A major terror plot foiled around President Trump's fight night event. Elon Musk turns trillionaire and Democrats melt down about it. What that says about the state of our economic debate. We have another Waste Wednesday segment and another great welcome to America segment highlighting the fans from around the world who are coming here experiencing America for the first time. All of that and so much more today on 10 Minute Drill. The story of America is the story of an adventure. I can hear you. The rest of the world hears you. We are a nation under God and I believe God intended for us to be free. First off Today, Vice President J.D. vance continues his media tour trying to sell the American people on the new Iran deal. I'd caution Lindsey Graham and anybody else not to believe the hardliner propaganda in Iran, but to believe what's actually in the agreement. Now when the Vice president there expresses frustration at the fact that the American people, American media, even some Republicans are accepting the Iranian representation of this deal, there is something he could do to make it easier, which is release the deal itself. Release the text of the mou, which President Trump has said isn't gonna happen for several days, maybe even next week. But until that is released, it's going to be whack. A mole for Vice President Vance to continue trying to knock down what the Iranians are putting out as the deal. But to our first story of the day from Fox News, FBI disrupts alleged explosive Drone plot targeting White House UFC event Officials say the Secret Service and the FBI together have foiled a plot to attack President Trump's fight night event. The details of this are crazy. Five people were in custody as of Monday. Investigators identified 23 people as part of a potential network of plotters. The alleged plan involved using explosive laden drones to hit buildings near the event, force a mass evacuation and steer crowds toward a pre staged sniper team. Officials said A second wave was then allegedly planned to storm the White House gate, according to officials. As we learn more about this, it's very clear these were politically motivated potential assassins. Back to that Fox article, one suspect allegedly told investigators the goal was to target capitalist elites, billionaires or politicians who received donations from the American Israel Public Affairs Committee. The New York Post also had a lot of great details on these potential assassins. In a private chat group, the suspects debated targeting Senator Marsha Blackburn from Tennessee, Senator Jim justice from West Virginia, Senator Shelley Moore Capito from West Virginia, as well as West Virginia Reps. Carol Miller and Riley Moore. Each image was lifted from the website trackapac.com, which opposes the lobbying work of the American Israel Public Affairs Committee and records how much money politicians receive from pro Israel contributors. Now this group met in a TikTok group chat and their grievances, according to New York Post, included government corruption, the handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files, data centers taking up the water in communities and other government actions. Per the affidavit. This fits a trend we've been seeing the last several months of domestic terror coming from the far left. And when they use things like Track aipac, that's a tool widely used by the Democrat socialists and a wide range of Democrats to attack insufficiently anti Israel Democrats as well as Republicans. And when you see the type of rhetoric they were using about things, it's clear they were radicalized by both TikTok where they met, but also a steady mainstream left wing media diet from the kind of blue and on wine moms we talk about here every day. Very similar to President Trump's would be assassins as well as Charlie Kirk's assassin as many of you know, I am a die hard San Francisco sports fan. I grew up just south of San Francisco in Redwood City in Los Altos, California and grew up a die hard Giants fan. The Giants have been in the news for the last several days for a very interesting story from Sports Illustrated. Three Giants pitchers were issued a warning for Major League Baseball after they appeared in Friday's game against the Cubs with Bible verses written on their pride night caps. The league notified the players that similar behavior would not be tolerated in the future. For a city like San Francisco, people believe that the pride in political demonstrations come first, the sports come second, which is why the Giants are unfortunately terrible right now. But it's also important to note this isn't just a pride hat. This is the progressive pride flag. If you look at the top of that, you see black and brown and then the light pink and light blue of the trans flag. This is an altered 2018 version of the pride flag meant to encompass more than just gay rights. Designed in 2018 by Non Binary graphic designer Daniel Quassar, the flag Updates to traditional 1978 Rainbow Flag by adding a chevron on the left side to represent trans, non binary and marginalized POC communities. So three players on the Giants wrote scriptures on the pride hats and one Giants player wore just his plain hat. The San Francisco Chronicle and other San Francisco and general national sports media were not having it. 4 San Francisco Giants pitchers on this woebegone team opted to either deface their official uniform or ignore it altogether, hijacking the event for their own purposes. Now it's important to note when they say deface or ignore altogether, the deface they're talking about is right. Writing scriptures on their hats. Deface feels a little bit strong for that. But ignore altogether is a reference to the one player who wore a regular Giant's cap instead of a Pride cap. So again this wasn't optional. There wasn't really a good opt out because the official uniform as they declared it was the Pride uniform with the trans flag Giants symbol. And so it's interesting that the Major League Baseball organization issued a warning on this when if you look at what the Major League Baseball organization has authorized in the last few years, take a look at this Dodgers apologize and Reinvite Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence to Pride Night. You might remember in 2023 there was a major flap when the Los Angeles Dodgers invited the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, a group of drag queens dressed as nuns, which is incredibly offensive to Catholics, to their Pride Night celebrations to be a part of the festivities. There was so much outrage they uninvited them and then social media bullied them into re them. So they are an MLB authorized part of Pride Night celebrations. The other thing that's notable here is Josh Hawley wrote a letter to Major League Baseball asking questions about this. What does MLB think it's doing penalizing players for their Christian faith? They owe us some answers right now. So Senator Hawley is going to conduct a review of these practices because what he argues is the Major League Baseball Corporation is infringing on players ability, their religious liberty and their rights to express their religious views at the same time as they've forced these players to be a part of political demonstrations with political patches for organizations like Black Lives Matter or in this case politically charged Trans Pride flags on their hats. I think Major League Baseball is making a major mistake here drawing this line of saying scriptures are banned, trans flags and any other kind of political statement that that is actually charged by the left is acceptable. It's time for another Waste Wednesday segment. This from Fox News. Haitian fraudsters eye popping taxpayer backed drug scam puts Congress on the hunt. This one is interesting because it is part of a program we've been talking about here quite a bit. The 340B drug program that allows hospitals to get drugs at a massive discount on on the promise that they will give them to lower income patients at that discount. But instead of giving it at that discount they charge those lower income patients full price and get to keep the massive windfall. What this Haitian fraudster did was set up a massive scheme where he had nurses give out fake prescriptions to people. These patients took their fake prescriptions, got the drugs filled, filed the reimbursements and everybody made a ton of money. Jean Jethro Alexandre bought a $2.5 million mansion, Bentley and Mercedes fleet before being ordered to pay 14.3 million in restitution. Now, while he's only being forced to pay back 14 million in restitution as a part of this plea deal, he filed $58 million in false claims through Medicaid, Medicare and things like that and made millions of dollars and became incredibly rich while the lower income patients this program was built for got nothing out of it. And that is just one of so many of these fraudulent cases we've seen. A a lot of the cases that we've highlighted have been hospitals like Cleveland Clinic who've taken that taxpayer subsidized windfall and instead of helping patients, have built MBA practice facilities, have built 7,000 piece art museums, given million dollar CEO salaries despite it being a quote unquote nonprofit hospital. So again, this program is fraught with waste, fraud and abuse. But Democrats will lay across the train tracks to prevent any kind of accountability or oversight for from ever being instituted. Late last week you may have heard the news that Elon Musk became a trillionaire because of the SpaceX initial public offering that brought in a ton of money. And as you can expect, a lot of Democrats thought that was a huge problem. Adam Schiff tweeted, there is something terribly wrong about an economy that produces its first trillionaire but cannot provide healthcare for its people. Elizabeth Warren tweeted, elon Musk just became the world's first trillionaire. This needs to be a wake up call. Bernie Sanders posted 60% of Americans live paycheck to paycheck. Elon Musk is poised to become the world's first trillionaire. This is insane. We need an economy that works for all, not just Musk and his fellow billionaires. There's more and more and more. It almost felt like a copy and paste exercise from every Democrat who now the party widely has essentially adopted the socialist framing of wealth is bad. And they also started talking about all of their favorite pet ideas to deal with this a wealth tax, which is essentially a wealth confiscation where the government decides a certain level is an amount of wealth, that's enough. And then after that they can just start taking it away from you. Another policy that some Democrats that are closely aligned with socialists have been promoting is things like a windfall profits tax for companies Skyrocketing gas prices revive calls for windfall profits tax. And you can guess who's behind this. None other than the king of bad ideas, Ro Khanna, who we talked about quite a bit yesterday, who is worth more than $250 million and hasn't voluntarily given up his wealth to the government to help people, but believes that everyone else should be required to. And then of course, the king of the All White Beach Club's Sheldon Whitehouse. In March, Senator Sheldon Whitehouse and Congressman Ro Khanna reintroduced the Big Oil Windfall Profits Tax act to help redistribute some of these profits to American taxpayers and and protect them from fossil fuel industry exploitation. I like that this publication used the word redistribute because that is the socialist principle behind all of this. Who gets to decide what level of wealth is enough before it cuts off and all of your money is taken away and redistributed into our fraud filled government system. Who decides what level of windfall from a company is enough for it to be cut off and that company can no longer use use their profits to grow, expand and create jobs. It has to simply go back to the government to feed into the incredibly fraud filled system that our government has. My biggest issue with a lot of this is obviously the socialist part of it, but also the fact that these Democrats are demanding more taxes and more revenue without ever fixing the giant holes in the system where fraud is falling out. It's infuriating to see in a state like California, Ro Khanna, pushing windfall profits tax and this sort of wealth redistribution plan while California has hundreds of billions of dollars a year being lost to fraud. If you fix fraud, we can talk about revenue. But the reason Americans aren't getting health care if they're not getting health care isn't because Elon Musk is worth a trillion dollars. It's because Democrats have destroyed the system and are using all of their power to work against actually fixing it. And we already have a model of this failing. Jimmy Carter, known for economic success through the roof, just kidding, had a windfall profits tax in 1980. It didn't bring back enough revenue and it really hurt energy success in the United States and was eventually repealed. The main principle why this is such a failure is it wants to redistribute wealth, success and gains while privatizing and making sure people own any of the losses because the government isn't backing those up. So we want to encourage risk. As with yesterday, we want to highlight the great tourists Coming to America and experiencing it for the first time here for the World Cup. And today we're going to highlight a number of people visiting from Japan. Now, some of you know, Japan has a very special place in my heart. I lived there for two years as a missionary. I speak Japanese. I love everything about Japanese people in Japanese culture. And these fans and their energy remind me exactly why. First, this man is excited. I cannot speak English, but. But I'm excited. Yeah, baby. I love that energy. Here's some Japanese people talking about the first American food they ate. Steak, hamburger and Caesar salad.
B
So good.
A
Teddy rocks. Barbecue. How was it? Oh, very nice. Eat steak.
B
Of course, steak takes us barbecue.
A
Now I'm glad they're getting big steaks because big steak and beef is not as easy to come by in Japan and it's very expensive. Next, people we're going to highlight are talking about their first time in Texas. Texas. Texas is good. Everything is big. Everything is bigger in Texas. But the last thing I wanted to highlight from these Japanese fans was the incredible respect they have for both being in America and their experience in the stadiums. They stayed after the game and cleaned up all the trash in their section. That's the best. I love seeing all of these people visiting America, experiencing American greatness for the first time. But also great reminder Japanese people are the best. Japan is an amazing country. Everyone should visit. My message to the Japanese friends here visiting. Yokoso yoki reishai mashita kite kuret arigata kozaimita mata ni iroideni taksan steki oh tabete kudasai tanoshinde for you can't make it up segment. Today we talk a lot about champagne socialists and the fact that many of them want to impose socialist policies on this country while not living by them themselves. And one of my favorite paradoxes of American politics of this century is Bernie Sanders, who has become a millionaire by writing books and attacking capitalism, which made him a millionaire.
B
See a term. You know what? Let's buy a house. So we bought a house and guess what? Like many thousands of people in the state of Vermont, I have a summer camp. It's a nice one on Lake Champlain. That's it. Now, how did I get the money? You're right. I wrote two best selling books including this book on capitalism.
A
You gotta love Bernie. Only in America can you build a career and a brand off of attacking a system and then use that system to become a multi millionaire and buy multiple houses and only fly private.
B
The only way you can get around to talk to 30,000 people think I'm gonna be sitting on a waiting line at United.
