We are a nation under God, and I believe God intended for us to be free. First off today, as we've continued to follow the back and forth between the United States and Iran, one of the sticking points has been Israel and their fight against the Iranian proxy Hezbollah going on in Lebanon. There's been a lot of back and forth over the weekend. Israel firing on different places in Lebanon while they've tried to deal with Hezbollah and their threats were. President Trump announced yesterday that both sides have agreed to stop shooting at each other. Iran latest the shooting will stop between Hezbollah and Israel. Now, throughout this process, President Trump has also always acknowledged that Israel has the right to defend itself. So if Hezbollah continues to attack, Israel will have the ability to defend themselves and fire back. And this has been one issue that's kept this peace deal from ever happening is the fact that Iran has proxies all over the world that do not necessarily answer to the these kind of peace agreements. Another major thing going on on Capitol Hill this week, the reconciliation bill we've been discussing for Republicans in a party line vote to fund Customs and Border Patrol and ICE after Democrats have tried to defund both of those, has been in a precarious position over the last few weeks. Most recently because of concerns about President Trump's proposed weaponization fund. The fund that he wants to set aside to allow people who have been victims of weaponization by the federal government, particularly under the Biden administration, to get recourse for that. Republicans have raised a lot of questions about that, and Democrats have planned to use that to attack Republicans throughout this reconciliation process. Meaning that if Republicans propose this reconciliation budget bill, it is an open amendment process. And Democrats could force into that hundreds of amendments talking about weaponization, putting Republicans in a tough position. But yesterday, the Trump administration tried to essentially take that issue out of the debate by saying, well, we're going to abide by a Friday ruling by a federal judge saying that the weaponization fund is paused. And Republicans are hopeful that will allow this process to move forward. But we'll watch that closely this week. Today there are major primaries being held in California, New Jersey, New Mexico, Iowa and a number of other places around the country. But some of the people have been watching the most closely are in California. First off, the governor's race. Now, the California primary is a jungle primary, as we've described before, which means that Republicans and Democrats will be in the same primary and the top two candidates will advance. Democrats put this into place, hoping to keep Republicans from ever actually competing against anybody. But it's come back to bite them because Republicans have been more competitive than the clown car of Democrats who have lined up for this. But right now, the sort of common understanding is the top Democrats in this are Javier Becerra and Tom Steyer. And it's been incredibly fascinating to watch the number of Democrats who have come out to say that the only person who understands the travails of working class Californians is this billionaire climate activist Tom Steyer, who built a hedge fund, has fund ice facilities, all these things that Democrats purport to hate. He may end up being their frontrunner. There's also a very good chance that Democrats only win one of those top two seats. But Steve Hilton is vying for one of those top two spots, and so we'll see if he's able to make it through there. It's still a long shot for any Republican just because the partisan makeup of California. But again, when you look at the incredibly weak list of Democrat candidates, the fact that former Representative Katie Porter in most polls has been about 3 to 5%, it really is an embarrassment, but not that big of a shock when you consider that they're replacing one of the worst leaders in the country in Gavin Newsom. But the other race that people are gonna be watching really closely is the election in the LA mayors race.
C
The candidates all over the City of Angels over the weekend getting in one last pitch before voters head to the polls tomorrow. What appears to be a surprisingly close race.

Polling has shown that Spencer Pratt and the socialist candidate in the race, Nithya Rahman, have both gained eight points in the last few months, while Karen Bass has bled a ton of support. Particularly because Karen Bass doesn't really have anything good to run on, apart from the fact that she is a Democrat with experience. But when you say what has that experience done for the people of la, there's not a lot of good answers there. And the fact that she was in Ghana on a weird state visit. I don't know why mayors would ever be making state visits. But she was in Ghana during the Pacific Palisades wildfire and has been just a horrendous crisis manager in the wake of that. Shows why this is so tight. But we'll be watching this one closely to see. First off, if nobody reaches the 50% threshold, the top two finishers will advance to a runoff. Now, right now most polling has all three of those candidates within about five points of each other. So anything could happen. But Spencer Pratt has a lot of current energy on the ground simply because, as we've described here, he is making simple promises. Government will be accountable to you. We deserve better than what we're seeing here. So we will watch that race closely and get back to you more with results on Wednesday morning. We have followed the slow moving implosion of Graham Platner's campaign very closely. First point I wanna make today is in the last 20 years or so we've seen a lot of different things derail major campaigns. You'll remember Todd Akin, a candidate for Indiana Senate, very famous, derailed his campaign when he said in a debate that there was a difference between rape and legitimate rape. Legitimate rape has become essentially a moniker for how to blow up your campaign overnight. You'll also remember Graham Platner has suggested that women bear some responsibility for their own sexual assaults. I'd also point out that Roy Moore, a candidate for Senate in Alabama, was found to have attempted to carry on relationships with underage women in the 70s and 80s. That story was such a bombshell that every Republican dropped their endorsement of him and he ended up losing an Alabama Senate race. Republicans were so disgusted by Roy Moore, they allowed Doug Jones, a partisan Democrat, to win and hold that seat for two years until they were able to beat them in the next election cycle. So Republicans have distanced themselves from these kind of candidates. Another example of this is Mark Robinson, a candidate for governor of North Carolina who is found to have posted incredibly terrible things online, including support for Nazis and a lot of illicit comments. His comments sound a lot like the things that Graham Platner has posted quite a bit. So again, each one of these examples I highlighted derailed the campaign by one single one of those incidents. What do you do when you've got Graham Platner who checks all of these boxes of disqualifying behavior? For this, we brought in a special bingo card of campaign liabilities. Looking across the top there, you've got extramarital affair. Well, over the weekend we found out that Graham Platner was texting with 12 different women and sending illicit images to people who are not his wife. We also have Nazi tattoo, inappropriate comments about sexual assault, insulting key voting groups. You'll remember Graham Platner said terrible things about rural Mainers. So that's four just across the top five there. But also when you go down, you've got being caught in lies. Well, he told Manu Raju that he had nothing else to worry about in terms of opposition research. Here's that. Are there other skeletons from your past that still may emerge in this race? No Offensive social media posts definitely checks that box. Controversial Photos Resurface One thing that's interesting to track about this illicit texting scandal over the weekend is the fact that between six and 12 women have have illicit texts, including likely personal images from Graham Platner that could make their way to the surface at some point. Misogynistic remarks, plenty of those in his past. Homophobic or racist comments. Those were a part of some of his Reddit comments. We'll leave the bingo card there. You get the point. But one thing that's important to note, Janet Mills, the current sitting governor who suspended her campaign a couple months ago because she was doing so poorly against Platner, is reminding people right now her name is still on the ballot for the June 9 Democrat primary. We may see some effort to try and drive support her way because Platner is so toxic. I'd also note there are more stories to come on Platner, and they're even worse than the ones you already know about. So don't be surprised if we see more Democrats consider cutting bait. Democrats have been threatening for the last several years to destroy the Supreme Court, and a Wall Street Journal editorial that just came out over the weekend on highlights a number of the specific ways they're talking about doing that. Now this focuses on rhetoric from people like Hakeem Jeffries, who is an arsonist and has no good ideas but would love to tear down every institution that's not giving him his way. And Jamie Raskin, who I believe is one of the worst members of Congress. He's a law professor, but every time you hear him talk it sounds like he has no idea how the law in this country actually works. Wall Street Journal Democrats Promise to Wreck the Supreme Court Listen to Rep. Hakeem Jeffries, the betting favorite to be the next speaker of the House. The Supreme Court is a disgrace, he said in April. In the new Congress, we're going to have to do something about this Supreme Court. And let me be very clear, everything is on the table, everything to deal with this corrupt MAGA majority. Now, you have to remember here that President Trump has also been furious with the Supreme Court several times over the last few years because the people that he's nominated to the bench have not been MAGA enough for him. But Jeffries is talking about a few very specific cases, like banning racial gerrymandering as reasons that he wants to destroy the court. But the theme that you'll understand as you listen to these Democrats is they don't necessarily want to destroy the Supreme Court. They want to turn it into another arm of the legislature. And Raskin makes that a little bit more clear with his ideas. We've got 13 circuits, but we only have nine justices. So that means that under our best circumstances, four entire federal regions, four federal circuits, will be left out completely. Now, Raskin's trying to pretend there's some smart pretext for the type of court packing that Democrats have always wanted to do. But you'll remember they only want a court pack when they have the ability to pick the judges on the bench. And if Republicans right now were to say, let's go to 13 as soon as Democrats got in power, they'd say, all right, let's go to 21, something like that. But it gets worse. Mr. Raskin also has other ideas to bring the high court low. He recently introduced a bill that would deny the justices the power to choose which cases they hear under the Sec. OTUS act. Petitions would be reviewed by a rotating committee of 13 random appellate judges. This is a radical change that's hard to imagine all the implications. So one key thing to understand about the Supreme Court is they're incredibly intentional about what cases they take up. And they only want to take up the cases that they believe have a long track record of coming to them with a well developed history before they even consider them. Otherwise. They want to let the entire rest of the system decide those things first so that there is a history and case law for them to decide on. Jamie Raskin wants to be able to play a bigger role and have Democrats control what the Supreme Court decides on. Again, just another reminder, the Democrats want the Supreme Court to simply act as legislators. And if you give them power, that's what they're gonna do. One thing we talked about quite a bit here is that James Talarico, the Texas Senate candidate vegan, believes that there are six genders, believes that God is non binary, believes that our trans friends need abortion care, is a manufactured candidate. And one way to highlight this is if he seems really, really rehearsed. Well, this Video highlights the fact that he does rehearse and perform quite a bit.
B
Well, you know, I've gone to every corner of Texas over the course of this campaign, from Beaumont to El Paso, from Amarillo to Brownsville and everywhere in between. And I can't tell you the number of people who come up to me at the end of these events and whisper, I'm not a Democrat, like, they're in the witness protection program.
A
This is a video of Talarico describing how Republicans have come up to him at his events and to kind of quietly say, hey, I'm not a Democrat, but I really like you. And you know it's real because he's telling the same story 47 different times. If those two together, where even the ums and the pauses are rehearsed and identical, really surprise you. Imagine when someone was able to go in and find nine times when he's done that, the number of people who

came up to me at the end of those events, I'm a whisperer. I'm not a Democrat, like they were in the witness protection.
A
So we're gonna be watching Talarico very closely because his big effort right now is essentially Etch A Sketch everything he's ever said about anything so that people might believe he actually is this authentic Texas normal guy. And it's not gonna work. But especially when you see things like this that highlight just how manufactured and processed of a candidate he is

you can't make it up segment. Today, we go to Jill Biden's book tour. Now, I love a good Democrat book tour because it leads to interviews that often present uncomfortable questions. We talked a lot about Kamala Harris's book tour for 107 days. That could have been an operation of the Republican National Committee because it got her out there in a position to remind everybody why they voted against Democrats in 2024. Well, Jill Biden, perhaps in response to Kamala's book, which was in large part an entire book dedicated to blaming the Bidens for her unsuccessful presidential campaign. Jill's got her own response, and I will tell you, the book tour is not off to a good start. Here's one clip that might have gotten the most attention so far.
D
Never seen him like that. Never. No. What happened? I don't know what happened. I mean, when I. As I watched it, I thought, oh, my God, he's having a stroke.
A
Now, this has started a firestorm. The number of Biden aides who have come out and said, she is lying. This is something we saw all the time or she's lying. This wasn't a surprise at all is pretty shocking, but it's not the kind of narrative that she really wanted to come out of this book tour. And one thing that people have pointed out is if she really thought he had a stroke and was having a medical episode, why moments later was she doing this at a post debate event?
D
Joe, you did such a great job. You answered every question.
B
You knew all the best.
A
When she says you answered every question like she's talking to a four year old. It should have been a pretty good tell that this campaign was not in a good place. But she also later took him to Waffle House to celebrate, which is not something you do if you think somebody might be having any kind of health scare at all. Jill Biden might not be the most honest person in the world, but I am very grateful to her for reminding everybody why they voted against Democrats in 2024 because of the incredible dishonesty and terrible agenda that Joe Biden represented that they tried to shove into a closet. That is all the time we have for today. Thank you so much for joining us on 10 Minute Drill. Please like subscribe, leave us a review and have a great day.
