I suspect though, this view of the world, what, what, what is old is new again. This view of the world that Donald Trump is bringing in to the White House and sort of smashing this post war order that has seen the United States dominate the world economically and militarily in every other way, culturally, you name it. We've domina since end of World War II, but he's trying to bring about this new order.

And I believe I have this almost, almost exactly right. But it's certainly the essence of it. The AP doesn't do me any favors, so I'm not going to do them any favors. That's the way the world works. That's the way the world works. That's where we are. And it's a, there's not a lot of diplomatic thought here. You know, this is, there's not going to be a foreign affairs piece about this doctrine. That's the way the world works.

And then a little bit later at 1:00 there is a bilateral press conference in the East Room and I would imagine that's when the press really gets to open up and ask their questions. But it all is about that rare earth minerals agreement and from what I understand that deal is done. It just needs to be signed. But as you would expect, the security around the White House area, this whole perimeter has really Been enhanced the most I've seen from any world leader coming in here. And this is it. I mean, this is one of the biggest meetings. This could be one of the most defining moments, if you will, Steve, of President Trump's second term.

Well, yes, I do think the bigger one will be, obviously, Putin. This is. I think this is the. Check the box and get out of the way. There's a lot of controversy about this deal. I think even President Trump, like he says, it's for rare earths. And I think, Brian, the way they present this. And Jack, this is, I would say this is a framework. This is a framework for further negotiations and more details on, you know, as an M and A, you kind of get a term sheet. You have an overall term sheet. And then she was.

Yes, yes, yes, yes. In fact, you were there. There's some misreport. There was some misreporting on that. Zelinsky was. Was very disrespectful to Secretary Treasury Bessant and essentially signed the same deal, is what I understand. Right.

Look, the term sheet that we delivered with Secretary Besant when we took the train to Kiev two nights, or, you know, the night train, Kiev, two weeks ago, the term sheet is remarkably similar to what's going to be coming in today. So this, it's an evolution. But the big piece of it, Steve, was that Zelinsky kept saying, I want a security guarantee. Yes, but you can't do that because a security guarantee is de facto NATO membership. Because that would give you essentially an Article 5 provision.

Yes, but I think they would take a security guarantee of American troops and, or, okay, two terms. You're going to see here.

NATO means American troops. That's the thing.

Here's the two terms. I think you should look for Brian today. And by the way, Brian is in the press pool today. Brian, you're going to be in the Oval. And Brian, I kind of disagree, although I know you get to ask the first question now, like you're the new Helen Thompson of upi, you get to ask the first question. The big press conference, but the press, we call these press avails, these bilats. And I think President Trump's doing something quite extraordinary. He's inviting the media, not just for the cameras, but he's inviting questions from the media. And some of those I find fascinating. I believe there are going to be some detailed questions at the. Very open to him and Zelensky. And a couple things already backstop. The term of art here is backstop Is there a, if it's not a security guarantee, is there an American backstop?

Number two started yesterday with Keir Starmer.

It's Keir Starmer. And then in Macron, McCrone tried to work his evil magic the other day. The other thing you should hear coming from the Senate is what I'm hearing already is that, oh well, since we have a framework, that means we can put forward another Ukrainian aid package, right. For economic development. What are you hearing at the White House, Brian Glenn?

Yeah, that's, I'm hearing a little bit of that as well. But you know what, when you look at social media and Zelensky was trending on X and I read some of the comments, the American people just want this to be over. We're tired of our tax dollars on that conveyor belt going over to Ukraine. And of course we don't know where a lot of that money's gone. We don't know what some of the, the weapons have turned up and ended up in enemy's hands. So they're angry. And that's why I think you see a lot of attention here in D.C. as far as security around this whole entire area. But those are two great questions and hey, shoot me some other ones. I'm more than happy to fire away, figuratively speaking with, with language in that Oval Office.

And yeah, yeah, Brian, hang on. Jack, jump in. But here's the thing. This can only be looked at in the overall strategic rapprochement with Russia. This is, this is, President Trump is a deal guy. He, he's got, he's got to check a box. He's got a condition precedent he's got to deal with, which is lay your guns down. The way I'm going to get a layer of guns down is we'll do some sort of ephemeral deal for their rare earth.

See, this is why, this is why Zelinsky wouldn't sign it with Besson because the Linsky wanted today to happen. He wants to pomp and circumstance. He wants, because look, what does he know is going to come after this? What does he have after this back home elections. Once martial law ends, he's got to.

You understand the tension between the MAGA base who supports President Trump 100% by saying, hey look, you know, we know as soon as it's done, you're going to have the Lindsey Graham's, you're going to have the, all those neocons, neoliberal, neocons in the Senate, they're going to get another big. And you're going to start hearing nonstop, we need a security, you need a backup. Just, you know, just, just a backstop. And that backstop means American troops are.

Is, is the White House in your reporting, particularly at the staff level, are they aware of this, sir?

Oh, yes, sir, I think they are. And I think they're listening to the American people as far as what their feedback has been on social in regards to that. You know, I made a joke earlier on American Sunrise that I wanted to print out my tax return and see if I can just get Zelinsky to sign his name on there as a dependent in my household, because I feel like a lot of our taxes have just been going over there and paying for him. Not sure if that's going to happen today, but I'm happy to bring one in the Oval Office if he'll sign it. But this is the most, you know, when you look at all these world leaders that have been here, and this one obviously is the one that people are focused on that they want this war over. It's hugely unpopular, just the financing of it. And of course, you know, if you were against financing this war, you were called a Putin puppet and all this other stuff and shout out to people in the very beginning who stood up against this war and wanted to end it as they were labeled, you know, just communist and anti American. And I just don't understand why we want to continue to fund this war.

Number two, if you look at msnbc, brother, they, they hate this deal because they hate the fact that Trump is actually bringing peace. This is essentially the predicate to a ceasefire.

We're not. No one's crazy about this deal, but you understand President Trump's trying to do he's trying to recoup money and he's adamant. There was $350 billion. Zelensky's coming. That's the color guard. This is a working visit. Just like Prime Minister Starmer yesterday, Macron, President of France. These are working visits. A bilat. What it's called. Brian Glenn is now. And we can tell you. And we've done changes to programming. We do a lot more live coverage from the White House, because I tell people, you're seeing history being made. There are decades in which nothing happens. The weeks in which decades happen. This week, think about it. And I don't think this has ever happened in White House history. You've had the President of France, the Prime Minister of the United King of uk, Two of our oldest, our two oldest allies. There's the Marines coming outside. We're pulling in right now. So this is getting closer. I think he's going to be there at 11 or close to 11. We'll be covering it live. Great shots. I want to hold that shot. I'm going to bring some guests. So President Trump is here today to stop the fighting in Ukraine and he's doing it with us. First is a minerals deal. It's not perfect, but it's a condition President to get President Trump to what he really wants to do as a rapprochement with Russia and to make sure that we can lay the guns down in Western Europe and stop, you know, spending a trillion dollars a year on defense and focus on the Chinese Communist Party, the railhead of all the problems.

What's being done is he's taking the international structure of globalism, which is based around this, an American hegemonic state that existed sort of after the end of World War II, because the post war.

Set up to contain communism. Yes, to contain the Soviet Union. That's why you see Afghanistan, that's why you saw Vietnam, that's why you saw the rest of it. But then what happened in 1991, 1992 after the Soviet Union fell, which could hang on.

But don't bury the lead in 19 what, 72, 73, it was Kissinger and Nixon going to see Mao Zedong to say, if we want to take now they were more detent, but they said, if we want to actually have a shot at containing the Soviet Union and stopping this, we have to get China on a side.

Well, they exacerbate what was called at the time the Sino Soviet split split.

And then President Reagan came in to say, hey, look, I saw what Nixon did, but Nixon wanted detente with these guys, I can take down the evil empire. And it took essentially from 1981 to 1989, took about eight or nine years. President Reagan had left office, but the evil empire collapsed. Berlin Wall and the central part of that was getting the Chinese on our side. We've done this is totally reversed. This was President Trump's grand strategy.

The goal is a new Sino Soviet split, but in the other direction.

In the other direction. And this is what he wanted to accomplish in the first term. It was prevented. Now when you talk about America first, President Trump is saying, hey, look, we got to secure the homeland. He's not really interested in the war in Ukraine. He wants the guns to be put down so we can get peace and prosperity and do this geostrategic realignment. What he wants to focus on. Just like folks, don't forget isis. When President Trump came in the first time, as you Remember, Obama told us there's a generational problem. The Islamic State in Iraq and Syria had more control of territory, of territory and real estate than the size of Iraq or the size of Syria.

And who was the general that he went and got briefed on that was raising.

Raising Cain. That's why raising Keynes, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs. When he got. So President Trump. And this is what Mattis did. Well, President Trump said, I want to take down isis. And I think it was in the first five or six months ISIS was gone.

And I'll. Yeah, I'll actually take one down a notch from Mattis on that. What, what they did was they, they reinstate. And by the way, this just happened again. What they did is they restructured what's called the kill chain.

So the kill chain is when we found fine, fixed and evaluated. So the F3 EA cycle is you found the terrorist leader, you found the high value target, you can go strike on him. The way Obama had it written in the early fight and Biden did the.

Up, all the way up to the White House. Is that almost Obama or one of his guys, Ben Rhodes had to sign off on it. Trump deregulated that, delegated it down, said.

Let the war fighters fight the war six level. Yeah, let the war fighters fight the war. Now why is that relevant? Because President Trump, one of the first things he did was designate a bunch of these Mexican cartels as terrorist organizations. That means you can go next level, finish. The first step he does is I need a forcing function. Forcing function will be 25% across the board, across the board tariffs unless you step up, start stopping fentanyl, help us take these cartels. Todd Benzeman, last night we saw the fruits of President Trump's and this is my point, the guy's been in office 35 days. We've accomplished more in taking down the Mexican drug cartel than in the previous 25 or 30 years. I mean this is true action 29 founding fathers of the cartels. These different, you know, the Sinaloa and all these others you can tell us have, have literally been coughed up by Mexico that has had them for years been coughed up and now they're becoming in U.S. custody. Todd Bensman, how big a deal is this as the predicate for the kinetic part which is going to take down these, take down and eradicate these drug cartels.

This is a huge offering by the Sheinbaum administration. And just for context, a lot of these guys have been under extradition requests by the US by many US Governments for decades. And their power from their luxury prison cells. These are guys are in quote, unquote prison, but it's not real prison. And they're still running their operations from there through brute force. And they've managed to get successive Mexican regimes to block U.S. extradition for decades. Now all of a sudden, they're all on military flights being flown into eight different US cities to face justice. And I mean, it's going to be death penalty justice for some of these guys because they killed DEA agents. One of them killed a deputy sheriff in Charlotte, North Carolina. I mean, these guys are in the United States. I don't think anybody disputes that anymore. I mean, no normal person disputes that. So this is first delivery on a requirement by Donald Trump. We're gonna see a lot more and we're gonna probably see some hiding down there too.

Yeah, it's huge. It's huge. A couple things not bearing the lead. First off, it's just the beginning. This, this starts the unraveling. It's also going to start the major violence. And we're. Oscar's going to talk a little bit more about that, what they're already seeing down there. But it's two things, as you mentioned. It's the threat of tariffs, but it's also the strength of President Trump designating these organization, terrorist organizations and giving Mexico the backup to be able to do this. This is extremely dangerous for the government in Mexico. The officials in Mexico, not surprisingly, these guys were in. A lot of these guys were in America yesterday, I think kind of on purpose. So they didn't get whacked. When this all happened, some of the guys from the Mexican delegation were actually on the US Side. But the other side of this is Ben, This.

Ben, Ben, Ben, hang on for a second. Ben, hang for a second. I want to reiterate to the audience that this is a massive blow to the cartels. That's why it's so dangerous. The cartels and Oscars are going to tell us what's happening in Mexico right now. But for the Sheinbaum government, and she's a lefty. Yes, Right. But for her, and she was Forced to do this because 25% tariffs.

It's over in Mexico. Her government's over, the country's over.

This is, this is Trump. This is called a forcing function. Tell us why it's dangerous for her personally in her government, sir.

Because the cartels control every level of government. They control the DAs, they control the judges, they control the municipal governments. They control the military, they control the police. They control just about everything depending on which district you're in, whether you're in the Gulf or the CJNG or the Jalisco New Generation or the Michoacan or all of these guys, the Noreste, all of them control their little factions of the country. They really control Mexico. So for the government to come out and say, we're going to side with America, this really took, again, the threat of tariffs. That's one big part of it. But it also took the backing of the US Military being able to say, we can come in and take you guys out at any moment. And really, the bigger part to this, Steve, as you said, this was Joe Biden for four years, sending our tax dollars, our money over to foreign wars and allowing our country to be invaded. This is the new Bukele mantra where we put the victims first over the criminals. It's never been done before. In particular, you can see how big a deal it is by the attorneys in Mexico. Their reaction to this. They are freaking out the defense attorneys.

Hang on for one second. You see the split screen. They see the color guard getting ready. Zelinsky's en route. We understand he's going to be at 11:00 Eastern Time. He'll be arriving. Well, Steve, understand, and people have to understand as well that these just aren't, these aren't just imagery flights. These are flights that are packed with the entire suite of surveillance and ISR technology. That the United States intelligence community has. We're talking about signal suckers. They're taking their, their even, even signal sniffers. They're pulling up anything that they have down there because by the way, number one, it's cell phones. Tracking up all the cell phones. And then you have to begin the work of the needles in the haystack. So mapping out the networks. Do these guys use SIM swapping like the Taliban or ISIS used to do? Do they practice comsac? Who are the leaders? What are the nodes? You got to build out the network.

It's beginning to be really dangerous, sir. The is this is not a huge blow to the Mexican cartels. It's a huge blow to the other cartels, that is the corrupt politicians in Mexico. Claude Schembaum just gave up all of these big names and the biggest name is Rafael El Caro Quintero who has been being looked and being investigated by the American government. But the other thing is that is not being mentioned. It is the biggest campaign that is in Mayo Zambada that is arrested in the American territory and it is putting pressure on the corrupt politicians in Mexico on Claudia Shane Bound. This is why it's always all of this. It is happening Claude Chaimbone it is being just basically en masse also by the right wing political party in Mexico that is on the rise right now, pressuring the Mexican president to basically stop the drug cartels, to basically stop the wars over here and ultimately put pressure on her to name them as cartel terrorists that she doesn't want to. She's willing to change the constitution just to protect the cartels, to not be named as terrorists. And this is all just because of the 25% terror. So it's a big blow to the Mexican cartels, but it's a bigger blow to the corrupt politicians and the Mexican government and particularly to them.

I think that one of the questions will be that, Steve, directly to know why the bank accounts and all these dirty politicians have not been investigated by this, you know, this particular campaign.
