I mean, Democrats have been in a real bind trying to figure out how can they, how can they actually argue against Trump on immigration when the election results numbers show that people aren't with them on this specific topic. Now, what's different here is you're now moving from people who were in prison or people who were clearly criminals to people who've been in the United States in some cases for a long time, in some cases, paying taxes for a long time, working in jobs under the assumption that they could continue to operate that way as long as they didn't break the law and as long as they continued to pay taxes. So once you start to deport that group of people en masse, I think Democrats feel like one, it's just not right. And so they are. I think when Gavin Newsom talks about it, I think I take him at his word. I do believe he believes what he's saying. I think they're willing to have this fight, want it to go to the courts, and that they think ultimately that the American public will find it inhumane once you start to go after people who they feel like didn't do anything wrong. I think when it does go to the courts, for people thinking, oh, the courts are going to step in and say, you can't use the military. I don't know that that's how this court is going to decide. I think it's very clear the court feels like the President has authority when it's under the guise of national security. And I think he'll have a lot of freedom. Even if this hasn't been done since 1960, even if he takes it a step further and goes for the Insurrection Act, I think that he has the backing and he feels like he has the backing of the courts to do.

So the long term impact of reducing America's labor force, reducing the revenue that those people bring in to the government's coffers, that could have some impact. I think if this is a successful operation, but we don't quite know what that would be in the short term. I think the Democrats have to handle this very carefully. The courts, if this went to the courts, then they've shown that they're prepared to give the President an awful lot of power on this. It doesn't really matter what the protests are. These are the images that the White House want their supporters to see around the country.

And they want to reconquer this territory and claim it back for Mexico. But, you know, I worked in Mexico, Steve. I worked in Mexico for three years after I retired with U.S. department of State as a law enforcement diplomat. And when I was there, you talked to Mexican politicians, especially northern Mexico. And some of them will tell you in private that they wish that when the land was sold to the US that their territory would have been sold and they wouldn't be in the problems that they're in. They joke to that. Also privately, they will always tell you, we need U.S. assistance, but they will never admit publicly, going all the way to the president. My job in Mexico was to develop working relationships with governors generals, state prosecutors, politicians, business leaders. Publicly, they will never admit it. When President Trump offered his assistance and President Sheinbaum said, we don't need your help, I had calls from my contacts within the Mexican government. I'm talking high ranking people in the political, law enforcement and military circles reach out and said, we need your help. But obviously we could never admit it. And they just cannot lose face. It's just a part of national pride that hurts Mexico. And, you know, most of us will say they are a failed narco state. Most people will be shocked at the levels of violence that occur in Mexico on a daily basis.

This is a direct result of four years of the invasion that Joe Biden invited and 50 years of communism in our country that now finally is showing itself for what it is. What's amazing is as you walk these streets, there's graffiti everywhere and the combination of words and different groups that are out here, from the Palestinians to BLM to as you heard, Mecha, the La Raza contingent. These guys, you know that, that absolutely believe they want to take this country back from America.

Breaks from my hometown. I myself have engaged in peaceful protests on those various streets that we're seeing on television right now. On the other hand, we're seeing the best of the what is Los Angeles? Despite what the president says, despite the, the types of violence that he is trying to instigate, we are seeing a community coming together in defense of itself. And I think in the days ahead, as the smoke figuratively and literally begins to clear, we're going to see the beauty of Los Angeles and the way in which people come together to protect the vulnerable. And you know, you know, this not the image on the screen that you're seeing right now, but the community is what we're fighting for. And one thing I really just want to put in context, I mean, one way to kind of frame this is that this is a protest in defense of immigrant rights. The other way to frame it is that this is a protest in defense of democracy. The president has always used the idea of mass deportations as an excuse and a justification for authoritarianism. That's what's coming to fruition right now. We don't control the executive branch, Congress, the courts are up in the air. What we do have is the right to protest peacefully in public spaces and to defend each other the best that we can using the best traditions of this country. And I think that's what you're going to see in the days ahead. In Los Angeles, there is the concern.

Among many authoritarian experts is who say that oftentimes strongmen, authorities, authoritarian leaders create and sow chaos in order to crack down with more aggressive means, whether it is suspending habeas corpus, declaring martial law, invoking the insurrection act. But are you at all concerned that as we see major highways shut down, businesses get disrupted, you will then hear the strong arm voices from the government, from the administration say we must restore. And we saw, we heard that a little bit earlier today from the President who said we will restore law and order. When they see disruptions like this on major freeways, are you concerned that the pretext is being set for them to come in and say we must restore law and order and we will clear these roads?

I mean, so much to say about this. The first thing is that President Trump doesn't know the first thing about law and order. So that kind of a promise is hollow on its face. The idea is right and there is no question that they are trying to instigate violence. And I would say again to my friends who, some of whom are on those very streets right now, you know, there are provocateurs that come and throw bottles. And so Donald Trump will say, oh, the protesters or the immigrants threw the bottles. But.

But it is very important that people go to protests that are organized, you know, and stay safe because there's no question that they are trying to trigger the emergency, you know, that otherwise wouldn't have existed. Look, here's the deal. Culture has changed when you control three things, the media, the state, and the Church. Okay. We've been hitting it all morning from, from different angles about how the media has been lying to us. The local state government, Newsom, Karen Bass, they've been involved. But the last part of that triangle is the Church. And the Archdiocese of Los Angeles, which is at the epicenter of this whole entire operation with Archbishop Gomez overseeing it, has stood by, and not only stood by, but really participated in this illegal invasion of the country. Let me explain. He released a statement yesterday, came off, you know, wonderful sounding about how he's concerned about, you know, these raids going on. But one key point, he says there is no need for the government to carry out enforcement actions in a way that provokes fear and anxiety among ordinary, hardworking immigrants and their families. Dear Archbishop, how exactly are we supposed to be carrying out this operation? Do we expect that these, these criminals are just going to come to ICE and say, hey, I'm turning myself in? Here we go? I mean, this is a joke. Okay. Further, he goes on point three, to say, I urge Congress to have a fix in the immigration system. Okay, that's wonderful. Where were you, Archbishop, respectfully, the last four years while your bishops conference, and yes, you were president of the bishops conference and you guys were taking in millions of grants and you said nothing while our southern border was destroyed. And the people, the poor people in your community were suffering because these people were coming in, taking their jobs, selling drugs, human trafficking and the works. We are not buying this. And it's so sad as a Catholic, to see you trying to play this moral high ground when we're calling your bluff.

But it's also turning the people, you know, how much of the Church, because they're so liberal and have gotten away from Catholic teachings. That's why I told Dolan years ago in New York when he jumped me, I said, hey, I'm living in New York. I see you go to the churches and they're empty. And the reason the church is empty. You're not teaching Catholicism anymore. And the way you try to fill the churches is through the illegal immigrant community. That's what they've done in Los Angeles. They're a huge part of the problem. This is why Catholic Charities is a big part of the problem, are they not, sir?

They absolutely are. And you know what the worst part about the Steve that irks me is? They knew this was going to happen, okay? They knew how difficult it would be for Tom Homan and those amazing ICE agents to go into those communities and pull those people out that weren't supposed to be there. They foresaw this, and they allowed it. They were taking grants, as you said, via Catholic Charities, in the millions from the Biden administration to facilitate this. It's no secret. Everybody knows this. So to come out now and say this is horrible. We should be concerned about our local citizens. We don't want this unrest. It's a joke. And I got to call their bluff for the sake of just the truth, because as you always say so. Well, Steve, we will win this battle for taking back our country when we take back the institutions, the state, the media, and the church.

Where did they go? Yep, you're all over this. And by the way, you and Posobec, all of you, had this great march at the Dodger Stadium a couple of years ago to try to stop the desecration of the. I'm here at the ICE Building, Federal building downtown, and I just witnessed them come out and say all the appointments are canceled at least as of this morning. Now, some of these, this is ICE Court. Some of this is ICE Court. These are people that are trying to stay in the country. Some of that is illegals trying to stay. Some of that is people that believe they have a legitimate reason to be here. But because of what the left did, burning down the city, all of those appointments are canceled today at the ICE Building. And this is again, this is the same people that claim they care about immigrants. The left claim they care about immigrants. They don't care about immigrants. They care about having people that they can control. And the best people they can control are people that are already breaking the law.

You've been doing these raids throughout the country. You know, we've been advocating it's time you got the bad hombres. You got to get that. But you've got to go. Picking up the illegals is one thing, but as soon as you start arresting the people that are facilitating this, and the last guest you just had on, as soon as you start going after the organizations that are behind this, whether that's Catholic Charities or Lutheran Social Services or any of these organizations, the communist groups in our country that are working intentionally to undermine this nation, the liberation theology, pastors in our country, all of this, that's the root of it. You're picking up the illegals. That's the symptom. But until we actually start arresting and prosecuting the root, this cancer is going to continue to grow.

What do you think about the authorities in la? Mayor Bass is stirring this up. She's sitting there begging for tens of billions of dollars from American taxpayers to sort this mess out in the Palisades that she and Newsom in the radical environmentalists in California are. Yesterday on, I think there was, I don't know, hundreds of thousands of people throughout the day, came on our getter and rumble sites for the streaming. I mean, Grace Chung was absolutely amazing and coordinating between CNN and the local coverage, it was really incredible. But it was obvious the police, they weren't told to engage. They were told just to play namby pamby and do what had to be done. It was virtually no arrest. Ben, what should happen here to government officials that are intruding, getting in the way? This is why President Trump had to bring in the National Guard and federalize. This is why he's bringing in the Marines. Law enforcement there will not enforce basic laws. They will not. The center of Los Angeles was shut down yesterday. The 110, the 101, all of it. And they just turned it over. And all these people saying, oh, these are peaceful. This is so peaceful. Wasn't peaceful. It was a brutal riot to shut down the second most important city in the United States of America, sir.

Yeah, well, very simply, screw Karen Bass. She has destroyed this city. Every single Democrat. I used to live in California. It used to be a beautiful place. It is a cesspool now. It's not worth living here unless you like being abused. I'm standing. We're just blocks, less than a block away from the 101 right there. That's why they go and shut it down all the time, because it's right there. They can simply walk around the corner and go down and the police do nothing. They let them do it. They created this Karen Bass and communists like her, this whole Red Green alliance, all of it was created intentionally and all of these little foot soldiers are theirs. They own them and they need to be prosecuted for it.
