And of course, a great highlight for this week, the U.S. men's World cup team winning their first knockout round game since 2002 when I was a sophomore in high school and they celebrated it with Country Roads. For the one serious note we wanted to talk about today with America 250 and patriotism and all of the great vibes we have celebrating our country. We also have to highlight some of the threats to everything that we enjoy here and one thing that we wanted to touch on because it is so timely. Yesterday, State Armor, a nonprofit focused on highlighting the dangers of China's influence in the United States, released a bombshell report highlighting just how much China is doing to try and undermine the American economy and American energy, particularly through the legal system. This from FOX News. China linked green group training US Judges draws fresh heat as foreign ties fuel pressure at home. A national security group is urging Congress to investigate a prominent environmental law nonprofit over past partnerships and programming ties with Chinese government linked organizations, according to a report sent to lawmakers on Tuesday by State Armor, a national security organization. We've talked before quite a bit about the Environmental Law Institute and how their Climate Judiciary project has trained 2,000 judges in America to side with climate alarmism against US energy at the behest of the Chinese Communist Party. And State Armor's report today dives much deeper into that.

ELI operates on a dual track strategy in the United States. ELI promotes climate litigation theories that increase legal and regulatory pressure on American energy producers and industrial production in China. However, ELI has helped develop regulatory approaches that place far less pressure on Chinese industry.

Part of the reason this is so timely to America 250 is there's a very clear through line between American energy dominance and America having phenomenal resources and the ability to build such a strong country military economy tied to energy that China has seen that as a threat for a long time and has been working to undermine that and they found great allies in that with the Climate Judiciary Project and the Environmental Law Institute. So this is a major problem. Michael Lucci, the head of State Armor, they sent a letter to Congress to look into this and try and investigate just how deeply this influence has permeated as it is Friday, we wanted to share some of the highlights and the most important stories of this week. For those of you who may have missed them,

We destabilized a lot of the Middle east that forced people to believe that another act of violence was the only response.

So again, there's a lot of tape on this woman. She believes America deserved 9 11. She believes we should naturalize all illegal immigrants in the country, including the 20 million that came in under Joe Biden. She believes our foreign policy is Islamophobic, every bad idea you could have. She wants to ban private health insurance for Medicare for all. She occupies all of those terrible positions and she was able to win because of this sleepy primary where nobody showed up for the 30 year incumbent Democrat.

President Trump posted to Truth Social saying the Iranians requested a meeting and that meeting will take place tomorrow in Doha after two days of exchanges of fire between the United States, States and Iran over the weekend. It all started late last week when Iran targeted vessels in the Strait of Hormuz with one way attack drones. The US Responded with strikes in southwestern Iran. Well, when the Iranians attacked yet another oil tanker, the US Ramped up those strikes going after Iranian military surveillance infrastructure.

The challenge right now for the Trump administration is Iran is doing what Iran does best, run out the clock and make it seem like they're willing to come to the table to buy more time to stop you from bombing them. And then they continue to attack the Strait of Hormuz and continue to tell their hardliners inside their country and everyone around the region they're in control of the strait. Justice Alito asked a lot of questions during the oral arguments about birth tourism and this idea that has been playing out for the last several years of China having nationals come to United States and be born so they could automatically be citizens. And he raised questions about what it means that adversaries to the United States are able to essentially build up armies of American citizens that are also Chinese nationals. That have Chinese parentage and are likely loyal to China. President Trump has said he does not believe a constitutional amendment is required and some senators have also talked about a potential pathway to adjust this. This is from French Response, the official response account of the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. They say we're not banning ac, we're making sure future summers need it less. France has documented heat waves for hundreds and hundreds of years going back. I don't know what France has in mind to change their trajectory of heat ever happening there. Maybe they're going to blow up some giant croissants to block out the sun to keep temperatures down. But it's not real. But it is real if you happen to believe all of the non scientific world weather attribution nonsense that they're talking about.

We just, we're having the World cup right now. Every single country in the World cup has universal health care except us.

Now I'm always annoyed when I hear that sort of thrown in our faces because it ignores the trade offs. You can say universal healthcare and in a lot of these countries it is socialized medicine. But that comes with its own major challenges, including access to care. For example, in the UK there are massive wait lists for any kind of care you might need and it leads to terrible things like this. In the UK between September 2024 and August 2025, roughly 79,130 names were removed from healthcare waiting lists because patients died before getting care. 28,908 of them had been waiting longer than the 18 week standard and 7,737 had waited more than a year.
