In this episode I discuss sacred routines, rituals of strength, and advice on how I’m curating a sustainable plan for working out.

This will be a series of what I learned each week of a 10 week DBT (dialectical behavior therapy) skills group that I participated in. I’ve found these skills to be revolutionary in living a mindful and happy life. DBT has really helped me to learn how to tolerate distress, how to emotionally regulate my extreme emotions and how to communicate in life better. I think everyone should learn about DBT so I’m making a little series. Enjoy!

In todays episode I discuss how I actually successfully incorporated healthy habits and how I find balance with discipline/hard work and self compassion/rest when wanting to do so many things in life like learn a new language, dedicate to my YouTube channel/podcast, make art, play guitar, paint, run more, workout, meditate, journal, read, practice my hobbies like Muay Thai and Archery.. I could go on and on, and I’m sure there’s people out there who can relate to having so many goals, hobbies and habits they want to do but not knowing where to start. This episode is for you, my friend.

In today’s episode I will be discussing how I’ll be going from broke, nerd Spider-Man delivering pizza’s to a fit, sexy superhero that everybody knows and loves. I discuss therapy, living a healthy lifestyle and why I’m better than you (I’m kidding please don’t yell at me).

how to use your intuition | fear vs intuition | ego vs gut instinct | how to tell the difference How can we learn to trust our intuition more? One of the first key steps is understanding and reminding ourselves of the difference in our fearful thoughts and our intuitive thoughts. I spent many years having my intuition, my instinct, muffled by fearful thoughts. And I've finally come to a place in my life where I feel I can truly tell the difference between my intuition guiding me, and my anxiety. Welcome to my channel if you're new, I'm Alexis Anastasia James, and I make videos related to trauma, life and all things healing and wellness, Including the spiritual and witchy side ;) (and of course - science and evidenced based facts).
