Armstrong and Joe Getty. Armstrong and Getty. And now, here's Armstrong. Get ready. Live from Studio C. Si, senor.
Jack Armstrong
It's Friday, deep within the bowels of the Armstrong and Getty Communications compound. And hey, y', all, today we're under the tutelage of our general manager.
Joe Getty
You know, I'm sick of all the ugliness. I'm going with the next round of the NFL playoffs. Let's all watch some football with our friends and enjoy this incredible country. And then Monday, we'll get back to hating people who hate this incredible country.
Jack Armstrong
My favorite story of the day. Did you read the story? I think it was in the New York Times. The San Francisco 49ers, who we tend to root for around here because that's the team we live closest to.
Joe Getty
No, it's because they're the best human beings and the. The team whose principles most closely aligned with it has nothing to do with. Yeah, their local team.
Jack Armstrong
There may never have been statistically a team go this deep in the playoffs ever in the history of the NFL with this many of their star players hurt. That's legit, right? And it makes sense. I mean, like, like many of the best players on this football team are hurt, and yet the team has still made it to the final eight. There is a theory that the stadium and practice field where The San Francisco 49ers play, which is not in San Francisco at Santa Clara, it's a different town if you're not from the. From California. It's like a pretty long drive.
Joe Getty
Oh, in traffic it'll take hours. Yeah, it's a pretty long drive from.
Jack Armstrong
San Francisco to where the 49ers play. There is a power plant there. And this theory in the New York Times is there's some sort of emp, electronic magnetic pulse thing going on from the power plant. Nobody else has a power plant this close to their stadium and practice facility that's causing all the injuries for the San Francisco 49ers. You know, it's a. Washington Post.
Joe Getty
Washington Post. As a pretty hardcore Niners fan, I have found myself wonder, is it their conditioning? Is it their what? What is going on here? I mean, because it's absolutely extraordinary. I wonder.
Jack Armstrong
This guy that put forward the theory in the Washington Post says The San Francisco 49ers have been the most injured team in the NFL for a decade. I did not know that. You know, if you think about it, Brock Purdy, I mean, there's a lot of Been like. There's been a lot of. Anyway, how long is that house of horrors Levi's Stadium been up because of chronic EMF exposure? The alleged culprit and electric substation near the team Santa Clara, California practice facility. By the way, I'd also forgotten the super bowl is here in our backyard. Right at Santa Clara. In Santa Clara, here in several weeks. That's interesting. I don't know if I believe it or not. Oh, it does. Throw in the paragraph. This has been rejected by all experts. We've just talked to.
Joe Getty
Covering up for the.
Jack Armstrong
For Big electron.
Joe Getty
Yeah, the contrails, Hank.
Jack Armstrong
An injured NFL team, a power substation, and a theory that won't fade from the Washington Post.
Joe Getty
It's got to be something.
Jack Armstrong
Well, they got a map here showing the stadium. And there's the electric substation right there. I don't know if I believe this at all.
Joe Getty
Do the math. Do the math. It can't possibly be just a normal statistical variation. Wow.
Jack Armstrong
This theory has reached the players. 49ers wide receiver Kendrick Bourne said after the game and the rash of injuries, this most recent game where the 49ers lost yet another star player. It's that power plant, man. That's what he said.
Joe Getty
Born supremacy. Yeah, that's right. Wow, there it is.
Jack Armstrong
The theory is nonsense. According to a professor of epidemiology and public health at Bristol Medical School in England. Oh, we had to go all the way to England.
Joe Getty
Right.
Jack Armstrong
To find expert who would deny this being true.
Joe Getty
Who can we find that will speak in favor of this conspiracy? Well, you have to go to a foreign land. Exactly.
Jack Armstrong
I remember when I found out that the super bowl was right in my own backyard. I've never been to a Super Bowl. I threw out the idea of going, thought, I gotta go. It's so close. Because, you know, a lot of the cost of going to a Super bowl is the travel and the hotel rooms. And I don't have to do that. I just get up in the morning and drive to the game and drive home afterwards. But so many people who have been to super bowl said, don't bother. You will be so unimpressed and think, why did I do this? So.
Joe Getty
Huh.
Jack Armstrong
There you go.
Joe Getty
Well, you know, I still say that, that that's a story that's interesting.
Jack Armstrong
Yeah, yeah, I, I would agree. It would be on its face like, wow, it is so not like going to a regular football game.
Joe Getty
Right. Your purpose would be very different from theirs.
Jack Armstrong
That's a, that's a good point. Still, I wouldn't be going just to enjoy myself. I'm going as a reporter, as a journalist.
Joe Getty
Right, exactly. Although I think you probably ought to encase yourself entirely in aluminum foil to keep those, those death electrons off of you. You end up pulling a hammy on your way home. This man tore his hamstring just moving his foot from the gas pedal to the brake.
Jack Armstrong
That's a wacky theory. Or that was just. You know what that was. I thought yesterday, I thought, I gotta tell Katie and Hanson. Look for tangential NFL stories as we head into the NFL weekend. And that's what it is. It's a. Dan, you got nothing to report on yet, but you want. People are excited about the football. You need to have a story about football. So they came up with this one.
Joe Getty
That's a good one.
Jack Armstrong
The substations kind of fun. I want to throw out how I think we've completely lost the thread in Minneapolis on this whole story. But maybe after we start the show.
Joe Getty
Officially, and I would like to throw in that I this very day have seen something that is as disturbing as anything I've taken in in my career. Wow. Yeah, wow. Not bloody, not like horrible on its face, just disturbing.
Jack Armstrong
Stay with us. Nobody likes to be disturbed. I'm Jack Armstrong. He's Joe Getty on this. It is Friday, January 16, the year 2026, where Armstrong and getting. We approve of this program. Let's begin then.
Joe Getty
Officially, according to FCC rules and regulations, the show starts at mark.
Jack Armstrong
A new study is shedding light on the size and lifespan of the Tyrannosaurus rex. In the study published on Wednesday, researchers used polarized light to reveal previously unseen growth rings from 17 fossilized T. Rex leg bones. Scientists discovered that the dinosaurs did not reach their maximum size of around 8 tons until they were 35 to 40 years old.
Joe Getty
That means the animals lifespans were longer.
Jack Armstrong
Than the 30 years previously thought.
Joe Getty
That's about how old I was when I reached 8 tons too.
Jack Armstrong
My maximum size. Katie presented this as Scientists say T. Rexes live longer than you thought and My response was, I have formed no conclusions and never had even considered with an open mind. Yes, I'm going in with an open mind. It never considered how long a T. Rex probably lives.
Joe Getty
So I believe, Jack, correct me if I'm wrong, it was the great British thinker Samuel Johnson who once said, if you are tired of London, you are tired of life. Similarly, if I ever hear there's exciting new T. Rex news and I don't think, wow, cool.
Jack Armstrong
I wonder what it is.
Joe Getty
Yeah, I'm ready for the grave.
Jack Armstrong
Good, good point. My, my son, who is not interested in T. Rex news, My son will be interested. Yeah, definitely.
Joe Getty
Katie, is it a guy thing or what? Well, you brought us the story, so obviously you had some level of interest.
Jack Armstrong
I figured you guys would like it. So it's a good thing, you and your female friends, like God, guys with the Roman Empire and their Roman dinosaurs.
Joe Getty
T. Rex, World War II. Yep, exactly. Yeah. Yep.
Jack Armstrong
So predictable. Yeah. I do think we've lost the threat in Minneapolis based on a story heard on NPR driving to work today about the way these things are being portrayed. It's just off the rails. The couching of the whole thing is just completely out of whack. So I want to talk about that a little bit later.
Joe Getty
You know, why don't I just go ahead and pay it off? It won't take very long. The, the super crazy disturbing thing. I woke up this morning, I was checking headlines, as I always do, and the New York Times has a video feature in which they have put together all of the videos of the unfortunate car incident in the shooting in, in Minneapolis and from all the different angles and synchronized them millisecond by millisecond. And then a calm voiced commentator is describing what you're saying. And at every single moment that would tend to impugn the ice officer. The video is interpreted as being absolutely unambiguously revealing. And in every single moment where the behavior of Ms. Good or, you know, the situation in general would suggest that the guy was hit by the car and it was a dangerous situation, the guy would very seriously tell us. At this point, the video is unclear as to whether her. And it was, it was astonishing. As you watch the guy's body jerk backward once, twice as the different parts of the car hit him, the person says, quite seriously. And at this point it's unclear whether the vehicle has contacted the officer or whether he's just pushing himself backward as his feet are splayed out and he jerks upward a couple of times. Splay out your Feet and back. You way in back. You. So you're at a pretty severe angle, and then throw yourself up in the air. Show me exactly how that worked. I mean, it was. It was a human being watching something with me and taking such a wildly different interpretation of it based on the laws of physics.
Jack Armstrong
Well, I think.
Joe Getty
I thought, we can never have our minds meet.
Jack Armstrong
No, we can't. And as I said last week, the day after, and we did the whole Rorschach test thing, I think it's fascinating that our prior beliefs or the conclusions we want are so powerful that we see things differently now. Some people are just lying. But I think a lot, A lot. A lot of people honestly just see it differently because of what you want to be true.
Joe Getty
Yeah. Correct. Yeah, that's why. You know, in my defense, I've gone into this with an open mind. I don't want unjustified police shootings. The idea is disgusting to me as a lover of liberty. It was disturbing because I thought, again, there is no way you and I can ever come to a conclusion and move from there toward, I don't know, policy or whatever, because you are seeing a reality that I don't.
Jack Armstrong
Or vice versa, which I guess I have to be open to the idea that I'm not seeing it correctly because of what I want.
Joe Getty
I guess, yeah, I suppose so. Although I'm in a place where I wish the guy hadn't squeezed the trigger. And I could make the case a pretty good case why he shouldn't have. So I don't feel like I am prejudiced.
Jack Armstrong
But you think he should have anyway. You think he should have almost gone over backwards and hoped she didn't run over him.
Joe Getty
But I don't want to get into it right now. Number one, we don't have the time. And number two, that's not my point.
Jack Armstrong
I wish he hadn't shot her either, but when the situation actually arose, arose. But again, the overarching, overarching thread of what we're trying to accomplish here I think has been completely lost, at least based on listening to NPR this morning.
Joe Getty
Among others, which is intentional.
Jack Armstrong
Yeah, we got Katie's headlines on the way and lots of stuff. Stay here.
Joe Getty
Armstrong and Getty.

At David Sangers on CNN of the New York Times talking about why Trump decided to hold off on military strikes against ir. That's an Interesting topic. Or, or, or are we just getting everything lined up to strike Iran, which is still a possibility?
Joe Getty
Both would be a very trumpy thing to do. Yeah, I don't know. It's. I wish it would unfold more quickly as many, many people have died. But more on that to come. We've got a ton to get to today. As always, let's figure out who's reporting what. It's lead story with Katie Green. Katie.
Jack Armstrong
All right, starting with the major news networks. Spoke focusing on Minneapolis abc. Majority of Americans say ICE agents shooting of Renee Goode was unjustified and inappropriate. What's the number on that majority? Do you know?
Joe Getty
I just.
Jack Armstrong
Is it 80% or 55%?
Joe Getty
No, it's in the 50s. It's in the lowest 50s against, I think 37. Yeah, 37. Think it's justified. Is that right?
Jack Armstrong
Yeah, it's 53, 35, 12 with no opinion.
Sponsor Voice
Yeah.
Jack Armstrong
And imagine, imagine, imagine a world where it wasn't presented to you by 95% of media as an obvious murder. What the numbers would be, right? NBC, quote, it feels like an invasion. Minnesotans stunned as federal officers flood their state. And CNN nightly anti ICE protests after the killing of Renee Goode have been met with White House threats and authoritarian posturing. It feels like an invasion. That's a hell of a headline to have when for many, many neighborhoods and.
Joe Getty
Towns across America, it feels like an.
Jack Armstrong
Invasion that you got, you know, a third of your population just moved in from another country illegally.
Joe Getty
Yeah, no kidding.
Jack Armstrong
That feels like an invasion, too.
Joe Getty
Yeah. Yeah, we need to talk about that more. But getting back to the whole public opinion polling thing, it's even funnier than I realized when I read it because I'm always trying to make that point. Well, yeah, that's the number because the media is constantly harping and portraying it as one thing. But it's funny that they, they quite well, metaphorically have their thumbs on the scale good and hard and then report. Look at that. Turns out a duck weighs more than a bowling ball. You know, wait a minute, wait a minute. You spend all day pushing on the scale, then report. This is fascinating. Now, it's not.
Jack Armstrong
That's a good point.
Chelsea Handler
From the New York Times.
Jack Armstrong
Machado presents Trump with her Nobel Peace Prize medal. Yeah, that was something, huh? The Nobel Peace Prize winner goes to the White House and gives it to her, saying, you deserve this from freeing our country from this tyranny. Which is a heck of a thing. She said, I give this to you on behalf of the Venezuelan people.
Joe Getty
Yeah, except that they're not freed from tyranny. She was just kissing his ass because she's desperate for support.
Jack Armstrong
Working with Rachel Maddow.
Joe Getty
You're working with the realism.
Jack Armstrong
Wake up and smell the realism. From ESPN. Kyle Tucker and the Dodgers agree to 4 year 240 million dollar deal. Now none of you know who that guy is and we don't get to. It doesn't matter. The point is that the LA Dodgers, who have won back to back World Series, just spent a quarter of a billion dollars unlike one of their slightly weak areas of their team. And in a way that no other team, even the Yankees or Mets, can't match.
Joe Getty
He's.
Jack Armstrong
He'll make the second highest salary per year of any player ever behind only Shohei Otani. Because. Because it went to game seven in the World Series and that's too close. So we need to. We need to like spend. I always wondered why this hadn't happened yet. Why a bunch of rich people just didn't outspend everybody else. Like in a way that. And it finally it has happened. The Dodgers are it. From the Daily Star. Man trays CRO. Well, take two man trains crows to attack MAGA hats After saying there's no longer a moral option. There's no moral option. But for me to train my crows to attack people wearing red hats.
Joe Getty
That's reasonable to me.
Jack Armstrong
That's a funny thing to say. I was left with no option. Wow. From study finds reports of AI psychosis are on the rise. Yeah, I want to. I want to read that story. Send that story to me. I need to go deep on that. That is fascinating. It is so difficult to not anthropomorphize an AI when you're dealing with them. And finally, the Babylon Bee. Progressive researchers claim they are 15 to 20 years away from finding out what a woman is. Wow. Wow.

Announcer
It's clips of the week.
Jack Armstrong
I don't know what good the names of the abusers are going to do as the people of Iran are cowering inside their houses, as government thugs walk the streets with machine guns saying, don't come out again, having slaughtered the thousands already.
Joe Getty
Right.
Jack Armstrong
Made it clear that you can't win.
Joe Getty
It's not over. And we have many, many assets around Venezuela, and so it makes it tougher to put a real hurt on Iran. So I'm gonna wait to see what happens. But the way it looks as of this moment as a snapshot is because Trump said, come out into the streets, you know, take back your country, blah, blah, blah, help is on the way. And then now we've sanctioned a couple of their leaders. There's got to be more. There's got to be.
Jack Armstrong
You would assume so. Oh, another thing from the clips of the week that got my attention. We have dismissed the whole Epstein flap. Totally Interesting. On the way home yesterday, my Little Berg on I80, major interstate in America, on one of the overpasses, there were a whole bunch of people with their, you know, jumping up and down, shaking their hands, protests. It happens now and then. And the big sign was release the pedo files. Like pedo dash files. Like release the Epstein files. I thought, wow, a release the Epstein files protest in my town. That's interesting.
Chelsea Handler
Yeah.
Jack Armstrong
I'm not.
Joe Getty
I'm not 100% comfortable with you saying we've dismissed the whole thing completely because that doesn't describe me. I just don't think there's anything else that's going to come out.
Jack Armstrong
Well, I'll dismiss my. I'll describe myself that way. I'm dismissing it completely at this point. But Bill and Hillary Clinton were told they need to come speak under oath to Congress, and they said, now he ain't gonna show up. And Jonathan Turley wrote the other day, we have normalized this whole, I'm just not gonna do that thing, which didn't used to be an option. You weren't, you weren't allowed to not show up or make a statement of why you're not gonna show up and not show up. And everybody's like, I really wanted to talk to them. That's not the way the system's supposed to work, even if it is ridiculous. And I think it is ridiculous.
Joe Getty
Yeah, yeah. I, you could make the argument that these hearings are becoming partisan grandstandy events.
Jack Armstrong
True.
Joe Getty
And that, okay, I know the law, I'm going to flout the law, but.
Jack Armstrong
What'S the ruling going to be? Come to me, what's the ruling going to be on? What's a partisan grandstanding event for your own cable news channel? And what's a real hearing where we need to get down to brass tack?
Joe Getty
Well, that's my point, and I didn't make it very well. There are laws governing this. There are sanctions for ignoring subpoenas. Let it happen. And if they're not strong enough. So we routinely have people flouting subpoenas, well, then we probably ought to change the rules.
Jack Armstrong
So since I forgot that we had clips of the week, skip some of the introductory Minneapolis stuff we were gonna do. We'll do it a little bit later. But I just, I heard this on NPR this morning, and it made. They triggered me.
Joe Getty
Me.
Jack Armstrong
I think they like triggering me. And if you lean right at all, you get triggered by NPR every single day. But they, they've been opening with Minneapolis every day, just like. Well, every news source is for their own, whether you're Fox or your msnbc. You've got your own reason for leading with MSNBC every day. Look at the unrest in this country. Look at the people that are supporting illegals. Or look at the authoritarian Nazi. Trump. Trump, you know, depending on your point of view. But NPR had a story this morning talking about a mom and dad driving home from their son's high school basketball game when they encountered a protest that had blocked the road. The next thing they knew, they were surrounded by tear gas. Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, sympathetic tones. And the mom saying, I was just trying to get home after a long day in the basketball game so we could do homework. And what. So here's what the way I take that story. There shouldn't be violent, illegal protests that the cops need to put down with tear gas. Illegal being, you know, one of the key words here. That wasn't a justified legal, under our Constitution, protest. You were blocking off a major road in a city. It was legal. The local police there in Minneapolis said, you can't do that. And you need to go home. You started throwing things at the cops, so they started using tear gas to disperse it. The person getting caught up in the traffic is not a victim of Trump's Nazi Gestapo.
Joe Getty
Right, Right. That's actually a beautiful example of what the left always does. They pretend that nobody has any agency except the bad guys. Everything is something that happens to the victims, including in this case. They may take 10 deliberate steps to put themselves in the middle of a violent rally, but then when that 11th thing happens, they were completely blameless. They were victims. They had no agency. It's not the way life works.
Jack Armstrong
And the other big story of the last 72 hours, the reporting now is. And let me know if you come across anything that contradicts this. The it was already being reported that the guy that got pulled over that ended up getting shot in the leg was an illegal Venezuelan with a criminal record, part of a gang. So then he drives off his car, crashes into it, takes off on the run. ICE agent tries to apprehend him because.
Joe Getty
They have, they need to arrest the guy.
Jack Armstrong
That's something we do with law enforcement. And you.
Joe Getty
And you gotta do it.
Jack Armstrong
You can't just say, ah, dang, he ran away, or dang, he really doesn't want to be arrested or whatever. You have to arrest him. And then two more people that they now know to be illegals with criminal records come out of a house with a shovel and start beating the officer. You can only assume they would have have killed this officer if he hadn't pulled his gun and fired off a shot. And that's who you're protesting to protect illegals, People who are in the country illegal, who are criminals. You want them to not be arrested. Is that your stand? That's what I would like to get nailed down.
Joe Getty
Right.
Jack Armstrong
It's not just.
Joe Getty
Well, we're just against Gestapo, Nazi, fascist, Trump tactics.
Jack Armstrong
I'm against some of the tactics ICE has used also. And we can have a major national discussion about that. But I you on the record people of Minneapolis or politicians or whoever the hell cable news hosts are you in favor of illegals with criminal records getting away with beating cops when they tried to arrest them? Is that your stance? Because I got to believe that's like a 95 to 1 proposition for the country.
Joe Getty
Well, right, and certainly you're never going to hear this reported in the lefty media, including npr. But the, the good folks at DHS have said, hey look, y' all are off and everything and protesting. Here's a list of the people we Would love for you to turn over to us so we don't have to arrest them in the street or go to their home. And you've got people like Lenny Odemel Ramirez Santos, criminal legal alien from Honduras, charged with sex offenses against a child and driving under the influence. Here's Edwin Amable Aska Nana Suta from Ecuador. Luden Lascivious acts with a minor. Here's a child beater and domestic and child and woman beating person from Cameroon. Here's somebody who's committed negligent manslaughter with a vehicle driving under the influence. Here's a burglary, first degree robbery, larceny. Just scumbag after scumbag after scumbag. Who? Jacob Fry and company say, we won't cooperate with ICE because these are our neighbors, we're a sanctuary city. And then when they get arrested in the street and it turns a little bit ugly, that's ice's fault. You people need to grow up.
Jack Armstrong
Well, here's Tom Homan. This is short on that topic. Minneapolis, there's sanctuary city. You know, if they let us in their damn jail and stop being a sanctuary city, we could arrest the bad guy in the safety and security of a jail. But because they normally release them, now we gotta go in the community and find them, then they're mad we're in the community. Yeah. So who started this on the whole, well, you know, she wouldn't have had to protest if this person wasn't there. And Trump started it and you wouldn't have had the reaction of this. So it was started by Trump. No, Minneapolis, if you, you know, you just heard from Tom Holman, you're the sanctuary city where, you know, that guy over there is here illegally and is a criminal, sometimes a horrible criminal, and you won't allow cops to do anything about it. So then, as Holman said, see, you gotta go into the streets, you gotta go into their house or apartment complex over there where you've got all kinds of chances for ugliness to occur at that point, the easy ways to let him into the jails. And on that point, the whole Governor Walls and Mayor Fry have both said this week, we'll handle this. This is Minnesota's job or Minneapolis's job. You know, ice, go home, get the F out of our city or whatever. Byron York of the Washington examiner retweeted a famous pick. You might remember this from back in the day when there was a battle between the federal government and Arizona over illegal immigration. And you had all the people of Arizona, all the People, a lot of people in Arizona who wanted to, you know what? We're gonna go out and enforce federal immigration law because y' all won't. We're gonna start arresting people. We're gonna do with all these different things. And Barack Obama flew there and there's a famous picture of him there on the tarmac with the female governor of Arizona with her finger wagging in his face. And Barack Obama, the state had wanted to help enforce federal immigration law because they weren't doing it. Obama said no. The federal government has the sole authority to enforce or not enforce federal immigration law. And he won in court. The state is not allowed to get involved. Okay, now it's completely flipped in Minnesota. You're saying we'll do it or not do it. And the feds have no right to be here.
Joe Getty
Right, right. The really dedicated leftists would tell you, you know, off the record, record, look, we know we're wrong on the facts. We're just trying to rile people up to overthrow the system. Every time we get a chance to base it on, you know, ethnicity or sex or fascism or whatever, we just do it. We try to whip people up. Yeah, we, we know now the soft headed suburbanite lefties with fake degrees who are out in the streets and are being sacrificed, they don't know that that's what's happening. They get swept up, they get brainwashed.
Jack Armstrong
Well, there's more to say about this and more news of the day around that whole thing. It's still a crazy riot every night in Minne and much of the day probably will be this weekend. We got Mailbag on the way.

I wouldn't really want to argue with Ben Shapiro about anything if he disagreed with my take, unless I was gonna do a hell of a lot of research. Ben Shapiro is a good arguer. Anyway, he went on Gavin Newsom's podcast yesterday, the Governor of California, and I guess it was quite spicy. We're gonna play some of that now. Or two. Can't wait.

Let's get right into our freedom hating quote of the day, continuing our series from Dictators and Monsters, helping to understand how they think. This is from the great Genghis Khan. Like everybody else, I pronounced it Genghis until I heard historians say, no, it's Genghis. And that makes you sound fancier to say Genghis.
Jack Armstrong
I'm taking Genghis to the grave.
Joe Getty
Ah, you're a child. Anyway, he said, an action committed in anger is an action doomed to fail.
Jack Armstrong
Boy, that's. That's a good one. That's a good.
Joe Getty
I, I would disagree. I would say that's only true about 19 times out of 20.
Jack Armstrong
In my experience, sometimes you luckily say or do the right thing while angry. I think it's just a coincidence more than yes.
Joe Getty
Could not agree with you more, my friend. Mailbag.

I'm a strong Trump supporter, writes Mary, but I watched those videos over and over again. This gets to my describing the New York Times analyzing the videos and how discomforting it was because they were watching what I was watching and saw something completely different. Good. Did not hit the ICE officer. Her car merely brushed and knocked him.
Jack Armstrong
Out of the way. Wait a minute.
Joe Getty
It didn't hit him. It knocked him out of the way. What does that even mean? I give up. Moving along, solving the mystery of the $10. Regarding Joe's potato chips chip, Kate. Yeah, it's terrible. It was my darkest hour during hour three, last Wednesday's show titled Some Sort of Jelly Dog. 31 minutes in, Joe is refusing to reveal the name of the chips Kate. He complained she was pregnant and he shouldn't withhold the name from her. Joe said he would tell her privately. It would be their secret. And a few minutes later, when Jack mentioned the chips again, Joe said, Venmo me $10 and I'll email you the name. And that's why the enraged correspondent wrote us a snail mail letter and enclosed $10 from their Social Security that they live on. Sir or madam? That was intended to be ridiculous.
Jack Armstrong
It was a joke.
Joe Getty
It was a particularly silly joke. Good Lord.
Jack Armstrong
You weren't actually trying to enrich yourself.
Joe Getty
Oh my God. Of moments where you think I don't even know. What are we doing here? Let's see. Moving along. Oh, this is so good. We're going to save this email to next hour. Maybe segment number two. What is this? I like this. Guys. There is a discussion that ICE may not have the same hiring standards of local police that they may not be as good as policing. It's paraphrasing what we're talking about. Yeah, that's like saying Navy doctors are not as. As good good at covert operations as Navy SEALs. Ice is not trained to provide for the safety of a city and its residents and guests. They're trained to find illegals and arrest them. The police should be dealing with protesters who created unsafe situations that are breaking the law. You're at least half right, Tom and Windsor. That's fair criticism. They need to know how to deal with protesters and not get run over. But they do have a different job than peace officers. The standard sort.
Jack Armstrong
Fair. More to come. That was something when you said I've come across this thing you'd really, really like, but I'm not gonna tell you. Oh, that was a moment.
Joe Getty
Be quiet. Let's let it go. Let it go.
Chelsea Handler
Armstrong and Getty. I have some very exciting news. I am always looking for companies to support that are ethical. And let's be honest, the phone companies we've all been stuck with are not that. This is Chelsea Handler from Dear Chelsea. You know, I travel constantly and supposedly I have international free roaming on Verizon. Yet my phone bills are still 300, 400 and even $500 a month. It makes zero sense. So I switched to a company with actual ethics, Noble Mobile. And they pay you for staying off your phone. The more you unplug, the more money you save each month and the most you'll ever pay is 50 bucks. Unlimited coverage when I need, need it cash back when I don't. It was started by people I know and trust. So if you trust me and want to join my mission to stop being a phone addicted zombie, come along.
