The Bible with Daily Grace. This year we want to spend a few minutes with you every day walking through our study Christ and all of Scripture. Each week we will dive deeply into two passages of Scripture, one from the Old Testament and one from the New, seeing how they connect and point to Jesus.
Alexa (1:17)
Whether you are doing the study yourself or just following along with us here, we are hopeful that through studying these passages each week, you will see how Christ is not only present throughout the entire Biblical story, but the center of it. Hey everyone, welcome back to another episode of the Year in the Bible. My name is Alexa and I'm here with my co host Beth.
Beth (1:38)
Hi friends. Today we're going to dive a bit deeper into the passage that we annotated yesterday. Exodus 40, 34, 38. So we're going to start by discussing the context of this passage within the whole story of the Bible.
Alexa (1:51)
Yeah. So we've been discussing the Israelites time in the wilderness the past couple weeks. And here in Exodus 40, the Israelites are still in the wilderness. They've received the law from Moses given to him through God. But after the Israelites have heard all of God's commands, Moses shares with the Israelites God's command to build a tabernacle as well as these holy items that are to be connected with the tabernacle. God also establishes priests who are charged to take care of the tabernacle. And it's here in this tabernacle or tent to give you a better picture in your mind that God's presence is going to dwell. And that's what we see. After the completion of the tabernacle, God's presence comes to dwell within the tent.
