I make a little basket that I brought for Stella. Of course, the Easter bunny had hers. And she's. What's in the eggs, Mimi? I said, look and see. And she's opening. There's another one. There's. There were fives. And Chris, my son, her father said, I'll hold that for you. She goes, no, you're.

Well, it was a fun weekend. We had beautiful weather here. And, you know, this is the time everyone wants to live in Austin because it's not too hot, it's not too cold. It was perfect weather for outdoor Easter egg hunt. We had a great time and I didn't have to cook. And that's always a good time.

Got it. I love this. Are you kidding? Okay. Hi, ladies. I'm 32. I wish. And have been with my boyfriend for four years. I love him, but every time I bring up marriage, he says, we're not in a rush. Meanwhile, all my friends are getting engaged, and I feel stuck. How long is too long to wait for a ring? And how do I bring it up without sounding like I'm giving him an ultimatum? Courtney. Mm.

Okay. Kathy's like, cut and dry, girl. Say it. Say it like it is. Kat. I'll push it.

They've been dating it for four years. 32. Give me a break. He either knows or he doesn't want to know. He may not be in a rush, but if she wants kids, her biological clock is ticking. Here's the thing. She's absolutely right, Courtney. If you say something, it's going to come out. Sound like an ultimatum. I would say to him, I might drop a few cute hints. And you're right, Susan. I am cut and dried. I would drop a few cute hints with pictures of rings. And if he said, oh, that's really funny, you know, maybe someday, you know what I would be doing? Kicking.

Today's the day where your you know what is kicked to the curb because that. Four years, like. No, I'm sorry.

It is. It is. So also have a conversation like what is then? It's an ultimatum, A plan. I want to know your plan, because I don't want to waste my time.

We're. We're going to play this. I know you want to feel me, but you're only 32. We got plenty of time.

Who says 32? The body don't shrink back as fast. I want. If it's about kids or. Or does she just want the ring? She just wants a promise that we are going to get married some.

Well, I would say, just put the ring on it, and I'll wait a little bit for you, but I need something showing me that that's your intention.

So you. You agree with an ultimatum, then?

No, I would. I would show Marin. I would say. I would come to him and say, you know, be funny, cute, and kind of put pictures of rings out. If he said, listen, we're not in a hurry, I'd be saying, here's your hat. What's your hurry? You're out the door. I'm not kidding. Don't waste time on a guy who says, after four years of dating, we're in no hurry.

You know, at 32.

And I don't Know if you're living with him again? We don't have all the information, Courtney, but, you know, why buy the cow when you're getting the milk for free? I'm sorry. I'm old fashioned.

How do I bring it up? You just do. Like you said, bring a picture. This is what I want, but do you not think they've had that conversation? Like, are we getting married someday? Is that the plan?

Oh, I think the answer to that is, yeah, someday we're getting married.

I think you're being very fair. After dating a guy. I'm being serious now. You've dated him four years. 32 is not unreasonable to expect a ring, a commitment, a date, and a dress. And if he's not up for that, then I would say to you, get on a dating app and see what you can find. I would.

Okay, moving on to the next one. This is from Shauna. She says, hi, Queens. I just got back into dating after a divorce at 45. And wow, the apps are a nightmare.

Let me tell you, Shauna, I'm right there with you. Everyone either wants something casual or says they want a relationship, but they act like they don't. How do you tell if someone is actually serious about marriage or just saying what you want to hear?

[Susan]

That's a pretty tough question. I mean, it goes by their actions. I mean, what are they showing you?

[Kathy]

So always Shawna, watch what a man does, or a woman, whatever your pleasure is here. Watch what they do, not what they say. However, if you are on a first or second date with a guy or a gal shouldn't be thinking and you're talking about marriage, that they are going to run for the hill.

[Susan]

It's a red flag.

[Kathy]

It's a big. It's crimson. It's bleeding. So I don't. I think you got to give it time. You have to give it time.

[Susan]

Yeah. I mean, she just got back into dating after a divorce. She's 45 years old. Why are you in A hurry to get married again.

[Kathy]

She's afraid of being alone.

[Susan]

Time for yourself, and you can date. And the man that shows you

he is making you happy. When you feel so content with somebody, that's when you know, well, I got.

I'm with you, Susan. I have a very good friend who just turned 45 and is divorced and just got out of a relationship. And she said to me, literally today, I am lonely. I'm afraid of being alone. So. And I told her the same thing I'm going to tell you, Shauna, which is, being alone is not the same thing as being lonely. I think we all need to be. To learn to be alone with ourselves and be content with ourselves, and that will make you a better person when you start to date. But I'm with Susan. You know, if you just got divorced, why are you jumping back into dating? We all bring baggage to relationships, but maybe take a little time and kind of work on yourself and figure out what it is you want in your next partner. Because the fact that you're already saying the dating apps suck and that how do you know if they're interested in marriage? It sounds like really all you want is to be married. And. And that's never a good recipe to

think you should just date somebody for a while and date different people until you find the right one.

I don't care what they say. Are you talking about marriage? Like you said, you can't be talking about marriage on from going from a dating site.

I think Shawna wants to be married, and she's trying to take a shortcut, and there are no shortcuts in good relationships.

Yeah, he lives really far away. Okay. Hey, Kathy and Susan, I've been married for five years, and lately it feels more like we're roommates than partners. No big fights, just no spark. Is this normal? And what's your advice for getting the romance back without it feeling forced or awkward? Freya, that's really good.

I think you should surprise them. Yeah. And plan a night out. And, you know, if it's winter, wear your fur coat with nothing underneath and flash them and just, wow.

No sparks, you say? So dress up for the bedroom. Try something different. Go buy some toys or, you know. Yeah, you gotta liven it up. Get a weekend getaway.

Okay, now we're talking. I think. I think get out of the routine, you know. So basically what Susan is saying. Let me be clear here. What she's saying is, get a can of whipped cream with your main coat. Do not get the whipped cream on the mink coat, but take your guy to a weekend getaway where you then decorate yourself with whipped cream. Am I getting it about right there?

I don't do whipped cream.

I do it. I do think you have to put some effort in. You do.

And you know, some. Some women, and maybe she's one of them, would hope that he would think of something like that. But if you do it, he might be shocked. He might be surprised. He might love it. He might think, what's wrong with you? I don't know who he is, but hell, get out of it.

Yeah, listen, Freya. I don't know if it's Freya or Freya, but it's a pretty name. I would say to you, try something, because what you're doing is not getting you the result you want. So try something fun. You know, it could be like, if he loves good food, say, you know, ask him what his favorite meal is. Cook a great meal for him. Turn on some music, light a fire, do something that is considered traditionally romantic. Get a bottle of nice champagne and, you know, sit around talking about.
