This is very powerful people, this entire reconciliation. And look, President Trump, we've got President Trump's back. I'm not sure we're going to agree with everything with President Trump. Right? We're just not. Because I am adamant that right now with the financial situation of the country, right, we need to get these populist tax cuts in there. We need no tax on tips, no tax on wages. And quite frankly, the most important and the most expensive is no tax on Social Security. Okay? It's ridiculous. It's ridiculous. You bet. And all the, all the, all, all they do is they're all over, you know, the twelve hundred dollar check people get. They're all over, they want to get into Untitled said, you're not going to cut entitlements in this country until you show the American people that you can take care of discretionary spending and we can get the tax structure right. The American people, the one thing the little guy's got is a contract that contracts with Social Security, with Medicare and they're not prepared to give it up. As their financial adviser, Goldman Sachs would say, no, you're not, you're going to get, you're going to get as much leverage and you're going to get as much for that as possible. If there has to be at some point in time, some movement, and I'm not saying it has to be, but if it is, you're going to get a big pound of flesh for that. Okay? So that has to be. But when you look at everything that has to happen, somebody has to show me the math that how do you not increase taxes on corporations? Hey, don't increase taxes on, on, on, on the wealthy. I hate to say it, and I realize people say tax, you can't taxes, but the corporations feed at the trough. The reason the budget's so high is that the corporations are in there with their lobbyists getting all these tax breaks and special deals. The corporations Entirely don't only pay 500 billion of the four and a half trillion, only 500 billion comes from taxes. I'm just saying, because they got pretty powerful lobbyists right now. If they had taken all those tax cuts and put them back into plant and equipment and brought jobs back here, maybe it's an argument, but they didn't. They spent almost all the money on stock buybacks. And stock buybacks just takes equity out of the market. And what it does, it drives the stock price up. So there weren't an option packages come in. That's gaming the system. That's not what those tax cuts were meant for. And to me that's got to stop. It's just got to stop. The American public are not going to get a fair deal. And it's not just about raising the marginal tax rates. There ought to be taxes on these financial transactions. There's all types of very smart ways. The carried interest. Now carried interest is not going to generate a tremendous amount of cash, but it's the principle of the thing. Why should you guys? On every marginal dollar you pay at your, at whatever your bracket is, you're paying that marginal dollar. And the carried interest, the hedge fund guys, the billionaires, what they do is they pay capital gains tax on the current income that they derive from the management fee. Remember when you have these companies, you get a management fee of a couple of percentage to manage the assets, then you basically get 20% of the ups, right? That's the standard. Like I said, hedge funds, not a different business, just a different pay structure, right? And that's where everybody gets into a hedge fund. But it's for years it's been, they pay at a capital gains rate. Just not fair. You guys, if you think about the great tragedy of how we got in this space and it took us a long time to get here, but the working class and middle class in this country, first off, you do all the work to kind of keep the country going, right? You do all those small things from the churches to the Lions Club, to coach the little League, you know, to the, to the boy and Boy Scouts and girl Scouts or at least the old school Boy Scouts and girl Scouts. But all those things in the community that Edmund Burke called the little platoons, that's what is civic society in this country, right? Plus you pay the lion's share of the bulk of all the taxes. And then in addition, your pension fund, a little bit of money you've been able to put aside is in these big pools of capital which I have a Problem with. But those pools of capital are what they use to create the Zuckerbergs, to create the ghouls. Right? With, with no fare thee well to you guys. And not just that the bulk of your money in the pension funds, in private equity and in, in, in the hedge funds went to ship all the jobs overseas. The country was gutted by Wall street over a period of 20, 30, 40 years. That sent it over and then cut the most favored nation deal with China. The post war international rules based order which your grandfathers and grandfathers delivered with the victory in World War II and Rosie the Riveter delivered with the women going to work and us becoming the arsenal democracy. That victory over time set up a system, that the system was gamed by the elites in this country to enrich themselves. You just don't come about. And this is why it's so hard to change. And this is why President Trump is a battering ram. He's a, he's a, a blunt force instrument that's going to deliver blunt force trauma. Right? But, but if you see it, they're not going to give up the system. The top, the top what, 1% own something like 80 or 85% of the assets in the country. The other, the top 5%, 3, 5% almost own 95% or 90%. When you, when you put the value that's. You can't go on like that. You just can't go on. You see that seething anger, which I disagree with, but I say that seething anger that, that led that rich kid to gun down the guy in the back. Remember that guy, the gut. The guy got gunned down as a working class kid from Iowa, right, Who just tried to make, you know, try to make his life better. He shot in the back and the gut and now the cheering the kid on. Right. It shows you though. But you've got to address what's driving that anger. And one is the lived experience of the American people. This system just can't go on. What we have is a capitalist system with no capitalist right. Everybody's got to have a stake in this. Every citizen has to have a stake in it. The problem is in the way the system set up. The global elites, the party of Davos have a bigger stake in your country than you have. It's just not going to work. If we're, if we're to do anything, we've got to unravel that system and get it back that we're not socialists. We're the exact opposite. We believe in entrepreneurial capitalism, what we don't believe is, is kind of this late stage high finance speculative capitalism. We believe in productive capitalism, which money goes back to companies, money goes back to entrepreneurs, so that all your side hustles actually can become your main hustle with a little bit of capital. Right. Look, it's not going to be. There's not going to sit there. Oh, Steve, that's so brilliant. Why don't we just toss you the keys, you guys do what you want. That's not going to happen.
