Breaking down further, Tuesday's Election Night in America results. We're going to talk about a disturbing segment from the View that's getting a lot of attention. We're going to take a quick look at how things are faring in some socialist run cities. And we asked for it and you delivered a comment section. Read all of that and more today on 10 Minute Drill. Everybody get up. Get up. The story of America is the story of an adventure. I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. We are a nation under God, and I believe God intended for us to be free. Picking back up with Tuesday's primary elections, we wanted to give a little bit of a deeper analysis on some of those things that occurred and what it means heading into the midterms and really just for the state of the country. First off, Thomas Massie. Now, we talked a little bit about how Thomas Massie was somebody who'd gotten on the wrong side of President Trump. President Trump has been after him for quite some time. You may remember all the way back in 2019, Thomas Massie opposed President Trump's efforts for a disaster declaration in his first term to secure funds to build a border wall. Thomas Massie objected to that, which was something President Trump was really upset about. And I think over time, President Trump feels very vindicated on how that turned out. But another issue area was during the 2020 disaster or Covid relief discussions, Thomas Massie objected to some parts of that, enforced during the pandemic when travel was mostly locked down, every member to come back to Washington to vote on something. Now, some people looked at that and said, good, he's standing up for us. But it was one of many times where Thomas Massie has tried to just kind of be obstinate and act as the only true conservative. And so that's what's really gotten him on the wrong side of President Trump, is he stood against his agenda at every turn. And most of the time, House leadership can whip votes in a way so that Massie can do his sort of moral victory, stand aside, and his vote doesn't matter. But it's gotten more and more frustrating for the Trump team. However, Thomas Massie also knows that if he wants to have a future career in podcasting, it's much better for him to reframe his loss as a loss to the forces who support Israel, which is why he made this joke early on on Election Day. No, just in case I lose, they gave me the number to call to concede the the area code is Tel Aviv, though now he thought that joke was funny enough that he told another iteration of it in his concession speech. I would have come out sooner, but I had to call my opponent and concede, and it took a while to find Ed Gowrayne in Tel Aviv. Now, as you could hear, there's a little bit of a groan in the room. It's not very funny, but he clearly thought it was funny enough. And it sounds like he's had a few drinks. It's been a rough night, but it is disappointing. There's a lot of people who stood by Massie and supported him because of his convictions. He's been a big time advocate for things like a balanced budget amendment, of reducing spending, things that conservatives agree with. But for him to go out on this note of trying to frame everything as losing to Israel is very small and a little bit pathetic. But another race that people were watching really closely happened to be a Georgia State Supreme Court race. Now, this Supreme Court race would normally be something that doesn't get as much attention, but Democrats thought it was their opportunity to consolidate more power in Georgia. So you saw everyone from Kamala Harris to Barack Obama coming into the state to try and rally to flip these state Supreme Court seats, but they were massively disappointed. The Republican appointed Charlie Bethel won with over 51% of the vote, and the Republican appointed Sarah Hawkins Warren also won, holding onto her seat as well. This is an interesting dynamic because Georgia Democrats have felt a lot of wind at their sails and have thought that they sort of had amassed enough power to be able to do things like flip those seats. But they weren't able to do it despite having all this firepower and spending a lot of money in the state. What this means heading into the midterms in terms of momentum, Democrats have seized on every opportunity to say a special election is a bellwether for what's gonna if this is any kind of indicator about what's happening in November, Democrats might not have the massive enthusiasm advantage that they think they have. But the other big story out of Georgia is the nomination of former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms as their gubernatorial candidate. Now, Keisha Lance Bottoms was an absolute disaster as the mayor of Atlanta. She's perhaps best known for a major rise in crime around Atlanta, including an episode at a Wendy's where a little girl was killed during riots. And a lot of that happened because she didn't step in to restore order. And so that'll be a very interesting contest. One thing we've talked about quite a bit is how socialist leaders are doing now that they've been elected to higher positions. And this is also in response to a comment from one of our great friends on YouTube, Kelly Odom. Sorry if I'm saying your name wrong, but we appreciate you watching and we appreciate your comments. Want to look first at Zoran Mamdami. Now, Zoan has had a rough couple of months. You may remember this creepy video he did about taxing the rich. Well, today we're taxing the rich. Now, a big part of that video was actually about needling Citadel CEO Ken Griffin. He was outside of his home and saying, this is a guy we're gonna tax. That led to a really big problem for him where a number of millionaires and billionaires in New York said, if we're going to be targeted like this, we're gonna leave. We're gonna take our business and our employees and head down to Miami. And so since then, Zorin's had to try and kind of change his tune a little bit and say, actually we want you here. We want your money. We want, because, you know, you're pretty important to our tax base. But Zorron continues to try and sort of create these viral moments where he takes on long held conservative principles with his own spin on it. Here he is just this week on Ronald Reagan. I cannot help but think of the words of our 40th president, Ronald Reagan. He famously said the nine most terrifying words in the English language are, I'm from the government and I'm here to help. It's a good quote, but I disagree. I think nine more terrifying words are actually, I worked all day and can't feed my family. Well, Zoran, it's hard to feed your family if your employer moved to Florida to escape your predatory taxes. These things all work together. And Zoran might think that his vision of government control, government, grocery stores, things like that, are going to help people who are struggling. The reality is it's gonna make everything in life more expensive. And he's also not willing to touch the fraud or while he's asking for more and more taxes and revenue to light on fire. But another place with a socialist leader is Seattle. I think the claims that millionaires are going to leave our state are like super overblown. And if you know the ones that leave, like, bye now. That was Seattle's socialist mayor Katie Wilson, responding to questions about millionaires leaving their state after they passed a new millionaires tax. Washington state is set to impose a 10% tax on millionaires. And Seattle socialist mayor Katie Wilson is looking at even more Progressive proposals to separate residents from their money. So Seattle's seeing exactly what New York is seeing. They've got a socialist mayor who's running the city like it's a high school social studies experiment, trying to do things they know will get applause lines at Democrat socialist events. Like we're going to tax the rich, but it's not actually helping people. And they're chasing their tax bases away, which is leading to a need to make cuts to government services. And when you look at New York and the fact that they can't pick up their garbage, they can't shovel the snow, and you look at Seattle and you see the fact that there's still crime everywhere and they're not doing anything about it. Meanwhile, the actual employers and companies are leaving the state. You've got a major problem on your hands. And in Seattle, she's hearing it from members of her own party. Democrat who welcomed socialist mayors change now sounding alarm over billionaire exodus. Gravely concerned this is going to be where rubber meets the road for these Democrat socialist type candidates. They want these applause lines of taxing the rich just to be able to say they tax the rich. They don't have any good plans for using that revenue to help people's lives. And so you're seeing more and more of these wealth holders leaving the states. That's been a huge story from California that we've talked about quite a bit. When they started talking about this punitive wealth tax that was written by labor unions, you saw over a trillion dollars in wealth leave the state of California for places like Florida, which punched a giant hole in their state budget that they have no way to pay for. And they're definitely not gonna do anything about the fraud that's going out the other end of the door. So these socialist mayors and leaders have a major problem on their hands. And we'll continue to follow just so that we can highlight how this high school social studies experiment has gone completely wrong. We've talked a lot about Hakeem Jeffries and the fact that he's one, obviously not a very good leader, but two, not very good at inspiring his members. And one thing that we've seen with him is when his back is up against the wall, his rhetoric ramps up, but not really in a way that helps his base. But it definitely Republicans a lot to react to. Like this part of how we as House Democrats view this moment. Either MAGA extremists are going to break the country or we're going to break them. And our goal is to break them. We will defeat them. We have to beat them electorally, and then we have to break their spirit. Again, the universe of people that see this on the Democrat side and say, raw, yeah, break their spirits is pretty limited. But the people on the conservative side who see this and say, this guy wants to destroy my life and break my spirit, so I'm gonna be motivated to go against him is significantly larger. And we know that Hakeem has had a very rough month. He lit $80 million on fire in Virginia without making sure they had done the legal legwork to ensure that referendum would pass. And if you're a Democrat voter or donor, and you're watching Hakeem, you're saying, wait a sec, is that guy up to the job at all? He. He hasn't done anything to prove it. And so he will try and match that with inflamed rhetoric like this, posting pictures of himself threateningly holding a baseball bat, and hope that makes up the difference. But once again, Democrats right now are looking to Barack Obama in a number of these Georgia Supreme Court elections, things like even the Virginia referendum, because they have no national leadership. And once again, every time you look at Hakeem Jeffries, you understand why we asked for it and you delivered. We asked for you to give us more comments about things you'd like to hear, feedback, things like that. And so we really appreciate how many of those we've gotten, and we're going to highlight a few today. First, from TCTOM 2003. Very good. And I do like the more frequent pots, but what happened to the ballroom being paid for by private funds? That's a very good question. So the ballroom itself will still be paid for by private funds, but that $1 billion expenditure that's coming up in the Republican budget bill is for security, because they're building a massive apparatus under it to extend the rest of the White House grounds that will have a lot of functions that serve the White House and the executive branch. And so that's where that comes in. There's a huge security footprint and things that need to go along with that. And as I said, that billion dollars sounds like a lot, but when it includes one adding onto one of our oldest and most historic buildings and keeping a president safe from getting shot, I think Republicans feel like they have a pretty good case to make for this being worthwhile, especially when you consider the fact that we lose over a trillion dollars a decade on waste, fraud, and abuse and nonsensical things. That's my argument for it. You can agree with it or disagree but I just can't see the sort of end of the republic, you know, hair on fire argument from Democrats. Next one. Thank you so much for engaging with us and we'll always try and highlight it where we can A Democrat rising star in Texas is under fire for some insanely anti Semitic comments. First, Texas 35 Democrat candidate Maureen Galindo says she will convert ICE detention center in Karnes county into an internment camp for American Zionists. It will also be a castration processing center for pedophiles, which will probably be most of the Zionists, she added. So this woman finished first in her House primary in March and is leading in a runoff among Democrats for this Texas 35th district. It's a huge problem for Democrats, and Democrats mostly see it as a problem because it's gotten elevated and gotten attention. They've known she was a lunatic for a long time and are now speaking out because it's gotten national media attention. But she's also an offshoot of the kind of rhetoric that we've seen from a lot of Democrats who have a growing antisemitism problem. Axios wrote it this way. Axios Democrats scrambled to contain their Maureen Galindo problem. So again, as some Democrats are trying to sort of raise the alarm about this woman being a potential problem, we have to ask, is this who Keem Jeffries has in mind when he talks about trying to break our spirit? For our you can't make it up segment today we go to the ultimate echelon of academic excellence, the byproduct of the best leering centers has to offer. The book club where no one's read the book, our favorite wine mom story hour, the View. Now earlier this week, President Trump held a drug pricing event where he talked about his efforts through Trump Rx to lower prescription drug prices. And one person who was involved in this event was Mark Cuban. Now you'll remember Mark Cuban endorsed Kamala Harris. He's been a pretty big lib for a long time. But what Mark Cuban said is, I care about this issue enough that I'll put partisanship aside and come and talk to the President about it. Because Mark, Mark Cuban has championed things like price transparency and lower cost drugs for a very long time. And so credit to Mark for saying, President Trump wants to do something about this. I'm going to help him. But you know who didn't like that? Again, the old broads of the View. Okay, first of all, you lie down with dogs, you wake up with cribs, all right? And you know, I like Mark Cuban. I've always liked him. But this is a mistake. And once Trump puts his name on prescriptions, we're all gonna die, okay? It's outrageous to say we're all gonna die. If President Trump is involved in an effort to lower drug prices. I think President Trump's doing a few things on drug prices that will actually do more harm than good, like bringing in European price controls and things like that. But on this Trump RX and what he's doing with Mark Cuban is all very, very positive in an effort to reduce drug prices. But if someone like Joy Behar suggests that these are somehow now going to be toxic and kill people, it reminds me a little bit of Kamala Harris during the 2020 election when she said she wouldn't take a vaccine if it came during the time of the Trump administration when we were already worried about vaccine hesitancy. So when you try and weaponize partisan politics in that way, I think it's incredibly dangerous. And you have to remember the View is billed as straight news under abc. And yet it is a constant stream of, of dangerous, toxic disinformation. And when you wonder how people like the would be Trump assassin at the White House Correspondent's Dinner or even the Charlie Kirk assassin get so radicalized despite mostly consuming a normal view of media, this is how it happens. It's crazy wine moms like this who are telling you that President Trump's efforts to lower drug prices are going to kill you. It's incredibly dangerous. And I do hope at some point Trump people will look at the View and say, this does far more harm and radicalization to people than good. That is all the time we have for today. Thank you so much for joining us on 10 minute drill. Please, like, subscribe, leave us a review, tell your friends and have a great weekend.
