A this may be a one day story that said Warren Buffett's belief for a very long time and a lot of other people like me believe for the valuations are not connected to reality. Whether you're talking about crypto or whether you're talking about just how huge the overvaluation is of a lot of stocks. Look, there's no question the market has been almost priced to perfection. It almost has to be perfect for it to all work out or make any kind of sense. And by the way, you talk about crypto and you look at these and big tech stocks, they're almost connected this morning insofar as bitcoin has now fallen below $100,000 in large part because a lot of the folks who own crypto also happen to be beneficiaries or happen to have owned a lot of those big tech companies. I just want to put this in perspective today. This week, last week I think is going to be historic in terms of a major shift, an upending of the entire paradigm around artificial intelligence, the big tech companies, the big chip companies and everything else around it, including energy. You know, for a very long time, last two years, we've talked about these scaling laws, this idea that for AI to get better and better, you need faster and faster chips. They need to be putting tens and hundreds of billions of dollars of investment in place. They need enormous amounts of energy to all of that all of a sudden, literally in a week. We've now seen deep seat, this Chinese large language model emerge where it appears it's all being done at a fraction of the energy at a fraction of the chip usage. He's also the author of Some Future Day, a major new book about artificial intelligence. And our own Joe Allen. I'LL start with Mark. Here's what. So, folks, here's what the big deal was over the weekend. Nobody saw this coming. And whereas OpenAI and our AI, the structure of the way we do AI, the architectonics, I guess, is our architecture of it. It's kind of brute force. It takes massive amount, a massive amount of energy. You notice you haven't seen the apartheid state of Silicon Valley, the progressive leftist that all of a sudden had a Damascene moment, right? They had the road to Damascus when Pennsylvania went to Trump on the evening of the 5th of November. They're now all MAGA. Don't buy that for a second, folks. These guys are not maga. They're incredibly bad units. They've had this model and that's what Stargate, Stargate, which has got all these other issues, you know, vaccine, all that. It also takes a massive amount of energy. I gave a speech in Texas at Denton to the Denton Republicans. Want to thank them. Just incredible group of folks. You know, Texas, you can't get the grid to work when it's 15 degrees. But they're going to come up with a whole new model for energy. Now, what happened over the weekend is the CCP came out with Deep Seek and it like, is a fraction. Now the question is, is this a Sputnik moment or is this a CCP psyop? One thing I can tell you is that you can load this on an app and once again, just like in TikTok, your fellow citizens and somebody's got this up on Twitter, I think your fellow citizens will line up around the corner, around the corner and go back for miles to give the Chinese Communist Party their data for free. As long as they can get free stuff. I'm not sure they fully understand the implications of it. This thing's quite complicated. So, Mark Beckman, you're the expert. Is this a Sputnik moment or is this a very sophisticated CCP psyop, sir.

Steve, thank you so much for having me today. I appreciate it. I appreciate you. I think your skepticism that, that you're kind of alluding to here as far as the issue of trust should be considered by everyone. This isn't an overnight thing. Deep Seq's been around for a while. In fact, its founder is the same founder of a hedge fund called High Flyer that was built in 2016 with AI in mind. I was using DeepSeek this past summer, but they've done an incredible job with communications. They control the narrative on social media. And Americans, like sheep, went right after the Shiny object, the shiny object being value. So for free, they could go and use Deep Seek now. And of course it catapulted to the number one app, the number one downloaded app in the Apple App Store. But there are concerns, and you alluded to it, not just like TikTok, where mass user adoption came in, perhaps because the owners of TikTok were playing with the amount of likes, right? Like you'd get thousands of likes on TikTok and perhaps just hundreds on Instagram. But we've seen this playbook from China across the board with drones recently too with dji, where they could undercut the market, they could create lower price propositions and everybody could come in and buy. And I think that's what we're seeing here. So I'm skeptical, I'm concerned. I think that all the Americans rush in and they want to use it and they're going to use it, but at the same time they're going, China will have access to our data. There's no doubt about it.

So, Mark, hang on for a second. You know, one of our folks in the production crew, one of my young bucks, he's already been trying this. He just, he asked Deep Seek a basic question. What happened in Tiananmen Square in 1989? The response of the most sophisticated artificial intelligence in the world. Sorry, that's beyond, beyond my current scope. Let's talk about something else. So this is a total CCP scam. Here's a question that Mark, you're a very smart guy, dialed in everywhere we've made. We basically in Obama and Biden, not so much Trump because we weren't there that long, but the Obama administration in the, in the, in the bomb administration, Biden administration, the kind of overlord, sociopathic overlords of the Democratic Party, made a deal with the apartheid state in Silicon Valley to say, guys, we will, we will let you become the wealthiest people on Earth and we will let you have monopolistic power. You know, was it Linda Kahn aside? You know, right now there's 50 or 70 EV companies, but there's only Google, right? You got Search with no competitors. You got Facebook with no competitors. So let them have monopolistic power. The Justice Department is never going to try to break these things, break these things up for competition with the, with the proposition that you're going to, you're going to be full spectrum dominance in technology and particularly anything related to an algorithm. So, Andreessen, you guys will make a fortune. Sequoia Capital, you'll make a fortune, all of it. And yet here we are. And correct me if I'm wrong, you have on social media, with TikTok, you have something much more sophisticated than what we have. And now you have Deep Seek. And if you believe at least what the last 24 hours said, you have something radically cheaper, easier to use, and it can overwhelm the market of open air, etc. So the deal we made with these guys was terrible because they didn't deliver, sir.

Well, here's the thing Steve, the way you teed this up, this segment is important. You provided context as it relates to the need for energy, but then also beyond that there's the need for compute and the technology and China's going all in. That clip from Morning Joe is kind of ridiculous in my mind because China's investing trillions of dollars behind energy, compute and technology to compete with these American entities, to compete with Google. And you're gonna see it right here, right now. So most people are going to use deepseek, probably the producer that you were talking about, for search purposes. Most will not use it for API purposes and for search. That's where they're getting all of our data, that's where it's gonna be connected to all of our phones, all of our computers. Exactly the way that you're articulating or seeing TikTok playing out on American citizens devices where their data can be collected, we'll see the same thing here with Deep Seek. And of course because they're undercutting the market, people will use it, it's cost efficient, it's a good tool, it's a good product right now for sure and that's what we're going to see. That's, that's the risk.

Tell me about Some Future Day, your book because your, you have warnings in there and it's very even handed. But correct me if I'm wrong, you see more upside. My concern with AI right now is that we could be looking over the abyss and if we don't watch ourselves and essentially we have 11 year old, the maturity of 11 year olds, young boys in Silicon Valley making these massive decisions for the entire country and therefore the world. But you're a little more optimistic, is it correct that you're a little more optimistic about this technology, sir?

[Joe Allen]

I am, I'm very optimistic about it. And I created, I wrote the book Some Future Day so beginners can figure out how they can leverage the technology to their benefit in their career, for their families and for cities. However, Steve, like you, there are some real concerns, like for example with privacy. I get into this in some future day, are you aware that facial recognition software is already being used in. In a small amount of cases by the Miami Police Department?

The same technology that's used in China, it's number one in China. That same technology is being used right here in America. So privacy is an issue. The other issue is cyber attacks. I mean, artificial intelligence as it relates to cyber attacks coming into the United States is seriously daunting. I think we heard just recently.

Former director of the FBI or the CIA mention the fact that there are sleeper cells, Chinese sleeper cells in the United States. But here in New York City, they're receiving billions of cyber attacks driven through the use of artificial intelligence against the infrastructure. And since we have a decentralized economy where the private sector is running our hospitals, our water supply and beyond, it's much more difficult for New York City to defend itself than it might be, for example, when we go and attack into places like China, into Iran, where they have a centralized vision. So the fact is that my book is good at getting people into AI for their careers if they are into fashion, finance, sports, military. There's an awesome section with regards to the evolution of war, specifically as it relates to drones. I think your audience would love that section in particular. But there are real concerns, Steve, and I know you share a lot of them, and you're right to have those concerns.

But in this regard, performative is good because it's sending signals. But there's so much also going on that's quite to the point and meaningful. It's amazing. But there's something underneath and deeper about the convergence of all these technologies and what it means for Homo sapiens and let's be blunt, Homo sapien plus and you are at the tip of the spear in this fight. This audience is so much more sophisticated about this because for four years we've Had a guy like Joe Allen here every week giving amazing analysis and observations and then writing it is still, I think, the best book about this. Joe, last night you've been, you and I have been all over the weekend talking to each other. First off, explain exactly what is going on and is this the Sputnik moment of the wake up call for American on the technology side and the AI side, or is this a very sophisticated CCP psyop, sir?

Well, Steve, I think it's a bit of both. At this point. The media is so flooded with conflicting information that it's impossible not to see it as multiple psyops at this point, Psyop has come to almost just be a synonym for advertisement or messaging. What happened was that the Chinese company Deepseek released their large language model R1. They open sourced it, which means that you can look at and alter the code, you can download it and put it on your own computer. But more alarmingly, when they released it as an app on Apple for the US it rocketed to number one. I don't have any hard numbers, but that means that a lot of Americans are trusting their data to China. Everything that they're putting into the system goes into a Chinese server. Much of the information that gets gathered from their phones or whatever device is going to a Chinese server. It's very much like TikTok. What's also happening in response, Just speaking of psyops, what this did was undercut all of the promises of US companies from Nvidia to Stargate Project to Elon Musk's GROK and xai, all of that. What the Chinese showed was that it was possible to create an AI that performs about as well as some of the top US models, but produced with far less money, far less compute, and they released it for free. So it's the ultimate sort of release of a generic to undertake.

But hang on, hang on, hang on. This is the linchpin. I want to go back to this. Maybe we get Dave Walsh for tonight. Okay, folks, in an advanced industrial economy, energy and the production of energy is 50% of the game because that provides the foundational element. This is why the German people in Germany, with their elites on all this green New Deal, net zero carbon, all this fantasy they're in, they're in a free fall right now. This is one of the reasons Alternative for Deutschland is on a roll. This is one of the reasons that Elon now is involved in that and supporting Alternative for Deutschland because they are actually a real alternative, not just on the immigration issue. But across the board for rationality, you saw all these progressive Democrats because they're only progressive as performative in front to make your life more miserable and a virtuous signal for themselves. The apartheid state of Silicon Valley, make the robber barons look like Franciscan monks. These are the, they're all on the spectrum. They're all 11 years old, they get mentality, they're all, they're all incredibly immature and it's all about them. They're beyond narcissist. So when they saw artificial intelligence and other things of the push of the singularity all requires massive amounts of energy, particularly in the way they have the models set up, right, These large language models we have, and I would say, Joe, I would call a blunt force instrument, right? We do it by blunt computing powered force. It needs massive amounts of energy, as Dave Walsh has told you, multiples of what we have today. So all of a sudden you don't see as much. They're not as. You don't see a lot of talk about climate change anymore. They're just not interested in it. They got it. They got to get power and get power quickly and massive amounts of it and close to what these data centers are. So when this came out over the weekend, the question is, it's a hundredth of the cost. It looks like a hundredth of the power, all of this. And the question, Joe, do we have, we answered in the Chinese, just like TikTok they're putting out there for free. So all the Americans jump on it and then they've got your. Because essentially it's search, right? Or an aspect of search. They're going to have all your data and then when they can aggregate up that data, they essentially see how people think, what they're interested in it and they can program that and then that's why they then can control the population. And they have the number one instrument in social media with TikTok, which is quite addictive. And we saw what happened during the, during the early stages of the Hamas war. And now you've got the equivalent of AI, which, which, which, you know, also, you know, takes you, you know, it takes you to the pincer move of artificial intelligence in social media. Joe Allen Sputnik moment or, or, or is it a psyop? And I know you say it's both, but which side do you lean on? Because this is the key question right now.

You know, I don't think that it can really be peeled apart. You've got the Sputnik moment. Messaging is itself a kind of psyop so China is trying to show a degree of dominance in AI, and they've done a pretty good job of it, even if their technology is in fact based on OpenAI's research, and even if they are lying ultimately about how much money they've put into it, how much money it costs to train and how many processing units that this system used to train. I mean, Alexander Wayne of Scale AI claimed at Davos that they have far more advanced Nvidia chips than they're saying they do. They just can't say so because of U.S. sanctions. But as far as the Sputnik moment goes, this is why it's very complicated. It's hard to tease apart. You already saw the competition between Sam Altman and Elon Musk playing out, the attempt to undercut the Stargate project by Musk in order to, I presume, boost his own product. Well, in this case, you've got China flexing their muscles on AI, and in response, you have people like Marc Andreessen talking about this as a Sputnik moment. They've beat us to space, so to speak, and so we have to keep up. And so on the other side of it now, you have American acceleration saying that all of the talk about safety and all of the caution needs to be thrown out. We need to jump into the AI race full steam ahead. And that means ultimately that they are going to justify as much as possible the development of any kind of AI system that they feel is profitable or beneficial. And it also means that in order, for instance, a large language model to work, you have to scrape as much data as possible. It's kind of naturally married to a degree of surveillance or at least of data mining. And so that's going to be a much larger push with many fewer regulations. So it's both, on the one hand, you have the Chinese psyop, we can do it better than you with less compute and less money. And on the American side, they're saying, no, we need more compute and more money. We will take these sorts of open source projects will make them a thousand times better. And ultimately this arms race in the conception of the Silicon Valley guys leads to a singularity.

I'm also going to bring Joe back because we're going to see how the stock market, at one point it was over trillion dollars heading to $2 trillion. A market cap wiped out a little bit of stability. As people try to work through this. This gets back to, this gets back to the oligarchs because they're definitely making a move. There's no doubt about that. Let's, let's be, let's be logical about it. All these people, all of them, Elon aside, all of them despise maga. Zuckerberg despises maga. Altman despises maga. And by that I mean also Trump, the leader of the MAGA movement. Andreessen despises maga, despises Trump. They think you're just, they think You're a. You are useless, essentially useless. Their whole model is to figure out how to replace humans with machines. If I can generalize, that's essentially the direction of it. They want to replace humans with machines. They want those machines to have all the way up to even consciousness. If they feel they can control that, you know, we're playing around with the deep sea. Can you ask anything about, you know, anything about Xi, anything about Tiananmen Square, anything about Taiwan? You get straight on Chinese Communist Party propaganda. You don't get truth, you don't get facts. Same thing on TikTok we have to face around. I realize people love using TikTok and there's got to be a way for us to get a deal where we can control the algorithm in the company and do it in a way that people feel comfortable with. Although I would tell you, Even with the 7 million companies that are using and making things, it's addictive for a reason. They built this for a reason. They now have the ability for these algorithms to basically capture you, capture your spirit. That's why we're in a very. It's an age of tremendous promise, but it's also an age with the pit of darkness right there. It depends on. That's why more than ever. Because this once again is going to require the common sense and decency. The three basic aspects that the American people bring together collectively as a group when they make decisions is common sense, decency and kind of grit and determination. Understand the reality and what has to happen to effectuate or make happen what their thinking is. Right. History shows us that takes a while to get there. But you can't stop the power of the American people. Why? Because this country has got a system where the little guy that throughout the world, either in the empires of Asia or the monarchies in Europe or the dictatorships all over the world, from sub Saharan Africa to Latin America to Asia, Central Asia, Europe, have not had the little guy has not been able to express his common sense in the decency of the little guy. Because there's a commonality of that all over the world. This may be the biggest challenge of all because there's so much money to be made, it's so powerful. It has such ability for dictatorial total control and total power with also money that you can't believe wealth that you can't believe. This is why this is a part of techno feudalism. It's what Joe Allen and I bonded on when I first was reading his great stuff over the Federalists, that this is the ultimate fight for freedom. It's when people say, oh, you guys, about the replacement theory of whites with people of color. I said, you couldn't be farther from the truth. We fight for everybody that's a citizen, regardless of ethnicity or race. It's about citizenship in your own country, in the sovereignty of your own country. This is about replacement theory. This is 100% replacement theory. And that is replacement theory of human beings made in the image and likeness of God and spewed with the life force of the Holy Spirit, who shall not be mocked as our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ tells you shall not be blasphemed because that's the only unforgivable sin. Think of when he says that this is a guy. If you read the New Testaments, the New Testament, all four of them, and even the ones that maybe are not totally signed off on the entire time. It's the empathy, the courage and the toughness. It's only one time he tells you that there's something here. You go past this and I can't help you. Nobody can help you. It's not forgiven. It's an eternal sin. That's to mock the blaspheme, the Holy Spirit. What does that mean? To play God. And that's where we're heading. And we're heading there rapidly and very quickly. It's going to be not reversible. This is my warning, people. It's not going to be reversible. This is why Joe Allen's been slaving away here for four years. There's a point of no return. Joe Allen, I know you've been particularly. We talked about redoing your efforts on your special project, which we're going to complete. But you got to get back into the fray on a daily basis. How worried about you? How worried are you right now about all of this? Sir?

You know, the spiritual element that you just mentioned is the most disturbing to me because whatever the actual developments are in this technological field, whether it's AI, brain computer interfaces, humanoid robots, genetic engineering, whatever the actual outcome of the technology is, the spirit of it is exactly what you said. The spirit of it is to first play God and then in the more extreme versions, to become gods, and in the most extreme version, to build a digital God or a pantheon of digital gods. Now, I think most of the people in the audience would say, well, that's impossible. Absolutely, that's impossible. But what is not impossible is to build up idols like they did in Egypt or in Rome, and to make people bow down to them or entice people to bow down to them. And I think that is the biggest concern I have. Long run. Because you already see it. It starts with the big dreamers and the kind of sci fi fantasists who envision an AI that can solve every problem, that can answer every question, that can satisfy every desire and that belief that faith is being manifested. The AIs that they have right now are good enough that, let's just say most dopes would be willing to say it's smarter than they are, or at least that it's the greatest mentor they've ever had. And as those systems become more sophisticated, you're going to get smarter and smarter and more and more capable people that either feel that way or they sell people on the idea that it is that way. So that spiritual element, that is what really concerns me. And even those in the kind of conservative religious sphere who say, no, no, no, no, we can program this to be holy. We can program the AI to proselytize people and to teach people about Jesus. The AI will never be a human example, like someone who's actually filled with the Holy Spirit. And the AI is always going to be this kind of soulless mirror to that image of God. So yet the spiritual element is probably the most unsettling on a practical level. I get the desire for wealth, algorithmic mammon, and I get the desire to stay ahead militarily of our geopolitical rivals. But it's going to have to be counterbalanced with a strong spiritual core, because this is playing with fire on a cosmic level.

No, this gets back to the whole Davos. This is the manifestation of the spiritual war. Look, we're going to keep you up to speed on the geopolitical, the military, the financial and economic, the stock market, all the financial aspects of this, all the military aspects of this, the geopolitical aspects of this, the societal aspects. But you talk about people come to me, it's a spiritual war. This is where the spiritual war is. This is the manifestation of it, of all of it. And you can see with the arrogance, and this is why I'm so against the apartheid state of Silicon Valley. The apartheid state was made as a deal. It was made as a conscious deal. Now think about that for a second. The Obama administration was the most progressive, quote Unquote. In American history. Remember that on the two things that really matter, money and power. They were the most reactionary in American history. How do I say that? Easily. The facts back me up. Their solution to the 2008. And he did not create the 2008 financial collapse had nothing to do with it. Some people, he had these community groups that took out. Forget that. That was minor, marginal. But Obama's solution, because he's a constitutional lawyer and didn't know much better and he was bought and paid for by the Lord, the sociopathic overlords on Wall Street, Tim Geithner and those guys. The solution, the bailout of the wealthy, the bailout of the system and the concentration of wealth. The greatest we've ever had is reactionary, not progressive. That's reactionary. The progressives all Rachel Maddow and these people down in the foreground showing you the pro wrestling on the second part, that's the money. On the second part, the power. They essentially made a deal. Remember they came to San Francisco airport and had that meeting in that conference room early on where Zuckerberg and these guys show him the power of Facebook to allow him to beat Hillary Clinton and then to beat the Republicans. The Faustian bargain made at San Francisco airport, that Faustian bargains the following is that we will allow you, an apartheid state, to become an apartheid state or actually evolve more rapidly as apartheid state because we're going to give you monopolistic power. We're not going to have the FTC after, you're not going to have the SEC after, you're not going to have the Justice Department after you, the antitrust department. We're going to allow you to build monopolies, Facebook, Google, monopolistic power. So it's not about profits, about rent seeking. We're going to allow you to become rent seekers and you're going to call your own shots on all of it. And you're not going to have to have any Hispanics, any blacks, any working class whites, nobody. You get to pick it. In fact, if you want to pick slave labor from South Asia and treat them like indentured servants, go for it. Because we'll game the system, make sure you get all the visas you need. That trade off was you're going to be the most powerful. You're going to deliver us ultimate technological power in the United States. And what happened at the same time, because they're letting the Chinese Communist Party and stealing, stealing what they can, educating and going back. It looks like now that part of the bargain wasn't accomplished, but the most progressive in history, set up the most reactionary state in history. The sociopathic overlords of Wall street and the oligarchs in Silicon Valley. This is in essence what the MAGA movement is fighting in response to of both the financial collapse of 2008 and also as it evolve to try to the ability to destroy Trump in the MAGA movement by absolute technological dominance of social media, means of communications. That in essence is the story of our age, our era politically. That is why you are so powerful, that's why you're so hated. That's why they must destroy you. They must destroy Trump because he's the leader and all the grundoons around him, the second tier, the Mike Flynn's, the Steve Banner, they must be destroyed also. But ultimately they have to control and suppress and ultimately destroy you when you're no longer economically necessary as a little production unit until you've worn out your welcome, of which your children and grandchildren will wear out their welcome quite quickly with this crowd. That, folks, is the fight. And that's why we can't lose. To lose is to lose it all. To lose is to let down everything that the Judeo Christian west stands for.
