Susan
Welcome back to Bachelor Happy Hours Golden Hour. Thanks again for joining us. And we are always excited to be back, huh, Kathy?
Kathy
Always, always, always. Happy day. You doing okay, Susan?
Susan
I am. I am indeed. New Year, new day, new.
Kathy
Exactly. Okay, well, today we have a very special guest. Please welcome, from Katie Thurston season, Erin Clancy. Hey, Erin, how are you doing? Welcome to Golden Hour.
Susan
Welcome.
Aaron Clancy
Hey, ladies. Thank you for having me. I'm doing pretty good. I've been sick. That's why I'm so disheveled looking. But you know what you get?
Kathy
This is disheveled. I'd like to see you not disheveled.
Susan
When I look at your pictures and your Instagram, it's that million dollar smile that you came out with and you still own it. Sick or not. There it is.
Aaron Clancy
You got one, too. You got one, too. There it is.
Kathy
What are you sick with? What do you got? What do you have?
Aaron Clancy
The whole stick, I think just like, yeah, the run of the Mo flu. But, you know, it hit me like a truck and laid me out and I felt like a, you know, a little bitch.
Susan
But, yeah, it's always this time of the year.
Aaron Clancy
That wasn't it.
Kathy
So before we started recording, I asked Aaron if he knew who Susan and I, who we are, because, you know, he's. He's. It's been a minute since he's been on paradise or on Bachelor. And sure enough, he said he watched us and he liked us. So this, this interview is going to go really well.
Danny Shapiro
Okay.
Aaron Clancy
I was actually. I just, I. I'm a schmoozer. I just made that up. I don't know. You guys.
Susan
Are you, like, an Italian?
Aaron Clancy
I was a fan. You guys were both great. You guys are both great. It made me wish I was there to.
Kathy
To an extent, to an extent.
Aaron Clancy
To an extent.
Kathy
As I said to you, if you'd been on Paradise, I would have been your mother. I would have taken care of you, too.
Aaron Clancy
Well, I'm six foot Four. I'm kind of shredded. I look good.
Susan
It's perfect. It's absolutely perfect. Now, we saw that you were in a relationship with Alice Gray, but haven't seen any updates in a while. Are you still together?
Aaron Clancy
No, we broke up. 4, 5, 6, some of that. We broke up.
Susan
Okay. What happened?
Aaron Clancy
We broke up a while ago. Yeah.
Danny Shapiro
Okay.
Aaron Clancy
Don't really want to go too into it. We're just. Irreconcilable differences, I guess. But, you know, we try a divorce lawyer. I'm trying to. Trying to keep it legal.
Susan
Have you been dating since? Or are you kind of on the low?
Aaron Clancy
You know what? I'm 31 now. Don't say any. Don't make any age Comments, please. But 31. So I feel. I feel. I feel, you know, I'm not. I'm not really. I'm just laying low a little bit.
Narrator/Host
Yeah.
Aaron Clancy
Trying to kind of work on myself and bounce back. How I get.
Kathy
I'm going to ask you a question because Susan and I are of a certain age where men do not slide into our dms because basically they don't know how to operate a computer, never mind Instagram or Tick Tock or anything else. But in your case, it sucks. But in your case, women do know what they're doing. They're on social media, as are men your age. So tell me, do women slide into your DMs? And don't lie to me. They're talking to your mother.
Aaron Clancy
So, yes, but I haven't been. Exactly. So I haven't broadcasted that I've been single. I don't think that much. Except I've been posting a little more thirst traps. But, you know, other than that, I haven't explicitly said it. So not too much. Not crazy. And when I was in my relationship, it was. People were pretty respectful, which was awesome. Before that. Yeah.
Kathy
Would you. Would you now? I mean. Well, let me back up. Are you open to dating now or not yet?
Aaron Clancy
I mean, yeah, for sure, 100%.
Kathy
So if you're open to dating, would you date? How are you dating? Like, are you on the apps? Are you dating people in your DMs? Like, tell me how that's working.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, I don't know. It's just like, no apps, first off. Not that I'm against them, but no apps. Not really DMs. I don't know. I guess friends of a friend are like, you know. Yeah. Stumble into someone and like, oh, my God, the jam. Beautiful.
Kathy
The gym.
Aaron Clancy
I don't work out. I just stare at Weights.
Susan
I think about working out all the time.
Aaron Clancy
I think about it. I go to gym gyms and find the 2.5 pound weights and eat them. That works.
Kathy
Wait, is there anyone. I love it. My kind of guy. Is there anyone from Bachelor Nation? And I'll be honest, because no one's listening. It's just two old ladies and an adorable young guy. Is there anyone in Bachelor Nation you would date or interested in dating?
Aaron Clancy
You know what? That's. It's a.
Kathy
That's a yes.
Susan
I don't know.
Narrator/Host
I don't.
Aaron Clancy
Well, let my silence speak volumes in this case, because I don't know.
Narrator/Host
Okay.
Susan
Would you ever go on paradise and tell me what you thought of the new format?
Aaron Clancy
So. So I don't have an answer to that first question. So I don't know. But the new format was interesting. The biggest thing I had. Right. And I didn't tell anyone this, but back when paradise was the original format, it was really hot. It was. Shoot, I was super sweaty the second I went on twice. So the second time I went on, I got Botox in my forehead so I wouldn't sweat so much on camera. It didn't work. Still sweating? No, it didn't really help.
Susan
It doesn't.
Aaron Clancy
And it makes everyone crazy because. And also I'm like, I owe positive blood. So. So mosquitoes are attracted to me like twins. Yeah. And they come for me. They literally come for me. So. And, and spiders. I got bit. My legs swelled up.
Kathy
So I'm telling.
Aaron Clancy
Gout in my leg.
Kathy
Aaron. When they. Susan. And we happened to be on vacation in St. Martin when they called us about going on paradise last year. And of course, Susan couldn't go because she was in a relationship, but I could. And so we both.
Susan
The first thing I said, kathy, I'm going to.
Kathy
We said, we're not going if there's not air conditioning. We're not going to some infested mosquito. We're not doing that. Okay. No, we couldn't do it. But so you. If. Would you. Which format do you like better? The one that's the game show or the one that you did?
Aaron Clancy
So I liked the one I did out of. Out of like nostalgia and, and, and, but, but, but like being a contestant on it. I like the one you did like infinitely more. Plus, you can win money, right? Which is cool.
Kathy
It was a blast. I will say it was a blast. I, you know, I, I don't know if you watched every episode, but Keith and I were friends and we said we weren't taking the money, because you're 30, not. And if you're with some young, gorgeous thing, which I fully imagine you would be, I'm not. You know, you're starting your life. I'm not. So. Keith and I were. We hung around a long time because we were not in it for the money. But the challenges were fun.
Susan
They were.
Aaron Clancy
First off, Kathy, that's amazing. You're a saint, and I really, I like you even more now. Right.
Kathy
You know, they thought we were kidding at first. Thank you. I appreciate that. But Keith and I really did say, well, not taking money out of young kids.
Aaron Clancy
It's also, you're. You're both rich.
Susan
It sounds like they don't need the money neither.
Kathy
Neither one of us survives.
Susan
Me, on the other hand, be like, let's go.
Kathy
You would not, Susan. No. You wouldn't have. You would never have taken the money. And it was like these young ones that have school debt, and they're. They want to buy their first house.
Aaron Clancy
And, like, you know, vodka Red Bulls on the weekend. I got you.
Kathy
Exactly.
Susan
But if you had a choice, you would choose the old way or the new way?
Aaron Clancy
I would choose the new way for sure. I mean, like, I, I, I guess I, I. So being a contestant and, and watching it as a, you know, someone, someone that had that experience, I think the, the new way is way better for contestants. I think the biggest thing was, like, I was extremely uncomfortable, so I, I was allergic. I got a spider bite. I was allergic to it. My leg swelled up. I was trying to spit game at, like, girls with, like, hobbling around, like, with a swollen, like, it was just like, you know, they don't show that, you know, but everyone was kind of.
Kathy
Like, you did paradise twice, though, right?
Aaron Clancy
Twice. Yeah.
Kathy
Would you. And you're saying you wouldn't do it again or you're not going to say I, I did.
Aaron Clancy
I said I, I said I wasn't going to say. And I said, my sound speaks volumes.
Kathy
I don't. Why does it speak volumes? Am I stupid here?
Aaron Clancy
I don't know. I don't know.
Kathy
We'll get it off camera. I don't know. I mean, you know, for me, it was fun. I would do it again in a heartbeat because I had a blast. But.
Susan
Okay, you know, I'm gonna do this podcast.
Kathy
So now I'm gonna add. So really, it's not about you at all. It's about you telling me what you think of Taylor. Frankie, Paul. Oh, yeah. Think about her as being the new bachelor.
Susan
This is gonna be good.
Aaron Clancy
You know what so, yeah.
Susan
Give us the real stuff.
Aaron Clancy
I don't know. I don't know if I should say.
Kathy
Yeah, of course.
Narrator/Host
Why?
Aaron Clancy
So I don't. So I don't know anything about her.
Danny Shapiro
I.
Aaron Clancy
Well, I don't. I don't know, actually. And, like, being on, having been on tv, there's a lot that, you know, gets cut out or missing pieces. And so judgments are easily cast. The wrong judgments. And I don't want to be that guy, but.
Susan
Right.
Aaron Clancy
I will say I did watch when I saw her, I looked up some stuff about her because I. I post a little Q A on Instagram and people are asking me. And I mean, she seems like. I mean, it seems like a firecracker. Right? She's a pistol, right?
Danny Shapiro
Yeah.
Susan
And she's doing live.
Kathy
Wait, do you like that? Do you like that? She's a pistol.
Aaron Clancy
I. So I think it's gonna be really entertaining.
Danny Shapiro
As we head into 2026, it's safe to say that 2025 was a year like no other. So much news, so much disruption, and, yes, so much division. That's why we're wrapping up this season of Next Question with a look back at everything that's happened. Things are coming at us with such a velocity, we thought it was important to take a moment, connect the dots, and explore what it all means. We're summing up the first year of Trump's second term with David Graham on Project 2025, and how many of the goals have been imp. Richard Haass on foreign policy and the changing world order. Jessica Valenti on reproductive rights and the terrifying consequences of abortion bans. Tina Brown on the year scandals here and across the pond. The president has upended everything from pardons to the press, so we're covering it all. Listen to Next Question with me, Katie Couric on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.

It can be such a struggle for our quality of life. But even if it's natural, why should we suffer through it?
Kathy
The types of symptoms that people talk.
Danny Shapiro
About is forgetting everything. I never used to forget things. They're concerned that one, they have dementia and the other one is do I have adhd?

Hi, I'm Danny Shapiro, host of the hit podcast Family Secrets.
Aaron Clancy
We were in the car like a rolling stone came on and he said, there's a line in there about your mother and. And I said, what?
Narrator/Host
What I would do if I didn't.
Aaron Clancy
Feel like I was being accepted is choose an identity that other people can't have.
Kathy
I knew something had happened to me in the middle of the night, but I couldn't hold on to what had happened.
Danny Shapiro
These are just a few of the moving and important stories I'll be holding space for on my upcoming 13th season of Family Secrets. Whether you've been on this journey with me from season one or just joining the Family Secrets family, we're so happy to have you with us. I'll dive deep into the incredible power of secrets, the ones that shape our identities, test our relationships, and ultimately reveal who we truly are. Listen to Family secrets on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcasts.
Narrator/Host
The moments that shape us often begin with a simple question. What do I want my life to look like now? I'm Dr. Joy Hardin Bradford and on Therapy for black Girls, we create space for honest conversations about identity, relationships, mental health and the choices that help us grow. As cybersecurity expert Camille Stewart Gloucester reminds us, we are in a divisive time where our comments are weaponized against us.
Aaron Clancy
And so what we find is a.
Narrator/Host
Lot of black women are standing up and speaking out because they feel the.
Aaron Clancy
Brunt of the pain.
Narrator/Host
Each week we explore the tools and insights that help you move with purpose, whether you're navigating something new or returning to yourself. If you're ready for thoughtful guidance and grounded support, this is the place for you. Listen to therapy for black Girls on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast.
Kathy
Well, let me ask you, the woman you want, is it a, is it like her or do you like this, you know, the quiet. What's your type?
Aaron Clancy
So I like, I like, I'm a guy that's very. I like, I like, I definitely like banter.
Danny Shapiro
Right.
Aaron Clancy
I'm, I'm a, I like to consider myself smart. Right. But I like that playful. But I also like something that's like sweet and like, like just there for me at the end of the day. Like someone has that underlying like, I really appreciate this guy and I, and I'm sweet and nurturing or caring. Then yeah, I mean like roast me all you want. You know, I'm an easy target.
Susan
And that's kind of what you left with, right?
Aaron Clancy
Exactly. Exactly. Yeah.
Kathy
That friendship. You know what, she's around the corner for you, I feel. Sure.
Susan
So do you think you're good?
Kathy
She's around the corner. She's around the corner for you.
Danny Shapiro
Yeah.
Aaron Clancy
What is that? What does that mean? Like, like physically.
Kathy
It means she's going to come into your life soon because you're, it sounds like you have an open heart, you're ready. It's basically me wishing you well in your dating life. You're welcome.
Aaron Clancy
Oh, well, I appreciate.
Kathy
We got you, babe.
Aaron Clancy
Well, that hopefully her season goes well though.
Susan
Are you going to watch?
Danny Shapiro
Right?
Aaron Clancy
I, I will tune in. I'm really curious. I, I, I liked that.
Kathy
I think everyone is.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, I like that they did such big changes, you know, it's going to be really interesting.
Kathy
Well, you know, you touched on it, Susan. One of the biggest changes, that girl has a phone. Cuz she is posting, she's posting. She's got a funnel. Let's start with that. She's posting live updates. She's, you know, you see her with a man. I saw something that said she might have given it away. Who her one of her last two guy. And I'm sitting there going, I don't care who she chooses as long as she's happy. I want to know why she got a phone and we didn't wait.
Susan
And it's going in this new direction. Do you think they'll go similar with the Bachelor, or are they only letting the bachelorette go wild?
Aaron Clancy
You know, I mean, I hopefully. I think it's probably for everyone. It's gonna be slightly different. I do think Bachelorette will probably be a little more wild than Bachelor. I think it's more tasteful when the woman is.
Susan
Let me ask you something, man. If Kathy and I were up there, you'd watch.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, for sure. Especially after this.
Kathy
Susan wants us to be the twin golden bachelorettes.
Aaron Clancy
There we go.
Kathy
You'd watch it?
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, I'd watch it. Sign up.
Kathy
Wait, I want to know. Do you think that. Do you think she's gonna. Because, you know, she's got three kids, she's been married a couple times. Do you think. What's your prediction? What do you think's gonna. I mean, we don't know, seriously. But what do you think's gonna happen?
Aaron Clancy
Well, if I predict based off just bachelor data in general, then they'll get engaged and date for a short while and break up. No, I'm just kidding. I'm kidding. I think they're going to find a very tall, handsome Jack dude, and, you know, he's gonna be the new papa.
Kathy
And. And you're describing yourself. You understand? You're describing yourself.
Aaron Clancy
I've lost some muscle. I just played pickleball now, so. Not me.
Kathy
I play pickleball. Will you play?
Aaron Clancy
Do you? Let's play. What's your duper?
Kathy
I don't even know what that means.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, well, maybe I'm out of your league.
Susan
Did you watch this Golden Bachelor finale?
Kathy
What's a duper?
Aaron Clancy
It's like you're writing the writing. It's like how good you are.
Kathy
I'm a 10.
Aaron Clancy
Well, it only goes up to like. Okay, you're the best in the world.
Kathy
It probably goes like tennis up to five, I'm guessing, right?
Aaron Clancy
It's like. It's like there's a seven. There's seven. The highest guy's like a seven point something.
Kathy
Well, I'm not a seven. The rest will have to be.
Aaron Clancy
I would be a three, but we should play anyways. We should play.
Kathy
Three would mean you're very good, Susan. Wait, I have a question. Are you still a healthcare recruiter?
Aaron Clancy
Yes. Yes.
Kathy
What is that? I know I'm getting totally off track, but I just. It was in my notes and I gotta ask. Oh, what is that like right now?
Aaron Clancy
Well, right after the Bachelor. So I've been Off for a minute? A little bit.
Danny Shapiro
Yeah.
Aaron Clancy
I was doing full time, like, content and influencer type stuff. I. I liked and didn't like. Doesn't take up a lot of time. So you fill your time with, like, other things. For me, I don't know. I like a little bit more structure. So I didn't really. I. I was a little young. I feel like I went on when I was 26, and so I. I just like. I feel like I like to just go around partying or something. I don't know. But right now it's good. I mean, it's. It's flexible job. It's kind of like what I did when I graduated school for the most part.
Kathy
And what do you recruit, though? Nurses?
Aaron Clancy
Like, yeah, nurses. Travel nurses? Mainly. Yeah. They. They watch the Bachelor a lot of times too, so.
Danny Shapiro
Yeah.
Kathy
Oh, there's been tons of them. My God. Who's. He's who I love. They just come here. Why am I drawing a blank? Help me. They live in Austin. I literally am drawing a blank. Oh, Katie, thank you. Who I adore. And Zach, I love them. She's a traveling. I've met so many of them that are traveling nurses.
Susan
My clients. A couple of my clients do it. She said, I won't be here for three months. Okay. Every time she comes back, I don't know where she goes, but they can't do hair. She goes, help. I go, oh, God. You always give me a headache.
Kathy
Okay, so. All right, so enough of your job. You've got it. I was just curious. I know we got off track. I want to know if they choose another. If they do switch it up. Who would you want to see as the Bachelor? You got any ideas on that?
Aaron Clancy
That's actually a great question. I haven't thought about that even a little bit.
Susan
Would you like to be one?
Aaron Clancy
Well, that was my first thought just now.
Kathy
You know what? And he wants. And he wants a cougar, and I'm available.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah. There we go. There we go.
Kathy
Abc Aaron. We'll just play pickleball. It'll be fine.
Aaron Clancy
There we go. Other people would love it. I don't know. Do you guys. What do you guys think? Like, maybe. Maybe. What are your ideas? And I'll probably recognize the name and then say yes or no. What about that?
Susan
What would you think for the young guys? I always think golden. So.
Kathy
So let me just say for young guys, here's. Here's the thing. I think with having Taylor on now, I think it sets a precedent that they want to have you know, some big name bachelor outside of Bachelor Nation. I mean, I, I don't know. I'm not a producer or a director. I have no vote, no say. But I think that big social media, that they might do that because social again, you know, we're old enough to be your mother. I have kids your age and, and so does Susan. So here's the thing. We know what social media is and the impact it has, and every year it just gets bigger and bigger. So why not go? If I were a director, I'd be saying, why not? Why not go for a big name? Because those are the people that are going to tune in. Those are the people with the followers. That's what I'd be doing.
Danny Shapiro

Aaron Clancy
All.
Narrator/Host
They had some time on their hands. Listen to Reasonably Shady from the Black Effect Podcast Network on the iHeartRadio app, Apple Podcasts, or wherever you get your podcast. Narrator/Host
Lot of black women are standing up and speaking out because they feel the.
Aaron Clancy
Brunt of the pain.
Narrator/Host

Kathy
We love you, Aaron. Really. I think you're fabulous.
Aaron Clancy
I think you guys are great, too.
Kathy
Although, let me just say, you look like. You are so in shadow. You look like the guy they're looking that murdered somebody last week.
Aaron Clancy
Oh, God. Why? You should have told me that earlier.
Susan
Well, it's the hat, honey. Now we can see.
Kathy
Now you look like Casper the Ghost.
Susan
That's better.
Danny Shapiro
It's a little better.
Kathy
I mean, let's talk about this. Why do you have a hat on?
Aaron Clancy
Well, because my hair is messy.
Kathy
See? And we talk about girls having bad hair days.
Aaron Clancy
You think I'm hat fishing? No, I have, like. I mean.
Kathy
Oh, look at your. Take off your hat. You're handsome.
Susan
Good.
Aaron Clancy
I know what the hat.
Kathy
You can leave it on.
Susan
So is there anybody that's really close to in Bachelor Nation that you do talk to all the time?
Aaron Clancy
I talked to Logan a lot.
Kathy
I remember.
Aaron Clancy
Logan's a stud. Logan's the best. The man.
Kathy
Is he single still?
Aaron Clancy
I believe so, yes. Guys, you know, we don't keep that up to date, so maybe.
Kathy
Okay, Aaron, I'm serious. I had. We're joking around. You're a handsome devil. Are you? You are. Are you ready to find. Are you ready to settle down? Are you looking for the woman?
Aaron Clancy
I. I definitely am. For sure. I'm ready and single. Ready for a salty Pringle.
Kathy
Okay, but I'm just gonna say to you, because now we're in a therapy session. You're 31. You are deadly handsome. I mean, you really are. You're six. Whatever.
Susan
You said six four.
Kathy
You're gainfully. Well, I thought he said six three or six four, but I didn't want to cut off an inch because inches matter.
Aaron Clancy
They do.
Kathy
You, you're single, you're handsome, you're gainfully employed. Again, I'm not getting into your dating life, but I'm very curious because I would think that you would be overrun with dates.
Aaron Clancy
You know what? I. So I. I've been playing it low key.
Susan
That's what he said. Yeah.
Kathy
Well, does that mean you're not. Just say, I'm dating, but I want to talk about it.
Aaron Clancy
I'm not really. I'm just. I'm, like, easing my way in. Like easing in, you know.
Kathy
So are you waiting for the woman to find you?
Aaron Clancy
I, I don't. That makes me sound like a, like a little scared beta male and that's not me, you know.
Susan
Do you go out like a lot? Do you socialize? See that's, that's like, that's why.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, but I'm not a hermit either, you know. No, I've been known to, to go to a bar and a little sauce gets me loose. Everyone knows. So. Yeah, you know.
Susan
When you have a.
Aaron Clancy
Little sauce, you start dancing.
Kathy
I think, I think, I think this guy. Here's what I think, Aaron. I think you are a little nervous, but I think if someone took the time and came up to you in a coffee shop, she'd be the luckiest girl in the world.
Aaron Clancy
Oh, that's really, really sweet. Thanks, Kathy. I really appreciate that.
Susan
You have like a rough attitude around. Yeah, I don't think I don't want to be approached.
Aaron Clancy
No, I mean like, I guess because I'm like sometimes I can be a. Look a little intense I would say when I'm walking around like this or something.
Kathy
Yeah, me too. But I'm not. Susan, are you hearing this? We give the look like we're intense, but we're really not.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, yeah, I think. Yeah. No, I'm a super easy going guy. Especially as I got older and older. Like I think my brain is not as chaotic as it was when I was younger and I'm just like even more easy going. Like life goes on, things happen. I don't really trip about anything.
Susan
So what do you look forward to this year? Come in the new year that we're in.
Aaron Clancy
You know what? I just. It's gonna be the first new year of outside. My, my relationship lasts a while. It's almost three years. So you know, I'm really just focusing on just self improvement. I don't know, there's not a whole lot I can say but there's like certain things I'm trying to do and, and that are kind of coming into play that are going to be pretty big for me. So I think there's going to be some, some good stuff and.
Kathy
Wait, tell us what.
Aaron Clancy
No, no, no, I can't.
Danny Shapiro
He's not.
Aaron Clancy
I want to say too, too much, but. Yeah, but I will say little teaser that I'm going to look really good handsome and be funny and all of it. So that's good.
Kathy
Are you on his new show?
Aaron Clancy
No, I can't. No.
Danny Shapiro
Cat.
Narrator/Host
All right.
Kathy
I, I could. Hey, you know what? I can ask whatever I want. Seek and ye shall find. That is my motto. We're there. I have a. Yeah. If you need me, I'm. I'm available.
Aaron Clancy
Appreciate you, ladies.
Kathy
Aaron, I have a question. It's totally random. Where did you swim in college?
Aaron Clancy
Ucsd. And I also swam at a JC called Mount Sac.
Kathy
So what was your stroke? I don't even why I'm asking this. It's just. I read about it.
Aaron Clancy
It was.
Kathy
I mean, if you're not going to tell me the show, if you're not going to tell me who you're dating, I'm going back into your past.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Dig deep. No. Yeah. In college it was the breaststroke. After college was the deep stroke.
Kathy
The what?
Danny Shapiro
The deep.
Kathy
Wait a minute. My daughter was. My daughter won my daughter's breaststroke. She won like big time awards for it. So I know that one. I have no idea what deepest. What is it?
Aaron Clancy
It's just a sex joke.
Kathy
I don't know.
Susan
It's a sex show. Tune in now.
Narrator/Host
I love this guy.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah. You never heard of the Deep Show? You gotta find a new man.
Kathy
I've heard of Deep Throat. Go. Deep Throat. Deep Show. No.
Aaron Clancy
Susan, get over.
Kathy
Stop. The other thing I have to ask you is. Wait, wait. The other thing. Susan, I did my research on this guy. These are things I need to know. Especially if he's going after an older woman, it's going to be me. Where's the tattoo on your neck of your family?
Aaron Clancy
Where is it? It's like. It's right there. Yeah, it's right there.
Kathy
But what is the tattoo? I couldn't find initials.
Aaron Clancy
Initials?
Kathy
Whose initials?
Aaron Clancy
All my. My two brothers, my mom and my dad.
Kathy
Are you the only one that has it?
Aaron Clancy
Yes.
Kathy
Did they have the tattoo as well?
Aaron Clancy
No, just.
Kathy
Did you do it when you were drunk?
Aaron Clancy
No, but I probably got drunk shortly after.
Susan
Why did you do it?
Danny Shapiro
Huh?
Aaron Clancy
I just, you know, I just thought it was aesthetic and I thought, you know, when I go like this.
Kathy
Are you close with your family?
Danny Shapiro
Yeah.
Kathy
Here's what it is. When somebody, he meets somebody, a girl in a bar, and he can't remember his family names, he goes, hold on, give me a mirror. Oh, yeah, her name. And he looks at the initials and that helps him figure out who.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, I spray a little cologne right here and I go, what was that? What was your name? And she likes the jawline and the tattoo. It's kind of aesthetic. Like. I got a routine.
Kathy
Sure.
Susan
That's your game, baby.
Kathy
Susan, wait. Don't say anything, Aaron. I'm gonna Ask you, Susan, what do you think? Because I would have guessed it now, after meeting you, Aaron, what do you think his favorite holiday is? Or at least what I read. What do you think his favorite holiday?
Aaron Clancy
You would have guessed it. You would have guessed after that.
Kathy
I would have guessed it in a heartbeat.
Susan
How would you guess it?
Kathy
How?
Aaron Clancy
Well, you can't. I would give it away. If she tells you.
Kathy
Yeah.
Aaron Clancy
But yeah, just guess.
Kathy
What's his favorite holiday?
Danny Shapiro
Christmas.
Aaron Clancy
Taking everything you've seen and heard.
Susan
Fourth of July.
Kathy
No, honey. Halloween. Halloween. If you'd me, I will say Halloween. No doubt.
Susan
That's my.
Aaron Clancy
I'm a creepy guy. I'm a creepy guy. I will say 4th of July is a close second though, because. Yeah, I love an excuse to start drinking in the morning. I can't lie.
Susan
Drinking the AM 1030 to celebrate.
Kathy
Wait, I. I have two more questions for you. One, and don't get this one wrong, Aaron, do not screw this up. Who would you like to see be the next Golden Bachelorette?
Aaron Clancy
You guys for sure. Without a doubt, Kathy and Susan. After this, I'll post on my Instagram. I'll start campaigning for you guys.
Kathy
All right, now, in seriousness, for. What are you doing for Christmas?
Aaron Clancy
Just hang out. Family time. Just some, you know, wholesome, wholesome living.
Susan
Are they local?
Aaron Clancy
I'm in San Diego, so. Yeah, it's two hour drive.
Susan
It's my favorite place, San Diego.
Aaron Clancy
It's like the best. It's. But my. My buddy did tell me it is for college kids and retired people, so they like to get ahead. I gotta kind of get out of here a little bit. You can relive the same day over and over and over. You know, it's a good day.
Susan
Groundhog Day.
Aaron Clancy
I grew up. I grew up in city of Walnut. It's like next to Chino Hills, Diamond Bar, Louisiana. Area. Moved out here for college and just stayed because it's just like. It's the best. But I know, yeah, it's just like, you know, all your friends live close by. Like I was in Pacific beach, so it was kind of like a walkable vibe. What beach is right there? Pacific Beach.
Kathy
Pacific Beach. Yeah.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, it's like the beach is right there. The bars everywhere, you know, know everyone.
Kathy
I don't know about you, Susan, but I'm hearing a lot about bars.
Susan
Yes, he likes to start early.
Aaron Clancy
Anyways. I like to drink sometimes.
Susan
I'm a terrible drinker.
Danny Shapiro
Terrible.
Aaron Clancy
Do I cook?
Kathy
Yeah.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah. I started cooking because you would start. I wanted. I. I wanted someone to cook for me and the best way to get something to cook for you is cooking for them. And I started really liking it.
Susan
I like it.
Kathy
What's your best dish?
Aaron Clancy
I would just say, like a steak. No, I. You know what I do is I now I go on like social media, like tick tock or Instagram reels or something. I see like some crazy, like, dish that looks so good.
Susan
Like, you try it.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, I try because it's like, where would I buy that? I can never buy it. So I have to make it. And so. And so I'll make it. And I'm like, holy crap, it's the best thing ever. I'm a fantastic cook. Am I really good at everything? And I look at myself in the mirror and I don't blink. And the answer is yes.
Susan
Yes, of course, darling.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah.
Susan
Anyways, do you ever have bad days that the mirror does?
Aaron Clancy
This is a bad day. Today's a bad day.
Kathy
No, you're talking with us.
Aaron Clancy
Oh, this, this is the best part of a bad day. Because before this had the scarlet fever. I was in bed fighting off the grim reaper song.
Susan
That sucks.
Kathy
I would say. What was your major in college?
Aaron Clancy
International business. Was like an econ before switch it up. Should have been bouncer or.
Kathy
Or how about tattoo art?
Susan
So I could see.
Kathy
You can get them for free. Tattoo artists get them for free.
Susan
You'd have to go to the gym.
Danny Shapiro
Okay.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, I would. I would have to stop eating the 2.5 pound weights, which, by the way, that's why no one can find them because I eat them.
Susan
You eat them. That's what I. Yeah. And yet eight pounds is heavy for me.
Kathy
And yet he has beautiful white teeth.
Susan
Oh, he's gorgeous.
Aaron Clancy
He's gorgeous.
Kathy
I deadlift 50 pound kettlebells.
Aaron Clancy
There we go.
Susan
She's going to show off. Does push ups. I can do them off the beura, but I can't do them off the floor.
Aaron Clancy
No, I used to. I used to power lift right after swimming and it's just like I got, I got. I was able to lift really heavy, actually, but I got. You just kind of get over it because it's like, it's tough on the joints, you know, it's like when I was on Paradise, I was jacked.
Kathy
Yeah. But Aaron, let me just tell you. Here's my PSA for you for today. When you get to be a certain age and Susan and I are there, it becomes about protecting your bones and your muscle and balance. So don't give up weightlifting. I'm telling you, it's important.
Aaron Clancy
Yeah, well, I. When I say I gave up, it was. It was kind of a joke, but it was like, I don't lift every day anymore.
Susan
It's, like, building, right?
Narrator/Host
Yeah.
Aaron Clancy
And like. And, like, I'm still, like, I was £230 for. For, like, years.
Kathy
That's not a lot for your height.
Aaron Clancy
Well, it's a lot because I'm playing pickleball and moving so much that my, like, knees and stuff, it just feels just. My body didn't want to be that heavy, so I dropped down, like, 210 and. 210, and it feels really good.
Susan
So 20 pounds. How did you do that?
Aaron Clancy
Just, you know, I started or I started lifting just a few times a month or, like, once a week, but. But I played pickleball three, four hours every day.
Kathy
You play in the league?
Aaron Clancy
No, I'm a member of a few clubs. I. I just, like. I'm like. I play with a lot of people, so.
Kathy
Okay, Susan, I'm here to tell you, this guy, he's handsome, he's articulate, he's got great smile, and he plays pickleball, and he goes out to bars. This guy's got women up and down each arm. He's just BSing us today. Am I right?
Aaron Clancy
Can you tell?
Susan
I could sit here and talk to you all day long.
Aaron Clancy
I agree. I could talk to you guys, too. This is probably the best podcast they've ever recorded.
Kathy
Excuse me, Susan. Would you repeat that, Aaron, for. Because we want to use that for a cut. Go ahead. Say that again.
Aaron Clancy
What was it again about the best podcast?
Susan
I said I could talk to you all day long, and you said, yeah.
Aaron Clancy
I could talk to you guys, too. I mean, this conversation's amazing. I feel like this is the best podcast they've ever recorded.
Susan
You know what? Because we're real and we ask real questions. No, you know, it is.
Kathy
I mean, listen, we got a wrap here in a minute or two, but do you have a father or an uncle who's available?
Aaron Clancy
I don't. I wish I did, because that would be great, but I just simply don't.
Kathy
I mean, you and I'd be family.
Aaron Clancy
I know. It would be fun.
Susan
We could still be friends. And you know what? I hate to do this part, but that's it for today's episode. We actually have to say goodbye. But thank you so much for joining us and anything exciting happening in your life, give us a ring and we'll have you back on.
Kathy
Yeah.
Aaron Clancy
No. Amazing. You guys have been great. Thank you for having me. This has been super fun. It's been a long time since I've done anything like this. So good to know I still got it.
Susan

What I would do if I didn't.
Aaron Clancy
Feel like I was being accepted is choose an identity that other people can't have.
