Luckily, Arm and Hammer Deep Clean is here to help. Arm Hammer Deep Clean is the powerful shortcut that forgives your own shortcuts. It's made for real life stinking stains. Because it's just laundry, you shouldn't stress over it. And now you don't have to. From the number one liquid detergent brand that tackles more loads than any other. Come clean with Arm and Hammer Deep Clean. Number one claim based on total wash loads sold. Hello, everyone. Welcome back to Bachelor Happy hour. We are back for part two with Hannah Brown. Let's get into it.
Becca Kufrin
Did you see? Well, I mean, looking back now, any relationships maybe that you think could have formed, but they were holding back because they didn't want to be viewed in a certain way?
Hannah Brown
Oh, my gosh. I'm trying to think. Yeah, I would just say multiple. There were so many times where people were so worried about, like, switching up who they were interested in. We're like, that's the show. Like, you got skin. Like, you know what you're signing up for. People need to go on dates with different people. Right? So. So it was so frustrating to me. It's like, if you're interested in this person, you're just gonna let them go after one day, do it right. And if the your man or your woman cannot handle that, like, this is probably not the show or the experience for you.
Rachel Lindsay
No. Me and Rachel were literally talking, like, a lot about this, and I feel like a big portion of that has to do with, like, obviously social media because we're just in a different time, but also, like, our franchises, like, fan base. It's like, I feel like Bachelor is almost held to a different standard than, like, because it's basically essentially the same, like, Premise as, like, Love island, but a little bit, you know, different things that we're not doing there. But, like, I feel like at Love island, they have, like, the freedom, it's almost expected of them to do that. But then here, where it's like, okay, yeah, put us all on the beach, and we're all going to, like, you know, date around and see if this works or not. It's like, how dare you do that? And so I feel like that on top of, like, oh, I don't want to, like, maybe get backlash for, say, for instance, this person who goes after someone who was a villain last season. It's like, that might make me look bad. So it's like all of these things that are intertwined, which I personally, like, I hate. I'm, like, right there with you. I think it ruins one experience, but also, like, that very well could be your person, and you have no idea. You're just going to, like, not do it. You know, it's very interesting.
Hannah Brown
Boring. No, literally, that you don't meet the person and then you're. Boring. Yeah. So you're. If you're so worried about what the fans are gonna think and you're having that in the back of your mind, well, then you're gonna have no fans.
Becca Kufrin
On that comment.
Hannah Brown
You don't. You could have met your person, and then you don't have that either. So. Yeah, I mean, like I said, I guess I'm more passionate about this than I thought, but I.
Rachel Lindsay
Because you're an icon, we all need to be taken.
Becca Kufrin
You were so yourself. You really were. And I think that's why you have been able to, like, car this incredible career because people know you. And I think now it's hard for me to watch the people on the screen and be like, oh, I really know who they are.
Hannah Brown
Yeah, yeah, yeah. So, I mean, maybe I don't. I don't know. Maybe we have to, like, I should. I just, like, go into casting now and just, like, shoot it to me. I don't really have to produce it. Like, you're so Hannah.
Becca Kufrin
Absolutely. Of Paradise.
Rachel Lindsay
Absolutely.
Hannah Brown
And I think, you know, I was actually talking to a. A former contestant on one of the shows recently and kind of talking about this. Like, oh, you're so iconic. You've done these things. Like. Yeah, well, I don't know. Like, take some notes. Like, don't try to be me. Like, try to be.
Rachel Lindsay
Yes.
Hannah Brown
And. And see where that goes. Like. Like, try to mimic me. You can't try, you know, Charity Rachel. Like, you have to Be fully you and be open to however that is received. Because the people who love you in real life, like, are going to tell you like that didn't look like you at all or that was right by that, you know, trigger of yours, like, well, I don't expect anything less like that listened to and then the rest will follow. And yeah, I just, I think. And I'm hopeful that people will start recognizing even if it is talking about like Love island or different shows. Like, those people put out a lot out there and a lot. And it's not, you know, my cup of tea. But like people are having something to say about the show and are exactly shits and. And feel invested. So we need more people who are going to sign up to. To do that as well for. For Bachelor, you know, Bachelor, Bachelorette, A Bachelor in Paradise. And if. If you're not gonna sign up for that, then like I said, it's maybe just not for you. But it's frustrating for sure when you're like, if you would just like stand up for yourself in this moment or just put yourself out there, like how much. How interesting that could be. And also like, what a. What an opportunity for you to see what else is out there and.
Rachel Lindsay
Exactly.
Hannah Brown
Yeah.
Rachel Lindsay
I'm just curious now because I'm like, with Hannah saying she needs to be in charge of casting. Fully agree and fully support. Who do you want to see on the beach next summer?
Hannah Brown
Well, you know, with recent events, I think it's hard to know who is available and who.
Rachel Lindsay
You know, I totally.
Hannah Brown
What's going to happen before then? Who are we looking at? I think it would be really fun to maybe. I'm trying to think of who's still available, but bring back some people if. If they'd be open to it from like a different time where you just like don't care and like take the experience to kind of show some of these newbies, like how it's done. I can't really think of names right now, but that's okay.
Becca Kufrin
What about. We have Bachelor 30 coming up and like you said, this is an unprecedented time. So they could pull an alumni. Is there anyone from seasons back, like a great guy that you think would be an amazing bachelor?
Hannah Brown
Let me think.
Becca Kufrin
Putting you in the spot.
Hannah Brown
I know I'm like, I don't want to like be like a man hater right now, but sometimes it's stuff.
Becca Kufrin
It is.
Rachel Lindsay
And you're not wrong.
Hannah Brown
Okay. So I live in Nashville and I recently, recently met Casey who is on our. Went through the experience
Becca Kufrin
allegedly
Hannah Brown
And I don't know how that season ends. I don't really know anything. But he is the most precious, sweet, gorgeous angel. I said that, like, he is so beautiful, first of all, and then so kind and like, actually seems like, genuinely, like, ready to find love. Like, he's not one of these, like, really hot guys who we can't. We've seen on these shows who, like, know they're hot and just say the right. And like, it's not like that. It's. It's like he kind of, like, doesn't know.
Rachel Lindsay
He doesn't know that he's. Yeah, exactly.
Hannah Brown
Has like, a real job and he's a mechanical engineer. Like, that's so cool. But then he, like, makes these, like, kind of nerdy but adorable like, like, objects. He actually gave me the sweetest gift.
Becca Kufrin
I was gonna say we have to talk about.
Rachel Lindsay
Wait. Yes, please share gift to you because
Becca Kufrin
I. I saw it and I. I was floored.
Hannah Brown
I literally couldn't believe it because he really, like, was so thoughtful and intentional. I'm like my husband. Why didn't you.
Rachel Lindsay
No. Literally every time I'm like, dying. Hello.
Hannah Brown
He made me these bookends. First. They were like, bookends for my books in this new chapter of life, but on them there was like, these magnetic little icons of, I guess, the iconic moments and things in my life. He made me, like the state of Alabama that says, like, Jesus still loves you on it with like, like, with the 15, like, in. In there for like season 15. All these. It so cute. Then he made me a podium. A little podium for my. My podium moment. He made a special forces backpack with Hannah Beast on it. And then he made me a mirror ball trophy. And if they're like, interchangeable.
Rachel Lindsay
No, I can't.
Becca Kufrin
I'm like, tearing up. No, I. I literally can't to be seen like that. Me and Charity call him like he was written by a woman. You're an author.
Hannah Brown
Do not. And he looks like. I'm like, okay, well, I guess I'm gonna have. I actually know where my next coming from. It's Casey. And he'll be on the COVID of my book like one of those, like, old time.
Becca Kufrin
He's be laying across a horse.
Hannah Brown
3D printer.
Rachel Lindsay
3D printer.
Hannah Brown
Yeah. So honestly, I feel like I don't. Like I said, don't know what happens. You know, Will I see what happens? I don't know. But he was a gym.
Rachel Lindsay
I fully agree.
Becca Kufrin
He has our vote too.
Rachel Lindsay
Like, he knows I'm his, like, biggest fan. I've been saying. I'm like I hope everyone gets to meet Casey, whether that's bachelor or not. But like the world deserves to know who this man is because he's that good of a person.
Hannah Brown
So great. So great. So

Speaking of Taylor season, obviously we have not seen it. Don't know if we'll see it, but we did get to see one episode which was our Bachelorette reunion, mine and Charity's first. Hannah, was it your first one?
Hannah Brown
It was my first two. The last reunion was on my season, so I wasn't part of it. But they did it while I was. I was filming.
Rachel Lindsay
Oh, amazing.
Becca Kufrin
I love that we had such a good time. What was it like for you being back as an alum and seeing all the Bachelorettes?
Hannah Brown
It was really special. I think sometimes it can be intimidating being in a group of very powerful, strong, beautiful women for anyone. And some, like, I still get, like, nervous sometimes. Like, these people that I've looked up to that I haven't met or, you know, and it was such a beautiful group of women. And I think there was, I'll be honest, like, when I was first on the Bachelorette, going through all the crap that I went through, I was like, I didn't know how to take the support because I'm like, everybody's journey is so unique. And I was really, like, tender. But it was so special to truly be around, like, the only people that will ever, like, understand what it's like to be in that position, even though we all had different experiences. And it was truly, like, an honor to be, like, wow, Like, I am one of. Like, I have something that these other women have that. That has me in this group. And, yeah, it was really, really cool. Like, so glad that I was able to be a part of that. So glad that we did that. I'm like, let's do it again.
Becca Kufrin
No, literally, let's do it every single year.
Hannah Brown
Yeah.
Rachel Lindsay
Can we start an annual vacation? Like, let me know. Like, how was it meeting Taylor? Obviously, we all got to meet her, but, like, your experience, like, did you have any, like, one on one time with her that was, like, super special,
Hannah Brown
to be completely honest. Like, she was lovely, and I got to meet her briefly at a Dancing with the Stars taping, and she was so sweet. And then being able to have a little bit more time to have a one on one chat with her of just what the experience was like, really obviously had not seen Mormon wives and everything, you know, that she was filming before to really know where she was at. But I just tried to talk to her about, like, this is such a. An opportunity to be removed from, you know, your past and. And your environment and be able to, like, step into something that is truly, like, for you all for you, and embrace that and. And be yourself. And I think she. She is unapologetically herself, and I'm interested to see, like, what that is, especially from now seeing, like, what was all going in her life before, like, how that translates to the relationships and the experience that she had. But as far as my experience with her, wonderful. And I think she is just a normal human being that, you know, like I said, like, I feel like she could. She can be the hero in her story and probably the villain in her story. Just, like, I was like, I'm interested to see how that all goes, but it's for my experience with her. Like, I loved it. Yeah. What about y'?
Charity Lawson
All?
Hannah Brown
I don't know how to really answer that question. Like, yeah, there's so much.
Rachel Lindsay
It is very interesting. And, like, like you said, my. I mean, my first time meeting her in person was at the reunion, and, like, I got very, like, brief moments, but, like, from that experience, yeah, she was very lovely. I feel like she came into that day wanting to, like, hear from all of us and wanting to get, like, you know, as much as she could take away and be like, okay, how can I apply this either to my journey or just even, like, outside of this, like, what's going to be helpful for me in my actual personal life? So, like, I appreciated that, and, like, obviously, without knowing the ins and outs of everything, like, trying to give and contribute as much as I could. But, yeah, like, she. She was very. Just calm, it seemed like, and just, you know, inquisitive, like.
Hannah Brown
Yeah. So, like, looking back, she was really open to feedback and to just our own experiences and how she could take that into hers. But we shall see what that looked like. That is so true.
Becca Kufrin
Okay, we talked about the Bachelorette, and let's segue a little because you are married. Congratulations. How has married life been for you, Hannah?
Hannah Brown
It's been great. Like, it is. Like I said, the summer of getting married for me was so crazy, but once I got to France, we got married in France. It was so fun. The. The wedding was amazing. We had the best time, and the first year of marriage has been really sweet. I am like, what are we doing in our first year of marriage? Like, remodeling a house, and we're, like. We're, like, nomadic, and everybody. The hardest thing you can go through in a marriage. And I'm like, okay, we're just doing it. We're getting out of the way year one.
Rachel Lindsay
Yeah.
Hannah Brown
And there's been, like, definitely, like, not having your own space. Space with your partner who also works at home. It's like. And there's been a lot of moments of, like, just laughing through it and, like, finding ways to find joy in, you know, being nomadic and just, like, there's been a lot of. Of growth. And. Yeah, I. I highly. I'm pro marriage and highly suggest it. And charity. I'm so excited for y'. All. Like, yes, it feels so. It actually does feel different. Like, you're like.
Rachel Lindsay
I remember asking you that.
Hannah Brown
Yeah, it does feel different. And, yeah, it's just really. It's been sweet and also crazy, which. Yeah, I think I just. I have to have a little bit of crazy thrown in at all times. Oh, yes.
Becca Kufrin
Weren't you guys living separately until you got married? And now you guys are renovating this house together? So what. What's up? And, like, do you guys have similar taste, or is it more like you?
Hannah Brown
Come on, it's me. Like, we, like, we changed up some rooms. Like, he's getting what was going to be my office because we realized the things are real eyes in marriage. Like, you know, we're both working from home. His office was up where my closet was and our. Our bedroom was. And then I'm changing one room into my dressing room that's right beside his office. And we were like. We were getting in these little spats of him telling me to shh when he was on a call. And I'm like, I'm making content. Okay.
Rachel Lindsay
Hello. I'm working.
Hannah Brown
We. I'm working too. So we gotta, like, figure this out. So anyway, we flip flopped offices. So basically I. I'm saying the upstairs is my Barbie dream house. Not so upstairs is all mine. And so he got my office, and I was working with the designer. Like, we're trying to make it not as feminine, so. But also, like, my taste. And he was looking at it last night. He was like, I don't like that pillow. It's like an animal print. And I was like, I do not care. I like the pillow.
Becca Kufrin
We're keeping it. This is Hannah's dream house.
Hannah Brown
If you're on the call and you don't like it, you can. You can throw it. You can put it away. But we're getting the custom pillow that I want, and it's gonna. And it's fine. And so he was like, okay, like, I got my. Got my way, but I do. He. He is into it. Like, he. He'll be like, why am I not on that email? And I'm like, oh, my gosh. Okay. You really wanted the paint color that I'm going back and forth between it, so. But I do actually appreciate that, because I don't. I think it can be really hard as a successful woman. Sometimes it can feel lonely or you're just doing. I feel like I can do it on my own, but, like, it's good to have your spouse be involved. And, yeah, it not feel like. Like, this is our house, so he is involved enough. But, like, when it comes to the design, he does trust me, and we do. We really do. Other than the pillow, we do have similar tastes, so it's working out so far.
Rachel Lindsay
Was he like that? No, literally, I'm like, I do want to see, but was he like that during wedding planning? Because I feel like I'm, like, I'm, like, in the middle with Dot a little bit. Like, he is not as vocal, but then, like, when he is, I'm like, not on this. Like, not right.
Charity Lawson
It's not.
Rachel Lindsay
Right now, I'm like, this is the wrong thing to be vocal about.
Hannah Brown
Like, you're like, oh, I want you to be involved. But then when they decide to be involved, you're like, wait. It's the craziest timing, and it's like, the rant. It's like the, like, little weird things. Like, you care about that.
Rachel Lindsay
That's right. No, literally, it was like napkin holders. I was like, what? I'm like, literally. I said, we're not doing that.
Becca Kufrin
How does he even know what that is?
Hannah Brown
He's just like, what is. Like, I don't like the way that thing is. I want it to be like this. I'm like, exactly. Um, yeah, he was like that, too. But, like, I. I do think we have similar tastes. Like, oh, my gosh. One of our friends makes fun of me, and one of my good friends, like, you, like, kind of, like, dressed like a chic grandma, and I'm like, yeah, and my husband loves it. Like, he is the one that's like, oh, I love that, like, vintage top you have on. It's so cool. Like, so compare the same style, for sure. Supports the classic, dreamy, feminine air that I bring to things. Even though he's a very masculine man, he, like, likes our home and the aura of everything to be that. So it's been great. And, like, will there be pink in our, you know, Main area, but probably. And he's fine with it. But this one animal print pillow he could not get behind.
Becca Kufrin
We're attaching that to the clip.
Rachel Lindsay
I know. I'm like, there's just so many things I need to prepare my life for. Someone. I gotta look out for the pillows.
Hannah Brown
Okay. But guess what? We signed away to do the pillows. It was happening. You gotta be flexible with. That's something. It's not like I. It's not like wallpaper that, you know, takes a bit to remove. Like we have that is. That is. This pillow is like marriage. The little things you gotta let. Well, he's gotta let go. Yeah.
Becca Kufrin
Hannah's like telling you your future right now. No, she really is. I'm like, she's always like a step ahead.
Hannah Brown
But like have to be aligned in the values which could be wallpaper. You know, like, you gotta live with this all over. We got to be aligned in it. But the little things, whatever.
Rachel Lindsay
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm literally laughing. This is so good. Did you know you can hydrate your skin up to 10 layers deep with CeraVe facial moisturizing lotion?

I just received my order from Dietz and Watson. I am so excited. I got chicken sausages and flavored cheddar cheeses. You know I'm from New England and I know a genuine New York State cheddar when I see it. They are infused with real ingredients, iconic flavors and a smooth, creamy finish. I think my favorite one was the Champagne cheddar. It just is delicious. And the chicken sausage. They never have antibiotics, no nitrates are added, they're gluten free and they have bold, authentic recipes. Dietz and Watson has been handcrafting premium meats and artisan cheeses for over 85 years. They're family owned and operated and they've never cut corners. Ever. They're transparent about what goes into their food and what doesn't and they know good taste, good doesn't need a long list of ingredients. Dietz and Watson is simply made. It's as simple as that. Okay, Hannah, we are going to play a quick game. Really quick. We're going to give you a prompt and you're going to have to decide if you would want it to be a book boyfriend, a real boyfriend, or absolutely not. No presence in your life at all.
Hannah Brown
Great.
Rachel Lindsay
Okay, so I will go with the first one. He waits years for you and never gets over you.
Hannah Brown
That's a great book boyfriend because there's probably a reason you're not with them, but a great, swoon worthy book boyfriend.
Becca Kufrin
I agree. I love that. The Notebook. Okay, yeah. He owns a motorcycle and refuses to tell you where he's going. Motorcycle sexy.
Hannah Brown
That would be a no go.
Rachel Lindsay
Okay, yeah.
Hannah Brown
Like, like what, what's, what's happening on your motorcycle? Where are you going to?
Rachel Lindsay
I'm like, yeah. I'm like, either that or I was like, he could be like a bad boyfriend in a book. Like a not good guy.
Hannah Brown
Yeah, yeah, he could. But like, no.
Rachel Lindsay
She's like, not in mind.
Hannah Brown
I'm not spreading that into the world as well.
Rachel Lindsay
Exactly.
Hannah Brown
Okay, the next one is the unavailable man. No.
Rachel Lindsay
Hello. Okay. He remembers the tiniest detail you mentioned three years ago.
Hannah Brown
That is a real boyfriend. But also great material for a book boyfriend. But I would for everyone. Yeah.
Becca Kufrin
Okay. He gets jealous when another man talks to you.
Hannah Brown
I mean, in, in, in a book it could work. There's like a love triangle. I'm thinking like tropes. It could work for a book boyfriend. Probably not real life, but book boyfriend. Yeah, yeah,
Rachel Lindsay
yeah, agreed.
Becca Kufrin
A little jealousy in a book.
Rachel Lindsay
He shows up at the airport right before your flight.
Hannah Brown
Real boyfriend.
Rachel Lindsay
Truly.
Becca Kufrin
That's like a dream of mine.
Rachel Lindsay
No, true.
Becca Kufrin
Running through the airport, even though I don't think you could technically do that.
Rachel Lindsay
Like a sign. Yeah, I like. I do want the side. I want it all, like flowers and a sign.
Hannah Brown
The Adam always brings, like, Wally and in him to, you know, send me all over to pick me up, and I'm just like. And typically, like, a sweet treat or something because has to, you know, late. Duh. And I don't have.
Becca Kufrin
We'll do a couple more. Okay. He disappears for six months, but then comes back saying it was always you.
Hannah Brown
I. I don't know. That's. I think that's a no for me. I mean, maybe. Maybe in a book. Maybe a book. Because, like, what if we're, you know. You know, we're doing a little magic here. There's a little bit magic. He was off with some elves, and
Becca Kufrin
they, like, he's fighting a war dragon.
Hannah Brown
I don't know that it could work. It could work.
Rachel Lindsay
Okay, last one. He's emotionally unavailable, but deep down, you know he loves you.
Hannah Brown
Never gonna work. Never gonna work.
Rachel Lindsay
I agree.
Hannah Brown
Unfortunately, been there, done that. Doesn't work.
Rachel Lindsay
I agree.
Becca Kufrin
I'm still learning that one advice from Hannah is gonna be our next podcast, and we just need you to come on and tell us literally all the advice.
Hannah Brown
I mean, I can give some and then some. You'd be like, oh, God. Oh, it's because she's the red flag that's fit.
Rachel Lindsay
We all have it.
Hannah Brown
We all have our little.
Rachel Lindsay
Our little beige flags.
Hannah Brown
Yes. Yeah.
Rachel Lindsay
Yeah.
Hannah Brown
I love it.
Becca Kufrin
Hannah, thank you so, so, so much for joining us on happy hour. And where can everyone follow you if they're not already?
Hannah Brown
Well, you know, Instagram is where all the things are happening for me. I, you know, share updates about all the things going on in my life. But for my book, if you are so intrigued and want to support this new era of Hannah, you can find links, my bio in my. On my page of all the places that you can buy the book. And I'm also going on book tour. I'm actually stopping by to see other Bachelor alums, Ashley, I and Jared. We're going to. I'm going to Rhode island to Audrey's. That's really fun. And then going to a bunch of different places the week of release week. So you can check that out on my Instagram too, and I hope to see you there.
Rachel Lindsay
Amazing.
Becca Kufrin
Everyone make sure. You pre order the book. And, yes, support.
Hannah Brown
I am not too proud to beg. Just buy my book. Literally. You should. But, just, like, help a girl out so that we can. We can bring this to life in a movie one day.
Becca Kufrin
Yeah, absolutely.
Rachel Lindsay
We love you, Hannah.
Becca Kufrin
Love you, Hannah.
Hannah Brown
Thank you.
Rachel Lindsay
I just love her. I love Hannah. Like, Hannah. She's not, like, you know, royalty. I don't know what that was, but she is royalty.
Becca Kufrin
And I think this conversation really tells me why, because she is so herself, and I feel like that is an art that we have lost in reality TV for a lot of people. And her saying that she was boots on the ground in paradise, seeing that we've lost the ability to be ourself. I'm like, it really, like, that conversation
Rachel Lindsay
was huge, but I feel like. And that's what I'm like. I like, obviously, me and you each had so many separate conversations about it, but I'm like, it's beyond reality tv. I think that's just, like, what. Like, that is just current society right now. Like, individuality does not exist. Every, like, you know when you ask your girlfriends, like, what are you wearing? And they're all like, oh, I'm wearing this. And it's the same exact outfit. Absolutely not. Like, do not show up in the same outfit as me. So it's like, it's just like, I don't know, lack of individuality all around. But also, like, obviously they're casting for Bachelor 30. Like, I've had so many DMs asking me, like, oh, my gosh, what do I need to do to, like, get on the show? Obviously, like, it's a little bit different than that, but it's like, I feel like people are asking that of, like, what can I do different about just being who I am to, like, have a spot or to get into this? And it's like, just be. Like, I literally say the same thing every time. I'm like, just be you. You know, like, you don't have to change anything. Like, nothing needs to be different. Thrive, shine. Do you? And everything will literally fall in your lap. Like, I promise you.
Becca Kufrin
No, that's so well said, because I feel like my one experience. Well, when I was Bachelorette, because I was there with someone else, I really just wanted to be, like, the perfect Bachelorette. And I feel like that's the season I look back on, and I'm like, that was my least favorite season because I just wasn't being true to who I was because I. I wanted to be perfect. And then I have all the other seasons where I'm crying and freaking out and I'm like, you know what? It wasn't easy to watch, but at least I was, like, true to myself. So it is so true. I mean, for everyone listening, for everyone applying, like, really to go in and just show who you are, because we are missing that in this world.
Rachel Lindsay
Yeah. I want insane. I want not insane. I want it all.
Becca Kufrin
I want goofy.
Rachel Lindsay
I went nerdy. Like, give me variety. That variety, please.
Hannah Brown
Yes.
Becca Kufrin
And speaking of Hannah's book, I'm so excited because I feel like there's been so much lore around the ending of her season and then going into, like, her actual real life having this crazy twist. Like, reality tv couldn't have written how insane that was.
Rachel Lindsay
I think we all were like, oh, when we realized what was happening, we were like, like, how is she? Like, how is she surviving this? But, like, I'm so curious to read this and, like, try to connect the dots a little bit. We need to start a book club for this too. Her book and Rachel Lindsay's book.
Becca Kufrin
We need to start. I was gonna say both of them.
Rachel Lindsay
Yeah. But this is like the most craziest ending, but I'm like, so glad to hear that. It's not only obviously brought their family closer, but she just seems like even talking about it. She's in, like, a very happy place. And I don't know what, she got a good therapist, but I'm like, praise God. I'm like, I love that for her
Becca Kufrin
and I have their number. Also love, like, the fact that she is, like, writing these books. I think reality TV gives you such an amazing platform and sometimes people don't utilize it. And I love the fact that she's been able to, like, live out a dream and create this universe that's healed her. I mean, you. I mean, so beautiful. We love Hannah and we are so excited to read Hannah's book. So make sure that you guys are ordering the book and you are following us on Bachelor Happy Hour and Bachelor Nation. Make sure you rate, review and subscribe wherever you listen to your podcasts.

We'll see you guys next time.

Podcast: Bachelor Happy Hour
Hosts: Charity Lawson, Rachel Recchia
Guest: Hannah Brown (with Becca Kufrin and Rachel Lindsay featuring in hosting rotation)
Release Date: June 26, 2026
This episode is the second part of the interview with former Bachelorette and Bachelor Nation favorite, Hannah Brown. The conversation delves into what really happens behind the scenes on “Bachelor in Paradise” — including unfiltered takes on reality TV authenticity, the influence of social media, and truths about romance within the franchise. It offers candid reflections on personal growth, the importance of being oneself on reality TV, and peeks into Hannah’s married life. The hosts also indulge in some fun with a quick relationship “book vs. real boyfriend” game and share excitement for Hannah’s upcoming book.
“People need to go on dates with different people. Right? So it was so frustrating to me. If you're interested in this person, you're just gonna let them go after one day, do it right. ... This is probably not the show or the experience for you.”
— Hannah Brown (04:07)
“Try to be fully you and be open to however that is received.”
— Hannah Brown (07:09)
“He was so thoughtful and intentional… I literally couldn’t believe it… He made me these bookends… with magnetic little icons of, I guess, the iconic moments and things in my life.”
— Hannah Brown (11:33)
“She can be the hero in her story and probably the villain in her story. Just, like, I was. Like, I’m interested to see how that all goes…”
— Hannah Brown (21:10)
“When it comes to the design, he does trust me, and we do. We really do—other than the pillow, we do have similar tastes, so it’s working out so far.”
— Hannah Brown (26:04)
(35:27-39:04)
“Great book boyfriend… There’s probably a reason you’re not with them.”
— Hannah Brown (35:50)
“That would be a no go.”
— Hannah Brown (36:12)
“Never gonna work. Never gonna work. ... Been there, done that.”
— Hannah Brown (38:56)
Authenticity is Missing:
Both the hosts and Hannah agree: the franchise needs more contestants who aren’t afraid to be themselves, rather than those who play to the crowd or the cameras (43:00-43:37).
“She is so herself, and I feel like that is an art we have lost in reality TV… We’ve lost the ability to be ourselves.”
— Becca Kufrin (40:53)
Be true to yourself — don’t try to be perfect or emulate previous contestants.
Variety and unique personalities are sorely needed, both for TV and real dating success.
“Do you? And everything will literally fall in your lap. Like, I promise you.”
— Rachel Lindsay (41:13)
This episode is a deep dive into the evolving culture of Bachelor Nation — providing honest perspectives on fame, romance, and individuality. Hannah Brown’s stories, humor, and frank advice spotlight both the joys and complexities of being true to oneself on and off reality TV. Whether you’re an aspiring contestant or a lifelong fan, the episode is packed with wisdom, laughter, and warmth.
