Sir well, Steve, that's an absolutely great summation. And essentially what we're seeing right now are extraordinary measures being taken by the CCP, both in terms of fiscal as well as monetary, so called stimulus. In other words, the government over in China is spending the equivalent of trillions of US Dollars in order to try to prop up their failing economy. And it's failing for the exact reasons that you mentioned, Steve, that they're trying to have capitalism, but only quasi capitalism with really what is state overseeing, or essentially almost like a kind of fascism where the government is trying to tell private actors and everything they can and can't do in the private economy. It clearly doesn't work. It hasn't worked. And they've been surviving off of the wealth transfer that you just described, Steve, where they're essentially siphoning wealth off of the American middle class and giving it to the people in China. But that's all coming to an end now. And so they're just spending money they don't have. Their central bank is printing money in order to pay for all of that unfunded spending. And the result is that they are issuing tons and tons of new debt, except there's no one to buy that debt. So who's buying it? The Chinese central bank. And that's why yields on Chinese debt have absolutely collapsed. We actually saw the exact same thing here during COVID Despite the fact that the government was again spending trillions of dollars it didn't have yields on Treasuries fell because the Fed essentially pledged to buy all of that debt. We also saw the exact same thing at the outbreak of World War I in Great Britain when they held, they pretended to hold really these bond rallies where they would get people to buy the debt of the British government. And that was supposed to be a sign of people's confidence in the British pound and in the British government, the fact that the yields on that debt were falling. Except it turned out that 100 years later, documents were finally released showing that the bank of England was the chief purchaser of all of that government debt. In other words, there was no confidence in the pound, there was no confidence in the British government, and it was simply the bank of England again buying all of that debt. So we're seeing the exact same thing today in China. That's why the yields on Chinese debt have absolutely collapsed. It's not because people all of a sudden have confidence in the Chinese regime. They don't. Instead, again, it's the central bank stepping in and printing the money to pay for all of this Chinese debt. Now the question is, how is this going to impact Americans? Right, because we're about America first. The problem here is that this devaluation of the Chinese yuan, the renminbi, is going to give their exporters another big advantage over American domestic producers because it's going to affect the relative value of those currencies. In other words, it will make it look like Chinese goods are even cheaper than they already are. So one of the things that the Chinese Communist Party aims to achieve right now in all of these monetary maneuvers is again, to further rob the American people of our ability to compete with them on the world stage. And this is something that was going on back during the first Trump administration. The previous Treasury Secretary, Mnuchin, was supposed to be all over it. He only was for a little bit, and then kind of gave up with policing the currency manipulations by the Chinese Communist Party. And I think Scott Bessen is gonna do a much better job than Steve Mnuchin did of really staying on top again, of all the monetary manipulations out of the Chinese Communist Party. And we're gonna have to not only stay on top of it, but we're gonna have to punish these bad actors as they try to manipulate currency markets and. And give their exporters an unfair advantage over our domestic producers. This is about protecting American industry and protecting American jobs and therefore American people.

E.J. Antoni (10:12)

E.J. are they. Are. Dr. Antoni. Are they doing this to front load and get ahead of. They know President Trump's gonna come in with tariffs. They understand he's gonna renegotiate these trade deals. Are they trying to do this to get ahead of it, to make sure that they're even, not even more competitive, but they're basically loading up the debt to undercut prices. So this is where their state capitalism comes in. Is this to get ahead of what? They know President Trump with Navarro and Bessant are going to go, Steve, that's.

Scott Besson (10:47)

A great way to put it. It's very similar to when retailers will jack up their prices right before Black Friday and then they have a so called Black Friday sale where the prices are now 25% off. Okay, but you just raised the prices 25% the week or the month before. So it's not really a sale at all. The Chinese are trying, the Chinese Communist Party is trying to do the same thing here. So they're essentially going to make their exports even more artificially cheap than they already are so that when the currently proposed tariffs get actually put into place, it essentially just resets the chessboard so that they're hoping that things will be right back to where they were a month or two ago. Again, this is where I'm very, very hopeful that Trump, that Besant, that Navarro will be all over this. And one of the key ways I think that we can keep an eye on this, Steve, is something that Judy Shelton highlighted not that long ago in a recent book of hers where she talked about the currency manipulations that countries like China are engaged in. And a good way to monitor that would be to look at how much gold does the dollar buy versus how much gold does the renminbi buy. And as you see the renminbi falling behind gold faster than the US Dollar, that is a good numeraire. In other words, it's a good objective standard by which you can measure both currencies to see which is devaluing faster. Now that's not to say that the dollar has been great against gold. It clearly hasn't. That's one of the reasons why so many people, including myself, have been recommending that people buy gold as an inflation hedge. However, the Chinese renminbi has been even worse and it's a sign that they are trying to devalue their currency even faster than we have devalued our currency here. And again, the aim there is to give themselves an unfair advantage in global markets. And so you can very easily then tie a kind of tariff or a non tariff barrier to the the relative gold price of different currencies. In other words, if you Chinese Communist Party are gonna devalue your currency relative to gold, relative to the US dollar, then we are going to impose a tax on everything you send to this country that makes up for the difference. If you're gonna allow your currency to fall, to lose, let's say half of its value, then we're gonna put 100% tax on that in order to again reset the playing field and try to put us on a level playing field. And again, all of this goes back to this idea that they are going to try to make up for the inherent failures within their system by siphoning wealth off of the American middle class, as you articulated. Steve.

Yeah, E.J. can you hang over one second? I just want to hold you for a few minutes after this break. Beggar thy neighbor in military might. Frank Gaffney and the team over there showing that they're having a bigger military buildup for dollars than Hitler had in the starting in the mid-1930s. It's happening on our watch. This is what President Trump's walking into. Now, I want to bring you guys back to an article from, Believe it or not, the Washington Post In 1996, before I was born. But let's read that headline, Illegal Immigrants Feeding Wildfire Epidemic in California. Now, very rarely do I unironically quote the Washington Post on war room, but hey, it's 2025 new year, new me. Illegal immigrants who hike through the rugged, forested mountains of eastern San Diego county after making it across the border are causing a dramatic surge in wildfires because of the fires they light when camping out in the area, state and county officials said today. Now, this is a quote. Now, I know we're talking about San Diego, which is about what, an hour, hour and a half south, including LA traffic. So it's actually not that far. But I think we know under Joe Biden, these numbers have only multiplied by a radical, radical, radical increment. But are you ready? Quote, it's a disaster waiting to happen, said Diane Jacob, a member of the Board of Supervisors representing eastern San Diego County. I don't think it's a matter of if we have a major human catastrophe. It's a case of when, if something isn't done immediately. Well, I'll bring you flash forward to this year. Now, someone had to foia cal fire for data. This was up sort of near Santa Barbara area. From May 1 through June 1 of 2024, there were eight fires along the border. Do you know how many of those were tied to illegal border crossers? And the only one that wasn't, I guess I just gave it away. It was seven of them. But the only one that wasn't, it's only because the cause was undetermined. And I guess it started in Mexico, so you could choose how you want to categorize that. And then In July of 2024, an illegal immigrant deported 3. Sorry, illegal alien. Got to get my nomenclature right. Deported three times. Set a California fire that killed a mother and her two young children. See where I'm going with this? And like I said, as someone who was born and raised in LA in a house that is now under currently evacuation orders. For those of you who spent time in la, you know what the whole beach scene is like. The Malibu area where all these famous historic restaurants have burned down. It's homeless people. It's people parked out and camped out in cars. I mean, there are fires just waiting to happen. There's clips all over social media of mentally ill homeless people, illegal aliens setting fires for just no known reason. And the police officers don't do anything about it. Not to go anecdotal, but my parents who still live there, take my wonderful dog Rosie on a walk on the beach. Every single morning. They'll go for walks. There'll be homeless people in tent encampments, which is illegal per Santa Monica law. The police never enforced it. There's dozens, dozens. I'm talking about 60 plus homeless people. Probably illegal aliens, too. You can tell sitting there. They never enforce the law, but they come up to my parents and they say, you aren't allowed to walk your dog on the beach. You're being fined. That's the America that you live in. That's the value of citizenship, I guess. At least they know you have money. So then they can, what, tax you and charge you with a crime? Because, hey, at least they know you'll be able to pay. Because in other words, you don't have papers. You're an illegal alien. That's what it's like living in California, right? That's what happens when you have Democrat supermajority rule for so long. I mean, Newsom is responsible for more destruction right now than anything that allegedly happened on January 6th. Right? And I guess they'd say, oh, well, hey, Democrat super majority rule. It's so great. At least you can get, what, an elective abortion at 9 months post birth? Hey, at least your kid can transition at age 6 months. How about this? At least your driver's license in California. You can now be non binary and use what the pronouns you know, zer. Except the thing that they don't tell you is that that Driver's license is probably going to be what you're using to escape a fiery inferno. Then you're going to have to abandon your car because the roads are so poorly maintained and the urban planning by all these brilliant, Harvard educated expert elites that are running the city of Los Angeles don't know what they're doing. And by the way, it's a fire that never should have even happened in the first place. I want to put a video of Gavin Newsom, if you haven't picked up. He's the guy we're going after on this show. Justifiably so. Next to me now, do you guys remember? And you can just keep playing it. When Steve was in prison, like a true man, I believe I sat here, had something to do with immigration. And I sat here and I said, the Democrats version of masculinity is making you sit in a cuck chair and watch the destruction of your country, the degradation and mental illness propaganda spreading against your children. And they want you to sit there and take it and do nothing about it. And that video of Gavin Newsom is that version of masculinity to a T. I'm so glad, dude, that you got the photo op. So glad. You know, it's almost as good as when Kamala Harris went down to the border for a day, introduced the word sovereignty to her vocabulary. Now it's apparently gone. But you're responsible for this. And just last month you plotted with all of your stupid Democrat legislators. You had a special emergency session. Have you called a special emergency session about this fire? I don't think so. But you called it so you could plot against Trump, let that sink in. And by the way, it was what, a $25 million taxpayer subsidized justice fund so illegals wouldn't get supported yet. Probably the same illegals that I'm sure, and mark my words, will probably find out a few years from now started this fire. I tell Facebook to fact check me, but what I hear, they don't have their fact checking programs anymore. You know, you want to talk about preemptive pardons, what was it? Was it you? Gavin Newsom? In 2020, Trump signed an executive order diverting water from Northern California to cities and farmers in the South. They wanted to put it down in the city. And Gavin Newsom immediately filed suit to, quote, protect highly imperiled fish species close to extinction. Yet maybe you should be added to the preemptive pardon list too, at this. Absolutely disgusting. We got more clips that we're gonna be playing, but I think we have the one and only Mike Cernovich joining us. Mike, if we have you, always an honor to have you on War Room. I was looking at my text, I think was 2023, you were last on. We got a few minutes left in this break before we get to. I think you're calling for what federal takeover of California before we make the case for that. You are in California right now, I think the Laguna beach area. Can you sort of give the audience an overview what it's like of your friends in the area where we stand now with.

Yeah, luckily for us, we're further south in Republican Orange county and. But we've had multiple friends have to evacuate the Palisades. Multiple people who worked at Breitbart have had to leave their houses because the. And Peachy Keen, she's, you know, great Twitter person. She was in. Well, she, she said she was near Pasadena. So I'm not, I'm not doxxing her or anything like that. So the fires are so out of control now that they. So to people who don't know the California landscape well, which is obvious because when people argue with me about California, it's pretty clear that they don't. You have the Palisades, which is in one of the most desirable places to live in the country and in the world. And it's a little bit north of Malibu, but it's in the Malibu area. It's very mountainous, it's very rural. I remember because I went to law school at Pepperdine being surprised at how rural Malibu was because if you grew up anywhere else, you hear Malibu and you think it must be this glitzy place. But in fact, it was. It was rural. It looked very. People would ride horses. There's a lot of trails. So when these wildfires hit, they just jump. They just jump house to house and they go through all of this dried forest that hasn't been well maintained. And then the fire just kept spreading south and it's also reached because of the winds, Pasadena and Santa Monica, which is huge. We're talking a 40 mile area. Nobody thought that fires would get this bad because there had always been fires in Malibu. Everybody knew this. It was always a risk, but they would be contained. So this is going all the way up from the Palisades. If you have a map, people can look at the map. Pacific Palisades, all the way south, putting Santa Monica in danger and then also heading east, putting Pasadena in danger. Which is, which, which is bizarre. I mean, it really is a cataclysm.

No, it really is. Is so unprecedented. Mike, before we go to break, just give me a minute. Your sort of overarching thoughts. Our theory of the case here in war room, the state has been mismanaged. You know, I'm from Santa Monica from start to finish, starting with Gavin Newsom, all the way down to the DEI hires and all the woke stuff, if you want to, you know, entertain that. But your. Your thoughts on if you think that this really calls into question the leadership in California and Los Angeles.

Yeah. There needs to be a federal response. One of the persons who I think deserves a lot of blame for this and a lot of rancor. I think we need to not be nice to these people is Maria shriver. Even though RFK Jr is MAHA now, there's an alliance there that family members who attacked him, there were Kennedys who are on the city council of Santa Monica. These people have been ground zero for the destruction of California. Their liberalism has been ground. Not RFK Jr. But the Kennedy family. So I'm saying that, you know, we gotta be careful how we talk about it because we don't want to insult RFK Jr. S family. But people like Maria Shriver and them are saying, oh, can't believe it. What do you mean you can't believe? You vote for Karen Bass instead of Rick Caruso. Instead of voting for visionary real estate developer who is basically a Democrat, he was an RFK junior kind of guy. There was no. There was no reason to not vote for Caruso. And so you vote for Karen Bass.

War room got to get up to speed on government gangsters before the cash confirmation hearings commence, which, as we have suggested, need to start January 21st. The very latest. We are still joined by the one and only Mike Cernovich, who is in California right now. Mike, I sort of want to pick up where we left off, but sort of through this lens of, you know, Rick Caruso versus Karen Bass for people who don't know who exactly these people are, I think that's sort of an interesting insider jumping off point to more broadly demonstrate how California, Los Angeles politics have contributed to the situation that we're seeing unfold right now. Your thoughts?

Mike Cernovich (30:07)

Right, so I'll do a flashback and old, an old man, an old guy flashback. So 20 or 30 years ago, you know, the first time I saw California, all I could think of was, was, wow, what is this place? Everywhere you would look around, there was new developments. There was a good balance between old and new. The people were in great shape. Everywhere you looked, you were in awe. And Rick Russo was one of the developers in Southern California. He did the before Calabasas got famous from the Kardashians, he developed Calabasas. He developed a grove which was a big plaza. And he was known for using a lot of water features and making blending shop. Not to sound like an architect, but blending the water features and feeling like you're kind of in nature, kind of in a courtyard while also commercial shopping. He was visionary. I think he's a billionaire by now. But I watched his profile grow over the past, say, 30 years and he wanted to be mayor of Los Angeles. He was somebody who had had a proven track record, knew how to build, knew how to run budgets, was a philanthropist. He's given so much, like crazy amounts of money away. I sometimes on Exit's funny, you'll see these guys that are billionaires and they'll throw around a few thousand dollars or they'll try to show up to Milagro and try to buy their way in with a million dollars, you know, after they give 500 million to Democrats and then they want to show their faces at Mar a Lago with these little, you know, penny any checks based on their net worth. And I always find that a joke. And with Caruso, this guy, he was a true man of the people, a great philanthropist and a Democrat, frankly. But our politics wouldn't agree. But I live in California, so I'm realistic about what you can get. And then Karen Bass was just a dei Kamala Harris person, propped up her whole career, if you want to call it that. No genuine achievement, no genuine accomplishment. Caruso ran for mayor. He ran how you would have to run for California, which, if you're a purist outside of California, not a great idea always to comment about California politics. He was ahead. And then what happened on election night when he was ahead? More votes came in from the unions, more ballots have been found, and then overnight, his lead collapsed and he lost. If you believe he lost. But either way, it shouldn't have been close. Absolutely shouldn't have been close. And maybe if the election had been had this prior cycle where Prop 36, the crime reform initiative, passed 70, 30, maybe he would have won. But this was a choice. And here's where I don't want to sound cruel, I don't want to sound gribble, because people I do business myth have lost their homes in Palisades. Close, close friends of mine have lost everything. Their houses are gone. The schools they send their kids to are gone. This is a traumatic thing, right? And then people say, don't politicize it. And I say, I understand that those people, those people who love America, I love them and I truly feel for them, okay? The writers and the Hollywood people who live in the Palisades and have profited off of the corruption in California at 70, 30 Democrat. So they didn't want to recall Newsom. They voted for Kamala Harris. My God, imagine if they had gotten their way. They supported Karen Bass, the Kennedy family, city council members in Santa Monica. They did this. And we're just supposed to pretend like they didn't. And we're just supposed to say, oh, I don't want to. I don't want to bring up the fact that this is a Democrat super majority. Let's just kumbaya and pretend like they didn't do it, didn't vote for. They did. So I don't want to see people like Marie Shriver showing her face saying, Anything I want to see people saying, what are you talking about? You voted for that. And they go, well, you didn't vote for fires. Oh, but you voted for Karen Bass instead of Caruso. You voted for people who can't keep water and fire hydrants. I mean, I know you come to California, we had record floods. The water just poured right in the ocean. No way to capture it. They were gonna build all this green New Deal stuff. They didn't do that. They couldn't build basins. So this is what Democrat supermajority gets us. So that's the case that I'm making for federal takeover of California. I know that Trump is being a little cheeky when he talks about Canada being a 51st state. And I think the reaction that Pierre, the Apple leader and others have is amusing. But California is a state under the Constitution. There's a case to be made that the federal government needs to come in to enforce the civil rights of the people, to act in a Reconstruction kind of manner. So I want the Trump administration. I'm a citizen and resident of California. I want the Trump administration to exercise its constitutional power to come in and fix all the election fraud. They have this authority. They have this authority under the 14th Amendment, Section 5. They have the authority to enforce the rights, the civil rights of me, the citizens, which is being deprived by the state government of California, where people can't trust the elections, where somehow these Orange County Republican areas all went Democrat, even though everywhere else was trending for Trump. But somehow Michelle Steele lost her election, even though she didn't run a good race. And I said that to their faces and they wouldn't listen to me. So I don't know what to tell Scott. Bao lost his. I don't know. So I am unironically. This isn't me being cheeky. When I'm talking about Canada being a state. I'm goofing off because I know it annoys the Canadians. I'm not joking. I want the. I want the federal government under Trump to come in and clean the state up. And they have the constitutional authority to do so.

Obviously, msnbc, media matters, take your pick. They'll be melting down over that. But to that point, we opened the show with a clip from MSNBC where they're already somehow indirectly trying to blame Trump for this, saying that he withheld disaster aid and the whole Gavin Newsom back and forth over wildfire response. So where do you think there is either the proven track record on the Trump side that shows that he would be up to task to do this better than Gavin Newsom or conversely. I know you've been tweeting up a storm all day, but I mean, when you really dig in, whether it's the salaries or just the abject failure and the prioritization, I always think DEI is too sort of cheeky a term. It's everything that's anti straight white male. It's anti whiteness to its core. But make the case, contrary to what MSNBC is saying, that Trump has botched emergency response, pandemic response.

But then they could say, well, it's not our fault, which is what Democrats do. Don't do anything that somehow might lead to a very low risk of a bad outcome because you might get blamed. Just let the druggies burn this stuff. Most of the Bernie's already talked about climate change. Even if people believe in that, which I hope nobody watching this thinks, it's man made, but even. Let's just assume it is, okay? Assume it is. Okay. Okay, Master Bernie, it is. There's no water in the fire hydrants, bro. This is a Democrat problem. The LA Fire Department's budget was cut by Mayor Karen Bass, who was mayor instead of Rick Russo. The homelessness budget was $1.3 million allocated. So we're giving more money to the homeless industrial money laundering complex than we are to the fire department. The fire department is not physically fit like it used to be. It used to be if you lived. I mean, California's changed so much in 30 years. It's unrecognizable. It used to be if you went to the gym, a lot of the local gyms would give the fire department guys a free gym membership, and Pepperdine would let the local guys work out. And they were strong guys, strong, fit guys. And then you look at what they have now. It's not that. It's not that anymore. So we have a competency crisis. We have a strength crisis. We don't have people who can run. And a lot of them are still good. They've been doing heroic work. So I don't want some loser to try to claim that I'm. A lot of them are still doing good work, but we're undermanned by about half. And these are all due to Democrat policy choices, directly traceable choices. And that's why they want to pretend like. I love how they pretend like they're not in power. That's what they were. Oh, on day one. I'll do this. Kamala Harris. Okay, but you haven't done anything. You haven't gone to the border. Biden, I guess, is still president, although his press conference got cut off short today. So there's no logical way to blame Trump because Trump himself was saying in 2019, people found his old posts then called tweets. Clear the brush. They don't do any of this. Right. Or they do very little. So there's no really blame Trump angle here.

I don't live in the third world and I don't want to import the third world and I don't want my tax dollars to go fund stupid wars in Ukraine. So my house might now might catch on fire and burn down. So what, we can all pat ourselves on the back and say we're a multicultural, eco friendly, climate change friendly country. Yes, screw all that. That's where it gets you.
