V E N D Y B L E N D. Yes. And then we made. We made up the name. It's a reverse vendor expo. I used to do these in person for a job I had. It was so fun because the shoppers pay nothing. They only benefit. It's actually the vendors who. Who pay to have you shop with them at a discount that they offer in offering door.

So me and Heather are the middlemen. We bring the shoppers to the vendors. The.

[Heather]

It was the SEM group members four years ago came up with this idea. They said, you know, you guys have us. Can you barter us with these shops to see if they'd offer a discount. I think the first year we had and I was. I was.

It was.

I think it was like 37 vendors. And it was.

That's pretty good.

[Heather]

That's pretty good for the voices. Sorry, puberty happened this morning. So the first and I was floored. And everyone said, wow, this is actually really fun. We'd love to do it again. I was like, okay. So then the next year, I think we maybe got into the 50s of.

The number of vendors.

[Heather]

Sure, I'm sure it was 20% off. Last year we had 72 vendors, which was overwhelming. Like, it was ecstatic. There's some great shops and they were running 20% off. And then unfortunately for the vendors, one person said, this is such a fun day. Some of These vendors run 20% off all year long.

[Cory]

You know what? You're not wrong.

[Heather]

So this year we said, let's potentially break this entire concept. Enforce the hand at truly a discount. You don't typically see is. In fact, I was talking to Ruthanne Gams. You've been seeing your picture in the group for the giveaways. And I was like, yeah, we changed it. First of all, I talked about the vending blendy. And she glazed over Krispy Kreme dough.

Excuse me.

I was like, what do you think this the vendibly is? And she was like, I think it's a mixer. Like a type of blend. Like a blender. I was like, oh, that's fair. I said, but it's not. But anyways, I said we were doing 20 off and then now we're doing 25. She said, for some reason in my brain, 25% means a fourth of it I don't have to pay for. And that's so much different than 20%, which feels so small.

Yeah, because that means you're paying for 80%.

Well, 20% means like, I gotta get five loafs to get to the hole. 25% means only need four loaves. My brain, 25% is like, I need that.

So we were willing to risk it for the biscuit and sacrifice. We thought maybe it wouldn't work.

[Heather]

Yeah, I thought we were gonna break.

[Cory]

But I said, you know what? I said, if they don't chomp at 25%. I'm not doing it.

Yeah. So we started promotion earlier to see if we could get these vendors to take a risk here.

[Cory]

It was a little risky.

[Heather]

It was a risk. And I would say. And I was like, you know, Corey, if we. I even said, if we don't reach the minimum of like, 50, I don't think we should do this, because clearly that 25% off was just too much. Yeah. Happy to report the numbers. We, as of today, have 70 vendors. I'm working with a final vendor, 78. And that will probably close us off. I had a couple bigger names you guys asked me to reach out to. If they reach back out, I'll deal with it then. But 77 vendors today running 25% off. They had the option to run more, and I would say a third of them have chosen that same.

That's a lot. So one thing that we see in the sugar cookie marketing group is people like. I was so overwhelmed. This is to unoverwhelm you, because this is by design.

Strategy by design. The Vendi Blendy is intended to overwhelm.

Wouldn'T want to pay. I. I'm an Easy passive person. I don't want to pay the price of the picky person when I'm just the passive person.

The people who don't want it. You're actually not wasting your time for something their money. So I would say it would be a nice add on option that would be for me. They were going to actually pull out and move to Tysons too. But everyone got really upset so they moved to a different spot in Tyson. It was also one of the first Microsoft stores which actually closed because nobody liked Microsoft stores.

It was the first Tesla store. Yeah. They weren't allowed to sell Teslas. Yeah. We were able to sit in it. That Tesla store closed.

Wild. You just walk in. There's one Tesla in there that you could sit in.

Yeah. I think it's one of the first lucid motor stores. And you can still sit in that.

But the mid mid rain. It's a whole vibe. If you've never been to a Rainforest Cafe, you're going to be broke.

Cheesecake and key lime pie were good.
