In a market where used cars usually lose value by the mile, the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid is breaking all the rules, thanks to soaring gas prices, tight inventory, and relentless demand.
- Used RAV4 Hybrids are commanding premium prices, with some 2024 and 2025 models listed thousands above their original MSRP and even above brand-new 2026 models.
- Toyota’s transition to the all-hybrid sixth-generation RAV4 created a supply crunch, leaving dealers with less than five days of inventory and many customers on waiting lists.
- The RAV4 Hybrid’s combination of 40+ MPG, Toyota reliability, and strong resale value has created a perfect storm where late-model used examples retain 90%+ of their original value, and some appreciate.
- “If you're struggling to find a new RAV4 hybrid, you might pay more for any used one you can get your hands on,” said Kevin Roberts, director of economic and market intelligence at CarGurus.

Lithia & Driveway continues its march up corporate America’s leaderboard. The nation’s largest automotive retailer landed at No. 123 on the 2026 Fortune 500 list, extending a decade-long climb fueled by acquisitions, digital retail growth, and operational execution.
- Lithia & Driveway ranked No. 123 on the 2026 Fortune 500, maintaining its position as the highest-ranked automotive retailer in the country.
- Since debuting on the list in 2015 at No. 482, the company has climbed more than 350 spots through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.
- The company says its scale and diversified operating model position it to continue gaining market share despite ongoing industry volatility.

A familiar name in automotive retail is being recognized for impact far beyond the showroom. Rick Case Automotive Group CEO Rita Case has been named the 2026 Broward County Police Benevolent Association Humanitarian of the Year—the first woman to receive the honor.
- During the ceremony, she announced a $28,000 donation to The HOPE Fund, which provides support to law enforcement officers and their families during times of crisis.
- Case, the 2024 Time Dealer of the Year, also committed to funding a new $1,000 annual scholarship tied to the Sergeant Christopher Reyka Scholarship Award program.
- The recognition highlights decades of community involvement and support for charitable causes, first responders, and local families throughout South Florida.
