Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hours Golden Hour. Thanks so much for joining us. We are so excited to be back. And Kath, how are you today?
Podcast Host (Kath)
I am fabulous. I'm. I'm cold. It's, you know, January and it's 60.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Something and she's cold.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Okay, cold.
Podcast Host (Susan)
It's cold. It's cold.
Podcast Host (Kath)
It's cold. But today I can't. I just can't wait, so I gotta get right into it. We have a very, very special guest. Please welcome from the Bachelor. Truly, when people say who is your favorite? This person is one of my favorites. Katherine Lowe. Hi, Kathryn. And welcome to Golden Hour.
Advertisement Voice
Welcome.
Katherine Lowe
Hi. I'm good. Thank you for having me.
Podcast Host (Susan)
It was more than a minute ago, but we loved your season.
Podcast Host (Kath)
I can't believe it was 2013. I'm not joking. I, you know, long before I was on Golden Bachelor, I watched a lot of the seasons. But I'm not kidding, Katherine. Your season with Sean, like, I've. I'm embarrassed to say I've watched it more than once. You guys were spectacular.
Katherine Lowe
I just have to say thank you.
Advertisement Voice
We.
Katherine Lowe
We had a good time. We had a very good time. I just was hoping when I started that I wasn't gone the first night. That was my hope. I just, I know that on paper that was like a regular fear, but I was, you know, on paper, Shawn low and I do not make any sense, zero sense to get there. And once we just started rolling and I got to know him, he just was somebody who I really enjoyed being around. And I think they cast really nice girls for him. So it was a nice environment to have. Even though there's always drama, I still had a lot of fun with the girls.
Podcast Host (Kath)
So it was Wait, I have to ask. I can't let that one go. We've got a bunch of questions for you, Katherine. But why would you say on paper you guys were not a fit?
Katherine Lowe
Well, he is kind of like all Americana, you know, football guy from Texas. And I was like a hippie from Seattle who rode the bus and was vegan and like, so you just would not put us together. But he was like somebody who. I would have a poster.
Podcast Host (CVS Pharmacy - Dr. Jake Goodman)
Yeah.
Katherine Lowe
Right on my wall, you know, as like a dream guy.
Podcast Host (Susan)
So.
Katherine Lowe
So I kind of won. I saved up all my. All my coins. Oh, you're just best friends.
Podcast Host (Kath)
So wait, do you guys live in Texas? You live in Texas?
Katherine Lowe
Yes, we live in Dallas. Well, it's called University park, but it's Dallas.
Podcast Host (Kath)
I know where it is. It's. I. I live in Austin.
Katherine Lowe
Oh, okay. Perfect. Yeah. Very close.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Yeah.
Podcast Host (Susan)
And I was in Austin as the Seattle of Texas.
Katherine Lowe
Oh, that's where Sean was from. So he. Yeah, he went. So great. There's a lot of Texas connections.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Yes.
Katherine Lowe
Yeah.
Podcast Host (Kath)
So you guys have been married how long now, Catherine?
Katherine Lowe
Well, it's actually 12 years in a couple weeks.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Okay, so children.
Katherine Lowe
Three babies. Three children.
Podcast Host (Kath)
What would you say is the secret? I mean, we all know marriage is tough. What's your secret? Even though you are the perfect couple, I will say, what is your secret to making marriage? To making it last? Tell us your secret.
Katherine Lowe
Well, I would say it's twofold. One is commitment. You know, we might not like each other every day, but you love each other and that's kind of what you strive to remember. And usually the other person doesn't really want to hurt you. We just may see things differently. And so really committing to the idea that that's who you're going to be with and that's who you committed to. But also, like, we have so much fun and we genuinely are best friends. And so I would say, like, laugh together and have fun together, because that's what we do all the time. I mean, I looked so ugly this morning and I was doing the dishes and I was. But he was like joking with me and we literally just said, like, we're best friends. We genuinely enjoy being together and we spend so much time together because we really, we really do have fun and so nice. I don't know about you, Susan, but.
Podcast Host (Kath)
I want to cry.
Katherine Lowe
How we figured it out. At least now, you know, it's only been 12 years, so that's a long time.
Podcast Host (Susan)
And three kids. Yeah, I love it. And your daughter name. Her name is M. I Mia.
Katherine Lowe
Mia.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Mia. Okay, so I have a granddaughter, and it's Maya. And we spelled it the same exact way. So when I said, oh, she's got a Maya, they said, no, it's a Mia.
Podcast Host (Kath)
So have your kids watched the Bachelor? Catherine? Have any. Have you allowed your kids to watch the show?
Katherine Lowe
So they're 9, 7, and 5, so. Or 9, 7, 6. But they've seen clips. They've seen our wedding. They've seen, like, when my mom. Like, they did the hometown visit. So they saw people that they recognize, but they're really not interested. They don't.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Mom, you're so weird. Right?
Katherine Lowe
And, you know, Sean, Love's like. You know, there's very small moments where it's just us. He's like. Doesn't want to show them all the other girls.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Yeah.
Katherine Lowe
So we're. We're. We're shielding them for a little bit. But they've seen really special moments of our. Your boys would have questions, I think. They're so not. I mean, it's funny how uninterested they are.
Podcast Host (Kath)
They will. When they get older, they will. I saw your post about your daughter turning six. I saw your post about Maya turning six, and I just. I know the youngest one. I also had three children as. As to Susan, and it's just when that youngest one starts growing up, it's tough.
Podcast Host (Susan)
I know.
Podcast Host (Kath)
God.
Podcast Host (CVS Pharmacy - Dr. Jake Goodman)
All right.
Katherine Lowe
No, it's so. I know. It's like you just don't want them to.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Yeah.
Katherine Lowe
You don't want them to grow up. But you. I mean, I've cherished every season. I think this is probably our easiest season. And I don't, like. I kind of don't know what to do with my arms because I'm like. I'm not holding, I'm not feeding, I'm not changing. And they all three go to the same school. They have the same schedule, which is a dream. But it's also like, where. Where's my limb? I. I need my kids. So will you have any more?
Podcast Host (Susan)
Are you finished? Are you having babies?
Katherine Lowe
It's funny that you asked that. I think we're done. It's like 99.9. But recently with, you know, Jojo had a baby. Kayla Quinn had a baby. I have friends over here that have just had babies recently, and I've had baby fever probably for the last month and a half. But then you also look at your children and, like, the stage that we're in is so wonderful, and it's really easy, and I just get to have this rapport with My kids that it'd be hard to start over. But, you know, you never know. You never know.
Podcast Host (Kath)
It's funny. You have two boys and then your girl's your youngest, right?
Katherine Lowe
Yes, yes.
Podcast Host (Kath)
And that is me. I had two boys and then I had a girl. And when my daughter was 6, I think at same age, I really wanted another child, but I wanted a daughter. And so my husband said, listen, if you can underwrite another girl, let's do it. Otherwise. So that. That's why I only have three children. I couldn't underwrite another.
Katherine Lowe
I just think sisters are so special. I have two sisters. I'm very close to them. And so I feel like half of me is like, I'm so sorry I didn't give you a sister. But then I kind of get to fill that role with her. And it's such a cool friendship that I've developed with her. So I'm excited for those chapters of just having it be me and her and girls, trips like that. But, you know, a sister, I'm the same as you. I would love another daughter and my sons actually would love another sister. So I'm in a. I'm in a sticky spot. But I think I'm. I think I'm just content with where we are at.
Podcast Host (Susan)
I would advise, stay right where you are and then you have life again afterwards, you know?
Advertisement Voice
Yes.
Katherine Lowe
Yes.
Podcast Host (Susan)
There is so much we want to talk to you about. Besides your secret of making it last, what would you say? Do you date each other every week? Like, do you have a special night for just you, too? How do you keep your romance?
Katherine Lowe
Well, we. Honestly, we both work from home, and I know that that's a lot of couples too. We just make sure that we connect with each other all the time throughout the day. We don't have date nights. I would say most months we don't have date nights. It does kind of start to show the romance a little bit erode when you' not having that connection that's less playful and more romantic. So we are scheduling like, we're having a date night on Saturday because we've got. It's gone too long. But we just try to make those connections. I make him lunch, so I'll bring him lunch. And we have a moment there and just being able to see each other and check in with each other. I would say consistently what's worked for us. If you do work from home, make sure that you do have intentional moments with your partner. We also try to get the kids down early. And so we have that time. We love watching movies, we love watching shows. We have a very similar taste in that. So if we get the kids down at a, you know, 7:38, then we'll still have time for just us two to do what we enjoy doing.

Podcast Host (Kath)
I was doing a little snooping. I. I don't. I don't mean to sound weird, but honestly, I just think you. You two just epitomized what I think a wonderful marriage in love should be. And I was watching a video that you guys were talking about aging out of Bachelor, and someone thought that you were in the bracket of the Golden Bachelor Paradise. So I was on Golden Bachelor and I went to Paradise. I was laughing. I thought, catherine, you are a lot of things, but you are not. Let's just put it out there right now. You are not in the Golden Bachelor.
Katherine Lowe
I actually would prefer that category to paradise in terms of the old paradise where it was very, like, you know, mingling. So I'm happy to be in the category that you guys were in.
Podcast Host (Susan)
I do have a question for you. I read that you guys went to a marriage boot camp.
Katherine Lowe
Oh, my gosh. Yeah.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Tell me about that.
Katherine Lowe
So we did a show. I think it was, like. It was right before we had kids. So it must have been, like, a year into marriage. Okay, two years into marriage. But we were the only people on the cast that were even married. So it was kind of an interesting dynamic of people that were there, but it actually helped us because there was so much chaos with the other people. We actually got along with a lot of them, but because there was so much going on, we really, like, solidified our bond within the house. I think it was two weeks, and it was like Honey Boo Boo's mom and people from Basketball Wives and, like, Bad Girls Club. So we were. We were probably considered, like, snooty or, you know, like uppity or something. But we were just like, what is going on? This is not at all like, what.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Right.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Because it says marriage boot camp and nobody was married but you.
Katherine Lowe
Yeah, I know. Pretty much relationship boot camp. But there were certain, like, things that we did in terms of communication and how to do things, you know, obviously produced. But that was a very. That made us really have more discerning choices later.
Podcast Host (Susan)
So.
Podcast Host (Kath)
All right.
Podcast Host (Susan)
I wanted something out of it, really.
Podcast Host (Kath)
They got something. What. What is a habit, Catherine, that you guys. Well, first, let me ask you, are you. You said you're working. Are you still a graphic designer?
Katherine Lowe
I do some graphic design. That's not my trade, I would say. But I Do still have the programs, and I still help people out with graphic design and things like that. It's mostly recreational, but I'm now like, this year, I've kind of pivoted from doing, like, entrepreneurial things into more of this. This is the first time that I've ever done this because I started working when I was like 14, doing different jobs, but this is my first time, like my husband and his things and really helping us. You know, we've done furniture, and so we still are working on Home by Sean and Catherine Lowe, which has my name on it. More Fluff, which is a kind of an offshoot from that. So it's been more of a. Not assistance, but like a creative arm of the endeavors that he does the business side of. So we really do work together too, which is fun. But it's been more of like a domestic year, which is so bizarre for me because I am not good at housekeeping. I am not organized whatsoever. I'm like, who put me in this job? This is terrible. I'm not good at this. But I'm trying to do different facets of things. I'm learning different things. What I'm good at, what I'm not good at. It's all fun. It's all fun.
Podcast Host (Susan)
All right. I have. I have to ask a million dollar question, if you will.
Katherine Lowe
Yeah.
Podcast Host (Susan)
If your kids wanted to go on the Bachelor or Bachelorette when they're adults, how would you react to that?
Katherine Lowe
I would say it's fine. My husband says differently, but I'm like, if you set. I mean, obviously we all went on for different reasons, but. And there's not that many success stories, but it's fine. And if you carry yourself well, I think it's totally fine. I. Before I went on the show, I actually asked someone that I trusted in my industry because I was a graphic designer at Amazon, and I really did want to propel my career in that direction. I called him and I said, what. What do you think this would do? Because I am nervous, you know, I. I'm just going to look at it from all different angles, see if this is something that I do want to do, because I did want to take it seriously, because it does affect your reputation professionally and personally. And he said, don't do it. And really, you know, because it is something that could go wrong. Right. If you do something consistently where you don't show who you really are or you take direction, that isn't really something that you would do naturally and you aren't genuinely yourself. That could Hurt you, and then people could peg you as something that you're not. Well, I just think that if my kids stay true to themselves, they know who they are, that they're totally fine to go on there as an experience and something fun.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Why do you think Sean doesn't want that to happen?
Katherine Lowe
Because he just probably wants it more traditional. I mean, there's. There's a lot of risks, you know, being on TV and meeting someone like that. You know, there are. It opens yourself up to public scrutiny and just that life. So I think he's just like, you know, meet someone normal and. But I don't know. There's so many people that meet from reality tv, whether it's a bachelor or not. So I think that must be the normal way.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Thank you for saying that, Catherine. I still have hope now. I still have hope. You hear that, Susan? People? Me. Okay, well, here's one of my next questions for you. You, because you were talking about your children, what do you think people should know about their spouse or partner before having children?
Katherine Lowe
Oh, gosh. Well, you know, I think. I honestly think that having a pet really does show what type of parent they're going to be.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Really?
Katherine Lowe
Yeah, I do. Because it is caring for someone that's an extension of yourself, someone that you have to really think about, that you have to be responsible for. And so how they treat animals does, I think, show what they're going to be like to someone that they love. Right.
Advertisement Voice
A baby.
Katherine Lowe
Sean Lowe had two dogs when I met him, and he was. He really showed those qualities of being a leader, but fun and playful. He'll get down on the ground and takes such good care of those dogs. So I would say that is a good, Good way to see if that someone is a good person for you to have a baby with.
Podcast Host (Kath)
I have to tell you, that is so interesting, because what I tell is exactly the same thing, but it's not about pets. I say to women, look at how he treats his mother. That's what I say. I've never heard about pets before, but I think that's actually valid as well. That's kind of interesting. I'm going to hold on to that one.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Absolutely. Do you have any habits, you or Sean, that you both had to unlearn getting married?
Katherine Lowe
I am known. I would say that this is a creative thing. I'm just gonna say that because I'm marketing my downfalls. But I'm messy. I'm very messy. I'm the girl that has to try on a ton of different outfits and I just throw them all over the place.
Podcast Host (Susan)
You don't hang them back up?
Katherine Lowe
I do not hang them back up. I don't at all.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Let me just tell you, don't ever go to Susan's, Catherine. Ever.
Podcast Host (Susan)
She'd be right behind you.
Katherine Lowe
I know you're very clean, you're very tidy, but it's. That is a huge. That's been like a bugaboo on my husband's list. I've tried really hard. It's hard, though. You have. I mean, I'm very grateful. This is a blessing. But people send me things, right. There's a ton of boxes that come in and I am like, okay, well, if I get new stuff, I have to purge. But I never get to the purging part because I'm trying on new things and I'm like, oh, this is cool. And. And so anyways, mine is messiness 100%. I'm still working on it. It will be a lifelong struggle of mine. That's I will say. And what about trying to do that? I'm trying to change that habit because it is not good. He was not affectionate when we started.
Advertisement Voice
He.
Katherine Lowe
Oh, I'm surprised he wasn't. And so I was just like, I just want to hold your hand. And it turned into him really going out of his way because, you know, he didn't. He didn't date a ton before we met. He had long time partners, but years before. And so I think he was just kind of turned off to that affection part. And so I was like, can I. I just really would, like, hold your hand and be close and like that part. So I think he ended up trying to learn that habit. And now he's very affectionate, so.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Oh, that's surprising. I got is. I would never have guessed that.
Katherine Lowe
He is very warm. He is very warm. But I think just the, the touching, the physical touch in a girlfriend in public is. Was not something that he was used to.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Yeah, my husband too, but I wouldn't have thought that about some. So what's on the docket for you guys for this year? Obviously you're busy with business. What are your big plans for the year?
Katherine Lowe
Yeah, I would say my personal goals are like to create more systems and I think I just started reading Atomic Habits by James Clear because I really do want to get on a track where I'm successful in tons of different ways. And I kind of feel like I have a clean slate. Last year was probably my hardest year in recent memory, and so I'm.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Why? So why?
Katherine Lowe
Well, My dad passed away, and then, you know, the floods that happened in Texas. Well, I'm. I was very close to one of the little girls who passed, and so our community has really felt a huge loss.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Yeah, my kids went to school with one of the parents that lost their daughter.
Katherine Lowe
Yeah, the tentacles are deep with that tragedy. And so we've just. It's been a lot of mourning. It's been a lot of, like, detachment from certain organizations and friends and, like, not. Not anything negative. Just. It's just been very much, like, a clean slate this year. And so I'm really excited for relearning how to create successful, like. Like, me as a woman now. My kids are kind of taken care of. We don't have a nanny, so, like. But that's really important to me is to be really engaged with my kids. But this year seems super open, and so I just really want to get it right. I want to start systems that work for me, work for our family so that I don't let these really magical years of childhood, like, go away fast.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Because they do go fast.
Katherine Lowe
Yeah. And so I want to take advantage of these. Of these times and really be intentional on what this year looks like. So that's a huge one for me. Just starting, starting fresh and refocusing and then business endeavors and. Yeah, I mean, I just. I've been loving this chapter of our child, of our. Of our family. We just have so much fun to get fun together. We're all best friends. We really do enjoy each other's company. So just really relishing in that and being present in that.
Podcast Host (Susan)
You have a great head on your shoulders. I just love everything you're saying.

Hosted by Dr. Jake Goodman, this podcast brings you real conversations with CVS pharmacists, the health experts you see most answering the questions you wish you'd asked, like which medications might not mix well, what vaccines you should consider before a big trip, and even those questions you are too embarrassed to say out loud. Each episode busts myths, decodes health trends, and gives you practical, trustworthy advice straight from the people behind the counter. No white coats, no lectures. Just real talk, real answers, and maybe a few laughs. Listen to beyond the script on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

I'm fascinated that you guys both have thriving entrepreneurial minds and business and you have three kids and I had three kids and I know what it's like when they're in school and the activities. How the hell do you manage all of that without missing a beat? I mean it's. It's one thing to say we're all really close and we love spending time together and it's a whole nother thing to say we're doing that. Oh, and oh by the way, dad and I have full time jobs that take up up, you know, a lot of our day.
Katherine Lowe
Well, I honestly right now I've. Because all three of them are at the same school. I've taken like I have two chair positions in the pta. I'm also like a room mom, which is a huge commitment and because my husband is supportive of how much time I spend at the school. Because I really love these kids. I love not only obviously my children, but like the kids that go to school with them and who they see all the time, their teachers. I was over there today, just in the art room. But I think it's. I wake up today, I woke up before 5, which was abnormal, but I usually wake up at 5:30 and I try to figure out how to maximize the different things that I want to do. I do Bible study. I work out a little bit. I need to get better at that. But really it's just taking, taking inventory of what's important to you and focusing on that. I'm, I'm not a master at all. I'm again, like I'm saying I'm trying to relearn how I'm going to do this this year, but you know, Sean has an office upstairs. I work downstairs. And we just bounce ideas off of each other all the time. And it's, it's really fun. But I would say I'm really focusing on time blocking this year because if it is not on my calendar, it does not get done. And that, like, I don't want to be that type of person that's like every minute is mapped out. But it, it, I have to have a manager of my life and it's me, and I'm not good at it.
Podcast Host (Susan)
You and your calendar?
Katherine Lowe
My planner is going to be my manager.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Exactly. Exactly.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Wow. Well, can you tease us? I think she already is.
Katherine Lowe
Well, I mean, we are going on the cruise. We're doing the bachelor cruise.
Podcast Host (Susan)
We'll be there.
Katherine Lowe
We'll be there. That's so amazing. I'm, I'm really excited. People keep asking me about that. So that'll be in November.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Who will keep the children?
Katherine Lowe
I think they're coming. Oh, cool. And so my in laws are gonna come and we're best friends with Sean's parents. And so they're, we're all gonna come together and experience a little like family, family vacation. And then Sean and I get to, to be with everybody on the cruise. So. Yeah, I mean, I don't, I don't know. My. That's, that's it. It's really not that interesting over here. I'm just a suburban housewife. That's how I feel right now.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Because. How about your parents? That they're still. They're not in Texas.
Katherine Lowe
My, my mom is in Seattle. My dad passed away last year. He was in Mexico. My younger sister's in France. And My older sister's in Mexico, so we're all over the world. I think we're gonna do a reunion this year, which will be really nice because I really do miss them, but.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Do you speak other languages, Catherine?
Katherine Lowe
I can. I can understand Spanish. I'm better at listening than I am speaking. I can. I can get away with conversational. I started learning French because my whole. I was just thinking about this today, which is funny. My younger sister married a British guy in France, and their daughters speak French, and they speak French all the time. And so I was trying to learn French through Babel to kind of like have a continuation of that. And I. I went to France, I think it was two years ago, to be with my sister. And that's a hard language, that one.
Podcast Host (Susan)
I was just going to tell you, I'm finding it very difficult. I'm getting nowhere.
Katherine Lowe
Are you learning it?
Podcast Host (Susan)
I was trying.
Katherine Lowe
Oh, my God. I know. I'm like, wait a minute, guys. But I. I've tried, and you're talking.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Too multi language over here.
Podcast Host (Kath)
No, I'm not multi language, But. But French and Spanish are very similar languages.
Katherine Lowe
If you read it. If you read it. But then when you hear it, it's harder because, like, it's just. They melt it together.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Every. Every letter in Spanish is pronounced and not and everything.
Podcast Host (Susan)
French drop the letters, the last letter, and they roll one word into the other word.
Podcast Host (Kath)
It's like, whoa.
Katherine Lowe
Yes.
Podcast Host (Susan)
And when I'm trying to speak it, I say each word and they laugh at me. Oh, that's great.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Well, we. You are a fascinating person. We've got to ask you, Catherine. Do you have any questions for us? Because I could go on. I could be asking you.
Katherine Lowe
I could just listen. You know, I do have a question, actually. I. I have wanted, like, I just think it's so interesting to look at your life and wonder if you weren't the career that you ended up being, what would you be?
Podcast Host (Kath)
Well, I have. For me, I had several careers. I was. I was a teacher. I was a newspaper writer. But honestly, I can't answer what career, But I can tell you I so wish that I had lived in another country and raised my kids for a period of time with my husband in another country. I think that learning different languages and culture is so important. And I. And we never. When I first got married, we lived in Scotland. My husband was an officer in the Navy. But I was a child when I got married. But I would have loved to have lived in Spain or Portugal or France or something so that, you know, it's not too late to go do it, but that would be my thing, just to give my kids that experience.
Katherine Lowe
Yeah, I like that. That's a good one.
Podcast Host (Susan)
And I've done so many different careers, I couldn't pick one amongst the other. But I like going abroad as well. I would like to spend a little more time when I go instead of a two weeker, you know, maybe stay six weeks in different countries.
Katherine Lowe
I like that. I like that. What, what advice do you have for my chapter of life and what to look ahead to.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Keep your head on straight, focus on your family, which it sounds like you are doing. I think you're doing everything right. I love that you're still career oriented and you want to take off the book that you're reading. I'm very curious of what it is it's telling you do.
Katherine Lowe
It's really to create, not just focusing on the goal that you want. Because after, you know, I ran a half marathon last year, and right after I was. I did the marathon, I stopped running. And so more of like creating systems to have it be a lifestyle change based on what you're. Whatever you're thinking, like what. What you want in your life to create a system rather than just have a goal, because that kind of has an end date or something like that. So that's. That's kind of what it's saying to create like a sustainable lifestyle change in whatever you want for your life.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Because it doesn't sound like you need a lifestyle change by any means. You have a lot of lifestyle going on.
Podcast Host (Kath)
We all need reminders. I think, Katherine, my advice to you would be, which is going to sound, you know, hokey, but you again, having, having. I mean, it sounds so weird, but you and Sean truly are one of my favorites of all the couples. And. And in that vein, never. It's so easy, and I say this from personal experience. It's so easy to lose yourself in your career. It's so easy to lose yourself in your children and their activities. Don't ever forget the relationship you and Shawn have and really put emphasis on that because if you guys have that really strong bond that is going to ripple, that ripple effect will be felt by your children and that will make them grow stronger. And so keep those things important to you. And. And you'll be giving a gift that you didn't even know you were giving.
Katherine Lowe
I love that.
Podcast Host (Susan)
And do you realize how much you are admired and in the Bachelor world, like you guys are? Success. Sure, sure. Success. And still happy after all these years? And three beautiful children. Yeah.
Podcast Host (Kath)
You have perfect example. And your hair. One of my, one of these things this year was me not worrying about my hair because I have terrible hair. And this just torture. I'm sitting here looking at your gorgeous head of hair and I'm like, damn it. She's got a fabulous husband, three fabulous kids, a career, and she's got a gorgeous head of hair.
Katherine Lowe
We always do that, don't we?
Podcast Host (Susan)
Was it hard for you to move to Texas?
Katherine Lowe
It was, it was a very big change. You know, Seattle and Dallas could not be night and day.
Podcast Host (Kath)
You are so right.
Katherine Lowe
180. I'm like, what am I doing here? I do not have any identity.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Yeah.
Katherine Lowe
Like Austin. Austin is the Seattle of Texas.
Podcast Host (Kath)
That's right.
Katherine Lowe
I've met a lot of cool people in this neighborhood that are from Austin that I connect with very much. And I also. There's a lot of international people in our community. And so I've really, like, interestingly been connected with them. But it's been really a nice place to raise my family. I really enjoy especially our community where we can walk to school, walk to activities.
Podcast Host (Kath)
Yeah.
Katherine Lowe
I think there's like five kids on our block that are just in my oldest son's grade.
Podcast Host (Kath)
I know. Friends. And when we finish here, I've got to ask you, because I have friends in University Park. We're going to play that game. Yeah. Yeah.
Katherine Lowe
It's been, I mean, it's a really magical little. It's kind of like Pleasantville in the city. But I really do, like, the people are super kind in, in Texas. They, I, I, I've really been blessed to get to know people who just like, Very kind and that. I've been so jaded. I've lived here for probably now 13 years. I went somewhere else a couple months ago and I was like, what? Nobody even saying hi to me or I opened a door for a man and he didn't even acknowledge me. I was, I was like, wow, I'm really spoiled here.
Podcast Host (Susan)
So it's the truth.
Katherine Lowe
I'm okay with that. I'm okay with being spoiled here now.
Podcast Host (Susan)
Living there for nine years and I go back to Philly and they sound rude. We sound rude up here. I mean, everybody's so kind in Texas.
Podcast Host (Kath)
And I'm originally from Massachusetts, Catherine, and I've lived in Texas many years. And it's the same thing when I go back to Massachusetts. People are like, like, why are you talking to me? I don't know you.
Katherine Lowe
Why are you smiling? But I do, I love the east coast vibe. I love it. I've always really appreciated the art.
Podcast Host (Susan)
That hippie in you.

I just like directness. I think it's really. I love people who are direct.
Podcast Host (Kath)

Katherine Lowe
I do. I do. No question.
Podcast Host (Susan)
So let me ask you the. The new season, the Bachelorette with Taylor, Frankie. Are you gonna tune in?
Katherine Lowe
They are so smart. They just keep doing this. Yes, I have. I like, I don't underestimate the Bachelor. Like, the people that are in charge. This is a good one. I mean, whether you love her or not, this is something you're gonna want to watch. So I think people are gonna tune in. They always know how to refresh. It's insane what they do.
Podcast Host (Kath)
They're geniuses.
Podcast Host (CVS Pharmacy - Dr. Jake Goodman)
Yeah.
Podcast Host (Susan)
I'm ready for the energy.
