Hello, everyone, and welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hour. We are recording this on April 2nd at 12:10 PT. And we are back today with two more incredible guys. So let's not keep you waiting any further and let's get right into it.
Rachel
All right, Rachel. We have another guest with us today, 28 year old sales manager from Provo, Utah. Everybody welcome Josh to Bachelor Happy Hour. Hi, Josh.
Josh Harward
Hey, guys. Super excited to be here. You guys are awesome.
Rachel
Josh, we love the New York hat. Sorry I had to throw that in there. Really quick period.
Josh Harward
It's always looking clean, you know, it just fits the fit and it just looks good. That's what I'm trying to go for. Simple, you know.
Charity
We are, yes, so excited to have you here. We're going to talk all the things today, but first of all, how are you feeling?
Josh Harward
I am always in a mix of emotions. You know, lots of great women in my life. My mom runs my whole life and I love her to pieces. God's super good and there's just too many blessings, honestly, that, that to put them all together, it's overwhelming, it's stressful, but in so many good ways. So lots of good.
Rachel
Yeah.
Charity
Glad you're keeping in good spirits. It's definitely a crazy time not really knowing what's happening right now, but let's get into your journey and how you came to find the Bachelorette.
Josh Harward
Yeah, it's. It was a fun time coming around. You know, I actually applied for the show as a fan four years ago.
Charity
I applied too. Oh, my gosh. Four years ago.
Josh Harward
Yeah.
Rachel
It was just a baby, though.
Charity
Oh, my God. 24.
Rachel
Yeah. You are young.
Josh Harward
This is a little baby. And I was looking. I had always seen the show. I was like, wow. Like, I want to. I would love to be on that one day and find love and show people that it's. It's possible and that it's real. And so I applied. I was able to go out to la. It was so cool. And they were like, hey, not the right time. Talk to us again in the future. And Fast forward to 2025. And one of my friends saw that Taylor was gonna be on the Bachelorette and they sent in the application being like, this is the best dude ever. And I got a phone call, which led to me being on the show. And it just was. Oh, man, it was. It was quite the journey and definitely something that. I've seen it from a young age and I've always loved it. Always loved the show.
Rachel
Yeah. Well, speaking of Taylor, did you know that she was going to be the Bachelorette before? Or was that confirmed as you were going through the casting process?
Josh Harward
It was. I think it was right before she was announced. And I saw it, and I was like, whoa, that's surreal. And I think within a day or two, hey, Josh, I know you know her. Do you want to have a conversation? And I was like, let's do this, please.
Rachel
Okay. You have to now expand on that because I guess I, like, you guys are run in similar circles. Like, I don't know, family, friends. How does. How does that work? Like, tell us.
Josh Harward
I don't know. I think we should just tease it a little longer, hold it out on everyone. No, but.
Charity
No, we got it now.
Josh Harward
Oh, man, it. We go way back. I actually grew up with Taylor's family. I went to school with them, played sports with some of her cousins. We've been in contact for. Oh, man, it's been almost not 20 years, but like 15 plus.
Charity
Like, childhood friends.
Josh Harward
Yes, yes.
Charity
Oh, my gosh.
Josh Harward
High school and schools. I've, like, her mom has driven me to some of their family parties. Like, we have, like, you've been in her mom's car? I have been in her mom's car.
Charity
Whoa, wait, so you guys went to high school together? That's how you know her?
Josh Harward
We did go. I think we ended up going to different high schools because I think she and her family ended up moving closer to when she was finishing high school. And we've got a little bit of an age gap, but I was really good friends with her younger sister and her cousins, so we definitely swim in the same circles. But, I mean, she had a kid and was married at first, and so our circles got a little bit bigger, so we were still intertwined, followed each other, swiped up on the stories every once in a while kind of stuff, but never had an opportunity to really pursue anything until now.
Charity
Wow, this is crazy. So did you hang out with her sister and cousin more? I'm so curious. I love the drama.
Josh Harward
Oh, it's. My life is full of it, so I don't know.
Charity
Tell me all about it.
Rachel
Yeah. We're here. This is the moment to spill.
Josh Harward
All right, well, if we come in close, we listen about this one. There's rumors that float around, and I'll put those to ease. I've never been engaged to or married her younger sister, Aspen, but engaged to her?
Charity
Married?
Conrad Eucropina
Never.
Josh Harward
That was never anywhere close to the.
Charity
Was that on the table?
Josh Harward
That. That. No, was not we were both. We were boyfriend and girlfriend, me and your youngest sister.
Rachel
Okay. You guys did date. Okay.
Josh Harward
For, I think, two whole days.
Rachel
Oh, okay. So not really was this in grade school?
Josh Harward
Not at all. Yeah, we were sixth graders. I think we were 12 years old.
Rachel
Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
Josh Harward
Little kids. We passed a little note to each other. Will you be my girlfriend? Will you be my girlfriend?
Charity
Circle. Yes or no?
Josh Harward
Yes or no?
Rachel
I can't.
Josh Harward
And that's the history made itself. So we just stayed best friends forever. And that was. That was pretty much the extent of it. It wasn't anything anywhere drastic, but really good friends always support each other. Over the years, through her growth on, like, Taylor's growth on TikTok. I mean, during COVID We talked a lot during that time because she was jumping in the mix of TikTok, and I helped a lot of people kind of catch some steam there. And so she was asking for tips and tricks, and we connected. We made some fun little fake pregnancy videos on there to just, you know, catch the public's eye. And then we. It was great, you know.
Charity
Wait, you and Taylor made TikToks about her being pregnant or you and Aspen?
Rachel
You and Aspen, Me and.
Josh Harward
Me and Taylor. Oh, yeah.
Rachel
Lore is so deep, so I have no idea.
Charity
Wait, so you and Taylor were already making TikToks before you stepped into the Mansion?
Josh Harward
Yes. Yeah, we were, like, duetting each other's TikToks. We were like. Oh. We had been talking a lot. So prior to the Mansion, tons of story swipes, tons of Instagram conversations about her kids and her family and how she was doing her spiritual growth that she's had. I feel like she's. She's girl's gone through a lot, and. Yeah, I mean, teach of us. I mean, we all do. Life's not easy. And so we were able to connect on a lot of different things that were just subtle and simple over the years. And, you know, I'm definitely someone of integrity, and I knew that for a while there. She was married to a really great guy, and so there was no intent or anything like that and that application of pursuance. But when the door was opened and she was open to it, that's where opportunity had the opportunity to strike. And here we are.
Rachel
Amazing.
Charity
This is crazy.
Josh Harward
Oh, the lore is just beginning.
Rachel
Oh, my gosh. I know. I'm like.
Charity
Because I have another question.
Rachel
We're barely brushing the surface right now.
Charity
Josh, did you reach out to Aspen when you figured out that you got casted on Taylor season?
Josh Harward
You know, I didn't reach out to Aspen, but I did reach out to one of her other cousins that I'm, like, really close to, that I always played basketball with. And he was like, dude, do you know that that's my cousin? And I was like, yeah, dude. And he was like, oh. He's like, oh, wait, wait. So, like, you have serious intent. And I was like, 100. And he was like, oh, sweet, dude. He's like, okay, I fully support it. And so it was nice to have the. The blessing there. It was nice to know that her mom's loved me in the past. And so it was like, you know what? This could be. This could be really good. So I'm excited for what the chance is here. So.
Charity
Oh, my gosh. Did you feel like going in that you were at an advantage in a way that you already kind of knew
Rachel
her and, like, did the guys kind of, like, pick up on that, like, without giving us too much?
Josh Harward
I definitely went into the mansion 100% being like, I have an advantage. I know it. I don't care if I'm the bad guy, because I'm. I'm here for Taylor. And there's no other intent. She has gone through it. And more than any other guy here, I had seen her family, her friends, her journey through years and years and years of friendship. What a better place to start a lifelong happy relationship where we could finally actually meet in person, get to know each other and see if we had that chemistry. And, I mean, clearly I had it with her family and her friends, and things were great that way, so how much easier of a start to a relationship can you get? And just already being a best friend with someone, I mean, that's. That's the dream.
Charity
That's the foundation for sure.
Rachel
Did any of the other guys in the house, like, sense that you and Taylor had, like, some history, or did you, like, talk about it openly or they, like, picked up on it? Like, how was that dynamic?
Josh Harward
They picked up on it because I wasn't afraid even be open about it to share on it.
Rachel
Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Charity
You told them.
Josh Harward
I mean, just, you know, it was an opportunity to be like, hey, you guys can hate me all you want because your guys's feelings can get all the mix you need because I just am here for Taylor.
Rachel
You didn't care.
Josh Harward
The more I can talk about her and the more that I can, like, let her talk for herself and have that chemistry. I didn't care what look about anyone else, dude, those guys are my friends forever. I love them. And Those dudes are so cool. Seriously incredible group of guys. But at the same time, I had no fear in being able to say, oh, yeah, like, she's from Utah, and yeah, she's a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints. Oh, what is that? Oh, I. I'm one myself. I can tell you about it. And it was really easy to just, you know what? I grew up with her family and her friends, and yeah, I can tell you a little bit better. I think some of the guys, it's. I thought it was such a cool opportunity, regardless of whether I grew up in Utah around Taylor or not to know who I had the chance of pursuing prior. How cool is it that I could. Let me look them up. Let me see what they're posting. What? My. My brother has this nine. He calls it the nine squares rule, where when you Instagram and you look at those first nine squares, that's enough to tell you about someone.
Rachel
And, oh, wow, I've never heard of this. Let me go back.
Charity
I'm looking at mine.
Josh Harward
And so he pulled up Taylor's. We did it in that moment. We pulled it up and the pictures were about Jesus Christ. They were about her kids. They were about her growth and her struggles, but also her platform and what she was trying to do. And he was like, that's exactly what you want to see. And I was like, awesome. And so, I mean, my older brother is like. He is like my father figure in my life. So to get his blessing on that with that nine square rule, I was like, let's send this. Let's go. But yeah, definitely. I mean, just in regards to your question about the guys in the house, I had no fear in letting him know that I definitely had an upper hand and we already had a bond that was going to, like, be. Be pretty cool to battle against the other guys on just me and Taylor.
Rachel
You know, I feel like I. I would, like. I don't know how I would personally take it as a contestant. I would probably be like, I would see you. It's like, did the guy see you as a threat? Like, you know, it's like you put the target on advantage. But, like, did you ever think of, like, oh, the guy. Like, obviously you did not care because she was like, anyway. But I feel like, you know, most people are probably also conscious of, like, oh, how am I going to be perceived after, like, sharing this big. Because that's like, that's like big in Bachelor role, like, knowing the lead before or having some sort of history. That's like, significant.
Josh Harward
No, I definitely had guys that were, like, not enough, enough, enough, enough. Like, I. I don't want to hear Taylor from you. I want to get to know Taylor myself. And I mean, that's. That's totally fine. But, you know.
Rachel
Yeah, Josh said. Yeah.
Charity
Because it said that you are a fan of the show. So historically, when people come in and there's a bit of a. Sometimes it might not be a great thing for them. Were you conscious of that at all?
Josh Harward
You know, I feel like when you're just, like, in it for the right reasons and when you really care about someone, especially in this moment where there's so much new and such a. Such a really cool environment to be able to have so much romance all in one. The blinders are on. And I don't. I. If there's a target on my back, so be it, you know? But if it's meant to be, I'm. I'm here for my Disney princess. I'm here for my Disney.
Rachel
Was locked in. Josh is locked in.
Charity
Josh said, I'm pulling up. I'm sweeping her off her feet, and you guys.
Rachel
See you later, fellas. See you later.
Charity
Oh, my God, this is so crazy. Yeah, sure.
Rachel
You guys do. I do want to ask. No, say, like, there's so much happening, but you mentioned a lot, and, you know, in the previous questions, you just answered a lot about faith, and so I'm curious, like, how important that is in regards to your relationship. How was that with, you know, navigating the Bachelorette and Taylor? Did that come up a lot, like, conversations about faith?
Josh Harward
You don't share too much? Yeah, my faith is super important to me, and that's all on Jesus Christ. Like, I just don't think that there's any point to life besides just being grateful for him each and every day. I am by no means perfect. I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints or Mormon. There's a lot of different nicknames. I am by no means a perfect member or representation of the church at all, but I do strive to be a good, faithful member of the church or just someone that follows Jesus Christ. That's what I care the most about. And so I'm not great at reading my scriptures every day, but I darn toot and keep trying. I'm not great at remembering to always say my prayers, but at the same time, someone like Taylor was a really angelic reminder to get on my knees and thank heavenly Father and God for just a really cool opportunity. And it's so, so impactful to my life. I have had so many things that I've gone through. I've watched my mom go through a lot. I've watched family members and friends. Heck, Taylor's gone through a lot. And it's just the piece of grace and the piece of hope that always keeps everything on the optimistic, happy side of things for me. That even though things might be going wrong, that there's a bigger picture to all of this. And that's that's what keeps me happy and upbeat and always going. There's always wrong. There's always bad. But I'm not here to watch the news and to see all the bad stuff. I'm here to, like, let me hear more.
Rachel
Good.
Josh Harward
Like let's hear and let's find it. And it's really fun to try to strive to find a conversation about God each day with friends or family or a stranger, or to do an act of service or to remember to read my scriptures or pray. Those things are so important to me. I'm not perfect about it, but I love it through and through.
Charity
Yeah, absolutely.
Rachel
In life, breakdowns over breakups are inevitable. You know, it's the same with appliances and home systems. Breakdowns are going to happen, and those breakdowns can be costly. However, you can help protect your budget with an American Home Shield home warranty. AHS offers plans that covers parts of kitchen and laundry, appliances, H Vac, plumbing and electrical systems that will inevitably break down. And when they do, AHS will fix the covered item and if they can't repair it, they'll replace it. Even your oldest appliances and systems are eligible. That's huge because something like your AC that's just limping along could cost thousands to repair or replace without a home warranty. Plus, with select American Home Shield plans, you get the added benefit of video chatting with live repair experts to help with home hassles over the phone. So leave the drama for relationships and get help protecting appliances and home systems with American Home Shield. And right now you can get 20% off. it's beautiful to hear you talking about your faith. Dating in Utah. What was that like? Do you normally date within your church or how have you dated in the past?
Josh Harward
Well, I don't know how much most folks know about Utah, but I've got to say I know it's not completely members of the church here, but it feels like it. So dating here is definitely. It's just you could. You can close your eyes and throw a pin and you for sure be dating a member of the church. Like you just. That just is what it is. But I've had my fair share of I've had some of the most Christian and wholesome relationships with people that are long distance. Like this girl I dated in Colorado years back was not a member of the church or the same faith, but she was Christian. And oh my gosh, we had probably one of the most Christian and wholesome relationships I've ever been in. And so dating here can feel like I feel like being someone that lives in thoroughly is just like my bread and butter is being here in Utah. Dating here is its own unique thing and it's got its nuances of, like, there's a lot more hypocrisy, I'd say, within the church because it's easy to see and judge members of like, oh, you're doing this right. You're not doing this right. And it's my way or the highway. There's a lot of that. But at the same time, it is a really cool culture being around so many members of the church that share similar values. Like, we don't have, like, most stores are closed on Sundays. Or we don't have, like, drive through places where you can pick up alcohol. Like, when I lived in Ohio, that was very normal. Like, you could drive through and just pick up alcohol or cigarettes. Here, everyone picks up their Diet Coke and their Diet Swig.
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah, I know.
Charity
Dirty Dr. Pepper. Yes.
Josh Harward
And so you got your drive through soda bars. I mean, we even have one here at my work.
Rachel
And so what's your swig order?
Charity
I was gonna ask.
Josh Harward
Texas Tab. Easy answer.
Rachel
What is it? Tell me what that is. Okay. Dr. Pepper. What's in it?
Josh Harward
I'm gonna. Don't embarrass me. But, like, I don't even know what's in it. It's just.
Rachel
Okay, that's just.
Josh Harward
All I know is it's. You go to swig, and I say Texas Tab, they give me this humongous 48 ounces of soda.
Charity
A dream. I want that right now.
Rachel
Oh, Dr. Pepper Coconut Cream. Yeah, that's my thing. Oh, I would love that one. I wish we had a swig. We don't have a swig.
Josh Harward
Can we put it in here? Just.
Conrad Eucropina
I know.
Charity
I wish I had little cups. Okay, well, this has been so good. So crazy. We hope to see more of you and more of your story with Taylor. But before we go, we are going to play a little game. Is that okay with you?
Josh Harward
Ooh, I'm competitive. Are you guys ready for this?
Rachel
Well, it's easy.
Charity
You.
Rachel
Yeah, it's like you. A solo. Solo.
Josh Harward
Okay, so I'm gonna win. So we're good.
Rachel
You're gonna win.
Charity
You're gonna win.
Rachel
You're good. It's called Hot Scenes, and basically it's just like rapid fire prompts just to get us to know your personality. Answer as truthfully as you can. So it's very easy.
Charity
We'll have some fun with that.
Josh Harward
Sounds like some fun. I like this.
Charity
Okay, so, Josh, I'm a little unfiltered,
Josh Harward
so this will be pretty fun.
Charity
No, that's great.
Rachel
That's what we want. Yeah.
Charity
You casually mentioned dating Your stepsister. What is the full story on that?
Josh Harward
Dated her prior to her being my stepsister, luckily. And then when my parents got divorced, my dad invited me to a surprise dinner where he said, hey, guess what? I'm engaged. I'm gonna get married to the mother of your ex girlfriend.
Rachel
Insane. You know what that gives? It's giving Serena and Dan from Gossip Girl. I'm like, you were a lonely boy. You're Dan. You're Dan. Have you seen Gossip Girl? I'm like, you actually are him. Like, you kind of look like him, too. Oh, my. What's going on? That's, like, Serena and Dan. Oh, my God.
Charity
Happened after the relationship. So we're all clear on that Friday. That is crazy.
Josh Harward
We are safe, though.
Charity
In the clear. Oh, wow.
Josh Harward
My stepsister is my ex girlfriend. That is real life.
Charity
Wow. That I can't even see.
Rachel
Began to feel like what you had to, like, process. But I would. I'm. I would still be processed.
Josh Harward
Oh. Oh, no.
Charity
Yeah, it's.
Josh Harward
It's still. It's a daily life. Christmas dinners. Avoid the Christmas dinners. Very awkward.
Charity
Oh, no.
Rachel
That's crazy. Okay, talk to us about being a Disney adult. Any great Disneyland hacks that you want to drop here? I, too, was accused of being a Disney adult.
Charity
I am a Disney adult.
Josh Harward
So honestly, put the Disney ears on. I embrace it at this point. I just. Are you kidding me? Like, Tangled or, like, Belle from, like,
Conrad Eucropina
Beauty and the Beast?
Charity
Like, the box.
Josh Harward
Oh, the. The love stories. Oh, they're so magical, and they are so real. They're so real.
Charity
This is so pure.
Rachel
I know.
Josh Harward
There's such a good balance, and they're so much fun to watch. I love the happy ending. I love that it's just real in the fact that nothing's perfect. But you can have your happy ending if you're willing to communicate and work for it. And I. Oh, my gosh. Hacks at Disneyland. The only hack I can tell you is bring my mom. Holy crap. If you want to be good at
Charity
getting in the short lines.
Josh Harward
Oh, my gosh. Not. It's like, you're gonna make that woman the most happy girl in the whole world. She will jump up on my shoulders. I'll run around the park. She will skip around with me. It is the best thing. Like, so I actually. Her Christmas present was buying her a ticket to Disneyland, so we actually just went a couple weeks ago for her for her Christmas present. So it was seriously. It was so magical. And she can get us on a ride so fast. She knows all the good Food. I'm just a sucker for a good churro.
Charity
So I love Disneyland, and I'm putting on my best go with Josh and his mom because it sounds like you guys have it all figured out.
Josh Harward
Tattoo it on my arm.
Conrad Eucropina
I'll go with you.
Josh Harward
It'll be fun. Ricky.
Conrad Eucropina
I'm dead.
Charity
Okay, well, our last question is, what's your dirty soda order? But we know it's a Texas tab.
Rachel
Yeah.
Charity
You get anything else at swag. Don't they have the little pretzels?
Josh Harward
I was like, you know, they do have pretzels. They do have. They do have cookies. Like, the other day they had a 15 year anniversary, and so they gave out these, like, confetti cake. Cookies.
Charity
Birthday cake.
Rachel
Help me.
Josh Harward
I'm a. I'm a sucker for dessert, so.
Rachel
No, me too.
Josh Harward
Oh, I just Love it. The Dr. Pepper or a half carbonated rock like Red Bull. Oh, I love Red Bulls.
Charity
What's happening?
Rachel
They serve that. What is a half carbonated.
Josh Harward
Oh, that's how they're served. Like Red Bull, only half carbonates. They're. That's like nerd knowledge. This is how bad I am.
Rachel
Okay. Yeah. I was like, clearly, I'm like, I'm. I'm not.
Conrad Eucropina
I'm not knowing something.
Rachel
I'm showing myself. I didn't know that.
Josh Harward
No, but they're so. Oh, I. Red Bulls, they're dangerous. They just need to take the caffeine out, and I'll just drink them all day without the caffeine.
Rachel
I feel like I'm the only one in the world that does not. Like, I don't like Red Bulls. Like, I. I can go without. But, hey, listen, I love that you love them.
Josh Harward
Thank you. Hey, I love that you love that. I love it. So thank you.
Rachel
Yes. There we go.
Charity
Oh, my gosh. Josh, you have been an amazing time. We hope that we get to see more of you. Is there anything else you want to tell Bachelor Nation before we go?
Josh Harward
You know what I would say? Always hold out hope. And God is so good.
Rachel
Yes, he is.
Charity
I love that.
Josh Harward
And you guys are awesome.
Charity
Thank you.
Rachel
Thank you. I know.
Josh Harward
This is seriously a blast.
Charity
You're too.
Rachel
I love that. I know we'll have to have you back because I'm like, It's just. It's never enough time to talk to you guys.
Josh Harward
Hey, you know that means you're having a good time, honestly.
Rachel
Exactly.
Charity
Your lore is very deep.
Rachel
Yeah, absolutely. We must experience it some other time.
Josh Harward
Only touched. Exactly.
Rachel
Okay. Where can our listeners find you on
Charity
socials if they want to look up your TikToks with Taylor.
Rachel
Yeah, Instagram TikToks.
Josh Harward
I'll have to find that one and repost it so everyone can enjoy. Enjoy the lore there. Instagram is Josh Harward. H A R W A R D. It's like Harvard with a W. And other than that, I mean, I have Facebook. I think it's the same thing. I'm not on Snapchat or anything like that. You know, I'm just. I'm a sucker for Instagram and just, just being real, you know, I just, I spend most of my time with my mama and my friends around me, so that's. That's where all my time's usually spent.
Charity
Oh, well, we love it. Thank you so much again for being here, Josh.
Rachel
All right, today's guest on Bachelor Happy hour is 32 year old startup founder from Santa Monica, California. Everybody welcome Conrad. Hello.
Conrad Eucropina
Hi, guys. Hi, Rachel. Hi, Charity. How are you? Thank you for having me.
Rachel
So happy.
Charity
Yes. So excited. We have so many questions, but we've been starting out the podcast, kind of seeing what you guys are feeling. It's been a crazy time. How are you feeling with everything going on right now?
Conrad Eucropina
I'm staying positive, I think. Definitely a little disappointed, I think. Just really excited to have everyone's story get out there. I met a lot of really great guys on the show, made a lot of really great friends, and I think we're all just excited to experience something unique. You know, it's definitely a one of one thing that I've never done anything before in my life. And so, yeah, a little, little disappointed for now, but staying positive, hoping things can come out when the time is right.
Rachel
Yeah, I think that's honestly all you guys can do at this. At this point. Rachel's said it's unprecedented time. So we're just all, you know, doing our best to just kind of stay in that mindset and you guys have done a fantastic job of that. So just want to give you your flowers for that as well. But let's go back to the very beginning because I feel like we need to discuss how you even got to the Bachelor Bachelorette in the first place. So did you apply? Did someone nominate you? Walk us through that.
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah. So I was at a party in LA last summer and I was talking to a gal and she said, wow, you're kind of gregarious and fun. Would you ever want to be on reality tv? And I said, I don't know, I haven't really thought about it, but try everything once, right? And she said, well, I'm actually a casting director for the Bachelor. And I said, okay, well, what single man on earth would say no to that opportunity? So immediately, yes. Where do I sign? Obviously? And so I went through a couple of interviews for that and then got a call in September, and they said, hey, great news. Would you want to potentially be a suitor on the Bachelorette? And I said, of course. You know, I've. I have older brothers, played football for 10 years, was in a fraternity. You know, I love to. To hang with the guys. So said, absolutely. And then literally a couple of weeks later, just happened. Started filming, and honestly, didn't really have a chance to. To think about it, and now here we are.
Charity
Wow, that is a crazy story that you ran into someone at a party. It feels kind of like fate.
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah.
Josh Harward
So you went very L. A. Very L. A.
Rachel
Sorry, I was going to say very
Charity
L. A. I was like, this. This is so classic. So you went in not knowing who the Bachelorette was going to be. When you found out it was Taylor, what were your thoughts? Did you know of her? Have you seen her show?
Conrad Eucropina
So I found out she was the Bachelorette when she went on Alex Cooper's pod, and so I listened to it and had no idea really who she was at the time. I can't say I'm a Secret Lives fan, but of course went on Google and saw how passionate she is, and she is definitely one of one, and I got really excited. I think life's about what you did, not what you didn't. And say yes to opportunity. And so I was really excited when I learned she was the Bachelorette and, yeah, liked her podcast, started learning about her, and then I just. I'm a big planner prepper, so I wanted to make sure going in I was prepared. And so, yeah, I was. I was excited about it.
Rachel
Yeah. What was your dating history like coming into all of this? Was it extensive? Were you, like, on a hiatus? What did that look like?
Charity
The details?
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah, I am. I am a girlfriend guy. I've had a. I have had a partner the majority of my adult life. It actually started in third grade. I sent Kelly I a note, and it said, will you be my girlfriend? And thank God for my ego. She said, yes.
Charity
Lover boy since third grade.
Rachel
Oh, yeah.
Conrad Eucropina
Oh, yeah. Well, so through my whole adult life, I've pretty much always had a girlfriend. And the joke was I would only be single for three months, and then I would go and go and try to find another girlfriend and have dated a lot of really, really great Girls. And in hindsight and through therapy and things, I've definitely learned that the reason is I grew up in a very male environment. I have three older brothers, played football for 10 years, was in a fraternity, went to an all boys high school. And I didn't get a lot of feminine, reassuring energy. I didn't get a lot of good job, Conrad, or, you know, you're doing great, Conrad. And so I think I sought that in a partner. And I think because of that, I really always sought having a relationship. But. But I've been single now for three years leading up to the show, and it's really forced me to spend a lot more time by myself. And, you know, I'll spend like Sundays by myself. I go to church every Sunday and then I'll go and get some food. And it's taught me to really be independent and maybe love myself a little more than I did. So I feel like I'm finally in a place where I'm ready to receive love, which I think is really important.
Charity
Yeah.
Rachel
Let me guess. Is your love language words of affirmation?
Conrad Eucropina
How did you know? I am obsessed with words of affirmation.
Charity
Charity knows all she can, everything.
Conrad Eucropina
All I need Charity to fall in love with someone is they just say, hey, Conrad, you're doing a great job. Oh, and then I'm.
Rachel
In my heart.
Charity
That is.
Rachel
No, I get it. I do get it. So I, I did clock it, but yes.
Josh Harward
Yeah.
Rachel
I feel like people who have words of affirmation, that's also my love language, can we have, like, really like things that we relate to. So I sense the words of reassurance and just being told, you're, you're doing great, you're doing great, sweetheart.
Conrad Eucropina
For the record, you guys are doing great.
Rachel
Oh, perfect.
Charity
Thank you. Thank you so much. Conrad, you mentioned going to church. Is faith something that is really important to you? What are you looking for in a long term partner or wife?
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah, I grew up very Episcopalian. We went to church every Sunday. I was a church camp kid, spending time at the lake, making all my church friends. And faith was really important to me and my family. And I know Taylor grew up Mormon and faith has been an important part of her life and so definitely excited to connect with her on that. And I think we also have some similarities there as well, where I think she's been pretty public that she's had some qualms with the Mormon Church. And you know, for me, Episcopalianism is effectively Catholicism without the Pope. And they take a very literal interpretation of the Bible. And I had some issues with that as I was growing up. And so, you know, I just think everyone's on their own journey. But yeah, faith is really important to me, but I've definitely kind of made it my own. I went to a Jesuit high school in downtown la, and so definitely a big part of who I am and hopefully my future.
Rachel
Yeah. Is that something that you're also wanting your partner to be as strong in as you are? Yeah,
Conrad Eucropina
I think I don't need them to be as strong as I am right now. I think I just need them to be open to it. I think a really big important thing for me and a partner is them being open to different perspectives. Perspectives, different religions, different ideas, different values. You know, I'm not gonna say, hey, future wife, I love you, words of affirmation, and you need to be my religion. It's definitely not that, but more just, hey, are you open to exploring and passionate and willing to go on a journey with me?
Rachel
Right.
Josh Harward
That's beautiful.
Rachel
In life, breakdowns over breakups are inevitable. You know, it's the same with appliances and home systems. Breakdowns are going to happen, and those breakdowns can be costly. However, you can help protect your budget with an American Home Shield home warranty. I just received my order from Dietz and Watson. I am so excited. I got chicken sausages and flavored cheddar cheeses. You know, I'm from New England and I know a genuine New York State cheddar when I see it. They are infused with real ingredients, iconic flavors, and a smooth, creamy finish. I think my favorite one was the champagne cheddar. It just is delicious. And the chicken sausage, they never have antibiotics, no nitrates are added, they're gluten free and they have bold, authentic recipes. Dietz and Watson has been handcrafting premium meats and artisan cheeses for over 85 years. They're family owned and operated and they've never cut corners. Ever. They're transparent about what goes into their food and what doesn't and they know good taste. Good doesn't need a long list of ingredients. Dietz and Watson is simply made. It's as simple as that. Your vehicle doesn't just get you from here to there. It's a bridge to the people and places that matter most. It's how you show up for your family, your community, and everyone else that depends on you. That's why for 125 years, Firestone has been building tires with one thing in to deliver products that are as reliable as you are. Firestone always dependable since 1900.

I want to go back. You talked a little bit about football. We know you went to Stanford. You played football in the NFL. You need to tell us all about this, the journey. We heard you have some pretty incredible highlights.
Conrad Eucropina
You are so kind. Played football for 10 years. Usually I just tell girls I'm on the team because I was a kicker. So, you know, I just say, yeah, I played football. And then I just stopped there. We don't need to go into the semantics of kicker. And they're like, what, quarterback? And I'm like, you know, what position? And I'm like, oh, you know, quarterback. You know, the kicker is a good job.
Rachel
Yeah, that's a lot of pressure.
Conrad Eucropina
I appreciate you guys. Thank you for saying that. But. So my. My journey started. I grew up. I played every sport on planet Earth. Like, you could ask my mom. I was living in our front yard, just playing anything with a ball nonstop. And grew up playing soccer. My dream was to be a quarterback. I loved watching college football with my dad every Sunday. It was our thing. And the quarterback was on the TV the most. So I wanted to be the quarterback, obviously.
Charity
Yeah. Love the attention. See?
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah, logic. And so I went to a big high school in downtown Los Angeles called Loyola High School. It's a big Jesuit school. And I was named the starting quarterback of Loyola's high school's freshman football team. I go home and I'm like, mom, I'm the man. High school is going to be easy for me. And then first game, break my arm in four places.
Charity
Oh, my gosh.
Conrad Eucropina
And so I went from the cool kid to the loser on the sideline
Rachel
with the cast that was an injured.
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah, exactly. And so all I could do during practice was kick. And so I played soccer my whole life. And I discovered a hidden talent that I could just naturally kick the ball far. Ended up making lemonade out of lemons. And Got recruited to Stanford as a kicker, played there for five years, and then spent a year bouncing around five different NFL teams in 2017 and notably was in camp with the Kansas City Chiefs, which was very fun. A teammate of Travis Kelce, I definitely remember who he is. He definitely has no idea who I am at this point. But after that I spent a year trying to make it in the NFL. And it's. It's not very glamorous when you are trying to make it in the NFL, when you're like a borderline player. And basically, I moved to San Francisco after I got cut from the Kansas City Chiefs, and I would work at a VR startup. In my fifth year at Stanford, I wrote a thesis in VR and we would use it to train. It was awesome. And then in the evenings, I'd go to Stanford and I would kick and Rachel and Charity, I would literally like, like kick the ball and then walk and go get it and then walk back and then kick the ball. And I realized, yeah. And I realized, okay, I don't actually really like kicking. I really liked my teammates and being a part of something bigger than myself. And so I think that was the start of me being okay with not being Conrad the kicker and just being Conrad. And that started my journey into consulting. And then I went back to Stanford for business school, went back to consulting, and then now I am a startup guy.
Rachel
I would love to know more about the startup.
Charity
We saw that on your cast bio.
Rachel
Yes. What an amazing company you started.
Josh Harward
Thank you.
Conrad Eucropina
So, yeah, so like I mentioned, spent a lot of time in consulting, worked at McKinsey in San Francisco and then in New York. And I just am an entrepreneur. I love starting things, I love building things. I built my own computer when I was, you know, 12, and I just really like figuring out how things work. And so started a company in men's fertility. The thesis is 50% of infertility comes from men. And actually 90% of miscarriages can now be linked to bad sperm. And so any way you cut it, like, men are not pulling their weight in the fertility journey. And so how we frame it is, look, your partner is going to be carrying your child for nine months. Just give a third of what your partner is going to give. Give us three months. Go on our protocol. Reset your sperm health. Your sperm reset every 74 days. And so that way you're putting in your best effort, you know, best foot forward for a happy, healthy conception. And there's a lot of science that shows your biomarkers right when you conceive are what's passed on to your child. So it's really important to be in optimal health. So I say, you know, eat healthy, don't drink, don't smoke. If you're going to sauna, you know, put some ice down there on the boys, work out, get good sleep, and then supplement. Right. A lot of people aren't getting what they need in their diets.
Charity
Oh, my gosh. I have to say, this probably is the first time we've gone this in depth about sperm on Bachelor Happy Hour. But, I mean, just absolutely the knowledge is amazing to know, because I didn't know any of that.
Rachel
Yeah.
Conrad Eucropina
That's hilarious.
Charity
This something that you're passionate about because you also want a family and children.
Conrad Eucropina
I definitely want a big family. I grew up with three brothers, three other brothers. I'm the youngest of four. I have a lot of cousins and nieces and nephews now, and I FaceTime with my niece Freya every Monday. She's great. My oldest brother's in Amsterdam. Shout out for you. I love you. And I want. I want a really big family. I think that life is about bringing friends and family together. That's why I work hard, why I want to be successful, because I want to be able to provide for, you know, the people that I love.
Rachel
That's very beautiful. Very beautiful. Okay. Speaking of, I guess, kids and families, this is also, I guess, correlates a little bit. But you have been to a lot of weddings. 60 weddings. That's a lot of weddings. Like, I don't even think I have, like, I can't even. Like, a half of that.
Charity
Maybe I don't even know 60 people.
Rachel
I don't think I have half. That's crazy. So tell us about that. And why do you think that you've always been the bridesmaid but never the bride or the groom?
Josh Harward
Yeah.
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah. So this is. This is great. Conrad Lore.
Rachel
Yeah.
Conrad Eucropina
In the last three years, I've been to 60 weddings and Bachelor parties. I have a picture of all the invites to prove it, because I. You know, it's like, there's no way. But I promise it's true. It's my cross to bear, and I. The joke is that I'm Katherine Heigl.
Charity
I was gonna say dresses. Yes.
Rachel
Yeah.
Conrad Eucropina
So the reasoning is, you know, Covid happened, business school happened, and so Covid pushed back some weddings. Right. And then business school, you're either breaking up or you're getting married. So had a lot of. Just. That's what it is. And so I had a Lot of post business school weddings. And then I also think I'm an easy invite. I've been single for three years. I'm gonna be on the dance floor until midnight or until you drag me off.
Charity
I love.
Conrad Eucropina
You know, I'm gonna show up. I really. It's really important to me to show up for my friends.
Charity
And.
Conrad Eucropina
And the other thing on the bachelor party front is I am a huge planner. I plan my day, plan my week, plan my month, plan my year, and I will also plan the bachelor party. And dudes, they don't want to be the ones getting the Airbnb, you know, in Austin, Texas, or in Cabo. They just want to be the ones, hey, who do I Venmo, and what time do I show up?
Rachel
Exactly?
Conrad Eucropina
So I take a lot of that pressure and logistics. And so I think because of that, I'm an easy invite.
Charity
Oh, my gosh. I have to know, because when we were talking about this earlier, you have been to Stagecoach and Coachella, how many times?
Conrad Eucropina
I've been to stagecoach 12 times. I've been to Coachella four times.
Charity
How have you gone that many times? I went one time and I was like, okay, I saw, and I never have to go back. Do you love the music scene? Where's the lore with that?
Conrad Eucropina
Oh, there's great lore there. So it started in high school. I grew up in Pasadena, and we started going when I was in high school and then in college, had a lot of great friends, and we. With football, it just always worked in. It's always last weekend of April. It always worked that we could go. And I love country music more. Conrad Lore. My cousin owns and operates a traveling rodeo called the Flying Rodeo. And so there's some country. Yeah, there's some country in this Pasadena boy. And I've just. I've always loved country music, and it just kind of kept going and going and definitely, obviously, attending this year, I
Charity
was gonna say, are you going?
Conrad Eucropina
You guys gotta come. I'm a local at this point.
Rachel
I know I'll be there. I will be there.
Charity
Parody will be there. I'll be there in spirit.
Conrad Eucropina
We'll FaceTime you in Rachel.
Charity
Yes. I love getting to the bottom of this war.
Conrad Eucropina
I love it.
Rachel
We'll get one of the boots on the ground.
Conrad Eucropina
I need to live stream it. We'll live stream it, Rachel. We'll get one of those robots where, like, they have wheels, and then you're on the picture screen and we'll just have you roll around.
Charity
Perfect. I'll roll around in the dirt. Hopefully in vip. Fingers crossed. Charity. That's where you are.
Rachel
You're insane for that. You're insane. Roll around the dirt. Vip.
Conrad Eucropina
Bye. Peace.
Rachel
But, yes, I will be a stage coach. It's super fun. So I'm. I can see why you love going.
Charity
Yes.
Rachel
I just don't know if I could ever go 12 times. But hats off to you, because you might be holding a record at this point. Honestly. Oh, my goodness.
Charity
Craziness. I want to go back to night one. Walk us through how you were feeling getting out of the limo. What were the emotions?
Conrad Eucropina
Night one, Getting out of limo is the most nervous I've ever been in my life. And that is saying something, because I played football for 10 years, and, yeah, I played in three Rose Bowls. I'm from Pasadena. Like, my dad had 200 tickets to the Rose bowl game my senior year. I threw up before the game, and there's just nothing that compares to this experience. Getting out of the limo. And I remember I'm rolling up, and I get out and, like, all right, I got to be cool, but I
Josh Harward
can't be too cool.
Conrad Eucropina
You know, I got to be normal, but I can't be boring. And also, make sure you don't fall down when you're walking up to her. And I don't want to give anything away, but my entrance definitely was a hat tip to these 60 weddings and Bachelor parties. So I had some props with me that I had to manage, and there was a lot going on, but I think it's safe to say most nervous I've ever been in my life. Pretty much blacked out my entire conversation with Taylor. I remember that I said I thought she was stunning, which she was.
Rachel
That's good.
Conrad Eucropina
I had this whole speech memorized. I just, like, got through it and then did our little surprise that I had. And then afterwards, it was just like, okay, I'm still alive.
Charity
Did you at least remember your name? Because I remember some guys forgot. It seems like the most important thing, but it's so overwhelming.
Rachel
It's. It's really amazing how that happens.
Charity
Yeah.
Conrad Eucropina
I actually said, you know, hey, Taylor, I'm Conrad. And right away, she said, oh, have you seen the summer I've turned pretty Connie, baby.
Charity
You know, that would have been a good entrance.
Rachel
I was gonna say.
Conrad Eucropina
Yeah, yeah, that was. That was definitely floated out there. But I really think you guys will like my entrance, I hope.
Rachel
Oh, my God.
Charity
Amazing. Genuinely.
Rachel
And how was the dynamic with the guys? Like, obviously, from the talks, it seems like you guys are all very close. And so once you guys got into the house, or once you got into the house, did you kind of sense that feeling like, oh, like, I'm gonna like it here?
Conrad Eucropina
The guys are awesome. Just such a great group of guys. So genuine, so thoughtful, and definitely guys that I will be friends with for the rest of my life. And after. So, you know, you get out of the limo, you meet Taylor, and then you're walking in, and then now there's 20 plus guys in a room. You know, they're all judging you because you're the competition.
Josh Harward
Yeah.
Conrad Eucropina
They're just meeting you for the first time. And I roll in with, again, not to give anything away, but something that alludes to weddings. And all the guys, right away, they just go, oh, you know, looks like Taylor's already married. We don't even need to have the show. Like, this guy's got it on lock, you know, Here. Here we go with this performative guy. And right then, I was like, okay, I like this. These guys love that.
Josh Harward
Oh, yeah.
Conrad Eucropina
I love the noise. I love the noise. You know, I was in a fraternity. I played football for 10 years. You know, I mean, I have brothers. And right then I was like, all right, these guys are going to dish it. I'm here for it.

Camaraderie in this house, like, the amount we have heard, I feel like it's going to be incredible to see. So hopefully we do end up seeing that. And I mean, just fingers crossed for you and for everyone. But we do want to ask if we can play a game before you go. And this game is called Hot Seat, and we're going to ask you questions, rapid fire, and you're gonna answer.
Conrad Eucropina
I love it. I'm in 30.
Charity
Do you want to take it?
Rachel
Okay. Yes. Since we're in festival season, we just kind of just talked about it, but you have to choose between Stagecoach or Coachella.
Conrad Eucropina
Stagecoach, period.
Rachel
Okay.
Conrad Eucropina
It's just more beer, you know, it's more easy vibes.
Charity
Yeah, it is way more chill.
Conrad Eucropina
You don't have to show up to the concert on time, you know.
Rachel
Exactly.
Conrad Eucropina
You get to wear a cowboy hat.
Charity
Yes. I would actually very much agree. What is the most hopeless, romantic thing about you?
Conrad Eucropina
I wear my heart on my sleeve. And I think the most hopeless thing is I'm a big planner, and I write a lot of letters, which you will see.
Charity
Sweet.
Rachel
Our words of affirmation. No spoilers.
Conrad Eucropina
But you will, you will see on the show. And growing up with older brothers and being in a very male environment, it was harder for me to express my emotions. And so I found that I was able to do that much more easy through letters. And so I write letters all the time. Like, hey, this is, you know, what I have learned about you. This is what I'm excited about. So I'm definitely a letter guy.
Rachel
Oh, my God.
Charity
That's so sweet.
Rachel
I love. Okay, the next one is what's something you've learned being an Eagle Scout that you still use in your everyday life?
Charity
Some more lore.
Rachel
I know.
Conrad Eucropina
So, yeah, so I am an Eagle Scout. All of my brothers are Eagle Scouts. And shout out to my mom. My mom was the only female troop leader of our entire, like, you know, 100 plus person troop. And if it wasn't for my mom, we would not be Eagle Scouts, because you best believe she pushed us all through. And, you know, she was like, all right, it's. It's Sunday, Conrad. You got to go and get your merit badges and get working. And so shout out, mom. She. She was incredible and great to have the female representation in the Scouts, which was amazing. I think the. The Boy Scout motto is be prepared, and I. I think I live that to the fullest. I really tried to bring that to the show, and I tried to bring it to my businesses. And I find if you have a plan, there's no reason to be nervous because you're just going to execute the plan. So be prepared.
Rachel
Hello. That's a good one.
Charity
Before we go, Conrad, is there anything you want to leave Bachelor Nation with? And where can we find you on socials?
Conrad Eucropina
Socials, everything. I'm at Conrad Eucropina. Kudos if you can spell that last name correctly. But if you type in Conrad, you I should hopefully come up. And last thing I want to say is just one thank you to you too. Thank you for having me. This is awesome. You guys are doing a great job. You're so incredibly easy to talk to. I feel like we could literally Talk for, like, 10 hours and explore the lore and just that, you know, this experience was very, very positive. I met so many incredible people, from the producers to the people casting to the guys, to Taylor. I was always treated with respect.
Josh Harward

if the show airs great, I really, truly hope it does because there's a lot of really incredible guys who I think their story should be told. And if it doesn't, great. I still had an amazing experience. Got to come and meet you guys here. Got to meet incredible guys, got to meet incredible people behind the scenes. And so, you know, whatever happens, staying positive. And it's just really been a positive in my life that been able to be a part of this.
Rachel
Well, thank you Conrad. You're exactly what you just said. You're positive, you're joy, you're just happy and we loved having you here on Bachelor Happy Hour. Hopefully won't be the last but but until next time, thank you everyone and thank you to our listeners. But we'll see you very soon.
Charity

This is Bethenny Frankel from Just Be with Bethenny Frankel. Let me be blunt. Most dog food is junk. It just is. And I'm not feeding junk to Biggie and Smalls. That is why they eat just food for dogs. It's real, 100% human grade food with ingredients I actually recognize. Not mystery pellets pretending to be healthy. And once I switched, the difference was obvious. Better digestion, better skin, more energy. Dogs who actually feel good instead of just surviving dinner. Here's the thing. You care about quality. You make an intentional choice to be healthy. So why are you gambling with your dog's health? So let's think about our furry babies. The episode shines through with humor, relatability, and a touch of Bachelor-style drama. Both guests are unguarded, self-aware, and thoughtful, seamlessly balancing light moments (childhood "dating," Disneyland, soda orders) with deeper reflections (faith, growth, relationships, family, and even sperm health advocacy). The hosts, Charity and Rachel, keep the mood buoyant and inquisitive, drawing out entertaining stories and plenty of Bachelor lore.
