Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Hello and welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour.
Charity
I'm Rachel and I am Charity. And today we have two very special guests from Bachelor Nation who you guys know very, very well. But hey, we also had a little run on Vanderpump Villa. And everybody welcome Mercedes and Jess.
Mercedes Northup
Hi, guys. Hi.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Everyone sounds immaculate today because we are coming fresh off of Stagecoach which we are going to get into because I wasn't there and I need to know everything, right?
Charity
So take it away. Who wants to get started?
Jessica Gerard
Stagecoach. So fun. I feel like I'm hanging on by a thread. We did Stagecoach and Coachella, so that was a lot. But yeah, it was fun. It was really fun.
Mercedes Northup
I was in for you. It was so fun. I was in California for three weeks. So I like, I literally just, I took a red eye, my first red eye last night. I'll never do that again because I got home and I like literally passed out. But yeah, it was fun. Stagecoach was amazing. I feel like all like there's so many bachelor people there that we got to run into and see everyone. So it was super fun. Minus the windstorm. That was crazy.
Charity
And so I love us keeping this
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
like PG and like really cute. But like what happened at Sagecoach? Like, what's the drama? Who do we.
Jessica Gerard
I'm going to need a little bit. We didn't do like anything exciting. Like I feel like we Just kept to ourselves. Right.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
You weren't at this party where Charity got kicked in the head?
Mercedes Northup
No. Where were you guys?
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
In the Windstar.
Charity
I literally told. I. I called Jazz. I was like, get your butt over here.
Jessica Gerard
I was on a. After the. When the windstorm happened, I found myself on a random bus with random influencers. I was terrified of my mind. And then going to a random party that felt like. Like Justin Bieber's house. And then I walked home sick.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
What'd you meet at the party?
Jessica Gerard
Like, just a lot of, like, Love island people and just, like, random tiktokers.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I love a Love island person.
Charity
Truly.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Did you guys meet any of Taylor, Frankie, Paul's guys? We were talking about them earlier.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah, I met. Oh, gosh, I figured his name. He's like, the shorter guy. He lives in Nashville.
Jessica Gerard
Clayton guy.
Mercedes Northup
Clayton? Yes, please.
Charity
I thought they already knew each other. Was that Yalls first time meeting Mercedes, or did I think I asked you? Yeah, it was okay. Yeah, they're both in Nashville, so isn't Casey. Yeah, Casey, too. Did you meet Casey?
Mercedes Northup
I literally only met Clay.
Charity
Oh, wow.
Jessica Gerard
I don't know which one I met. I'm assuming it's the same one as Mercedes. Yeah.
Charity
I really wanted. I wanted just to meet Casey, too.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I mean, there's two guys living in Nashville.
Charity
Don't worry about it. Don't worry about anything.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
We have plans that we cannot discuss yet.
Charity
Correct.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Just know they're there.
Charity
Okay. Don't worry. Okay. Let's get into what we are here for, Truly.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay. I am so excited because I watched Vanderpump Villa as a fan, because I was so excited to see you guys. I didn't know I had to watch it from the beginning of the season all the way till you guys got there at the end.
Charity
Me either.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
There was so much happening. But I want to talk about you guys arriving. What was that like, pulling up to this huge villa? Was it like the mansion? What was it like?
Mercedes Northup
Yeah, I mean, we came in on these, like, little cars. I honestly didn't know what to expect. I feel like I went in and, like, I had no idea what's happening. I feel like that's, like, a common thing with me. Like, I just, like.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I.
Mercedes Northup
Like, I was just like, all right, we're gonna. We're going to London, and we're filming this show that I've never watched. Like, I don't know anyone on there. So when we, like, first off, we had an amazing group, like, everyone, like, the group that Charity and Don put together. It was like. It was so good, and we all got along super well. But, yeah, the house is beautiful. We got to meet so many people. And, you know, Jess, if you want to take it away, I feel like you got more to talk about,
Jessica Gerard
so please. No, I mean, it was, like, really cool. Again, like, none of us watch the show. I think I. Before I went on, I watched, like, a little bit of the Mormon Wives episode just to, like, get an idea of, like, what really this is. So I went into it. Like, you guys know how I am with, like, reality tv. Like, I'm always so scared, Right. But when I watched a little bit of the Mormon Wives, like, they don't really. Like, they didn't really air a lot of, like, the guests. There's a lot of the cast. So I kind of went into it, like, okay, like, we're just going to have fun. Like, it's like a free trip with our friends, and we're not going to be aired at all.
Mercedes Northup
Like, it's fine.
Jessica Gerard
So that's how that was my perspective going into it.
Charity
I want to give context because I think it's very important. So obviously, like, Daughton and I are not single, but everybody else there was. So I think that was, like, a really big incentive for. For them. But also the Vanderpump Villa cast. So I don't know if they knew that, but I was like, yeah, like, the single. My single crew is coming. So that was like, you know, we were as much as I could orchestrate. I really was hopeful that there was gonna be a time had. And indeed there was.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I, as a viewer, thought it was amazing. Cause when I was watching all the other shows come in, there is just a vibe and so something about Bachelor Nation. First of all, everyone looked beautiful. It was like the hottest people came into the villa. Immediately. When you're walking in, there are, you know, all these staff members.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Who were you guys clicking with?
Jessica Gerard
Like, as you got out of the
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
car before we really got into the drinks and the mingling.
Charity
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Question mark.
Charity
Don't all.
Jessica Gerard
I don't know. Well, I just remember, like, when the. When the car was pulling up, Mercedes was sitting next to me, and she, like, pointed out the window and she pointed to Nick, and she was like, jess, like, I feel like that guy is gonna, like, f you up. And I was like, oh, my God, he's so cute.
Mercedes Northup
No, I was like. I was like, that guy looks like he could ruin your life. Like, out of everyone, I think that's the one that you might have. Yeah.
Jessica Gerard
Like, we kind of clocked it from. From a mile away. So, like. But the way that I work is, like, I instantly was like, okay, well, I'm not going to talk to him. So, like, I was scared. And so when we went inside, it was really nice. Like, meeting everyone was so nice coming up to us. But I believe Nick, like, came to me and, like, introduced himself to me, and so that's kind of how it all started. But everyone was really nice. Like, the cast was super great. I feel like they kept saying how we were their favorite group. I don't. I mean, I'm going to speak to them, but, like, they did.
Charity
I watched it back.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
You guys were respectful, you were hot, you were a good time.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah.
Charity
I mean, it's truly the trifecta. That is a good combination. That's what you want.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
The other guests, I mean, I don't know how much you guys watched. It was kind of horrific to watch
Jessica Gerard
some of the other guests.
Charity
No, that's. And that's also what we were told,
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
so I'm sure you guys were a welcome surprise. Mercedes, were you clicking with anyone, like, right off the bat?
Mercedes Northup
No, not. Not right off the bat.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
You were hanging back.
Mercedes Northup
I was. I was, like, very chill going into it, but, yeah. No. No one sparked my interest, like, right off the bat. But then I had, like, a. It wasn't, like, a thing. But the hot tub night, you know, everyone was having sex.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Yeah, we will get into a hot tub night.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Charity
That's where things got carried away.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I have to ask, because obviously there were other single women. There were Maria. Maria and Ariel. Were they hitting it off with people right away, or was that more later?
Charity
I feel, like, naturally. Like, they are just, like, naturally flirtatious people, but, like, not. Like, that's just their personalities. But not, like, I don't think intentionally of, like, oh, my God, like, they, like, were locked in on anybody. Yeah, I don't feel like that was.
Mercedes Northup
I would agree with that.
Jessica Gerard
What about the guys?
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Like, the.
Charity
Sean and them?
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Yeah.
Charity
Oh, you know, ready to go.
Jessica Gerard
They were on a mission.
Charity
Hello.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
All three of them.
Charity
I mean. Well, honestly, I will say Xavier was on his best behavior, which I was like, Xavier.
Jessica Gerard
Xavier kept himself.
Charity
Wish you acted, like I said last season.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
And John B. I didn't expect that from him.
Charity
Neither did I.
Mercedes Northup
So I thought he was a nice.
Charity
I knew Sean was going to. No, I knew Sean was going to deliver. Like, that's why Sean was there. Correct. But, like, Xavier, we were, like, me and Dalton, truly plotting. We were like, oh, he's about to, like, let's. We need. We need him in here. And then John B. I was like, where is this coming from? Like, completely opposite of what he was preaching online. But anyway, we'll get there. We'll get there.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay. Night one. Drinks are flowing. Things are happening. Walk me through, Jessica. Night one with London Boy.
Jessica Gerard
London Boy. So, guys, like, the thing is, like, my memory, like, we don't.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Wait, give me this memory.
Charity
No, I'm like. And I. And don't worry, that's why I'm here.
Jessica Gerard
Well, there was no drinking limit, which normally that's not an issue for me because I don't drink. But for some reason in the uk, I decided to have fun. So night one, I just remembered, like, Nick and that's just like, when Nick and I were just, like, flirting the most. I think he ended up, like, randomly kissing me and like a crowd of, like, everyone, like, in the room with everyone. And it was just like, it threw me off because I wasn't mentally prepared. And then it kind of just like.
Charity
But you liked it, right?
Jessica Gerard
Of course.
Mercedes Northup
No.
Jessica Gerard
Yes, I did like it. Yes.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
What about you? Night one, I didn't see enough of you on camera.
Charity
Mercedes was there for a good time, not a long time.
Mercedes Northup
I was, I was.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Were you smooshing? I think saw glimpses of you here and there.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah. No, I didn't kiss nights. Night one, I was definitely like, the vibe, like, I was making everyone drink, making sure that the. The drink limit was, you know, was
Charity
not being literally my other wing woman. I'm like, let's help facilitate.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay, I have a question. So, Sean, I was at night one, went to Hannah and was kind of hitting it off with her.
Charity
Yes, yes.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Did you guys see any of the Hannah and Marciano drama happening?
Charity
Which is crazy because I'm like, watching you back. We were like, oh, my God.
Jessica Gerard
There was.
Charity
We had no idea.
Jessica Gerard
I had no idea. Me and Mercedes were watching it and we were like, what? When did this all happen? There was like one moment where Nick and I were in the bar by ourselves talking, and then like, Hannah came in and was like, having an argument with someone. And it was like a whole thing, but, like, that. They didn't even air that part. So, like, that was the only time I saw that there was some kind of tension. But I thought maybe it was just like in that one night and it got brushed over. But they never talked to us about any drama that was happening ever.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
So you guys didn't see any of the behind the scenes drama?
Charity
No, not like, not how it was aired, like, kind of what, like going off what just said. Like, there was moments where you can just be like, okay, something like awkward might be happening, but like, we never thought it would be magnified to like how it was on tv.
Jessica Gerard
We were like, I think there's like a rule that you can't argue in front of the guests. Like, and like at the end of the whole thing, we like, score. Who like, performed the best as, like a, as like a, in the hospitality world and like, as a cast member. So they're trying to win the end of it. So they're trying to work on their best behavior. So, like, they weren't.
Charity
Yeah, they're gonna present the their best versions of themselves to us.

This episode is brought to you by Reef and if comfort had a personality, yeah, it'd be them. You probably think sandals and fair, but the woman's Neptune is proof that they absolutely nailed everyday shoes too. This one slips right into your life, no planning required. The Crushback heel lets you wear it your way. Just kick it on when you're rushing out the door, flip it up when the day calls for a little bit more stability. It's lightweight, breathable and quietly doing the most, which I love. And the soft quilted insole. That part your feet will thank you for later. For me, it feels like stepping onto a plush pillow every single time I wore these on a full chaotic day in the city. From subways to hailing taxis, running endless errands, meetings, and the best part of it all. Not once did I notice the shoes that I was wearing because they felt that good. My feet were more than good, they were great. Great enough that it'll make you want to keep going and making sure that you're getting those steps in easy, comfortable and handled. If you want a shoe that keeps up with you without asking questions, check out the Woman's Neptune on reef.com and treat yourself to 15 off your first purchase.

Amazon Health AI presents painful thoughts why did I search the Internet for answers to my cold sore problem? Now I'm stuck down a rabbit hole filled with images of alarmingly graphic source in various stages of ooze. I can clear my search history, but I can never unsee that don't go down the rabbit hole. Amazon health AI gets you the right care fast.
Charity
Healthcare just got less painful.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
So in your guys's experience in the villa, did it seem like the staff was there to interact with you, or were they more like, behind the scenes?
Charity
It definitely was, like. It was like both. I feel like it's like a blend of, like, below the deck and then how Vanderpump rules is, like, they definitely wanted us to flirt. They wanted some little love triangles, things happening. But also it's like, you are there to work, so, like, do your job.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
And they actually have to do the job.
Charity
1,000.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
It's not just for TV.
Charity
Oh, no, they are. They are putting on, like.
Jessica Gerard
No, they're like, we have rooms. We had room service every day, like, every morning. Like, they were folding our towels, like, tidying up our room. They were actually working. And then I would say, like, every day at, like, 10pm they were done. And then they would hang out with us. We actually ended up, like. I think I forget who we said. Was it sage that we, like, said could have used improvement? And that was only. Only because we didn't see her, like, as much as we saw everyone else.
Mercedes Northup
Right.
Charity
There was, like, less interaction, which obviously watching it back was, like, fighting with Tyler.
Jessica Gerard
Fighting.
Charity
Yeah. It was a sore spot for her, coming off the previous guest. I guess, like, the same kind of situation happened where she wasn't as, like, inserting herself in or amongst the guests. So she was like, I need to do better. But then the whole Tyler thing happened on our. Our time there. So. Yeah, okay.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Charity
Poor girl. But so before we move on to
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
day two, because that is where I really want to talk about, but was there anything happening that maybe we didn't see? Like, were people hooking up? Were there, like, storylines that were missed?
Jessica Gerard
I can't think of anything.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah, I don't think so. I feel like you saw everything from night one.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay.
Charity
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
So night one, Jess respectfully gets walked back to her room.
Charity
Yes, she does.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
And then after we see London boy hooking up with Alyssa immediately.
Charity
Which blew my mind. Blew my mind.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Was there any indication that that was going on?
Jessica Gerard
No.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Which no one knows.
Charity
Do you want to talk about or you want me to start off? Because I got lots to say.
Jessica Gerard
I'm here. You start off. You start off.
Charity
Okay. I think that's insane. I'm so sorry. It's insane for Nick. It's the same for Alyssa. So sorry. I'm like, in what world? And I guess, like, I don't know if that's a part of, like, the show where it's like, okay, keep the inside house drama away from the guests. But I'm like, that's not even drama. It's like, you guys are both actively pursuing, which by all means, not shaming anyone. Do whatever you need to do. But we're not. I'm not in the ministry of double timing. You know what I mean? Especially on Nick's behalf. Like, him walking, like, walking just to her. See, I almost said Alyssa insane. Walking just to her room. And then we see the camera go. I'm like, this. I'm like, sorry, hit the mic again. I'm very passionate. But I was just like, I. We didn't know. Like, we literally didn't know. So the whole time I'm like, oh, my God. Like, I'm so supportive of, like, this little, you know, thing with Jess and Nick and, like, obviously Mercedes, too. We're just like, yeah, this is cute. Like, okay, like, take it away. But I'm, like, watching it back. I literally. I literally texted her. I said, I want to start a justice for Jess campaign because that's what you will never do to my girl.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
And you know what? I mean, there are some producer crossovers happening from that show to our show. I would think that maybe a little bit behind the scenes, they'd be like, hey, just so you know, you would think. You would think they are making a TV show.
Charity
I need Jess to insert. Go ahead, Jess, please.
Jessica Gerard
Well, I think. Well, the thing about London Boy, I don't even want to say his name. Honestly.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
We don't say his name.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah, we don't say his name. The thing about London Boy is he's such a good charmer. And he's a really great guy. Like, honestly, like, whatever, but he's a really good charmer. So the whole time, he was really doing his best charming me. And I really did believe, like, everything he was saying. And then you see it sometimes his, like, itms where he's, like, saying, like, I have him wrapped around his weight. I have him wrapped around his finger.
Charity
He has you wrapped around his.
Jessica Gerard
Or he has me wrapped around his finger. Scary or whatever. This. I don't know what way, whatever.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
He said that you, like, you were the one in control.
Jessica Gerard
Like, yeah.
Charity
So you had him wrapped.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
He made me feel.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah, like, I. Like, he was, like, actively pursuing me. And so the way that I work in any type of, like, pursuant or some type of, like, forming a flirtatious bond with someone I saw in a relationship, but, like, I Would never. If I had known that night he went to bed with Alyssa, the rest of my time would have been so different. I didn't know that at all the whole time. He took a couple weeks after the show to, like, even let me know about things. Like, I did actually even know about him sleeping with her in that time until he got to watch the preview of the show, which.
Charity
Which is crazy, because my point. He lived the experience. He knows, like, that's. That's crazy.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
He thought it wouldn't.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah.
Charity
I don't know what he thought.
Jessica Gerard
I think he just was pushing off, telling me, which is weird, because I like him. And I mean, he was a different country. So him and I have been friends since the show ended, and, like, they're. You know, there's no sort of like. Like, it's more of a friendship, if anything. So I don't know why he wouldn't have just shared it. I think I was more of, like, taken back that he didn't share it, rather than just, like, keeping it a secret until he had, like, the last minute.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I will say, though, watching, like, the previous guests, like, because he was flirty and with other guests, but there was something different about the way he acted with Jess and the way he spoke about Jess.
Charity
Right.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
And I told Jess this. I'm like, I'm watching the whole thing through. And he really had respect for you, which is so surprising that he wouldn't.
Charity
I know. And that's where I feel, like, it just got a little blurred, because I'm like, oh, he already has maybe these established connections that he just, like. I don't know if it's, like, guilt or whatever. Like, he just can't cut off. But I'm just like. I wish that he just would have, like, done it. You know what I mean? For the sake of, like. Okay, if there's. If you genuinely, like, feel something, which is what we all thought was what was going on, and just, like. Like, you. It's okay. Like, cut it off. Like, what is there to lose? You know?
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Jessica Gerard
Well, there also. There was a part, like. And it showed where I knew that him and Alyssa had some sort of history. And he did share that with me, that they shared a kiss. I believe that's what it was. But again, like, with the way that he was pursuing me, especially in front of her, and, like, her and John B. Were, like, having a thing. Like, I really just thought that there was a separation. I mean, I did consider Alyssa and Meredith, like, good friends in the show, too. So I just don't think anyone really communicated with me the extent of what was going on. Because, I mean, I was texting Rachel and I was like, I look so bad. I was freaking out. I know, but I was freaking out because I was like, I look like I'm like the other woman in this. And that's just like the last thing I would ever like, put, like, involve myself in.
Mercedes Northup
So.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay, let's move on to day two.
Charity
We will.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Mercedes, where do you come in on this with the smooch? And it has to be more than the hot tub.
Charity
Yeah, there was some. Something.
Jessica Gerard
Tell me what something happened?
Mercedes Northup
Wait, wait, can you remind me? Wait, why am I blinking, please? No, actually, you mean.
Charity
I think. Was it not before the hot tub or was it after? I thought it was before where someone came in your room.
Mercedes Northup
Oh, that was after.
Charity
Oh, yikes. Okay.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah, yeah.
Charity
So you wanted more. That's all right.
Mercedes Northup
The hot tub is where everything starts with me.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay, let's talk about the hot tub.
Charity
Yeah, we'll get there. Why not?
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
When I heard Jess tell me about the hot tub, I said, no, this isn't my baby. Jess making out with two people at the same time.
Charity
It was actually so wild because Mercedes
Jessica Gerard
made out with two people at the same time.
Charity
Yeah, Mercedes had the. Mercedes had the three way kiss.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay, I thought just you were not in that. You kissed just Meredith,
Mercedes Northup
which is crazy.
Jessica Gerard
I will explain that in a second. But Mercedes, you can continue.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah, no, that's right.
Charity
I said I'm.
Mercedes Northup
I know. Watching that back. I'm like, dang, you. You knew what was going on. And then like, still. Because it was a dare. Right?
Jessica Gerard
No, hold on, let me clarify really quick before Mercedes says that, because I think she got asked to dare. Like she got dare to kiss someone. Like, kiss a girl. I think she had a pic or something like that. I really know. I was like talking to Nick. Like, you can see I wasn't really paying attention. And all I remembered is like her saying me. And I just see Mercedes in the corner being like, she would never do that. Like, and like mocking me. And I go, oh, I was not mocking.
Mercedes Northup
Mocking is crazy. Mocking is crazy. I wasn't mocking you. But I was. But it's not mocking.
Jessica Gerard
But you're like, you were like.
Mercedes Northup
I was like, Jess is not gonna do that. Like, she's no, like she's not gonna kiss a girl.
Jessica Gerard
And Sean, that were like laughing.
Charity
But I think it's. Well, but nonetheless, I still think it's crazy that she chose you.
Mercedes Northup
Yes, that's what I was. She knew I was off that well in the moment.
Jessica Gerard
I didn't know, like, also, like, her and I weren't like, like. I mean, yes, I didn't know about Nick, but, like, her and I did get along really well.
Charity
No, and that's fair, but I'm saying you didn't have the information. She had all information.
Jessica Gerard
She had every.
Charity
Every ounce of it. So it's, like, a little crazy. Just a little bit.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
That is insane. So who else was making out in the hot tub? What didn't we see? Give me all the backstory of this besides what I saw.
Charity
So was it Sean was with, like, Merit? Kind of with Meredith.
Mercedes Northup
Meredith.
Charity
Yeah. In the hot tub.
Jessica Gerard
I think up until that point, he. He was with Hannah. And then I think in the hot tub, that's when it kind of switched over to Meredith.
Charity
Yes. And then Charlie and Ariel were, like, in and out, but they were, like, obviously paired up that night.
Mercedes Northup
Okay.
Charity
Me and Dutton were in full mom and dad mode. I felt like all my kids on vacation. And then, yeah, Jess and Nick. Xavier was kind of just hanging out in the corner. That's what I'm saying. This man was on his best behavior. I was so irritated. Who else am I missing?
Jessica Gerard
Maria.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Was she paired with anyone?
Charity
Maria did not make the hot tub scene.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
She wasn't in the hotel.
Charity
She was not even present.
Jessica Gerard
No, I think she was. She came.
Mercedes Northup
She came down.
Charity
Never came in the hot tub. She came to, like, two seconds, and then she was like, I'm leaving.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah, she had, like, her clothes on. She didn't even put, like, a suit on. She just, like, came and said hi and then left.
Charity
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay. Mercedes.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Elaborate.
Mercedes Northup
This is. This is where I was at. Okay. Again, no drink limit. So, like, we're all, like, you know, feeling good, whatever.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
You guys are on vacation.
Charity
Hello.
Mercedes Northup
No, truly, like, it was.
Jessica Gerard
That's exactly what it was.
Mercedes Northup
It was a full vacation. So anyways, I'm, like, in the corner of the hot tub because I'm, like, not really connected with anyone, whatever. And I'm, like, looking around and everyone is booed up. And I'm like, well, what the heck? Like, I need to be booed up. And the only one left was Marciano. So I'm like, well, I guess we're logged in tonight.
Charity
Which is insane to me because I was like, mercedes usually has Marciano free will, but she also has.
Trashy Advertiser
Okay.
Jessica Gerard
But also, like, Sam was trying to pursue Maria as well. So, like, that's, like. That is also. Marciano was really the only, like, only Available guy, But, like, he also was actively pursuing. He locked eyes on Mercedes from the
Charity
start, but I think Mercedes was just obviously a little hesitant at first. And then, like, at that point it was like, well,
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
so explain what happened.
Mercedes Northup
I don't even know. Okay. So we were on the hot tub, and then we were playing truth or dare. And I feel like that's when everything got, like, crazy is when we started playing that game. But I think someone asked me, they were like, okay, like, if you had to make out with anyone in here, who would you choose? And obviously I'm not gonna say, like. Like, everyone was taken. You know what I'm saying? So I was like, marcia giving paradise all over again.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Everyone's taken.
Mercedes Northup
Like, no one take it literally. So, yeah, then we. Yeah, just had had the rest of the night and we were just, like, together. Not. It wasn't like. I wouldn't say we were, like, locked in on each other, though. Like. Like, for me personally, it was just, like, fun.
Charity
Yeah.
Mercedes Northup
Because everyone else was, like, having fun,
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
you know, and he showed up, but
Charity
you can tell that he was very, like, pretty adamant about, like, trying to, like, yeah. You know, make, you know, make something happen with Mercedes.
Mercedes Northup
For sure. I know, but then watching it. I know. But then once you get back, like, all the drama with him and Hannah, I'm like, oh, my gosh. Like, I don't know. It was all insane.
Charity
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I feel like that's like a trauma bond of sorts. We're not seeing the.
Charity
Definitely not.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
And I think there's more, like, emotional than it is, like, a relationship looking for sure.

downtown and tell a receptionist I'm here to talk about my Downtown. Some things you'd rather type then say out loud. There's no question too embarrassing for Amazon Health. AI chat your symptoms and get virtual care 24.
Jessica Gerard
7 Healthcare just got less painful.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
So that night, what else happened
Charity
last night? No, Hot tub was not the last night.
Mercedes Northup
No.
Charity
Yeah. John B. And Alyssa. I don't really. I. I feel like. Did they, like, stay till the end? Because I'm like. They started off. What I felt like was like, oh, they slept together. Did I miss that?
Jessica Gerard
They had a sleepover. I don't know what they did.
Charity
Mercy.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I thought she said.
Jessica Gerard
Well, he, like, he denied, like, and anything happens, but I don't know.
Charity
Yeah, okay.
Mercedes Northup
There's also. Yeah, I mean, they should.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I'm just saying as a viewer. They were in the. I saw the lights go off. Listen, Full fantasy, sweet effect.
Charity
Leave it up for interpretation. Okay. Well, yeah, I feel like they started off with outside looking in. Start off really strong, but then by the end, I was like. I don't know if he, like, really likes her or unless they had, like, a conversation maybe about, like, just where they stand. But, yeah, I think he just was like, It's. It was a moment for him. I think that's where his head was at. Truly.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay.
Charity
Because I'm like. I feel like as much as at least how he is vocal about, like, what he's looking for. Like, I was like, I don't know if that's. That's not in a bad way. Like, nothing's wrong with her, but I'm like, I don't know if that's what. How he describes, like, what he's looking for in a girl. Like that. That was it.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Right.
Charity
You know what I mean?
Mercedes Northup
I think I also asked him. I'm like, well, how do you feel? And he's like, I mean, we live in different cities, so I think he was like, also just like. It was, you know, for the plot, basically. You know.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay, what do we need to touch on the next day?
Charity
I'm trying to think.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I thought, there's only two nights.
Charity
No, there was three. Okay.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I think.
Charity
Yeah. We had the little. Oh, my God. Can we talk about it? The Bridgerton party.
Mercedes Northup
Oh, so cute.
Charity
It was literally like I cried the whole night.
Jessica Gerard
So you guys were there at the
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
same time as the really handsome chef that they brought on?
Charity
I forget.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Or was he, like, he a baker?
Charity
Oh, Sandro. Sandro. Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
And no one paired up with him?
Charity
No. So Sandro, he was on the. Is it the greatest. The greatest baker, whatever. It's like an Insane baking competition. He's amazing. And so he did dot and's birthday cake. And like, all these little fun little pastries were so good. They were so good.
Mercedes Northup
They were so good.
Charity
So good. And there was one that was like. It was like, almost like. I don't know if it was like espresso, it was like, boozy. But I'm like, I took one bite and I was like, I'm.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Oh, my gosh. How was the Bridgerton party?
Charity
Oh, it was beautiful. Except at the beginning, I'm like, this didn't make air. But there's a part. Can we talk about it?
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
No.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah, yeah.
Charity
Okay. Surely there's a part. So I don't know if you remember when we were all walking out. It was like the close up shots of us, like, seeing the reveal. So you see all of our reactions.
Mercedes Northup
We're like, they were crazy.
Charity
God. But it was, like, very extreme because
Jessica Gerard
the reactions were, like, scary.
Charity
There's like little shooters, like, fire things that were going, going up, but it ended up catching the pot on fire, the flowers on fire. So it was like this big thing. And so that's what our reactions were to. We were like, there was fire happening.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
And they used your reaction like you
Charity
were reacting to the kitty because Mercedes was so funny.
Mercedes Northup
I was like, my mouth, my jaw was on the floor because it was like flames. And I was like, oh, my gosh, we need to evacuate.
Charity
No, it was insane. So, like, watching it back, like, literally seeing all of our faces, we were like, oh, that's when that happened. Oh, there was no way. I would, I mean, keep in mind the party, like, they did a spectacular job. It was so beautiful. But, like, our reactions in that moment was so extreme.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
See, I would never know because on the Bachelor, we could walk into a room and we act like it's the first time we've ever seen a room. So I, you know, the reactions are always over the top.
Charity
I will say, like, on an event side, like, they really did, like, for every single dinner and like, yeah. Night. They went above and beyond. It was, like, stunning. I was like, oh, so can you guys do my wedding?
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
No. Literally.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah.
Charity
I'm like, I need to hire. Is it Gabby? She was like, the events. One of the events. I'm like, I need to hire.
Mercedes Northup
Yes.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Oh, my gosh. Okay, so let's. Before we play a little game.
Charity
Okay. Yeah. We are playing a little gaming game.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Well, we have to talk about the running and the kissing. The most bachelor thing that ever happened on another show.
Charity
Okay.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Yeah, Talk to me. About how that came to be.
Jessica Gerard
Well, I mean, I think Nick and I, like, we had such a good friendship, so. And a good bond throughout the whole time. So I just feel like it was, like, really sad. Like, we had breakfast, and then it literally was like, you left right away. Like, the goodbyes outside, that's. That's how quick they were.
Charity
Yeah.
Jessica Gerard
So I just wanted to have, like, a little bit more time with him, just because it's like, they had two more weeks of filming. No phones. I wasn't gonna, like, hear from him. And we did a really good time together. So, yeah, it was definitely like, my. No one knew that it was happening. I don't think Charity knew. Like, no one knew besides Mercedes, because I told her, like, right when we were walking in the car that I wanted to say bye to him. And, yeah, it was, like, really sweet. I, like, blacked out. I didn't even see Charlie running to kiss Ariel, nor did Ariel know that that was happening, but I thought it was really sweet. And I just remember thinking, like, it was, like, one of the most, like, romantic things ever, just because it was, like, so, like. I mean, it felt very bachelor, you know, it was, like a bachelor moment. I never knew.
Charity
It really was.
Mercedes Northup
It was cute. It was cute.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
I. Who do. I thought it was so romantic.
Jessica Gerard
It was. Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Charlie running. It was giving. Bachelor.
Charity
No, I was like. I was gagged when she told me. I was like. And I missed this.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
The notebook. Really?
Jessica Gerard
Yeah.
Mercedes Northup
And then when he. When he closed the door, he, like, looked at all of us, and he's like, take care of my bride.
Charity
So I'm like, actually diabolical.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
The thing is, you can't say that to Bachelor contestants. You can't say, I'm taking you home to meet your mom because we're gonna go home.
Charity
Especially, like, I mean, you got to know Jess, so you know, that. That would like that, you know, for her. I'm like, oh.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
He's like, I'm coming to meet Elvis. She goes, all right, so we're married. Like, you can't bring those things.
Mercedes Northup
Okay.
Jessica Gerard
Sorry.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Charity
Okay, so we're gonna play a game where you guys have to tell us whether it's love bombing or actual love, which I feel like I'm pretty good at this, so I'm gonna.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Like, I'm not. So I'm very interested.
Charity
Why do you all just say collectively, I'm not good at this? Like, we have work to do, ladies.
Jessica Gerard
Like, you can love bomb, but just stay, like, then it's fine.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
You know, I'm With Jessica.
Charity
Honestly, I love a good love bomb.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay. This would work on me. They say they've never felt this way about anyone before on date two.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah, I was fine.
Mercedes Northup
I mean, it's definitely love bombing, but, like, I would eat it up, you
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
know, and I would believe it because. Yeah, you haven't. You never met me before.
Charity
I've been.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah.
Charity
We're one of a kind.
Jessica Gerard
Like, you know. No. No person's the same.
Charity
Because I'm like, guard up. I'm like, now I'm scared of. I mean, like, yeah, I see maybe the intention, but I'm like, don't tell me that right now, because now I'm gonna be, like, scared that, you know, like, my head just goes the wrong place. But okay. I think it's love bombing.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
That's why she has the Neil Lane. Okay. They want to hang out every single day.
Charity
I don't mind it. Maybe not every day, but, like.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Charity
Yeah. Like, too available.
Jessica Gerard
But, like, I do love quality time. But I think every day would be a lot. Maybe, like, a couple times a week be probably better in the beginning.
Charity
Like, it's hard. I live with my man. But, yes, I guess dating. So. Yes.
Jessica Gerard
If you're dating, that's different. I'm thinking, like, we're first dates.
Charity
Oh, yeah. Then that's a lot too much. Yeah, that's way too much.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Okay. They delete their dating apps after our second date.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah. As they should. Like, I. I think it shows intentionality. Yeah, I agree.
Jessica Gerard
I agree. I also think it's like. Like, you know, I don't really believe in, like, talking to multiple people at the same time.
Charity
Come on, now.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah, but also, if I wasn't super into the guy and he did that, I think it would give me the ick.
Charity
Very valid.
Mercedes Northup
You know what I'm saying? Like, I have to really be into him to think it was, like, good. But if I wasn't, I'd be like, oh, why'd you do that?
Charity
Yeah. You guys need to be on the same page about.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Charity
Like, where it's headed for sure. Okay. They say they miss me even if we saw each other that morning.
Mercedes Northup
Love that.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah, I like that, too.
Charity
Yeah, I know. I was like, just don't you be
Mercedes Northup
acting cute right now.
Jessica Gerard
I mean, words of affirmation, like, that's my love language. So I'm like, I love to hear it.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Speaking of words of affirmation, they say, I can't stop thinking about you.
Jessica Gerard
Love it.
Mercedes Northup
Love that.
Jessica Gerard
Yeah.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
You're against.
Jessica Gerard
What else are they Thinking about. No, no, no.
Charity
It's.
Jessica Gerard
That's.
Charity
No, I. Yeah, that's. That's sweet. Okay. Yes, yes, yes.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
They want to FaceTime every night before bed.
Charity
No, you're left out one word.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Immediately before bed. Immediately. What does that mean?
Charity
I don't know. Are they demanding, like, answer the phone? That's psychotic.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah. I don't like that.
Jessica Gerard
No. Yeah, I think that one might be love bombing. I mean, I love, like, I love FaceTimes and calling, but every single night gets. It's like, I think, especially in the beginning. Long distance, maybe? I guess.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah.
Charity
Okay.
Jessica Gerard
Not every night.
Charity
Okay. So the next one, they booked a vacation for us without asking me first.
Jessica Gerard
I'm like.
Mercedes Northup
I'm like, no, that's what I'm saying. I'm like, vacation. Yeah. I don't think it's love bombing if it's not in, like, a. If you've, like, shown them that you're interested. Like, if someone was like, hey, let's go to Miami for a couple days and, like, lay on the beach, I'd be like, okay. Yeah, Like, I would. Like, I would eat that up.
Charity
Right?
Jessica Gerard
Yeah, I think so, too. I think, like, if. If they know that I'm free that weekend and they were surprising me with something, like, I think one or two nights is a cute and, like, sweet gesture, especially if that person's like, love language is like. But I'd be like, axel, there's a big gift.
Charity
Like, acts of service or gift giving. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jessica Gerard
Okay.
Charity
Cute.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
We have one more. I kind of like the last one.
Charity
Okay.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
They say I can see myself marrying you very early,
Charity
actually. Why am I grinding my teeth? I'm like, that's. That's my situation.
Mercedes Northup
That's our movie. I don't think. I don't know. What do you think, Jess?
Jessica Gerard
That's like.
Mercedes Northup
That's a. That's a bold statement.
Jessica Gerard
I mean, I think it depends. Like, I. I don't. I don't, like, think it's weird if people. Like, if two people meet and they hit off so well and, like, within a year, like, they're doing, like, next steps. I mean, a lot of my friends are engaged, have kids. Like, we're only getting older. So, like, I would. Don't think I want to be in a relationship for, like, five years and then get married. But I think it always comes back to, like, if you're saying these things, it's because you mean it and you're planning on sticking around. So I think if you have the intentions of, like, committing and choosing me every day, then you can say whatever you want. Babe.
Charity
Come on now. Honestly, I agree.
Mercedes Northup
Yeah, I agree.
Charity
I can't disagree with that one.
Host (Bachelor Happy Hour)
Well this has been so fun for me, especially getting all the behind the scenes tea. I love you guys so much. Thank you for stopping by. I know it's been an exhausting weekend.
Jessica Gerard

Charity
