There is a certain allure, I suppose, to living like the Amish or stepping back in time to a world without modern conveniences. I’ve been reading two books lately about two couples who did this very thing for a whole year. But while these books offer fascinating insights, not everyone can—or wants to—take such drastic steps. Today I’m pondering how those of us still in the modern world can integrate technology (specifically our phones, the internet, and social media) into our lives without letting it take over.
