Have you, like, discussed this with Susie? Because I'm like, that is actually so crazy. I didn't realize the similarity. And they in paradise together reconnecting. Like, you guys have a similar track.

We really do. So I would. I was with Susie during Zach and Katie's wedding back in November and we had conversations about it because I was still kind of in the thick of it with Aven and she had, I think recently ended things with Justin. So I was just getting her advice because I'm like, if anyone understands this dynamic, I truly feel like it's you. She. She was like, kylie, no. Like, I feel like I'm looking in a mirror because chips are so similar. She's like, I know it's going to be hard. You feel like you kind of have like soul ties to him. But in the day, like when you kind of relinquish that, you're going to realize you're going to feel so free in the best way possible. Like no shade towards Justin. Or even. But like, truly it's for the best. So. Yeah, I just have a lot of respect for her and I know the feelings that she had towards Justin. So I think I'm okay. But great does not my guy.

Oh my gosh. I'm literally having like a come to about like, how similar this is. And I'm glad you had her to lean on because people, a lot of people can't understand like, what it's like meeting someone and having them promise you a future in front of millions of people. And then all of a sudden now it's ending and now it's not. Like, that's crazy. And I'm glad that you guys were able to connect with that.

It's so hard. You know, we make it through every single day.

Yes, we do.

[Rachel]

I'm like, curious because like, we can like obviously get off of Aven and you guys in a second. But like, was there ever like, conversations about like marriage or like, how did he feel about that? Because I think like the audience obviously how paradise ended, there was like, speculation of like, oh, I don't know, like, if he wants to like, commit. Because he was very like, okay, no, no proposal. But like.

But like almost a proposal, right? Yeah.

[Rachel]

So it's like he was there, but like, not quite. What did that look like when you guys obviously returned to real life and gave your relationship another chance?

[Unknown Female Host 2]

Yeah.

Yeah. Rachel. I felt like I was you.

We have talked about that. Yeah.

[Kylie]

Like, I was like, okay, well, think about Rachel right now. I think for him, when it came. I don't want to speak for him, but when it came to, he takes marriage very seriously. So do I need to. He's. He kind of holds lot of weight to an engagement. And at the end of the day, paradise was very short. There was no opportunities for like us and each other's parents and things like that. So he just didn't want to make that big of a commitment without doing like major life things. Obviously I understood that in a sense. But I'm like, when you know, you know. And in that moment, even leading up to our recent breakup, like, I felt like I knew that he was my person. But yeah, when we, obviously we took the next step of living together and we had those conversations. He wants kids, he does want marriage. And I do truly feel like with the right person, he will settle down and he will commitment. But I just feel like there's so much that went on in our relationship. It just constantly felt like an uphill battle and we were good and Then something would happen, and then it just felt like we were starting from scratch. So I think there was just a lot of damage that was done that he necessarily couldn't get over, and it did make him fearful. Okay, if I do make this final commitment with her, like, are we ever going to be able to just stay on the right track for. For long term? So, yeah, we had the conversations. I thought it was going to happen. I did picture life, like, I would work in the hospital and I would see all these couples, like, having babies, and I'm like, oh, my gosh. I know even it's going to be such a good dad. So I can't wait to experience that with him. Yeah, no, I do think he's going to make the right person, be so happy and commit to them, have marriage, have the kids. Like, I do see that for him. And he's going to be a great dad. He is a good person.

[Rachel]

He just wasn't my person and I wasn't his. And as hard as that isn't, as crappy as that is, like, I know we're both happy. We're both going to be okay. And. Yeah, person for us.

Was there ever a point where you guys got close to an engagement again, like, in paradise in the real world?

[Unknown Female Host 1]

Yeah.

[Kylie]

No. I mean, so I recently. Not recently. About a year ago, I was at a Lakers game with Tyler Norris and then his now wife, Alyssa. And Alyssa comes up to me, and she was like, oh, my God. Like, even was talking to Tyler about rings, and I was like, what? Like, I was so hyped because, I mean, this was. I had just met Even's parent. No, his dad. I met his mom a while ago, but I just met his dad in Boston and his stepmom, and everything went so well. Like, I loved his family. I saw myself, like, truly fitting in. And then after that, Alyssa comes to me telling me that he's looking at engagement rings. I'm like, oh, my God.

[Rachel]

Like, I'm.

[Kylie]

I brought that up to him and he was like, oh, no. Like, I wasn't mean that I was looking. I was just, like, saying, like, oh, yeah. I mean, if we're gonna stay together at this point, like, I might as well start, like, looking. And I was like, oh, well, you definitely burst in my bubble. I'm not that excited anymore. But, yeah. So I don't know. I guess that was the closest that we got to it. We never went, like, ring shopping or had any, like, plans to do that. But, I mean, at that point, it was like, Two and a half years. So I was hoping in his brain that. Yeah, yeah. But I don't know.

Also, I feel like because Tyler is one of his best friends and Tyler was so ready to settle down. He found someone. He's in that stage of his life. Do you think that influenced him at all? Like, do you think he's anywhere closer to being really ready? Yeah.

[Kylie]

So it's not just Tyler. Like, a lot of his friends back home in Boston are all settled down, married, and even starting to have kids.

[Charity]

Interesting.

[Kylie]

Yeah, you would think. But even is like, through and through his own person. He's not going to let. Clearly, we, like, I maybe Rachel, but I like, begged that man to propose to me and he did it. At the end of the day, even going to do what even wants to do. So I don't think anything is going to influence him. But I do truly feel. I honestly think the next girl that he dates will be his wife. And that is so.

Yeah, that's so, so hard for me to say because, like, at the end of the day, like, my other ex, like, I've only had two boyfriends. Like, my other ex, if I he got married, I think they're about to have a kid and it didn't bother me. But, like, with even, like, there was so much of life that we experienced together just so to see that with the next person, it's gonna be hard, but I'll be happy for him no matter why.

Why do you say that? Why do you think it's going to be the next person?

[Kylie]

I think with even like, it's like the taxi cab theory. I think the next person he dates, he's going to just be like, kind of just go all in and take what you learned in our relationship and kind of flourish that. And he did say that, like, he was going to truly work on himself and 100% realize, like, what he wants when it comes to his next relationship. So I don't think it's going to be a position where he just, like, settles and just dates anyone to date. So I think. I think the next person is going to be a lucky girl. And I think he's truly going to. To find his person. But I don't know. I guess we'll see.

Because you talk so highly of him and you're saying, like, your last ex is married with a child and it's not affecting you. Aven, obviously, like you said, has some work to do. If he does that work and let's say a year from now comes back and like puts that in front of you. Would you, would you ever open the door again?

[Kylie]

I don't think so. I think I have. We have opened the door so many times. We have tried so, so many times. So I just don't think, like, obviously never say never, but I truly just don't think he's my person at the end of the day. Like, the things that he, he holds such high value to is just completely different than what I, that is important to me and that's just never going to change, unfortunately. And you. I don't want to ever change a person to make me make them fit my mold, but there has to be type of compromise for it to work. And I don't think there's going to ever be enough compromise on both of our ends for there to be longevity. But like I said, like, I, If Avon called me today and he was like, kylie, I'm in an emergency. I need you to come help me, I would drop everything and I would be there for him because I have so much love for him. I have no ill will. And I, like, I truly want him to live his best life. I want him to fight, I want him to be in love. I want him to because I know how much love he has to give. Like, he is a good person despite his transgressions. Like, he is a good person person, but he's just not my person. And it, and that is so sad to say and it sucks and I wish, but I just like, I can't even hold a little space in that door to leave it open because for myself and for my dignity and for everything, I have to fully shut it. Because I'll never move on if I don't. And it's time, it's truly time to move on.

God is doing a work on you, Kylie.

I think this is so relatable. Like, so many people will listen to this and have that. I think everyone's fear is like, what if I never truly get over that person? But the fact that you're really deciding that the things you want are the most important is so huge. And hearing you say this, I think a lot of people are going to benefit from hearing this.

[Rachel]

No, I think you, you literally just said it, Rachel. It's like putting your needs and like sometimes people don't, like, they lose themselves in relationships and like, that's just something that like falls to the wayside or they think they're being selfish by doing that. But it's like you being able to realize that obviously during. But then like now, after. While you're going through this, like, grief process of it all is, like, so telling of just, like, who you are in your character and just, like, honestly, like, how. How well you're healing in all of this. Because a lot of people would just, like, question that and just also question, like, well, why wasn't he, like, able to do this for me? Or, like, why not? And it's like, it's not even about that at that point. At some point, you have to stop asking yourself, like, why? And just realize, like, this is just what's being put in front of me. And you have to accept it and understand that if it does change, it might. But there's a big risk that it may not change. And you coming to terms with that for yourself, most importantly, is so huge. So, so proud of you, Kylie. I really am. Like, just hearing you talk, I'm like, this is lovely.

No, and obviously, like, I didn't just wake up. This did not happen overnight. It's.

But when I kind of flipped it and I was like, okay, no, it's not me. It's just, like, to our core, we're just so different. And no matter what we do, no matter how hard we fight, like, it's just not gonna work out. And that's.

But. Yeah, no, I. I mean, like I said, I had a dream about him last night. So, like, every day is different. It's still hard, but I'm. I think what makes me kind of get through each day is I'm so excited for. I love what I'm doing right now, who I'm doing it with, and I'm just, like, ready to see. Okay. Like, I question. I'm like, okay, I wonder what my next boyfriend's gonna look like or what, what our relationship is going to be like. So I'm just excited and I'm hopeful.

I can't wait for all my friends to be just booed up.

Like, I think, like, she probably had this desire to want to be in a place where she can, like, obviously live her life to the fullest and not, you know, hide parts of it. But also, she just loved him so Much that she. She really just went with what he ultimately, I think, desired and wanted. So.

I know. Yeah, I know. It's so hard to make kind of, like, I feel it because I'm like, I care about Avid. Like, she cares so much. And it's like, I. Wishing him all the best.
