They want deportations of all illegal aliens and those who refuse to assimilate, and they want them now. Why aren't those leaders, why aren't our elected leaders and our bureaucrats there in D.C. not getting that message? You know, we've got that cultural aspect of our society that is under attack. They're going to vote us out. They're going to outbreed us. We need to remove all of these people. I say that the regular run of mill, run of the mill illegal alien is far more of a threat than those criminal aliens, terrorists and folks with significant criminal histories, because our culture is at stake here. But we've got a very small window to go after those hundred million other illegal aliens.

Steve, the border is only as secure as the folks that are manning it. Everything starts at the border. What happens at the border has never stayed at the border. Steve, you know that folks that cross that border illegally don't stay at the border. They go right into the interior and they set up shop in the interior, whether they're a criminal or a regular illegal alien. But one thing that I, I think is very important for the audience to know is once they set up shop in the interior, if there's not a mechanism to remove them back out of the country, that in itself hurts border security right along the border because, hey, make it past the border patrol and guess what? I got a free ticket. I can just stay there and do what I want to do, whether I'm a criminal or a Haitian that's utilizing public assistance. So part of our strategy was concurrently running heavy border security. As you know, the military is on the border now. Fantastic. Military assisting border patrol to shut that border down. That's great. But concurrent with that, you must have a very overarching and very tough interior immigration strategy and enforcement model. Because once they make it past the border, when they realize, well, gosh, you know what, I'm not safe, I see a bunch of Border Patrol agents there in Los Angeles and then Chicago and then Charlotte and then New Orleans and then Minnesota. So it makes it very, very difficult to, for those folks to try to cross the border because there is no safe space for them anywhere in the interior. So border security and interior enforcement are closely linked. We missed that prior to Trump. 45. We missed that really bad. Because you heard the politicians, George Bush included, Bill Clinton and the rest of them say, you know, we need to seal the border off before we do interior enforcement. Nothing could be further from the truth. It has to happen at the same time. We must do that at the same time. And that was part of our strategy. If you look when we hit Los Angeles there last year, when we hit Los Angeles almost overnight, what Trump had done on the border shrank even more. We cut those numbers probably half again to what Trump did. What Trump did on the border was, was truly amazing. But they realized, hey, you know, something else is happening there in the United States. They're really serious about this. When you have border Patrol agents in the interior taking it to the bad guys, whether it's the criminal, legal aliens, the illegal aliens, drug cartels, it doesn't matter. And it really doesn't matter. We want all of them. It makes a difference. And something else I like to point out here, Steve, is when we talk about illegal aliens without a criminal history, you know, we've got that cultural aspect of our society that is under attack. They're going to vote us out, they're going to outbreed us. We need to remove all of these people. I say that the regular run of mill, run of the mill illegal alien is far more of a threat than those criminal aliens. Terrorists and folks with significant criminal histories. I'm going to say that again. They're more of a threat because our culture's at stake here. We can always get the terrorists, the criminal aliens, the worst, the worst. They're always going to have that criminal record. We can hit them, you know, from now till Sunday for, for the next 10 years. We can hit those, those folks all the time. But we've got a very small window to go after those 100 million other illegal aliens right here in the United States via mass deportations. So that was also baked into that strategy we're talking about is doing that. Our culture's at stake. Our national identity is at stake. Our values, traditions and culture is at stake. We need them all gone at the same time.

I just want to look back on this session. I think that when it comes to Trump's sort of power, President Trump's power as the executive, he had three big wins, which is the ability to fire, you know, bureaucrats and administrators in the so called administrator independent agencies, that the Supreme Court said that temporary protective status actually means temporary. And you know, in the 2016 campaign when we were doing polls at Breitbart, you know, should we allow more Syrians into this country? That was like 75% of Americans were saying, no, I can't even like when I saw that the Syrians are still here, it was kind of crazy. But temporary status actually means temporary. And of course, aliens who are in Mexico are not actually in the United States for the purposes of legal proceedings for asylum. So those are three serious wins. The losses, of course, the tariff loss was just absolutely very significant. Birthright citizenship, as you've talked about, and the fact that the president can't fire Lisa Cook as a governor of the Federal Reserve. That's interesting because, you know, the court said, hey, the proceedings are still forage. She hasn't been convicted. If she's convicted, then maybe people can look at, look out, look at it again. But they also said that the history and tradition of the Federal Reserve as an independent agency also carried some weight. And I didn't, I really didn't see that coming. So I don't really think of the Federal Reserve as being rooted in our history and traditions. But that seemed like you were saying before, very expansive John Roberts decision there.

Eric Metaxas, we're going to have you on and we're going to talk about where we were. You know, you've got this, in fact, I guess it's Thursday when it was ready to go. But I think and this came from one of the engine room people that are very far through your book and they said, make sure when you have Metaxas on today that he points out in this massive history of what led up to the revolution and then the War of Independence to talk about American resilience. I mean, we just had a shocking body blow to this movement and to the country. But if you read your book, it's time and time and time again we get punched in the face and it looks like it's all over. It looks like it's nothing but the darkest night. But then because of divine providence and human agency The Americans get back up, dust themselves off, and punch back even harder. Eric Metaxas. The book is Revolution. It's on fire. But it's got lessons today about how we comport ourselves and how we never give up. Sir.

Well, at the heart of it, Steve, and this is like, you have to talk about this, folks. It's God. If you don't believe in God, I don't know what to tell you. You know, it's like saying, I think science is stupid. I don't talk about science. God is at the center of human history. He is inescapably at the center of American history. All of the founders saw it that way. Not some of them, not a few Christians. They, they all were Christians. They all saw it this way. And when they got punched in the face over and over and over again, they said, it doesn't matter. We look to God. If it is God's will, if we are in, if we are involved in a sacred cause that God has called us to be involved in, we will continue and we will continue, and we will probably prevail because we look to God. We don't look to circumstances. There's a moment in the book, in 1777, you know, you talk about being on the ropes. The Congress, Continental Congress, had been chased out of Philadelphia. The British troops took Philadelphia. Congress skedaddles out of Philadelphia, and they're cowering in York, Pennsylvania, Lancaster, whatever. Samuel Adams, the father of the Revolution, stands up and gives a speech and says to them, good tidings will soon arrive. Where did he get that from? Where did, did he get an intelligence report? No, he had other intelligence. He, he had supernatural intelligence. He said, we have been honoring God. We are involved in a sacred cause. We cannot fail unless the Lord wants us to fail. But according to everything that he understood, we have honored God in how we fought, in why we're fighting.

Here's your host, Stephen K. Banner. Okay, the books revolution. Eric and I want to go back to other examples in the revolution. And I love the way you don't call it the American Revolution. You're saying this is the revolution. Back then we were a vast majority Christian nation. Now we're not, in fact, the opposition here. The opposition here are not just atheistic, they're demonic. They hate Christianity. They want to destroy Christianity. So what do you have to say today? That people that believe it's a sacred cause, believe that divine providence works to us, believe that we're using our agency on a day like today where they've just hardwired into the Constitution that anybody that comes here and is not have allegiance to this country, but just walks into the past, the border, including the Chinese. Peter Schweitzer has done such a magnificent job on his book that we had Peter on here. Well, look, at the end of the day, Steve, as Christians, and this is serious, we look to God. He is not just the God of history, which is a big deal for a lot of people, but that's true. He is a wonder working God. He's a miraculous God. We have to take that seriously. It doesn't mean we don't look in the natural at, you know, what we can do. But at the end of the day, our job is to worry about God. Is my heart right with God. Washington, when he takes over, like July 2, 1775, he takes over in Cambridge and Boston, takes over the army. His first order to his officers, George Washington, is that make sure your men are not swearing or gambling. Make sure they go to services on Sunday morning. This is the commander in chief of the army. And the main thing is the make sure you are right with God. This is a man who understands that how we deal with God is part of the reality. It's not some extra credit thing over there and forget about it. You know, he's not Patton. This is George Washington saying that we have to look to God. Liberty is a gift of God and we have to take that seriously. I mean, again, it's not the point of my book, but it's all through the book that this was reality for the men of the revolution. And to get to the point of what you're talking about, we are now in a civil war. And let's face it, the American colonists were in a civil war with Great Britain. So just because we have people now on the inside. Just because we have people. You know, they're not sitting in Parliament 3,000 miles away, they're sitting in offices in the bureaucracy of our deep state. It doesn't matter. It is a spiritual war, and it is a civil war with people whose values are utterly antithetical to the values of the Bible, to the values of our founding documents. And it's just the third existential crisis of our history. If we don't win, we lose everything. But I believe that it is God's will that we win. And part of it is reminding us, at least those who care. We're supposed to keep our eyes on God. We're supposed to understand he's the author of Liberty. This is not just some fluke that we get to live in a free country. This is God's idea of how we're supposed to govern ourselves. He's not indifferent to the fate of America. And the fact that Donald Trump turned his head and did not have his brains blown out is a sign from God. He wants us to win. But we are in a war. And when you're in a war, you take hits, you take casualties. These kinds of rulings from the Supreme Court, these are bad hits. But the point is, we go on and we go on. And I said earlier, the Americans, when I was doing the research on the book, over and over again, I said, if I was watching a movie and I didn't know who was going to win, I would say those guys, the Americans, they have the moral high ground. It's obvious those are the good guys. And if you believe in a God of justice and they're going to win, because it's just when you're watching the movie, you know, who are the good guys, who are the bad guys? You can just feel it. And I feel the same way. The people in the deep state, the people, the globalists, communists, the Islamo fascists, they're the bad guys. And our job is just to trust God to fight with everything. We have to understand that we have to sacrifice. If you're not sacrificing, you're not in the battle, you're not in the war. But that's what our job is. And so I really believe God's hand is on this nation.

We declared it independent. No, we got our ass kicked every day. And you look at the hand of Providence in the retreat, in the defeats and the strategic defeats and the retreats, and to hang together. And by that time, trust me, only about 10 or 20% of the country was hanging together. A lot of people were saying, what in the hell is this? The British are the biggest military force in the world. That's the power of the book. The power of the book is to tell the story as it should be told. And you sit there and go, well, I didn't really realize this. I didn't realize. I thought, Declaration of Independence, it's all done. And. No, it's not done. They had a war of independence. The Declaration of Independence is a declaration of war on the crown in Commons, right? And saying, we're not doing this and we're going to fight it out, right? If it takes for years, and it took for years, like you said in 1777, a couple years later, Valley Forge. And when they run out of Philadelphia, if it hadn't been for Saratoga, one miracle after another. But the miracle's just not God putting his hands in. It's all through human agency. There were people that would not give up. If you're prepared to give up, then you're not right for this fight. It's fine. Some people are not right for this. In the revolution, a very small part of the people hung in there and fought. If you're not fit for this, if it's not in you, that's fine. It's not, you know, you're not gonna. I don't think. Well, I mean, I gotta say that it is so fascinating because when you look at the story of the revolution, you realize if you said to George Washington, 1776, you're gonna win, he would say, okay, that's nice. But right now, we're taking a beating. Men are dying. Men are going to die. We're going to suffer. You have to sacrifice. You have to fight. Sometimes people die. But you're in a war for God's purposes in history. It's a beautiful thing. It's an honor. We should all be on the wrong side. We're not by God's grace. We're fighting for the things that God cares about. It is an honor. It is a joy to sacrifice. And we need to know these stories. And again, it's why I wrote the book. If Americans don't know our history, we're dead. We're dead. We cannot do what we have to do now. If we do not know our history, we need to know it. I joke around. I say it's mandatory beach reading. You have a debt to the men who paid the price back then and who've paid the price for 250 years. We have debts to pay. And part of that debt is knowing their names, knowing the stories, and then getting involved, as each of us is called to be involved. Each of us has a role to play right now. And God's not gonna force us. But I think, you know, there were even guys in this story, Charles Lee, Horatio Gates, Benedict Arnold. They were theoretically on the right side, but they were all bums and they all were in it for themselves. George Washington was not in it for himself. He was in it for the sacred cause. And there were a number of them. Nathan Hale, all these hero. They were in it for the sacred cause. And they looked to God and they said, even if I get killed, I'm going to do the right thing. I tell you, there's no other way to fly. If you're living any other kind of a life, you're missing it. This is kind of the point of why we're here. So I think it's a holy moment for us.

Yes. And it's kind of similar, Steve, to what I pitched to President Trump in 2019. In 2019, President Trump could not get Congress to fund the wall. No matter what he did, Congress would not give him any money to fund the wall. So I wrote a column at the Gateway Pundit, Jim Hoff's great site, and I sent it to President Trump and I had one of my great buddies who sits next to President Trump in Bar Lago all the time hand it to him. And President Trump read it in front of him and the next day he announced it. What I said was that you need to a national security emergency on the border and that will allow you, that will give you the right to grab the money from the Pentagon budget and use it to build the wall without getting Congress's approval. And obviously it was never taken to court. Nobody sued, it was never knocked out. It was automatically done and he built the wall. Because I knew at that time, what I know now, that national security emergency, Steve, cannot be challenged in court. That was a 1983 ruling by the Supreme Court when Reagan was president. If you declare a national security emergency, the president does. The only way for Democrats to overturn it is to get a 2/3 vote of both houses of Congress. And of course, no one is going to get a 2/3 vote of both houses of Congress. It's not possible. It can't happen. So President Trump got his wall and that was my idea. Now, I've come up with a similar idea.

But hang on, hang on, hang on. Where is this codified that if he declares a national security emergency? The courts. It's impervious to court challenge, but you need from the legislature two thirds. Is that laid out in the ruling in 1983?

Yeah. I don't have the name of the ruling in front of me, but believe me, I researched it. John Goodman is my election researcher and he did the research. And it's an 1983 ruling. And the Supreme Court ruled. Only way that you could possibly overturn a national security emergency by the President, a declaration by the president is a two thirds vote of both houses of Congress. So then I wrote months ago, this is starting in March. I've been. This is not new, Steve. I've been pounding this one since March. So four months now, I've been screaming on tv, on radio, on podcasts, a national security emergency on elections. Forget the SAVE Act. The Senate is not going to pass it. We have rhinos in the Senate. You can't get 50 votes. If you could get 50 votes plus the vice president, you'd still need to suspend the filibuster. You'd need a talking filibuster. They don't have the votes to do that either. You're just pounding sand. All these people that keep saying, SAVE act, SAVE act, Save America act, even President Trump, I'm telling you, you're not going to get the SAVE Act. And even if you did, this is the key point, because I love the SAVE Act. I would do anything to get the SAVE Act. But if you did, somehow, by a miracle of God, by Houdini, by David Copperfield, pull a rabbit out of a hat and at the last minute get the SAVE act passed by the Senate, you would then get Mark Elias and his Democrat communist traitor lawyer team to immediately sue in court. And immediately courts would freeze it and it would never be in place by the midterms. It would take a year or longer to litigate in court. So all the people screaming about the SAVE Act, I'm on their side, but they're in a fantasy, Steve, because the minute it's passed, it's challenged in court, and it's never going to be defect for the midterm. So you're just blowing smoke right now. No one's going to pass it. But this is my idea. Is the SAVE act on steroids Trump style? This is Trump style. This is a national security emergency for elections, just like the national security emergency for the border that I invented out of, out of whole cloth. I mean, I just came up with it. I woke up from asleep one day and I said, this is a good idea. And then I was the lead speaker at the, at the Wyoming GOP annual dinner in 2019, and I told him my idea for a national security emergency at the border. I said, if you agree with this idea, clap, let me know. I got a standing ovation. 500 people in the room stood up and went wild for it. So that's when I pitched it to Trump. I'M telling you, I've got it again. This is the solution. National security emergency for elections that can't be overturned, unlike the SAVE act, which could be challenged in court and frozen until it's decided by the Supreme Court. And as you find out today, you don't even know if you're going to win in the Supreme Court a year from now or two years from now. It will not help the midterm. Stop talking about the SAVE act and do a national security emergency for elections, which is the SAVE act, which contains everything that.

You predicate this on and then what is actually in the executive order that makes sure that we have a free and fair election in November, sir?

So, number one, the number one thing you'd predicated on is foreign interference in US Elections. And there's two parts that. Number one, illegal aliens are voting all over the United States. We all know it. I live in Las Vegas, Nevada. The only reason we ever lose in Nevada, everyone I know here, it's a very red Republican state, but it's a borderline purple state. Thank God we do have a Republican governor now and a Republican lieutenant governor and a Republican controller. And Trump won Nevada in the last round in 2024. So we're making some headway because every Republican in California is moving here. They're running for their lives and moving to Las Vegas. So we're becoming more Republican. But we've been losing elections because we give illegals the right to get a driver's license when they get a driver's license. Motor Voter, which was passed on the federal basis by Bill Clinton, allows them to automatically register to vote. They don't even have to say anything, and they can't turn it down. Automatically register to vote, a dmv. And then the Nevada legislature, which is all Democrat, codified it, and they said you can't even turn it down. So every illegal that gets a driver's license in Nevada automatically is registered to vote. There's 19 states, plus D.C. where illegals are registered to drive. And I guarantee you they're all registered to vote and they're voting. Why wouldn't you? If you vote Democrat, you get to stay in the country. If Republicans win, you get kicked out. So of course they're all voting, and of course they're all voting Democrat. So we have foreign Interference in American elections, number one, through illegal aliens voting. What could be more foreign interference than Mexico and other countries sending their own citizens here to determine our elections? And number two, what you said at the beginning of this interview, Steve, that's what ties it all together. If President Trump can finally prove that 2020 really was stolen in foreign countries, that's foreign interference in American elections. All of that leads to this executive order. And the executive order would include everything that's in the Save America Act. And additionally, it would demand no more machines and paper ballots. So it's a supernova of the SAVE Act. It's better than than the SAVE Act.

And I believe that there's strongly going to be very strong evidence to support the executive order. Your national calling a national security emergency will have a very strong predicate upon that. Now, let me ask you why can't just explain to the audience again, given he declares, he shows evidence of foreign interference in many different ways, he then declares a national security emergency about the elections in the United States States, he signs a national security executive order to that that lays out in the predicate what the emergency is and then lays out what his solution for that emergency. Tell the audience again, why can't Mark Elias just run into court like he did? You know, Mark Elias just took it on the chops this morning on the election situation. But as you know, he's got a lot of money in back of him. He's got a team of lawyers. He's going to run into court right away. Wayne, we what's to stop him? Again,

this is not a traditional eo. It's not a typical eo. It's a national security emergency. When you use those three words, national security emergency, it triggers the supreme court ruling in 1983 that said you cannot challenge in court a national security emergency. And by the way, as I said at the beginning of this interview, when I came up with this idea for national security emergency for the border in 2019 and Trump adopted it, nobody challenged it. It was never challenged. And Trump did exactly what I said. He took the money from the defense budget to build the wall instead of waiting for Congress, never challenged by the Mark Elias of the world or any other Democrat group or constituency or lawyer. So I think for that very reason. But now I'm just telling you, 83 ruling by the Supremes, it's already in the law, in the books. You cannot challenge a national security emergency in court. It has to be overcome only by a two thirds vote of both houses of Congress, the House and the Senate. And they don't have the votes. This is the way to get it through A and B to make sure no challenges. So it's useful for this midterm or we are going to lose the midterms.
