The House of Representatives strongly rejected a measure by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene to effectively oust House Speaker Mike Johnson with a vote of 359-43-7. So for now Speaker Johnson's gavel & speakership are both effectively safe against threats from members of the majority party.
