Anthropic has been in the news for all the right reasons lately. They are doing amazing things. Coming out with Claude Cowork, Claude Dispatch all kinds of really cool AI innovation. Because of that, their popularity is skyrocketing specifically with their paying consumers. So they're also making money because of this. Today we're going to get into all of that. But before we do, Jaden, why don't you tell them about our school community?
Jaden
Yeah. Every single week Jamie and I record a bonus piece of content that we post on our school community with over 250 members on there and we basically break down different tutorials, different things that we are working on personally. We share lots of different hacks, strategies, things that are basically growing our business with AI. This week we did an entire video all about Claude Cowork, how to use it, set it up all all of the skills that I'm using and the automations, how to make scheduled tasks so things like automatically posting on my LinkedIn for example, my strategy for that I share how I recreated and migrated three websites that used to be WordPress. I made them into like basically SEO Pro local websites how got them hosted for free and also how I didn't do anything other than just telling cloud cowork to like get the job done. We, we break down like crazy stuff the inside scoop on all the, all the interesting alpha. So if you want to check that out, it's $19 a month to join. You get all of those videos, a new video every single, every single week. I think it's the best value for, like, if you're going to spend any money on AI education, it's the best value of any course or community out there. Just, it's just the hacks, it's just the alpha. It's what's really working to grow and scale our businesses. Yeah. Using AI. So go check it out. Would love to have you as a member in the community. There's a lot of cool stuff. Okay. Talking about Anthropic, I mean, you just heard my, my plug there for the school community. What I've been doing. I have been going crazy on Anthropic as someone that has personally been using ChatGPT for the last three years as my, like, daily tool. I have not touched Chat GPT in this entire week since I got onto Claude Cowork. I don't think I ever will go back. But the other funny thing is I also haven't touched Anthropic's Claude Chatbot, like just their chat interface. I don't actually use the chat interface anymore because typically when I was talking to ChatGPT, I mean, unless I'm trying to use it, like instead of Google, typically when I'm trying to use it, it's like I'm trying to get a job done. I'm like, hey, help me, you know, like, write the description and the title for this podcast episode. Right. And then it does that and I copy and paste it well with Cloud Cowork, because it can take control of your computer and do all the copying and pasting and posting and publishing and planning itself. I just, I don't need, like, if I'm, if I'm working on a project, I don't need ChatGPT. I don't need Claude Chat anymore. I just tell Cowork, like, this is what I'm doing. Go and actually do it. And it does, like all the in between glue stuff for me. So I, I can see why this is skyrocketing in popularity and Claude is making a ton of money right now.
Jamie
Yeah. So according to the reports, you know, in the past six months they've gone from, you know, each month they had, you know, around 6,000 new users up to 18,000 new years. I feel like they might be missing a zero here. Have you seen these charts on this article, Jaden? I think it doesn't seem correct to me. I thought they had way more users than that, but either way, you know, I think there's lots of reasons they're skyrocketing. Like you said, maybe that's like millions
Jaden
like 60 million maybe.
Jamie
Yeah, I feel like they're missing a few zeros there, but either way, you know, I found OpenAI and I'm not going to throw too much shade at ChatGPT here, but I have really not liked their responses or models for at least a month or six weeks now. I feel like they're kind of continuing to like, engagement baiting me. They're trying to keep me on the app, but they're not really, like, I don't know, it's just it, it always is. It's too agreeable, you know, it doesn't tell you the straight facts or Claude remembers everything about you. It has very insightful results. And I just think overall, even just the chat interface, I'm much happier with now, which is crazy to see that swing.
Jaden
So, yeah, as far as like, just the model being more honest, I actually think it's really funny what you mentioned, first of all, like, the engagement baiting. Yeah, like, what's up with ChatGPT being like, I'd ask it to do something for me. It's like, okay, I wrote this, now do you want me to write it even better. Like, it's a super tight thing for like a founder trying to communicate. I'm like, yes, that's what I asked you from the beginning. Like, why don't you just do that the first time? And then I'm like, yeah, do that. And it does. And it's like, now do you want to make like a short snippet version where it's more like, better for like. I'm like, yes. Why do you keep asking me to like, you know, refine it? Like, just do the whole thing perfect from the first shot. And that's what Claude, I have felt like, does. I was actually having a funny conversation recently with a friend who is, he is single and he's dating and people and it was, it's, it's funny. I mean, I've been married for like, almost, almost over nine years now. So, you know, it's, it's always funny for me, like being in this world or talking to people in the world. But like, he's like, yeah, like, I'm, I really like this girl. And like, I've been on a bunch of dates with her and like, I'm trying to figure things out. And so I actually went and like, created a Claude. Every text message I've ever sent with her and had with her, like, I put it into Claude and, and like, like whenever, like, I need relationship advice, like, I always ask like, Claude and I'm like, okay, that's funny. I actually don't really know much about this whole thing, so I'm curious, like, how much of the world is doing something similar to that at this point. But he's like, yeah. And then I also did it to the same thing to Gemini and to chatgpt. He'll ask it like, advice. He's like, hey, should I do this or does that seem like too weird or should I say this? And he's like, chatgpt and Gemini are always like, yeah, that sounds amazing. Like you should say that, that's a great idea. And he's like, I got a 5050 on Claude being like, that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. If you want, go ahead and say that and come crawling back to me when it fails miserably. So anyways, I feel like Claude, they're trying to make it not agreeable if it, if it really doesn't think it's a good idea. And I think that's kind of hilarious.
Jamie
Yeah, well, I mean, you know, plus I feel like the big thing with Claude is that now with Cowork, people are able to actually have their work being automated by the computer. So I think it's moving forward, people are going to see the value. Even if you're not an entrepreneur, a developer, there's a lot of things you do, even like in an office setting that you could automate on a daily schedule and make your work just that much easier. So I think the functionality of Claude moving forward is going to be really hard to compete with from OpenAI, so a hundred percent.
Jaden
There's also something that's really interesting. If you look at like a chart of the weekly new subscribers on ChatGPT versus Claude, Claude is on an absolute growth trajectory right now and ChatGPT isn't necessarily dying, but they're not. And this is weekly new subscribers. But it feels like they're down from like a number of months ago to where they were at. I think they'd gained like 2 or maybe like 2 or 20 million. Again, these charts, they really need to fix the zeros on them. My point, regard, regardless of this chart, my point is that Claude is very good at leveling you up to the highest paying tier. I went very quickly from. And Jamie, I'm like telling, I'm like, I'm telling Jamie, like, dude, you gotta try like Claude, cowork. It's the greatest thing in the world. And I know it's a slippery slope because you start with $20 a month and you technically can use it very quickly. It's gonna be like, oh, you're out of credits, just wait another hour. And you're like, no, I just want to get this done. And they're like really high value tasks, like migrate my entire, you know, thousand page website from this thing to this thing and rebuild the whole thing. You're like, okay, well I would be paying someone a thousand dollars to do this. I'm going to pay a hundred bucks a month to like, you know, not get rate limited on this. And then you think of like 10 other things and then you very quickly move to the $200 share. Right now they have 20, $100 and $200. If they had a $400 tier, I know already my finger would be like hovering over the. Click the buy now button on that. It's so good. It can do so much. And, and so I think they have a really good flow where I barely know anybody that is paying for the $200 chatgpt or like almost no one. Where Claude, I think has a really good upsell, like if they can get the job done and they can get it done well, people are willing to pay for it because again, $200 a month when you're using it to do your job and it's like saving you, I mean, hours every single day. Like if, if I could genuinely save you three hours a day on what you did for your work, like, why would you not pay $200 a month for that? You know? And I think so. I think Claude has a good, a good upsell right now going on.
Jamie
Yeah. And I still wonder though, if this is primarily coders and people like that who are using it, or do you think, do you think like the average person has caught on now and are they like, if you work an insurance job at a computer all day, do you think that kind of person might be using Cloud Cowork or not? Not yet.
Jaden
I think they should. I don't think they are. I think if you're listening to this podcast, you're in a bubble where you are very on top of what's going on with AI or you want to be. You aspire to be. Use Claude Cowork. It will do everything for you. Make sure you give it permission to take control of your computer and take control of your Chrome browser and it can get the work done. Whatever you do, it can do the work. Not everyone is doing it for sure because it was like for developers, it was for coders. And I finally have found myself using Cloud code for the first time ever. And not because I'm like, oh, I figured out how to be a coder. I'm still not a coder. I use cloud code because I ask coworker which can take control of my computer screen and do stuff to set it all up for me. I'm like, set up my GitHub repo, put my website on there, clone it. I don't set up my server, I don't know any of these things. Cowork did them all. And then I'm like, okay, now when I talk to Claude Code, it like edits my website for me for super cheap and fast compared to like lovable, for example. So I think that there will also be a migration into Claude code by people that aren't developers like myself, because I know nothing about coding, but because Claude Cowork does and it can take control of your computer screen and do everything for you. You talk to cowork to do the doing and then Claude code, you can use it to, you know, run things and scale up websites and do all sorts of crazy stuff. So anyways, I think everyone should be doing it, not just coders. This is like, you don't need to know or do anything with coding. It can edit videos for you, like literally anything.
Jamie
Yeah, well, and if you are entrepreneurial minded like Jayden and I, you're going to want to. I think there's so many opportunities to get in early and make a ton of money using a tool like this. I have some, I have tons of ideas running around in my head and so I'm ready to jump in. I just need to need to pull the, pull the trigger. So thanks for shedding some light on that, Jaden.
