From Corolla One studios in Glendale, California, this is the Adam Carolla Show. Adam's guest today, Nick Shirley, Congressional Representative Brandon Gill, and the news with Andrew Hobson. And now, Adam Corolla.
Adam Carolla
Thanks, you guys. I was walking out thinking, what chair should I sit in? And then I realized when I did loveline with Dr. Drew, I always sat on the one on the left. That's before your time, son.
Nick Shirley
Yeah, I don't get that reference.
Adam Carolla
We're off to a flying start. Well, I mean, let's all feel old for a second. What year were you born, Nick?
Nick Shirley
2002.
Adam Carolla
2002. We'd all loved and lost by then, so obviously everyone's seen your stuff online. It really captured the zeitgeist of what I think a lot of us are feeling, which is the government. I'm in California and I make a pretty good living and the government keeps wanting more money from me. And I keep thinking, maybe you should stop squandering the money we're giving you. And you went out and unearthed it and brought it to light. But what was your journey like? I know you're on YouTube and you did videos and you did stuff before that. What brought you to fraud?
Nick Shirley
Yeah, it's kind of interesting. So I've been making YouTube videos since I was 15 years old. And for the past now about nine years, I've been uploading a video every single week since I was 15. And as I got older, I started looking into what was going on in the world. It turns out the world is very, very corrupt. And around 2020, I started looking into politics a little bit more, but you couldn't really post anything without being censored. I remember I made a video and I put the word Trump in the title and that video got demonetized, which means you can't make money. And then I took a two year break, came back and had learned Spanish. And then from there I started investigating what was going on at the border. And from that point on, for the past now about two and a half years, every week I made a video about what's going on here in America. And the fraud was just so bad in Minnesota that it was inevitable somebody was finally able to do something about it. And it just happened to be me.
Dawson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
I find it fascinating that you're uncovering fraud, or Elon Musk is uncovering fraud. And the way the left reacts is to burn down the dealerships he owns or to put a target on your back or make some sort of legislation that prevents you from uncovering what you're uncovering. I know we're pretty polarized, but did you think you'd get this much pushback from the left?
Nick Shirley
No, I thought like, oh, fraud, it's your money, my money, let's all celebrate that it gets exposed. But no, they were so angry that it got exposed. And I wondered, wait, why are you guys angry that this money is getting exposed? Like, they literally have a leering center.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Nick Shirley
And you're defending.
Adam Carolla
How many of those T shirts have you sold?
Nick Shirley
Quite a bit. A lot of people, it turns out, a lot of people like them. But the irony of it is crazy that we gave money to all these daycares and somebody thought they could open up a learning center where kids are supposed to learn. And they spelt learning wrong. So it is very funny.
Adam Carolla
I agree.
Nick Shirley
It's like perfect because it's like a bunch of stupid people taking all this money and they've messed up on the word learning.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, it's a. You know, I just, I like analogies. And this one just popped in my head. You know, we're constantly obsessed. At least the left is. Especially the new socialist wing of bringing money in. But saving money is the same as bringing money in. And they seem to have a disdain for the saving of the money and the. The fraud part. Like, you know, I like race cars. There's two things you can do to make a race car go faster. You can make more horsepower. But if you can't make more horsepower, you can just make it lighter and it'll still go faster. And so I'd like to live in a world where we made more horsepower and we lighten the car, like at the same time so we could kick ass on the track. These guys keep throwing sandbags into the car. And I think. I think they have shown themselves because you should universally be against fraud no matter what side of the aisle you're at. Independent, socialist, communist, Republican, Democrat. Against fraud. Universally. I mean, it should be. You should be against fraud. Like you're against gingivitis. Don't like it. My father in law's a dentist. No, but the fact that they're attacking you shows to me that they're not serious people.
Nick Shirley
No, they're not serious at all. And that was the great thing about the video, and I think that's why it went so big, is because it didn't just expose the fraudsters. It exposed the politicians that were supporting the fraudsters. They knew the fraud was going on, but they kept letting it go because they actually need the fraud. Like Tim Waltz, he raised the most amount of money from any other vice president in the history of America. And Tim Waltz was a high school football coach. Nobody really knew who he was before. And he was the governor of Minnesota.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Nick Shirley
And he raised the most amount of money. And then it turns out, like, I think she raised over a billion dollars. And they wasted a billion dollars in over just. Just over a hundred days.
Adam Carolla
Well, we talking about Kamala now? Kamala, yes.
Nick Shirley
But she chose Tim. Right? Like King Lear. And he had all this money from all these people, and somehow he raised all this money.
Adam Carolla
By the way, it is weird. These guys put up a front. Like they're normal. It's always funny when they're running. Like when he's vice running for vice president, he's like, he do those videos like, oh, hey, you caught me gapping my plugs in my International Harvester. Going out hunting later. Anyway, fellas. And then soon as that goes away, it's all trans and LGBTQ stuff. Like, it's weird. Like they. They let their freak flag fly as soon as they're out of the spotlight. But is the basic scam is the basic math for guys like Gavin Newsom or Tim Walls or any of These guys, which is the federal. The feds are paying for all of this, so I can get the federal government to pay all this money. It's not coming out of my pocket. Meanwhile, I'll get a lot of votes with this constituency, so I'm not going to have to pay anything. The feds will pay. I'll get the votes. And that's how this is going to wash out.
Nick Shirley
Yeah, that's a big part of it. Because a lot of the money comes from the federal government. And for so long we have been running off of good faith that, hey, we send you money to the state and we're going to trust you guys to do the right thing with the money. However, we've been infiltrated by these bad actors like the Gav Newsoms, Tim Waltz, Ilhan Omar's. And then they use our federal dollars incorrectly because nobody ever checked.
Adam Carolla
Right. Well, they don't need to check because it's not really their money. And checking can get you into trouble with your constituency. You know, you can. You end up. Now we're sort of at the point where the people that are doing the checking turn into the bad guy, which is essentially what you did. And since you're basically just running it like a popularity contest, trying to get votes and this is a big voting block for you, why would you agitate those people? So it's kind of a baked in bad relationship if you think about it. How much of this stuff. Now, see, I take it a step further, which is I don't think I'd like to get rid of all the fraud, but I also think a lot of it is just baked into the system. Like when we were young, we traveled. You never saw a dog at the airport. But at some point they said, oh, you can travel with your dog as long as it's emotional support dog. And everyone. Great, I'll get a note online. And now I'm traveling for free with my dog. Are these criminals? They're not criminals. They're just Americans who want to travel with their dog. There's a system. They will game the system if you tell Everybody, hey, there's 1,400 bucks a month extra for you from the government if your kid is on the autism spectrum. Guess who's going to find a kid who has autism. So I think a lot of the systems need to be completely reworked.
Nick Shirley
Oh, 100%. And I remember when the Minnesota fraud came out, they, they went and did that. They were like, okay, we're pausing. The amount of money we're giving to you. Guys, just send us proof of receipt and we'll send you guys back the money. Not a single daycare could send them the money or send them the receipts.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Nick Shirley
And that, to me, was very telling. Like, this system that they've built up is obviously extremely fraudulent, but it is baked into it. Like, these cities, these populations of people, they need the fraud. Like, quite literally, they need the fraud to be able to pay for their family. And then these politicians need the fraud because it allows them to control this voting group of people. And when you have, for instance, Minnesota, you have Somalians, and you have 80,000 of them, and all them will then go vote for you in a matter of minutes when you tell them, hey, come vote for us. Remember who's paying you.
Adam Carolla
And so after Minnesota, you set your sights on California, and then how is it you determine where you're going to go?
Nick Shirley
Yeah, I think California is very obvious because so much fraud. And then now I have a new video coming out tomorrow from New York City, and you'll be like, like flabbergasted by how much money goes into some of these programs that we're paying for. I mean, we're paying for Koreans to do tai chi inside of an adult daycare. Did anybody know that you were paying for some Korean in Flushing, Queens to do tai chi right now? Because it's going on. Like, we have all these systems set up and all these programs set up and nobody actually knows. Like, hey, that's government funded.
Adam Carolla
Right?
Nick Shirley
Like, we're walking by these locations, we're walking by all these hospices in California. Oh, it's just been happening for years now, but it's all government funded.
Adam Carolla
I never figured out why there was this big backlash with doge. Like, I was like, obviously there's tons of fraud, waste and abuse. These guys are trying to uncover it. Why? I mean, I know you hate Trump, but don't you have to come up with a sort of logical reason? What's the number one, like, the Nick Shirley bill that California passed recently? You know, you've arrived when there's a bill named after you.
Nick Shirley
Pretty funny. But that also exposes them.
Adam Carolla
I was looking to just get a sandwich named after me. I thought that, you know, some local deli. But yeah, what. What do they logically say? Because they don't go, we hate Nick, we love fraud. They. They always give some BS answer. It's bs, but they have to form an answer, right?
Nick Shirley
Yeah. So for the case of the Stop Nick Shirley act, official title, that's AB2624 and what they're saying is that it's going to become a crime to look into immigration support service providers. So your tax dollars right now go to fund the. It funded the open borders, and then now it's funding the legal process for these illegal migrants to become U.S. citizens. And it's also funding all this other stuff, from the healthcare to, you name it. And they're trying to make it illegal for somebody to go out and film outside and say, hey, this location that just received $80 million is immigration support service provider. And if you post this video and we had given you a piece of paper saying, hey, don't publish this, you're gonna have to pay a $4,000 fine. And then you're also gonna have to pay for our attorney fees. And that's just the start of it. The wording's very, very broad about what it could actually mean.
Adam Carolla
And who was the engine behind this, do you know?
Nick Shirley
That's the funny part, is the assembly woman who made this, her name is Mia Bonta. Her husband is the Attorney General of California. And what's so funny about it is he was trying to take credit for exposing the hospice fraud after I had just went and exposed it. And then just a few weeks later, his wife comes out with this bill to make it illegal to go and expose that type of fraud. And they're trying to say, hey, it has nothing to do with Nick Shirley. It has everything to do with me. Because they never, ever thought about making this bill until I exposed the Minnesota fraud, and then I exposed the California fraud, and they're using immigrants to commit the fraud.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, no, it's kind of a good point, which is, if this was a bill that was necessary, why didn't you make it six years ago? How come you made it ten minutes after Nick Shirley exposed the fraud? Seems like more than a coincidence. What is your general reaction? Like, how do people react to you? Do you get death threats when you walk through the airport? Do you get a thumbs up? Like, how. What is just the general vibe? Because you can kind of tell. I would always tell people when they go, is your show popular? Or how are the ratings? Or whatever. I go, you can always tell if you're on a popular show because you go through an airport and people yell, you know, hey, there goes Norm MacDonald, or, you know, literally, six months after the man was dead, I still got it. But what's the general reaction that you get? And do you get a lot of hate mail?
Nick Shirley
Super positive. Very few times have people ever been angry because, I mean, you have to be retarded to be angry at the person exposing the fraud. People are very, very much supportive because they realize, like, they're seeing this, like, oh, they're going at, like the politicians are going after the person exposing the fraud.
Adam Carolla
Yes.
Nick Shirley
And like, just today in the airport, multiple people come up to me. And for the past six months, I haven't gone anywhere where I haven't gotten recognized and someone's wanted a photo or just to say thank you.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Nick Shirley
And those that maybe aren't so grateful for it, they happen to be the fraudsters or people who made money from the fraud. I think they're too scared to say something to me because maybe they'll get posted in a video.
Adam Carolla
What is the most grotesque use of the money? I mean, they. You hear the stories about the. Bought the vacation homes and bought the Lamborghinis and so on and so on and so forth. But what, what is the most egregious use of this fraud money that you've seen?
Nick Shirley
Well, the housing industry in Somalia is booming right now.
Adam Carolla
Really?
Nick Shirley
I was watching a news clip yesterday from Africa News, and it's a man from Minnesota talking about building his new house in Somalia.
Adam Carolla
Oh, it's interesting. So they had all that cash going out of the airport, right?
Nick Shirley
Yes. For years and years, all that cash was leaving the airport, which is another.
Adam Carolla
It's such a. Okay, so here's how our society works. You, you can't make it through security with toenail clippers, but if you pack a steamer trunk with cash, you get a high five on the way to Somalia. Like, I just think that's a weird way to run a government, you know?
Nick Shirley
Like, that's the crazy thing. People don't understand how bad it was in Minnesota. Like, I've spoken to people who, like, we're refugees from Minnesota. We left Minnesota because that's how bad it got there. But like, the airport, they just let literally millions of dollars each and every single day go through it without anyone ever saying anything because they're too afraid to be called Islamophobic or a racist.
Adam Carolla
Well, I mean, it's an interesting phenomenon, which is if you create a society like, so I don't. I'm glad all you guys are sitting down. But Liz Warren is not actually Native American. Hold on, let me explain. I know, burst a few bubbles there. She is a white chick. But if you compel her to say, I'm Native American because I'll get a scholarship or something out of it, then you're going to get a whole Bunch of people claiming to have a certain heritage. If you say, look, we're not going to let any white kids into ucla, but if you're part Iroquois, well, then they're going to have a lot of people claiming a lot of stuff. So it's going to go that way. If you are going to say, look, we live in a racist society and if you accuse a person of color or Somalian or somebody of doing, we will call you a racist and a xenophobe, well, then you are saying to those people, don't worry, you can get away with this stuff because people will not confront you because they. They don't want to be called racist. And it will create more.
Nick Shirley
Yeah, that's where a lot of the problems, like the woke mind virus, like, that's why they hated Elon so much because he finally went after it. Like, it's very. Like, if you look at, like how the word white supremacy or racism has been brought up out the media, like, it's insane to see how much more they're using it versus they used it 10 years ago.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Nick Shirley
It was orchestrated.
Adam Carolla
Right. And it's going to create fraud and it's going to create it in a community if you cannot call out that community without being called bigoted. And it'll work perfectly. And that's essentially what it was. I don't know how far back it goes. Obviously, Tim Walls did nothing about this. It's a little game I like to play called stupid or liar. Like when people go, hey, man, I wasn't in on it. All right, well then you're super stupid or you're a liar. It's one or the other.
Nick Shirley
I'm sure it was going on before him. And then he just didn't do anything to stop it.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Nick Shirley
And that's the sad thing is, like, he was elected and then he was even like, the crazy thing about me taking down Tim Waltz is he was almost the second most powerful man in the world.
Adam Carolla
Oh, yeah. Him and Kamala.
Nick Shirley
And. And none of this would have been exposed if he had won, obviously. But he obviously knew about the fraud. Keith Ellison knew about the fraud. Ilhan Omar knows about the fraud. She helped orchestrate the fraud. And now we're seeing it today. They just actually, the main daycare that received the most amount of money in Minnesota received $3.67 million. That lady had just pleaded guilty today for the fraud. And that's the main daycare in Minnesota. So imagine all the other ones. So Tim Waltz, he knew about it. He's complicit in it.
Adam Carolla
I totally agree. Are these guys ever going to have their day in court? Because I know for a lot of us, like, I would like to see Fauci have his day in court. I got a whole laundry list of people I'd like to. To see in court. But we talk about it, but nothing ever seems to come out the other end, you know? And I don't know if you have any insights on this, but do you think there's going to be actual days in court for a lot of these people?
Nick Shirley
For the politicians?
Adam Carolla
The politicians, yeah. Because I mean, the reality is the fraudsters are the fraudsters or the fraudsters. They're is old this time. They're a dime a dozen. The politicians are the ones I'd like to really see penalized.
Nick Shirley
Yeah, I think that's what we all want to see.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Nick Shirley
Because there's somebody who turns on the switch to allow the fraudsters do the dirty work.
Adam Carolla
Yes.
Nick Shirley
And like, I think Ilhan Omar, like, it's unbelievable right now that she hasn't been taken to court or that like, even Republicans and Democrats block like this motion or subpoena to get her to testify about something. It's like, what's going on?
Adam Carolla
Also, I don't know. It seems patently clear to me that she hates this country. She just appears to despise this country, which is kind of a weird way to go for a country that rescued you and now is enriching you. But, you know, some people did something and, you know, what are you going to do? So where are you off to next? Is it back to California? And is there a lane of fraud that we haven't explored yet? There's hospice care, there's the leering centers, there's all that. Do you have a hit list of things to do?
Nick Shirley
Yeah, I do. So I have kind of.
Dawson
I have.
Nick Shirley
I'm calling like the fraud summer because, like, there's so much fraud here in the United States. I could be somewhere each and every single week exposing some fraud scheme. And luckily, a lot of the fraud starting to expose the fraudsters on high alert. But still the fraud is so big and there's so much of it. I could be somewhere each and every single week exposing this fraud. So when I look at the fraud, I run the numbers and I look at where is the most amount of fraud? Where are people going to be most intrigued to see the fraud be exposed or what kind of fraud is being committed? And it just so happens to be that the majority of this fraud is inside These Democrat strongholds. And so I do have, like a new video coming out from New York City. I filmed a whole entire video on the NGO industrial complex inside of California.
Adam Carolla
Oh, my God. Yeah.
Nick Shirley
In la. It's so bad. I think I should stay around LA a little bit longer. Or California a little bit longer.
Adam Carolla
Well, I mean, the NGO complex, you know, you don't need any inside information to know there's a ton of fraud. Because how do you spend $24 billion on homelessness and end up with more homeless people? Like, there's no other endeavor that works that way. Like, what if. Is there any version where, like, I spent a billion dollars remodeling my kitchen, it's worse than it was when I saw it last time. Don't worry, I need another billion. I mean, obviously there's just a math that doesn't pencil out. And in a weird way, you talk about systems, I even starting to think that way about charities. Like, you know, I'm from la, we had a fire. Kid dressed like Paul Revere. I like it. They had a concert, they raised $100 million. The money was supposed to go to victims of the fire. None of the victims of the fire got any of the money. It all just went to groups. And the groups were sort of get out and vote Democrat and, you know, Queers for Palestine. And it's like, I don't even know. Does charity. Can you even give to charity anymore? Like, is there. Is it all fraud? Like, I guess what I'm saying is I was a Catholic Big Brother for a while, and I love that program. But you go, you show up, you sign up, you get the kid, and you know where the charity's going because it's. It's you. This part where you give money to these charities and you end up finding out that only 3% of the money ever gets to the kids or gets to the. Whatever is on the front of the office. I don't know. I'm starting to lose faith in the system overall, is what I'm saying.
Nick Shirley
Yeah, it's very sad because, like, we all want to help people, but when it turns out that when we give money to a charity, it's actually not going to help the child or it's not going to help the person who the charity was created for. And these NGOs are basically the same thing, but they get money from the government, from your tax dollars, and someone else is just enriching themselves.
Adam Carolla
Well, so explain, like, how a typical NGO for homelessness, let's say in la, would Work.
Nick Shirley
Yeah. So let's say you want to create an NGO in California, in la, to help combat the homelessness. And the way we're going to do that is we're going to help the homeless get off the drugs by giving them the paraphernalia to continue to do their drugs. And then we're going to create another NGO where we're going to have them go after we just got them hooked on the drugs to go and get the rehab. Like they create these, these like economies where it's literally a revolving door where they create, they create the problem, they create the solution that creates another problem.
Passenger Woman
Right.
Adam Carolla
And they're getting that money from the government.
Nick Shirley
Yes. A lot of these are government funded
Adam Carolla
and they don't seem to have to yield any kind of results because there's no possible way this would be acceptable if this was a private sector industry sort of thing because the results are so abysmal.
Nick Shirley
Yeah. And it's tax free too. So like if someone were to donate to that ngo, that money is tax tax free.
Adam Carolla
So lawsuits.
Nick Shirley
An NGO means non government organization, but they receive money from the government.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Nick Shirley
Like that makes no sense.
Adam Carolla
Have you. Yeah, I feel that way when women say I donated my eggs for 25 grand. You donated your eggs? Thanks, Hiro. Have you spoken to Elon? Is he reached out to you? Have you guys ridden a bicycle made for two? Like I just picture you guys out on a doge date. You know,
Nick Shirley
I have met Elon once. It was very cool. I met Elon and I asked him like, what's the most, like, what's, what's the fraud? That's like the worst one that people don't really think about. And he said election fraud is right. Really bad. And remember like the government, the Democrats, Republicans, they had the opportunity to have the smartest man, the most successful man and the richest man in the history to help them. And they denied that help from Elon.
Adam Carolla
Yes.
Nick Shirley
And when I went out and exposed it, I think it was kind of like a sign of relief for him because it was like, I tried so hard to help you guys and you guys denied me. And here's a 23 year old with a hoodie and a fuzzy microphone and he just destroyed you guys. And so when I met with Elon, I was very nervous, obviously, and I had like, what I was going to speak to him about and pretty much as soon as I got in the room with him, that just went out the wall, went out the window and we just spoke about the fraud and how bad it Is. And it was very interesting and I think it's very cool too that somebody like Elon who's running all these businesses also cares about where our money's going. He cares about where society is going. Something he told me was, I was like, well how do I, how do I like this fraud's obviously really bad. How do I go out and like make the most the biggest difference? He's like, well you need to get like minded individuals and you need to be ready to assemble. The left protest because they don't have jobs.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Nick Shirley
The right needs to protest as well. Like for, think about it like California. They're trying to pass this bill to stop people from looking into the fraud. And there's been no pushback by no, no journalism, no journalists have pushed back. No journalists organizations have pushed back. It's just been me. It's like, why isn't there anyone else angry about this bill?
Adam Carolla
Well, I would assume that you would inspire more people that go out and motivate and I'm not talking about, I just mean more fraud reporters. Basically sort of guerrilla ask like you. Your video would get shared a billion times and there'd be young other Nick Shirley's coming along.
Nick Shirley
Yeah. And there have been, which is really good. But also a lot of people, I think they're scared because they saw what happened with me. When someone goes and doesn't good for society and like everyone starts pushing back on him and now he has to walk around with security when he goes out to go film a video. Like, I don't really wish that upon other people. But it is critical that each one of you know that you can actually make a difference in your, in your, in your neighborhood or in your community just by simply documenting what's happening, posting on the Internet. And right now you actually do have a government that cares about the fraud being exposed. They created a whole new task force just to go after fraud. So if you know something's going on inside your neighborhood, do your best to document that. You don't have to go make a viral video, just document, post it and get it in the hands of the right people inside of the government and you'll see a difference inside your communities. For so long, people have felt like handcuffed. But you don't need to feel that way. And it's your responsibility actually to do something.
Adam Carolla
You are brave when you go out because people are hostile and they get around you and you know, people are crazy and folks do crazy things these days, as we've unfortunately seen in the news. You have a kind of a, I don't know, calm naivete about you or something that ends up making you sort of bold enough to get. Get out, go into hostile environments. How much of that is your faith?
Nick Shirley
I think it has a quite a bit to do with it. I think it also has quite a bit to do with me being the younger brother. Me playing football when I was younger.
Adam Carolla
Oh, you said you had an older brother that beat on you.
Nick Shirley
Of course.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, you gotta have that.
Nick Shirley
Of course. But also like, the faith definitely helps, like knowing, like, okay, like, like knowing who I am personally, like, that helps. A lot of people don't know who they are like, personally, and I do know who I am and that helps me a ton. But also like, I know I'm just going in pursuit of the truth. Like, you shouldn't have to worry about that.
Adam Carolla
I agree, you shouldn't have to worry about it.
Passenger Woman
But.
Adam Carolla
Nobody who gets sucker punched should have to worry about it.
Nick Shirley
You know what I mean?
Adam Carolla
Like, she's just an elderly Asian woman walking to the supermarket. She shouldn't have to fill in the blank. But yeah, it's happening out there now. And I think I saw you in New York going into some of the. There's a lot of street vending going on in New York and there's a lot of street vending going on in la. And those guys are pretty territorial and pretty hostile.
Nick Shirley
Very hostile. And they're literally criminals who sell drugs on the street of New York City. And they don't like me because I've showcased what they've done. But that's the thing too. I'm not trying to go in, prove people wrong. I'm just showing people what's going on. Even when I go to protest. I'm not trying to debate with a protester about their ideology. I'm just going to ask them, hey, why do you believe in this? Then asking the second question like, oh, do you actually believe in this? And then what sucks is they just don't actually believe what? They don't actually know what they're believing in. So you ask them a follow up question and they just start freaking out. Yeah, they're like, hey, it's kind of
Adam Carolla
funny because wait till you get married. Pretty much 24 7, living with a crazy protester who does not even know what they're talking about.
Nick Shirley
So yeah, it's hilarious.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, you got that to look forward to, Nick. Well, I think we about run our time here. Any parting words for the partisan crowd?
Nick Shirley
Well, I would just say like the Most important thing is to go after the truth and search for what's going on. And that means you're searching for the truth inside your community. And then don't be afraid to see something, say something, post something, because if you don't do something. The reason why I got so bad in Minnesota for so long is because nobody ever said anything. They were too scared to. It was right in front of their faces. The layering center was like two blocks away from where the Minnesota Timberwolves play and no one ever did anything about it. So I would say just encourage you guys to go out and do something and also encourage younger people to go out and do it. I know a lot of you guys have grandchildren, have kids and like, I started doing this stuff when I was 15 years old. I remember saving up just to buy the new iPhone so I could do it. Now the new iPhone is so good that it's outperforming all these other news channels with an iPhone and a fuzzy microphone. Like encourage other people to go out and do stuff. And it doesn't have to be that complex. Like the truth. It shouldn't be that complex. Like is it true or not? So go out and do your best to help your community because somebody needs to do it.
Adam Carolla
Speaking of the new iPhone, there it goes, Nick Shirley, everybody.
Nick Shirley
Awesome. Thank you guys.
Adam Carolla
Let's hear it for Nick Shirley and Adam Carolla.
Nick Shirley

All right. Congressman Brandon Gill, a rising star in the Republican party, a guy I'm a huge fan of because I'm pragmatic and he's very pragmatic, has joined us. Good to meet you.
Brandon Gill
It's good to meet you as well. Thanks for having me.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. I'm a big fan of your work because of. I think it's your technique, your understated, sort of quiet technique and sort of relentlessness to get at the truth, which is making a lot of people you speak to sound insane. And I think when you shout over them, it's kind of what they want because they can just run the clock out. But is that the way you always approach things? And maybe I should play a clip, one of my favorite clips, which is you talking to the lady in charge of Snap who's trying to defend sugary sodas as part of a healthy diet. I think we should take a minute and play this just to let everyone know exactly who you are. And then we will carry on and people will understand it. But it was recent. I don't know, a couple weeks ago, was it?
Brandon Gill
Yeah, this is about two or three weeks ago.
Adam Carolla
And I think you and I are the same way, which is the way most Americans are, which is I'll give money to people who are hungry, who need food, but I don't want to pay to make them fat.
Brandon Gill
That's a pretty basic principle.
Adam Carolla
And also, look, no one said you can't have soda. If you'd like to bust open your piggy bank and get $1.25, then you can buy yourself your own Coke if you'd like.
Brandon Gill
Oh, exactly. I love Coca Cola. I think most Americans do. I just don't wanna pay for other people's Coca Cola. And I don't want my constituents to have. For other people's Coca Cola.
Passenger Woman
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
You cannot buy cigarettes with snap. Right,
Brandon Gill
exactly. And you know the purpose of snap? I mean, not to get into the weeds, but I mean, this is a Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program. It's for people who. To make sure that they have the basic nutritional needs. It's not so that you can go out and buy a bunch of junk food to gorge yourself on. It's just to make sure that we have basic. And I think most people would agree Coca Cola doesn't fall under that banner.
Adam Carolla
Well, it's sort of like saying, look, they're low income people and they can't get to work. So we have a government program that will help them finance a car so that they can get to work. And now they're saying, I want some cool aftermarket rims for this car. And what I'm saying is, no, no, you just have basic transportation. That's what we'll give you. You need to get to work and back. You don't need to look good on the weekends. I will play this clip, one of my favorites from a couple of weeks ago.
Brandon Gill
What does SNAP stand for is a
Adam Carolla
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program.
Brandon Gill
What's nutritional about Coca Cola?
Female Commentator
I am not a nutritionist.
Nick Shirley
I am a food security expert in ensuring that individuals have the food resources that they need. I'm.
Brandon Gill
This is a common sense question. All of these have been common sense questions. I'm just asking you, is there nutritional value to sugary sodas? There's a yes or no question.
Female Commentator
I am not an expert. I would have to look at the dietary.
Brandon Gill
You're not an expert.
Adam Carolla
All right, we got it. So you need to be an expert nutritional expert to tell you if drinking Orange Crush is not good for you. And you also need to be a biologist to tell if there's a difference between a man and a woman. So they're gonna have to start showing up with a lot of experts to figure out this. This is getting pretty complicated, isn't it?
Brandon Gill
Oh, yeah. Oh, it is. They like to make it far more complicated than any of this stuff. You know, there's a certain level at which I think politics can be very easily understood if you just use a lens of basic common sense. You know, one of the common questions that you hear at hearings, and I've asked it a few times, can men get pregnant? The answer is obviously no. Nobody outside of some, like, very insane circles believe that men can get pregnant are sugary sodas. Good for you. Is that, you know, is that, should that be part of a taxpayer funded nutritional plan? Like, obviously not. That doesn't make sense. That's not the purpose of that program. And it's not right to take money from the American people to pay for that. And you know, so often things get, I think, made far more complicated than they actually are. Whenever just basic logic, basic common sense can help us understand so much more than at least that the political left would want us to.
Adam Carolla
Well, it's an interesting thing, which is you have people hauled in front of you and they have to argue with 2 is 2 is not equal 4, or gravity doesn't exist, or here's a bunch of stuff I said 10 minutes ago, but you took it out of context. They really are making fools of themselves. There is a version of this that if you said to me, you ask me, I'm the head of snap, why do we need to subsidize and pay for soda? Go ahead, Brandon Gill. I'll wait.
Brandon Gill
Right, exactly.
Adam Carolla
Say it.
Brandon Gill
Why do we need to be paying for this? That's sugary sodas, junk food, whatever it is, that's the question.
Adam Carolla
I get what you're saying. It makes sense. None of us want our kids to drink 2 liters of soda in the morning. We wouldn't do that. But there's an other side of this that has to do with a more societal part that these people don't wanna feel like they're on a short leash from the government. They wanna just blend in and fit in with the crowd and their kids. So there's a social side of it. I get it. It's not nutrition. It offers no nutritional value. But I'm saying there's a social, environmental part of this and that's why we. We pay for Coca Cola. Something other than what she said. I'm not Jack lalanne, so how would I know? Right? Are you surprised that you don't get more nuanced answers out of these people instead of them just sounding clinically insane?
Brandon Gill
Well, I think there's a certain level at which I'm not sure how much more nuanced you can get. I mean, again, these aren't complicated issues. I mean, I guess you could come back and say that to your point, we believe that everybody should have the same food options or, you know, whether it's taxpayer funded or not. But the question itself is really simple. Should we pay for this stuff? Should my constituents have to pay for other people to eat junk food? Does that make America more healthy? The answer Is. No. Does that make us more prosperous or more productive in any way? No, of course it doesn't.
Adam Carolla
Why isn't this bipartisan? Why isn't this just a super basic. This is a layup of a problem and a layup of a question. I don't know, 25 years ago, if you could have found a political opponent or congressman, what have you, Senator on either side of the aisle that wouldn't want. Sure, yeah, makes sense. I get it. Let's not fund that. Why is this even this complicated?
Brandon Gill
Well, I mean, I think candidly, I think you've got two different visions of what the American sort of welfare state should look like. I think that on the Republican side, we basically believe at a core level there should be a social safety net to help people get back on their feet to become self sufficient. And it's always been the Republican view that if you want to drink Coca Cola, drink all the Coca Cola you want to, we just shouldn't have to pay for it. But I've got. No, I love Coca Cola. I think on the other side of the aisle you've got this view that SNAP and all of these programs should be as expansive as possible to have the government have their hands in as much of this as it possibly can so that they can use it as a political cudgel against the other side of the aisle, against my side, the Republican side, to try and claim that we're taking away something from the American people that they're owed. Whenever we are making these basic distinctions, that maybe we should, maybe we shouldn't pay for junk food for people, they want to use that as a hammer against us, that we're trying to take things away whenever obviously we're not. And that's where I think the common sense comes in, where that sort of basic distinction, it becomes really relevant. I will say candidly, there's also a very large sugar lobby in Washington that impacts both sides of the aisle. And there's a lot of people who make a lot of money off of this stuff.
Adam Carolla
It strikes me that everyone sort of talks about college campuses and how they've been captured and they're politically left leaning and they're pro Palestine. And this is crazy that our college campuses have all been indoctrinated. But then I see you talking to the head of the American Bar association, aclu, Coastal Commission, Teachers Union, Southern Poverty Law Center, Sierra Club. They're all captured. And this is kind of an interesting thing for me. We don't need this clip, by the way, Booth. But it's not just the colleges, it's all the institutions who started off as the Coastal Commission is there to protect the California coastline. When did they become radicalized leftists? When did the Sierra Club become radicalized leftists? Or the ACLU or any unions or any groups? It's literally they all eventually get enough college grads in their ranks to then become leftist propaganda groups instead of whatever their initial statement was, which was to protect the forest or protect the coastline or whatever it is. I mean, you see it in every one of these groups you speak to, don't you?
Brandon Gill
Oh, you see it everywhere. And I think it's because it's been very intentional. We had a hearing a couple days ago with the Smithsonian Institution.
Adam Carolla
Oh, the Smithsonian, Yes.
Brandon Gill
You know, the left has made a very intentional, what they have explicitly called the long march through the institutions. And it has been a multi decade process of taking over every institution. And in civil society. You see it of course in the media, but you're also, and you see it of course in academia, but you also see it now increasingly in the business world and other parts of American society. Whenever we question the Smithsonian Institution, which really over the past five to 10 years has been thoroughly taken over by the left, where you have exhibits all over that are just infused with Marxist ideology pretty explicitly, it is shocking the kind of answers that you get from these people. You know, I think most of us believe that history, you know, the Smithsonian Museum of American History should be portrayed in an objective way. You know, that there shouldn't be an ideological lens through which we look at American history, but it should be pretty objective. Well, according to the Smithsonian's own anti racist toolkit, objectivity is part and parcel of a white supremacist culture. I mean this is the kind of just rot and nonsense that they've been putting out.
Adam Carolla
Agreed.
Brandon Gill
But, but you know, whenever you get to that point, it's. I think normal people outside of Washington, outside of these left wing circles are genuinely shocked by the kind of stuff that politeness is white supremacy. That's something that the Smithsonian had been teaching. Whenever you go into the museum and you see exhibits that are open to children of men wearing very explicit looking bondage gear, the museum promoting illegal aliens, voting in American elections and swaying American elections while downplaying the role of our founding fathers in American history, I think most people just intuitively recognize something is way off here.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, the thing that's funny about it is every time they get in front of you, then they just deny I didn't know about that or they started that before I showed up. It's like, well, this is on your website. Just own it. So the fact that they run away from their own ideas means they know people don't like their ideas. They're trying to sneak them in the back door of America. But again, if you said to me, if I got hauled in front of you and you said, adam, you tweeted about hating left turn arrows and you tweeted about hating people driving under the speed limit, I'd go, yeah, that's right, I did. I stand by. Ask me another question about it. I'll talk about for half an hour. That's how much I stand by that I wouldn't go, you know what? That was a different time. I was in a different head space. I would just go, yeah, that's what's on our website. That's what we believe. Even they must know it sounds kooky because they try to distance themselves from it all the time.
Brandon Gill
Oh, of course. I think that oftentimes they're put in the position of, you know, if I am put on the spot and asked to defend something that I've said in the past, some liberal having to defend something they've said. Let's just say men can get pregnant. To use an example, they know either they can stick with that view in the committee hearing and say, yes, I believe men can get pregnant and everybody thinks they sound insane, or they can say, no, I don't think that men can get pregnant. And then their base gets really angry at them. So you have these. They realize that they're kind of stuck between a rock and a hard place. But the problem is that these are oftentimes views that have been shoved down the American people's throats. And the Smithsonian Institution is a good example of that. And we've had hearings with all kinds of different NGOs, taxpayer funded groups that basically will present views like everybody is racist. Everybody. You know, we had a hearing just yesterday with the American Bar association, whose stated view on their website is that everybody has implicit bias. So I just asked the president of the American Bar association if it is your view that everybody has implicit bias. Against which groups do you hold implicit bias? I mean, why don't you, you know, why don't you elucidate that? Like, tell me about it. And once you, once they get under just the slightest scrutiny, you see them just completely crumble because there is no way to justify this stuff.
Adam Carolla
Is it just me or does it seem like these organizations are predominantly headed by women? Because when I watch these hearings. It seems like tons of women are running these things, which is part of being progressive, I guess. But is that a coincidence or does it seem like it's the lion share of the people coming before you?
Brandon Gill
You know, we saw that with the American Bar Association. That was also true of the Smithsonian Institution. I don't know if that's a broader pattern or not, but it sure has been, at least this week.
Adam Carolla
Well, yeah, I noticed it when they brought the heads, the presidents from the colleges, the Ivy League schools a couple years ago. It was all women. Like, they didn't say, get me the highest ranking woman from Harvard. They just went, bring the presidents.
Passenger Woman
And.
Adam Carolla
And it was all women. Which I guess is part of being progressive. But. Sorry, you were going to say.
Brandon Gill
Well, no, what we were asking the head of the American Bar association yesterday was about them explicitly promoting dei, which in practice means racial quotas or gender quotas. So, I mean, looking at the world through the lens of sexuality or gender or race, I mean, that is a core part of the left wing and Democrat Party worldview.
Adam Carolla
Now, Megan Rapinoe has been making some news, talking about. Speaking about gender ideology and talking about women in sports. The favorite thing the left likes to do is they start an issue and then they wanna know, what's the big deal? And then the answer is, it's not a big deal, but you started this thing and now are responding to this thing that you started. And then the left wants to know why we care so much about this thing they started. And the answer is, we didn't wanna care about it. We wanted to get on with our damn lives, but you wouldn't let us. All right, here's super angry at this country. Megan Rapinoe.
Female Commentator
Let's just, like, pull back a little. At first it was like, well, nobody likes women's sports and nobody wants to watch it. Or there was abuse happening and nobody seemed to care. Now all of a sudden, we're gonna use a vulnerable group of people in the trans community to be like, oh, well, we're just protecting women's sports and we care so much about it when the Heritage foundation is now going to go after Title ix. So is it about reproductive rights or is it about just women's rights in general? We're seeing the rollback of Roe v. Wade. Marriage equality, I feel like, is getting put back on the table. That was settled law. And so all of these things, like, yes, they're going after trans people in sports and they're using this as a wedge issue because we Love sports. And, you know, we don't want our little girls to be unsafe in sports. And it's like, unsafe from who? But. Okay, but now we're using this as, like, an overarching thing when really we're attacking women. We're saying, if you look like this as a woman, you can play. If you look like this as a woman. There's a bill in Washington happening right now that's gonna require all girls just, like, full stop to go through a sex. An invasive. Like examining their genitals to see if they're a woman.
Nick Shirley
Yeah.
Female Commentator
And that has not worked out well historically for people to do that. Yeah, we know what that means. Black girls are gonna get questioned more, and they're gonna get questioned first. Who's doing the examination?
Adam Carolla
Who wants to subject themselves? All right, we get it. I don't know if you have thoughts about that, Mr. Gill. It's always by the way. They fold race into everything. There's nothing they can't do with race. It's basically what happened with Mexican food and sour cream. There's just nothing we can't add sour cream to. Now it didn't exist. Now it's on everything. They just fold race into everything.
Brandon Gill
They fold race into everything, and they make everything far more complicated and convoluted than it really is. You hear talking about, we want to make sure that, you know, Republicans are trying to combat abortion and marriage equality and make it all kinds of different issues are all wound up in the trans issue. The reality is, I just want to make sure that my daughter can play high school basketball without being getting beat up on the basketball court by some guy who thinks he's a woman. Like, that's the issue right here. We want to make sure that girls can compete in sports on a level playing field and aren't being physically or emotionally harmed. I want to make sure that there are not men in my daughter's locker room whenever she goes to the local ymca. That's the issue. It really isn't that complicated. But the only way the left can win is to just obfuscate these things. I mean, again, most Americans look at this and they say, yes, of course, men shouldn't be playing in girls sports. Like, that's just obviously not fair. You can go through all the science of it. Men and women have different bone densities and on average, are different heights and have different muscle structures and all kinds of things. All that is true. But those are things that we just kind of intuitively understand. We intuitively understand that there's something unfair about this. And that's why I think the left is so ideologically. Has to be so ideologically latched to this idea of gender bender, whatever, in order to maintain these views, because it's just so contrary to everything that you see in everyday life.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, I mean, it may just be part of an overarching. Let's just confuse everybody all the time. It's a sort of a, you know, you saying them saying up is down and down is up, and left is right and right is left. Like it's a full scrambling. Like it's almost an attempt. I felt that's what pronouns were. So it's always trying to get you off the balance. You say something, you go, sir, miss. And they go, no, no, no, that's not right. And now you're arguing about something else. It seems like a constant sort of gaslighting where nothing is accepted. Even a man is a man and a woman is a woman is the most basic biological imperative that we have on this planet through the history of this planet. And if we can't agree on that, then everything is on the table.
Brandon Gill
Exactly. They know that if you can't agree on a certain basic set of facts and principles or the basic reality of the world, then it's really difficult to even have a conversation about how the world should operate. You know, sports are a good example if you can't just agree on the basics, that there are men and there are women, and there aren't 10,000 other genders, and you can't. And men can't become women, and women can't just magically become men if you can't agree on that basic principle. It's very hard to have a discussion about what spirit sport should look like, because you're just kind of talking past each other. But I do think also at a certain level, the left doesn't even know what they're saying.
Adam Carolla
True.
Brandon Gill
We had a hearing. It's probably a year ago now, and it was 23andMe, the genetics company came in and very woke company. They had been posting on their social media that their all kinds of different genders. You know, zim, X and X were also, you know, genders, and they were saying, you know, you need to use the right gender whenever you're talking to people, otherwise it increases the risk of suicide amongst transgender people. So I just asked the CEO, whenever she came in and testified, can you just tell me, what does Z mean as a pronoun? What does X mean? Like, you're telling me that I have to Use these pronouns. Otherwise, I'm actually, I'm influencing the suicide rate in the United States. That's a really severe claim to make. Like, why don't you tell me about this? And they couldn't do it.
Adam Carolla
No.
Brandon Gill
And, you know, do they actually believe that any of this stuff is necessary? I don't know. Or do they just not even understand what they're saying?
Adam Carolla
I don't think they actually believe it because every single one of them is, like, pro Palestine and hates the United States, but no one would set foot in Palestine. And certainly the queers for Palestine never arrange a cruise to Palestine, So they never leave. And no, they don't believe it. And all they do is get tripped up. They go, the lgptbfd. What the. They don't know. They don't care. Which is kind of the interesting part. Like, do you really think Latinx is a word or. Latinx, they have no hobbies is really what it comes down to. I don't know anyone who wrenches on cars on the weekends that buys into any of this crap. Brandon, I know we're short on time, so one last quickie for you, which is the Muslim situation. I've heard you speak out about that, about this subject. I'm with you 100% on it. I don't like where we're going here. Any thoughts on that?
Brandon Gill
Yeah, you know, this is. I represent a district just north of dfw, and this is one of the biggest issues in my district and in the surrounding area. You know, my view on this is that you have to start with certain core basic principles, first principles, which are that not all cultures are equal. They don't all have equal understandings of human dignity. They don't all create the same level of prosperity. And not all cultures are equally compatible with America's governing system. I think it's very clear that Islam as a political ideology does not comport with America's governing structure. I mean, we have Islam, political Islam and Western values or American values have radically different conceptions of things like freedom of speech. You can see blasphemy laws in the Islamic world is a good example of that. We have radically different conceptions of freedom of religion. An example that is apostasy laws in the Islamic world. We have radically different conceptions of the role and dignity of women in public life. You know, in America, we don't expect women to walk around, and we shouldn't expect women to walk around wearing burqas. We allow women to drive in America. Like, we allow women to have every right that any man has in the United States. That is the way we view men and women here. That is not the way the Islamic world does. And as uncomfortable as that can be and maybe politically incorrect, that is reality. And I think that we ought to look at that in a realistic way. And I think that at core, our immigration system should reflect that reality and should reflect the reality that it just is not wise or prudent for us to import alien ideologies via our immigration system that don't line up with our own way of life, that in fact undermine our own way of life and undermine our own constitutional system.
Adam Carolla
I totally agree. Brandon, I'm gonna keep my eye on you because I really do think you're gonna be doing great things in the future. You're young, can't run for president yet, but one day I will see you in that Oval Office. I really do feel that way about you. So keep up the good work, Brandon.
Brandon Gill
Appreciate that. Thank you. Thanks for having me.
Adam Carolla

Hey, Adam, got a new word for you. Black vectation. It's a term used to describe the fake false affectations politicians and other white people use to be down with the cause and show solidarity with the black community, typically used by politicians such as Gavin Newsom, blackfectation. Get it on.
Dawson
You can leave us a message at 888-634-1744.
Adam Carolla
I like it. I'll add it to my black simile. And that's when you mistake Samuel L. Jackson for Denzel Washington and your white, you know, movie critic and then you embarrass yourself.
Andrew Hobson
I prefer the term black scent.
Adam Carolla
Black scent. That's good, too.
Andrew Hobson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Andrew Hobson
It's a little bit more succinct to the point.
Adam Carolla
It's weird that in 2026 we're still going through all of this all day, every day. It's one side that's doing it. And it seems like I would be embarrassed if I was like Jasmine Crockett and everything was just black, black, black, black, black, black. She's literally like a black bird. Black, black, black, black. And doesn't matter what subject you bring up. So black, black, black, black, black. I would be embarrassed if I were her. But.
Andrew Hobson
Well, you're going to be excited because according to a new poll, the Granite State primary poll that's run out of New Hampshire, the leading candidate for the 2028 presidential field is none other than Representative Alexandra Ocasio Cortez from New York.
Adam Carolla
She's the leading candidate on the Democrat side.
Andrew Hobson
That's correct.
Adam Carolla
But not overall.
Andrew Hobson
They didn't even specify that at this point. They're just figuring out the nominees. She is leading the field right now with 22%, narrowly ahead of Pete Buttigieg at 21% and Mark Kelly in third place with 9%.
Adam Carolla
Where's the Newsoms of the world?
Andrew Hobson
Where's Kamala Newsom has fallen off. He has fallen off. He dropped 15% in February to just 8% in July. So he's in fourth place. I think he's out of it. And then Kamala, his campaign manager, has
Adam Carolla
to get hold of him and go, listen, Gavin, you need to stop talking in front of a camera because every time you open your fucking mouth, you drop. And the polls, because you're semi retarded, so you look good, just pose for the camera, but don't talk because when you talk, you sound like a fucking sociopath retard. And Kamala Harris, you shouldn't talk either because that's another problem.
Andrew Hobson
Yeah, she fell 10%. She.
Adam Carolla
I thought she was leading like as of a couple days ago, but now It's.
Andrew Hobson
She's at 5% right now.
Adam Carolla
It's Ocasio Cortez.
Andrew Hobson
Yeah. And as for on the Republican side, Vance is slipping significantly and Rubio is surging, so tripling his support from 7% back in February to 26% now. So it's going to be, it's going to be interesting.
Adam Carolla
Rubio strikes me as insanely competent and Vance does as well, but Rubio is just sort of next level competency.
Andrew Hobson
Well, there are two guys I wouldn't want to debate. I would say that. And I also think too, they ran the gamut of having to debate Trump. I mean, I know Rubio. Did Vance ever have to debate Trump?
Adam Carolla
I don't know. I'm trying to think. I know Rubio, little Marco, they've kind
Andrew Hobson
of been in that cage fight and that's probably strengthened their skills. But anyway, I hope we're gonna. Hope we're excited for. Can we play that clip of the recent example of AOC's black sent. Oh, yeah.
Pluto TV Announcer
J.D.
Adam Carolla
vance has never. According to Wikipedia. Sorry. With the Internet. JD Vance has not debated Trump. And this is Cassio Cortez. Here we go.
Passenger Woman
We cannot afford to leave Tennessee behind. We cannot afford to leave Kentucky behind. Alabama behind, Mississippi behind, Georgia behind, South Carolina behind.
Adam Carolla
I do. Speaking of behind, she got a compliment on her rump or something once and got pissed off. So here's the thing. I have no idea what these people are talking about. Behind seat at the table, treated with dignity. They just talk and they talk and they talk, and then nothing ever happens. The reason nothing ever happens is because nothing can happen, because you have to do everything for yourself. So there's, like, a fundamental issue. Politicians are saying we can do everything for you, but they can't. Only you can do stuff for yourself here in the United States. And you put all your faith in politicians and nothing ever happens because they can't. Because there's a fundamental math issue, which is all they can kind of do is fill potholes and try to keep it a relatively safe environment where you can go to work. And that's about it. So then you wonder why they didn't do something for you. And the answer is, they can't. And even if they could, they don't care once you're done voting for them. But this notion that they can get a new crop of excited people that jump up and down behind them while they make the promises, that's the part that's vexing to me.
Andrew Hobson
No, they're not gonna figure out how to do anything until their priority becomes not making themselves appear authentic. And they have no idea how to do that. And that's why they resort to this.
Adam Carolla
Yes.
Andrew Hobson
Speaking of famous fake accents, this is. I think this is the best one.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, this is the best.
Passenger Woman
I come too far from where I
Adam Carolla
started from Nobody told me that the road would be easy now hold on, we got to set it up. A lot of people think that's Moms Mabley. That's Hillary Clinton from 08. Hillary Clinton from 08 talking to a synagogue with Jewish. No, they're black. But she's in a black church. That's right. She's in a black church.
Andrew Hobson
This shit is so insulting.
Adam Carolla
Listen, black people, you should be wildly insulted by Democrats, constantly not thinking you can get id. Everything is. Everything's an attack on you. We want rep. You know what I want to do? We got to do a meme where there's a young black child that thinks they're going to get reparations. And then at some point, that meme just turns into someone who looks like Maxine Waters, and they're still waiting for their fucking reparations. You're not getting reparations. All right? Go fucking get to work. That's fine, but it ain't coming. Obama would have done something for you if someone was going to do something for you. He's not. He didn't. He doesn't care. He's in Martha's Vineyard right now hanging around with white guys.
Andrew Hobson
Yeah, the meme format, you're talking about is a Pawn Stars format where someone goes, I think I want, you know, to be able to buy a house, upward mobility. And they can. And they go. Best I can do is a fake accent.
Adam Carolla
Right.
Andrew Hobson
There you go.
Adam Carolla
Right. All right, what else you got?
Andrew Hobson
Moving on. And I want to hear your thoughts on this. Ford workers. A Ford worker was just fired for allegedly stealing $8 worth of Doritos and crackers. And he just wants his old job back. This is a Ford assembly worker who says he was fired after being wrongfully accused of stealing less than $8 worth of Doritos and Ritz crackers. He's now calling on his former employee to do what's right. This guy's name is Nick Nabozny. He is. He says, I have no hatred towards Ford Motor company or the United Auto Workers. I just want them to do what's rising.
Adam Carolla
I'll tell you what. I'm going to be at Laguna Seca racing a car in a few weeks. I'll tell you else is going to be there. Jim Farley, the guy who runs Ford, who's also Chris Farley's cousin, who also looks exactly the same as Chris Farley. He's going to be racing his Ford powered AC Shelby Cobra. You got to drive a Ford product. So he'll be there and we'll talk at some point and I'll see if I can get this Caddis job back. You know what I mean?
Andrew Hobson
We'll see what we can do. I'm not gonna lie. I kind of. I read the article. I'm on this guy's side because he didn't steal it, per se.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Andrew Hobson
What happened was he grabbed the. He's on the security cam footage. He grabbed the snacker or he grabbed the Ritz crackers and the Doritos. And then he, I think, tapped the atm, he tapped the little credit card machine and it timed out. It didn't work. It's like, have you ever used those parking meters in West Hollywood where you got to put the credit card in and it takes forever for it to.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, I tried. I tried use. I tried using one once in Long beach and I got foiled and I had to leave.
Andrew Hobson
So I think it's one of those situations.
Adam Carolla
Wait a minute. Wait a second. Tell you when I talk to Jim Farley, I'll bring some Doritos and then I'll just hand him a sack and I go, thanks, ace man. And we'll eat them. And I'll go.
Nick Shirley
I'll go.
Adam Carolla
Not too shabby.
Brandon Gill
Huh?
Adam Carolla
Love these things. And I go, yeah, man, they're hard to put down. That's how I'll get the conversation started, and then I'll talk to this guy. What's this guy's name? I think he's a paisan.
Andrew Hobson
Nick Nabozny. I don't know if that's N, A, B, O, Z, N, Y. I don't know if that's.
Adam Carolla
It could be Armoire. If he's Armo, I'm not going to bat for him.
Andrew Hobson
Come on.
Adam Carolla
If he's Italian, I'll go to bat for him.
Andrew Hobson
They're all good guys.
Adam Carolla
So he. How does this snack room work?
Andrew Hobson
It's like a. It's a automated system.
Adam Carolla
Slavic. I'm out. It's Poland. No, sorry. I thought he was a paisan. Yeah, it was an automated snack. Whatever.
Andrew Hobson
It was like an auto. There was nobody there to check out, so he tried to use the honor system or it's one of those situations, but it just. I think he thought he paid for it, and he didn't. And then he got a call saying, hey, man, I got bad news. You're terminated for stealing.
Adam Carolla
Does he have. See, my thing is, if you have 14 years at the plant with no incidents, then I'm going to look the other way. If you got a situation where you're constantly getting into trouble for things, then this is a third strike. Then I get it. Because people go to prison for 40 years for stealing a bag of Doritos, but it's only because they did a whole bunch of shit before that, and that's their third strike.
Andrew Hobson
It's literally. Yes. Yes. And then you have this situation, which seems like it's literally the plot of the movie the Last Detail with Randy Quaid, where he stole 40 bucks and got eight years in the. In the naval prison. I also think you, as a small business owner, it's tough to fire somebody.
Adam Carolla
Yeah.
Andrew Hobson
So when you see a situation and you see an out, you're like, ah, I gotta take it.
Adam Carolla
I tell you what, I don't mind. I don't mind providing snacks for you fellas here once in a while. Former employees pack themselves a little to go kit. You know, like, I'll just bring the cup of Noodles with me, and I'll just pack a little to go kit. And I'm like, it's not a to go while you're here working. You see what I'm saying?
Andrew Hobson
Yeah.
Adam Carolla
That being said, you're one of the most pernicious snackers here, so. But again, unless I See it leaving?
Andrew Hobson
No, no, no. I do my snacking in house.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, I know you're in house, snacker, but you're one of the most prolific in house snackers we have.
Andrew Hobson
That's me.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, that's why you get your own parking spot.
Andrew Hobson
That's true. Yeah.
Adam Carolla
Number one snacker. Now, I gotta know if this guy's got a history. Here's what I find with most people who get fired for nothing. You can't be employee of the month and get fired for nothing. People want to get rid of you.
Andrew Hobson
Yeah, that's what I'm saying.
Adam Carolla
He's doing a shitty job on the line. And by the way, those autoworker union guys are getting 50 bucks an hour for just grunt work, essentially. Well, listen, I'll bring it up to Jim Farley.
Andrew Hobson
Yeah, well, there you go.
Adam Carolla
Hey, there is a clip. Maybe I liked it and we didn't go over it, but maybe Chuck can figure it out. I liked it from this morning. It was a woman, heavyset, woman of color, and she was deciding that she needed to get off the plane before anyone else got off the plane. It's a great clip. And I know everyone thinks I'm nuts, but what they don't understand is I'm actually jealous. I'm jealous of a person. Like, I wish I felt good enough about myself to stand up in the middle of an airplane and yell at everyone to step aside because his highness was coming through. And her thing, which is even better, is she didn't even cry. She didn't say, I got a connecting flight and I'm gonna miss it. And there's no other connecting flight. She just said, I need to get to the front. And she got a guy who was 6 foot 4 and 300 pounds and from. I think he hailed originally from. I don't give a shitsville. She got the wrong huge body in front of her. Like, what she needed was a college educated, Birkenstock wearing, spindly white dude who would have went, I get it, you've been oppressed. Sorry, I know this is your land. He got a big, like, ex cop Irish guy.
Andrew Hobson
Yeah. She got Vincent d'. Onofrio.
Adam Carolla
She got Vincent d' Onofrio from Not Full Metal Jacket.
Andrew Hobson
No, from the movie.
Adam Carolla
Did with Vince Vaughn. The breakup.
Andrew Hobson
Yep.
Adam Carolla
He got husky, older Vincent d'. Onofrio. Good movie, by the way.
Andrew Hobson
Great movie.

All right, here we go. Play from the top.
Passenger Woman
Come on. Like what? What you like? We're all trying to get to the front, okay? And I'm. I'm trying to get where I'm trying to get right now. I'm not even talking. We all are, okay? You behind me for a reason. Shut the up and let me get to the front, sir. Let me.
Adam Carolla
The plane. The door. I paused. The door hasn't opened yet. The woman looks like she's 5 foot 3. She's arguing with the guy like a mountain, and he's blocking the aisle, and she's like, let me pass. I'm leaving. I'm going to the front. And everyone's just telling her, I don't get it. Just relax.
Andrew Hobson
Yeah, I like you're behind me for a reason. I like that. That's great.
Adam Carolla
All right, here we go.
Passenger Woman
I'm going. So nice. Can you please let me go in? Okay, I'm gonna ask you again. Hey. Hey. Leave him alone. Leave him alone.
Female Commentator
Not everybody.
Passenger Woman
I'm not talking to you. You behind me,
Adam Carolla
by the way. Can I just say something? You know what I say to people all the time? Things don't exist in a vacuum. So, for instance, we have democratic socialist Nithya Raman here, who's trying to be the mayor, right? And she sits down a town hall and she's angry at Toyota for making it easy to steal catalytic converters, right? And what I try to explain to people is, of course, that's a retarded thought, but it's not like it's isolated to catalytic converters. She brings her 10 cent head to every problem. And so she's gonna fuck everything up, Right?
Andrew Hobson
How you do little things is how you do everything.
Passenger Woman
Oh, yeah.
Adam Carolla
Or how you do one thing is how you do everything. This woman carries this around wherever she goes. She's 53 years old. It's not self. It's not contained to airports or airplanes. This is everywhere. All day, all the time. This is. You know, who's going to get the parking spot. This is we're out of Honey Ranch dipping sauce at the McDonald's. This is everywhere all the time. You just got to go through life this way because this is just getting off an airplane.
Andrew Hobson
Know your sauces, man.
Adam Carolla
All right, here we go.
Passenger Woman
Before this escalates to a whole nother level, can you please let me go in front of you? That's. That's not your problem. All I'm worried about. Okay. What if I move. What if I move you myself?
Adam Carolla
She's physically.
Passenger Woman
And don't use no such.
Andrew Hobson
Wait, hold on. Keep pausing.
Pluto TV Announcer
Why is.
Adam Carolla
Wait, what.
Andrew Hobson
Who's in front of Vincent d', Onofrio, though? Why is he not moving? Are people not moving? I can't see.
Adam Carolla
Doors have closed.
Andrew Hobson
Are they close?
Adam Carolla
Yeah. I told you at the beginning. Groundling not listening. The doors aren't even open yet. At some point, they did. The bigger question, who's in front of that dude and why is that dude holding a life size Chucky doll? Because there is a life size Chucky doll in this. There he is. What kind of flight is this?
Andrew Hobson
That's a therapy Chucky doll.
Adam Carolla
That's a travel Chucky service doll. Service doll. I travel with him. All right, Sorry. Keep it going.
Passenger Woman
Okay, what if I move. What if I move you myself? Sir, I'm trying to be respectful as I can.
Adam Carolla
You're going to get arrested if you
Brandon Gill
keep touching him like that.
Passenger Woman
I want me holding y', all thinking y' all going to come for me.
Adam Carolla
Not even open.
Passenger Woman
Okay, the door's not open yet.
Adam Carolla
She making a move. She's making a run.
Passenger Woman
It's not even open. You can't get anywhere, okay? And I want to be the first one that's up there. I feel like I. I deserve that. That's why everybody want to know. You deserve to go up there. We all need the same price for
Nick Shirley
these tickets to be on here.
Adam Carolla
That.
Pluto TV Announcer
All right.
Adam Carolla
That's the part where I'm. This is the jealous part where I just look at a stranger and go, why me? Because it's me. And I deserve it. I deserve everything. I want everyone on this plane to give me $5 right now. Right now. And if you got a sack of Fiesta Mix and you haven't finished it, give it. Hand that shit over right now. Yeah, because it's me.
Andrew Hobson
I'm inspired. I'm gonna. I'm start advocating for myself.
Dawson
I don't know about you guys, and I'm not hearing this on this video, but if I was on this plane, I would be laughing uncontrollably right now.
Adam Carolla
It is kind of funny. It is. It is pretty funny. Now there's great part because she. She just roll back 10 seconds.
Pluto TV Announcer
She does.
Adam Carolla
Because me. And at some point, she's going to declare herself like a black queen, which is awesome, too. I think there may be some laughter, though.
Andrew Hobson
But here we go.
Passenger Woman
The first one is up there. Because I feel like I deserve that. That's why what everybody want to know. You deserve to go up there. Why should I? Why shouldn't we all need the same
Nick Shirley
price for these tickets to be on here?
Passenger Woman
Okay. And. And. And we should all wait in line now it's like a black queen. That I am, and I want to be. Oh, sorry, man. You going to piss me off. Okay, well, you better act nice because. Okay.
Adam Carolla
Poor black guy up there. She said black queen.
Passenger Woman
We don't need that stuff on the screen. She can be a black queen. Still sitting back.
Adam Carolla
Oh, my gosh. Black guy's getting involved. Oh, man.
Passenger Woman
But the way you said it. I don't like it. I don't like it. So what I'm actually.
Adam Carolla
Listen, we're just traveling with our Chucky doll, trying to get to Portland, scare the out of my special needs niece with my giant Chucky doll. And now this. I got the black queen behind.
Andrew Hobson
I'm surprised. The captions on this they got. And I'm gonna tell the audience a lot about myself. They got the word finna right? What is. I don't even know what finna means.
Adam Carolla
Fixing two.
Dawson
I think it means gonna.
Andrew Hobson
I'm gonna.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, all right.
Andrew Hobson
I'm finn. But how do you use it?
Adam Carolla
It's you take. You go.
Pluto TV Announcer
You know what?
Adam Carolla
I'm finna to kick your ass.
Dawson
Finna is take out the T. It'd be I'm finna kick your ass.
Adam Carolla
I'm finna kick. But I think it's derivative of fixing. Maybe like, I'm fixing to kick your ass.
Dawson
Doesn't make any. But no one ever fucking says that. So how did that become a teenager's verbiage?
Adam Carolla
Yeah, no, no, no.
Dawson
15 year old kid says, I'm fixing to get some Taco Bell.
Andrew Hobson
Well, anyway, whatever this caption. Cut, Cap, cut. Whatever the app is they use on this, they did a great job. Also, kudos to the editor for the amazing insert shot. The African American gentleman looking back. That was masterful. That was some Pietro Scalia type editing.
Adam Carolla
All right, let's keep going though. The fuck that is.
Dawson
All right,
Nick Shirley
that's true.
Passenger Woman
Okay, okay. But the way you said it. I don't like it. I don't like it. So what I'm gonna ask you.
Brandon Gill
I was just trying to be nice, man.
Adam Carolla
Just trying to.
Female Commentator
Yeah.
Passenger Woman
Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Adam Carolla
Oh, hold on. You know, it's interesting. They took the ax from fixing and they got rid of it. But they put it at the end of ask.
Dawson
There you go.
Adam Carolla
They grabbed that X, they took it and they put it at ask. All right, so now she's gonna make her move. Cuz they opened the door at some point.
Passenger Woman
I'm tired of. I don't even know you. Why aren't you talking to me?
Adam Carolla
Cause you're all up in my space.
Passenger Woman
No, you're over there on the side where you should be. Stay on over there on the side.
Andrew Hobson
Oh, stay over there.
Passenger Woman
I better lose it. Oh, don't use that back. Don't use that back.
Female Commentator
I didn't mean it like that.
Passenger Woman
And it seem like all of y' all are trying to attack me on.
Pluto TV Announcer
Call security.
Passenger Woman
Call security for what? I didn't touch nothing. And delivering.
Nick Shirley
You're touching him.
Passenger Woman
I didn't touch you. Mind your business. That's your problem.
Adam Carolla
The door's open. Now she makes your move.
Andrew Hobson
All right, fine.
Adam Carolla
Where do you see this? These cat like reflexes. She's climbing over the seats. She's going over the top, man. So I can't stand flying with you.
Female Commentator
I'm scared.
Adam Carolla
She got the Chuck E. Cheese doll with her. All right, that's a great piece.
Andrew Hobson
Susan Sarandon popping out from behind. Vincent Onofrio going, the doors finally open.
Adam Carolla
Yeah. And we have one of the Olsen sisters. One of the Olsen twins is holding a giant Chucky doll there wearing cop sunglasses. It's a crazy. That's a crazy ass flight that would
Andrew Hobson
be impossible to block as like a filmmaker, you know, the crate is really well done.
Adam Carolla
You know, the great part is they have to, at some point they get picked. At some point she has to, she has to tell her tale of woe. Oh my God, no Twitter saying this is a fake skit. Let me ask you this. Why? If you're doing it. All right, let's just say, Andrew, you do a lot of fake skits.
Andrew Hobson
You know what? You know what, Adam? I think you gotta put some fucking respect on my name. Cause the whole time I was watching that, I was like, this is masterful. This is excellent. There's so many different elements.
Adam Carolla
Hold on.
Andrew Hobson
It was well cast.
Adam Carolla
Why? But. Okay, so let's just say you're doing this.
Andrew Hobson
We have important news stories to talk about.
Adam Carolla
Let's do it. But. But why? So when you're casting this, you go, we need somebody holding a Chucky doll.
Andrew Hobson
It's just part. It's a man. Listen. It's just.
Adam Carolla
They couldn't get a dog. I buy it.
Nick Shirley
They couldn't.
Andrew Hobson
They couldn't get a dog on short notice. So they'll go, all right, It'll be a therapy doll.
Adam Carolla
Now that this is real.
Andrew Hobson
This is. Oh, this is like.
Adam Carolla
Don't ruin it, Chuck. No, no.
Andrew Hobson
She's in another one.
Adam Carolla
She's in another video. Oh, my God, girl.
Brandon Gill
Don't touch me.
Passenger Woman
You need to wait. I'm not gonna listen. I got another plane. I gotta. I don't care. You're not.
Adam Carolla
You're not the boss of this plane.
Passenger Woman
You need to wait. Don't fucking tell me. I. No, you don't fucking tell me shit. Don't touch me. For one.
Pluto TV Announcer
Don't touch me.
Passenger Woman
I'm asking you nicely.
Dawson
This one's easy to tell it's a fake because there is no error conditioning running. And when the plane is still standing still, there is air running through the plane.
Andrew Hobson
Well, listen, you know, John Ford had to make Stagecoach so we can make the Searchers.
Adam Carolla
Whatever team it was, eventually it's gonna roll into some kind of porn genre. Then I'm watching. So basically, I hit her in the back. All right, so maybe she's a serial offender. All right, let's do the news.
Andrew Hobson
No, it was fake.
Adam Carolla
Where'd the Chucky doll come from again?
Andrew Hobson
The production coordinator fucked up and couldn in a rescue dog. So they're like, I guess it'll just be a dollar or something.
Adam Carolla
What's next? All right, well, I hope you're ready
Andrew Hobson
to break your silence on Covid, Adam,
Adam Carolla
because here we go.
Andrew Hobson
This is from the National Review. Scientists behind paper dismissing Covid lab leak privately lost confidence in findings, but maintained their public stance. Okay, so Senator Rand Paul's office just released private slack messages between the scientists who authored the proximal origin of SARS CoV2, a paper published in the March 2020 edition of Nature Medicine that would go on to be widely cited by journalists and public health officials, who roundly dismissed the idea that COVID 19, had emerged from a lab leak in Wuhan, China.
Adam Carolla
Yeah, of course it did. All you fucking idiots got duped. You do understand that now you got gaslit, you got lied to.
Andrew Hobson
It's almost as if.
Adam Carolla
And you got duped.
Andrew Hobson
It's almost as if they saw a
Adam Carolla
skit on Twitter where I never get duped. This guy's not. Where'd that Chucky doll come from? Where did the Chucky doll come from? Okay, I understand at some point I did see a boom mic dip into the shot. Yeah, but a lot of commercial airliners do record with that kind of equipment these days, so that's not on me.
Andrew Hobson
Okay. Well, anyway, in June 2020, one of the scientists behind the paper, evolutionary biologist and Scripps research professor Christian Andersen, suggested in private messages with his proximal origin co authors Andrew Rombot, Eddie Holmes, Bob Gary, and Ian Lipkin that he believed there was a 30% chance the virus came from a lab. A sharp departure from the conclusion presented in the paper which held that the lab leak was strictly implausible.
Adam Carolla
Okay, so what happened is Fauci didn't want anyone to know about the lab leak cuz he was doing gain of function. And then Trump said it came from a lab and that's all the media needed. Everyone with Trump derangement syndrome had to then just turn on Trump in the lab. The crazy part is we all became defenders of China. Our entire media in the United States became staunch defenders of China and the fucking military esque lab where they were doing gain of function and who unleashed us upon the world and didn't have any problem defending China. But if you said things like I said like we should open the schools and open the beaches, then the military, then, then the media turned its ire on citizens who suggested that masks didn't work. They had a. The media, the mainstream media in this country had a much bigger problem with Joe Rogan than they did with China, who created this and unleashed it upon the globe. They had a much bigger problem with Joe Rogan getting Covid and then beating it pretty quickly and saying he took a whole bunch of things, including Ivermectin. CNN had a much bigger problem with Joe Rogan than they did with communist China. That's a very interesting way to approach news.
Andrew Hobson
I have a funny anecdote. My father, who's a physician, prescribed Ivermectin.
Adam Carolla
Oh, really?
Andrew Hobson
Yeah. To a Young lady who had just gotten back from Mexico and had a parasite from drinking water.
Adam Carolla
Mm.
Andrew Hobson
So it's again, when people are like, well, it's just used on horses.
Adam Carolla
It's like, no, it's retarded that CNN would do that and Sanjay Gupta would do that. And Sanjay Gupta sounds like a fucking retarded quack. And basically he sounds like a person that has no integrity at all. Cuz he went in front of Joe Rogan, he ate shit for two hours, and then he went back on CNN and I think was Don Lemon or Anderson Cooper or whatever. And they had this retarded exchange where he went back to the friendly confines of cnn and they're like, yeah, but it still can be used on horses. Yeah, brushes can be used on horses. Brushes can be used on horses. It can be used on people. That can be used on dollies. You can use a brush. Yes, they have a brush. It works on a horse and then it works on a person. It doesn't mean it's a horse brush. It just means it can be used. And it's been given out millions of doses. I mean, it's utterly insane that they picked a fight with Ivermectin, but that's just how fucking batshit crazy they all were during COVID All right, sorry to force that cooked piece of video in the middle of your news.
Andrew Hobson
I got great stories that, I don't know, people aren't gonna hear them now.

Podcast: The Adam Carolla Show
Host: Adam Carolla
Guests: Nick Shirley (investigative video journalist), Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX), Andrew Hobson (news), others
Theme: Exposing governmental and NGO fraud, cultural and political shifts, and a look at the 2028 election landscape
This episode centers on Adam Carolla’s interviews with fraud-exposer Nick Shirley and emerging Republican Congressman Brandon Gill. The recurring theme is government waste, fraud, and the social/political dynamics that allow and defend it, especially in deep blue states. Lively banter covers media gaslighting, culture wars, and America’s polarized discourse, with the finale focusing on the 2028 presidential poll shakeup featuring AOC in the lead.

The tone remains irreverent, direct, and unfiltered throughout—true to Carolla’s brand—combining comic rants, cultural skepticism, and pragmatic conservatism. There is little patience for bureaucratic obfuscation or progressive ideology seen as untethered from results or common sense. Guests are candid, insightful, and often share Carolla’s exasperation with institutional failures and media groupthink.
