Steve Bannon
Largely rejected candidates they associated with the Washington establishment. In Colorado's deep blue first district, 29 year old Mehlat Kyros, a former lawyer turned barista and PhD student, backed by the Democratic Socialists of America, unseated 15 term incumbent Deanna DeGette in the Governor's race. State Attorney General Phil Weiser defeated Senator Michael Bennett in a race that Bennett was one at one point leading by 30 points, folks in the polls. Senator John Hickenlo, however, survived his own challenge from progressive state Senator Julie Gonzalez by moving to the left and drastically outspending Gonzalez. The moment when you said to yourself, screw it, I'm going to run for Congress,
Mehlat Kyros
it was actually after Donald Trump won the presidency a second time. My first instinct wasn't to run myself, it was that we would need to run somebody. I sincerely believe that money in politics is the greatest thing that's preventing us from passing things like Medicare for all and universal child care. And seeing that the congresswoman had been taking millions of dollars from a lot of these different industries was a sticking point for me. And so I asked around to see if there would any. There was anybody in our state house and in our city council that would be interested in running. And I didn't hear that anybody would. And I think competitive primaries are so important, especially in moments of crisis like this right now for our economy and our democracy. And I decided to run concerned that Trump is going to use this power
Stephen K. Bannon
to interfere with the midterms.
Mehlat Kyros
Do you share that fear?
Julie Gonzalez
Thousand percent.
Pastor Laurie
Like, as I asked it, I'm like,
Steve Gruber
I know that here's the.
Julie Gonzalez
In a post January 6th world, this isn't like, oh, maybe he wants to.
Stephen K. Bannon
I don't, I don't, I don't know.
Julie Gonzalez
But so like, we know that they're going to try to do something. They have the largest paramilitary force in ICE that a president has ever had. The question now is, what are we going to do about it? That's a particular question that we should pose to Democratic governors that actually this is where all the swing congressional races are. Virginia, New Jersey, New York, California, Michigan. That's where the game in town is. What are those Democratic governors doing? Where's their plan to say, here's how we're going to stand up to electoral interference?
Marc Elias
And I also wonder about the Brennan center, because there are all of these nonpartisan centers that are preparing the kind of legal challenges that may need to be put into action. Right.
Florida Politician
Doing this on behalf of myself, yes, I'm the sole target of these two investigations down in Florida. But I'm doing it on behalf of others who are being harassed and who are being subjected to the same type of punishment and condemnation. And we have to stand up against Donald Trump and the abuses of authority and the fact that the Department of Justice is being exploited in this way.
Steve Bannon
In light of this Justice Department's highly irregular conduct, courts now recognize that it no longer deserves the presumption of regularity in certain categories of cases, and in particular in those against the president's perceived adversaries.
Stephen K. Bannon
It's a sham.
Legal Analyst
That phrase presumption of regularity sounds benign, right? Sounds garden variety. That is such a scathing thing to say that the courts and they function as a court system on the presumption of regularity, that everybody in there is a officer of the court doing due diligence, being truthful, honest and frank with the court system. What John Brennan is saying is, can't be trusted, they can't be trusted. And I'll tell you what, judges have shown their distrust in this Department of Justice in just the last few weeks. I'll get to that in a moment. But this court filing, the one Luke just quoted, is as subtle as a sledgehammer to the ribs. I mean, this is full of fiery words and sharp elbows. He's saying it's a conspiracy theory that is the basis of an investigation into him. He is saying the Department of Justice is working on a conspiracy theory and doing so at the president's becking to satisfy Trump. And he's saying, to save your records, make sure, your honor, that you order these people to save their records, because this thing's going to fall apart, and we expect to take action down the road, and we want the records not to be destroyed. That's what he's saying in this complaint. But he's also leaning into something here. Judges have already called out the Department of Justice for not being honest or for not being trustworthy. We saw that in Virginia on the slush fund. When Todd Blanche says, take my word for it, we're not moving forward with the slush. Judge said, we can't take your word for it. Not right now, not you.
Steve Bannon
And they're obsessed with this. And even Alito in his very, very weird, strange, actually morally repellent dissent yesterday, the reason they're obsessed with it is that they can't talk about the broader thing they want to do, Right? They want to talk about these edge cases. What they really want to do is essentially selectively strip American citizenship from literally tens of of millions of people in this country, tens of Millions, Right? Your friends and your family members and your neighbors and your doctors and your nurses and the guy that serves you coffee. Right. To redefine what it is to be American. That's what they're after.
Stephen K. Bannon
What is your reaction to basically, Justice Kavanaugh giving a roadmap to Congress?
Constitutional Lawyer
Even if Congress takes the roadmap and tries to drive on that road? That is a road to nowhere. And the reason it's a road to nowhere is that if the constitutional holding has five votes, which it clearly does, Congress can pass all the statutes that they want. And first of all, they're not going to pass legislation that restricts birthright citizenship. That's not going to happen. But even if they did, the Constitution is supreme over a statute in the same way that the Constitution is supreme over an executive order, which is to say they can pass legislation as long as the five justices who are in the majority are still on the court. That legislation is unconstitutional for the same reason that yesterday's decision was reached.
Marc Elias
What is Bill Pulte going to find that no one else had been able to find? Marc Elias wrote this in on April 6th in Time magazine 2021, Elias battled. This is about Mark Elias from Time Time magazine. Elias battled the Trump campaign, which filed a trove of futile lawsuits to overturn the 45th president's loss. In the 10th post election month, Elias notched 64 legal victories against the Trump campaign and lost just one case. The lone for Donald Trump in that case involved a Pennsylvania judge who sided with the Trump campaign, ruling that voters could not go back and cure their ballots if they failed to provide paper identification three days after the election. The ruling only affected a very small number of votes. I bring that up because people have checked. People have checked. They have looked. I know if it was in there, Donald Trump would have made sure we heard about it by now. This is not just about 2016. This is not just about 2020. I think this is very much so. Not even just about the midterms, about 2028.
Legal Analyst
You all want to gamble? I got a guaranteed winner. Guaranteed winner. I promise you this one pays off. Sometime soon, some Democrats are going to tell Bill Pulte to save his records because when they come back in the majority they want to get after this, you see the Director of National Intelligence being used as a mechanization towards looking into voting voting Systems in the 2026 and or 2028 elections. Democrats are concerned this is the planting of seeds they hope to harvest after November to throw some stuff in the air to Try to either cloud a Democratic victory or to try to sow legal challenges.
Stephen K. Bannon
Got DNI Pulte over there as the new director. We also know you have the task force set up on declassification, maybe looking. Talking about international, maybe looking at some declassification. Are you able to give us an update on declassify?
Jay Clayton
Almost everything. And, you know, by the way, we have. Jay Clayton is going in. You know, Bill Pulte is a very talented guy, but he's just there temporarily until Jay Clayton. And Jay Clayton is going through the process. And Jay Clayton, highly respected, and so is Bill Pulte. But Bill is there just for a fairly short period of time. But while he's there, I said, you can declassify whatever you want.
Stephen K. Bannon
Do you think we're going to get some soon or maybe 25?
Jay Clayton
I told him you can do it as well. You got to ask him. All right. But I think he's a friend of yours. I think that. I think that Bill will declassify you. I told him you can declassify whatever you want. So Bill's there just, you know, for maybe a month or two months or something. And Jay is going through the process. He's got a hearing in two weeks. Highly respected man, Jay Clavin. Okay, thank you. Thank you.
Stephen K. Bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime. Pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on these people. Prison's not got a free shot. All these networks lying about the people, the people have had a belly full of. I know you don't like hearing that. I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but
Legal Analyst
you're not going to stop it.
Stephen K. Bannon
It's going to happen.
Legal Analyst
And where do people like that go
Stephen K. Bannon
to share the big lie?
Steve Bannon
MAGA media.
Legal Analyst
I wish in my soul, I wish that any of these people had a conscience.
Stephen K. Bannon
Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose? If that answer is to save my country, this country will be save.

War Room. Here's your host, Stephen K. Band.
Stephen K. Bannon
It's Thursday, the 2nd of July, in the year of our Lord 2026. Welcome as we continue our coverage in the run up to the historic 250th commemoration of the birth of the nation, which will take place all day Saturday, of course, today, if you're actually counting. I'm trying to be accurate. The Declaration of Independence was officially kind of done and ratified today, but they needed a day to have like they do in the White House when they do all the executive orders. They got to get it perfect and all the script and handwriting took a day to do that and the ink to dry. And then on the 4th that we actually decided to make the 4th the actual official
Constitutional Lawyer
day.
Stephen K. Bannon
Also in 1863, July 2nd, this is the day. Two moments at the Battle of Gettysburg, I think, saved the nation. One was Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain in the 20th Maine doing a fixed bayonet charge late in the afternoon against an Alabama regiment that saved the left flank of the Union army from being rolled up by John Bell Hood and General Longstreet and then led till tomorrow. And we'll go through, we'll go through the actual Pickett's charge in quite a bit of detail. And of course, the hero that won the was awarded the Congressional Medal of honor in 2010 by President Barack Obama. Alonzo Cushing from West Point, who was the gun commander right there at the bloody angle at that little wall that cut Pickett's charge in half. We'll do all that tomorrow. We're actually going to play some from the movie Gettysburg and talk about this. So much going on is this. 250. It's a lead story in Politico. This morning is an interview with yours truly where we talk about, as you for viewers of the show, you guys are quite familiar, where we talk about the old politics is burning down in front of us, something we've worked on here at the War Room and at Breitbart with President Trump for over a decade now. And you see this, you see this rising Marxist jihadists wave. As you remember, we went to Texas back in January to beat it back there. But I told people it's in Politico. Don't think this is just in New York. As we said back on this show in March of 2025, when Mandami was at 5% to keep an eye on him and that Cuomo who had $40 million. And everybody's telling him, well, the Catholic Church is endorsing. All the Jewish synagogues have endorsed him.
Steve Gruber
Him.
Stephen K. Bannon
The New York Post has endorsed him. The Murdoch's, Fox News has endorsed him. The New York Times has endorsed him. The cops, the firemen, all the public employees, they're all endorsing this guy. It's going to be a blow at this kid's nothing. And I said, yeah, but you know, he's got a thousand people every day canvassing in the outer boroughs. They're knocking on doors in Brooklyn. They're knocking on doors in the Bronx. They're knocking on doors in Queens. Staten island maybe, not so much. Remember, always and everywhere At Mandami when he won the other night. And by the way, he won a lot more than New York City. He won down in Texas. The reason we took the show down there is because that we knew there was going to be a big challenge in Senate District 9 in a special election which Trump had won by 14 points. In November, the DSA and the Working Family Party. Mandami going door to door, getting low propensity voters in the freezing cold, in zero degree temperature and ice storms. A 17 point win. Trump won by 14. I think the candidate there won by 17. Of course, in Houston, the working family party in DSA, the old fashioned way, going door to door and knocking. Remember, Mandami is the only. Have you ever heard any politician. Any politician. When they won the other night, what's the clip we played over and over again? Mandami took to the podium and said, raise your hands if you canvassed. Everybody in that room, in that packed room raised their hands to cheers. And he said, look around. Those are the hands that won this race. They get it. Now. What have I advocated from the beginning? Marxist jihadists. All the money's from overseas. Is the Justice Department on top of that?
Stephen K. Bannon (Host)
Cash?
Stephen K. Bannon
Are we looking at that? Are we Treasury? Scott Bessant, you're on top of this. Doj. Todd Blanch, you're on top of it. Cash Patel, you're on top of it. Come on, man, I got the Three Horsemen of the Apocalypse right there. Are we looking at Mandami's financing?
Legal Analyst
We look at who.
Stephen K. Bannon
The puppets that control Mendavi. The Puppet Masters. Remember, this is not. It's not. It does not originate in the United States of America. But if you look at Denver, Michael Bennett lost the American West. That was a wake up call. If you don't think this thing's going nationwide, you're dead wrong. They already. They already control the biggest cities in the country. Short commercial break A Thursday in July. You're in the war room. Back in a moment.

Do it today in light change in non Farm payrolls. 57,000. That's about half what we were expecting. And last month it was revised from 172 down to 129. So the two month revision now is 93,000. That is a biggie. Excuse me. Minus 74,000. Our last look was 93. So minus 74 over two months. Now how weak is 57,000? That would be the lightest since it was negative in February at 156and that was the only negative number going all the way back to decent 2020. So kind of a weak comp there. Now if we look at manufacturing, I've been looking at that lately. It comes in at up 3,000 last month. However, positive 7,000 I was rather excited about becomes -2,000. If we look at the three month average. I'm roughing it up. It's probably close now to around 110,000. Average hourly earnings on a month over month basis up 310 exactly as expected. And here's what I would consider my favorite numbers. We're talking about 3.5 on average hourly earnings year over year. That follows 3.4. 3.4 obviously was the weakest going back to May of 21. 3.5 comps to that 3.6 that we had in April. But it's still well below kind of some of the headline inflation numbers that we've had. And that is significant. If we look at the workweek, 34.3 exactly as expected. The unemployment rate dropping down another 10. This is very fascinating. 4.3 expected 4.2. 4.2 would be the lowest rate since June of 25. One year. One year. Now if we look at the participation rate once again, this is really disappointing. 61.5. We're expecting 61.8. 61.5 would equal March of 21. To find a lower number, you're in February 21st. We want to include more. We want this number to be going up. Now, U6 is what I call the underemployment rate. It compares to U3, which is at 3 point. Excuse me, that 4.2 rate I referenced, this rate is 7.9. Once again, just like the other rate. This is good News. It follows 8.1, 7.9 is tied for the lowest of the year. To find a lower number, you go back one year.
Stephen K. Bannon
Thank you, Denver. Remember, this is the voice of God. So when they say I got it, I got it. Thank you, Denver. Thank you. I'm going to host and direct if I got to, guys. So look, one of the concerning things, you got these restatements. We're going to get EJ and Tony on and I think EJ will be on in the this evening to break all this down. I want to talk about the labor participation rate. That essentially means basically 39% or 39 or have almost 40% of people eligible to work are out of the labor force. Why do you think the Marxist jihadist are getting traction? And Mandami is not 10ft high. Don't believe that at all. In fact, I think he's got. He potentially has feet of clay if you move and move smartly. But here's what you can't do. Republicans in the pundit class, because you got a ton of pundits. You can't take a copy of Milton Friedman and throw it at him or Atlas Shrugged. You're going to go back to the Paul Ryan and to all the playbook of Ted Cruz's entire crowd. This is how you got in this jam. You're not going to take Atlas Shrugged and throw it at him. You're not going to take Milton Friedman's what? Freedom and capitalism, Throw it at him. That's not going to work. Why is it not going to work? Because the elites in this country have sold the country out all this garbage and talk about free trade and free trade and free trade. And you had a mercantilist system run by real hardcore communists in China of which the American business community and most of the Republican donors underwrote to take your jobs. This is why this entire situation is like a Greek tragedy in that the great strength of our hero turns out to be his core weakness. You, the working class and middle class in this country, in the United States of America, you underwrote your own destruction. Let me repeat this. You underwrote your own destruction. Well, Steve, how did we do that? Here's how you did it. Your tax dollars and your pension funds, the private equity and Wall street that financed this crap, all is your money. The taxes that went to do it. To build up a military that does not focus on the existential threat of the Chinese Communist Party. It's got to spread all over hell's half acre in one foreign war from the Ukraine, where we've given, I don't know, 350 to 500 billion. And thank God President Trump stopped that. To the endless wars in the Middle East. What did I say at the National Conservative Convention to that whole group of phony nationalists? Totally phony. I told him right there, it's all a Mossad front. I said, the problem of the issues in the United States of America are not on the streets of Tehran. They're on the streets of New York City. The enemy is inside the gate and the enemy is getting stronger. Look at the statistic of who loves the country. If you raise them on Howard Zinn, if you raise them, that the oppressed versus the oppressors, if you raise them in the framework of the Marxist,
Steve Bannon

Stephen K. Bannon
we have a Republican leadership and Democratic leadership. The Democratic leadership is going to get swept away. When Michael Bennett gets blown out in Colorado, when a 15 term congressman that he thinks a layup gets blown out. And I didn't play, we could play the confrontations they had with her in like coffee shops, all about, all about the Palestinians. I haven't played this. Remember, I'm telling my producer, I got to play this. Scott is a. Scott Wiener. Scott Wiener is one of the most despicable, I think probably the most despicable public officials in the country. He is a, I don't think a state senator in California. He's in the California legislature. He has been the tip of the spear of all this transgender ideology, putting it into law in California, you know, getting pedophiles off, you know, back into the community. He's the leader. He has taken these bold moves, you know, against normal society to drive this agenda. He is in some park. They have Transgender Day. I think it was on Sunday. They have Transgender Day. And he's walking through a park on Transgender Day, and all of a sudden, and you see this park, you look like you're in the fifth circle of hell in Dante's Inferno. It's beyond a freak show. It's a freak show Sunday at this park because it's like Transgender Ideology Day, which is everything else. They come up to him and somebody says, we want to thank you for your leadership. It's great. And then they go and just rip on him for being a Zionist. And I'm telling you, this guy's despicable. The bravery he showed and walked through that crowd because they were that close, that close to actually getting physical and tearing him from limb to limb. This is a group of jackals and hyenas against a guy who is their leader in one of their most radical and part of their most radical ideology. One of the centerpieces of the ideology, which is transgender and how's it built. Why did we take the show to Texas? You understand why we took the show to Texas? Why we take the show to Texas? Because a key part of the Red Green alliance is radical Islam. And you saw in Texas the vast expansion. Peter McElveen that we, you know, we have his show three times a week on War Room, Peter McElveeny came from London and said he was going to go to Dallas, Fort Worth for a week. Because I asked him, I said, hey, while you're there, can you answer one question? Since London's fallen, and when I say London's fallen, I think 15% of London is now Muslims, right? And you see what's in the street. And I keep telling you, they're going to civil war and they know it. I said, compare that to Dallas today in the same time frame. And he came back and says, you guys are so much farther gone. I said, how can that possibly be? He said, because when the Muslims, the Islamic community came from Britain, it was coming from the colonies, and the British elites completely boxed them out. The business community, the cultural community, the political community had nothing to do with them. In Texas. It's the exact opposite. The business community, the capitalists, they embrace the most radical parts of the Islamic agenda. The real estate guys particularly. Remember, what did I say yesterday was? I said, the curtain's coming down on Bushism. John Roberts is a Bush acolyte. And that radical interpretation of the Constitution to essentially destroy the nation by birthright Citizenship is Bush open borders policy from the beginning. And who told us religion after 9 11? Who went to the mosque the next day and told us, oh, Islam's a religion of peace. It's not a religion of submission. The Bushes, the Republican establishment. Ezrahim Kassam texted me about the, about the political article and I said the Republican establishment and the consulting class were asleep. He says, you got one thing wrong. They wake up. The consulting class wakes up when they hear the cash register go cha Ching. The old politics is dead and it's burning to the ground before our eyes. If you don't want to get swept away by history,

Let's get her so nervous that one nation's above her in the rankings that she tells Kelsey, hey, hey, hey. I gotta get back to touring. See you later, buddy. Listen up, patriots. President Trump is dropping a $100 trillion bomb on the globalist. Jerome Powell's term has come to a close and he's installing a real America First Fed chair who will, according to Jim Rickards, slash rates and supercharge our reindustrialization. This is what one man is calling Trump's gift on America's 250th anniversary, unleashing a historic super cycle in American mining rare earths, uranium and gold. The same forces that turned $5,000 into over a million in less than five years during China's booms are hitting here now. Okay, to keep you totally up to date, here's what we're gonna do. There's a tweet out that somebody put a little earlier from Mark Elias, right, The hammer of the left democracy docket. And this is where he says, he kind of gets. He kind of sees directionally where this may be going. And he says, hey, if they try to do a national security emergency order on voting, the Senate Democrats have a whole thing they're going to do right now to stop it. The NBC Ken Delaney, who, remember, Ken Delaney, is the, he's the lead FBI, CIA, really, I guess law enforcement more than intelligence, but he does some of that for NBC News. Been there forever. He is. He's the comms director for the Deep State, right? You have the wash. You have the Washington Post, which is really the Langley bugle, and the crowd over there that have been, you know, have been in the comms department. But Delaney and really runs the comms department. So he's Deep State. He's got a great article. And look, I've been picking on my buddy Cash, and Cash is like a brother to me, right? Co host of the show. We actually made the film on government gangsters. And I've been all over Cash about where am I? Where, where are my government gangster? But they have an amazing article in NBC News this morning. If we can get up Kendalling, it's that the FBI, was it dozens or hundreds of analysts going through the ballots they took on Tulsi Gabbard and the FBI took in Georgia. So folks in Georgia, this is going through an incredible analytics by the FBI also, they are totally freaking out about Pulte and John Solomon. And that's convergence. Solomon's running a task force, Pulte is running dni. They're both going over and declassifying information related to election integrity or election fraud, and particularly focused on foreign interference in the 2020 election. In my understanding, as rudimentary it is, is that sometime in the not too distant future, let's say either before President Trump goes to NATO and I think he leaves for NATO on Tuesday, or immediately when he returns, which I think will be over the weekend. So either be, I think this Monday or Tuesday or next Monday or thereabouts, there's some plan to actually have maybe some sort of, you know, potential briefing to the American people so that you can see it wholeheartedly. We are working. And by the way, Mark Elias getting ahead of that and saying, hey, if they declare a national security emergency around election fraud and election integrity, we're going to stop it shows you how real this is. Now we're got a team of constitutional lawyers looking at all this, but by laying the predicate that you've had foreign interference in a presidential election in 2020. And we all know that happened. We know the Chinese Communist Party had at least 18 states where they were into the voter rolls, right? That's been proven by Katherine Engelbert and those folks years ago. And a grand jury in Los Angeles did indict one of the Chinese guys about that. We know that the CCP and they actually put the information on the servers in mainland China. So we know that. And I think that all be brought to light. It'll also show, I think quite interesting just randomly how it was the Bidens that they were supporting. Just a random consideration given the Biden sold us out to the Chinese Communist Party. As the laptop from hell shows, as I said, you come for the profit taking the rent, seeking the treason of the Bidens and all the documents and you stay for the pornography of Hunter Biden. And Hunter Biden's what he kept on his laptop. Of course, he admits, oh no, it's not mine. That was all made up. No, no, no, no, it wasn't a Russian disinformation. So an executive order that declares a national security emergency because of the frailty of our election system would be laid on the predicate of that. And upon that, that's when the fight starts. When the fight starts, people say, hey, it's impervious to court challenges. Other people say it's not true. Obviously it needs a two thirds by the INA the decision in 1983. I think a national security merger would take 2/3 of the House and the Senate to overturn it anyway. It'll be a big old fight, but you got to get there first. So I think a lot of lot of work is going on on that behind the scenes. And Ken Delaney and as the, the comms director for the Deep State Lays all out in NBC News, they make sure people see it okay. On the cultural side, One Nation, Steve Gruber. Steve, we've got Pastor Laurie here. I want to talk about how you guys put how you pulled this song together so quickly. And the song has such power and we're proud to give you guys, you know, and our platforms, not huge, but to give the platform that you're running neck and neck with Taylor Swift right now on her wedding week. So they get. She's got all the focus in the world from the, from the James Comey and the Swifties, Right? Plus, you've got probably the greatest talent that or one of the biggest talents. Nashville's broken in a generation. Ella Langley. But you're in competition with both of those. Talk to me about it.
Steve Gruber
Well, you know, I'm really blessed. Laura's here with us. Laura and I got together on this. I brought her the idea as real America's music. Said, hey, what do you got that you can put together for us? Because I had offered him a song that I did a few years ago, and they said, hey, that's really great, but what do you got that'll have faith, family, God? And I went to Laura, who's one of my pastors. I said, look, I've got these components and these ideas. And look, she sat down at the piano like she's Elton John, and she turned these words into magic. She really did. And I couldn't be more blessed. I mean, Laura, you can tell them you have music in your head. And on this video, it's not just the piano. It's the guitar work. It's the bass. I stepped in and played the drums because I couldn't make her do everything on there. And so she stepped up and she made magic. I mean, her voice on here, to me, is just magical.
Stephen K. Bannon
Well, Pastor, tell us about that. Tell us about writing it. No, tell us about that and also writing it. It's just amazing. We're so put together so quickly.
Pastor Laurie
When we wrote it, Steve had come to me, and we were, you know, going back and forth with. With some things, and he put the pledge of allegiance in that, which I just think was brilliant to put that in the middle of the song, because, you know, that's the foundation of our country. And, you know, in the first verse. The first verse is the actual prayer that George Washington prayed for this nation. And I believe that's part of what makes this song so powerful. You know, George Washington prayed those exact words when he founded the United States of America and became President of the United States. And then, of course, the chorus. One nation under God. I really believe America needs to come back together. We've had a lot of division in our nation, and we need to come back together and become one nation under God. We need to go back to the basics, go back to the beginning where we started. That's what I believe.
Stephen K. Bannon
How can that happen when the real opposition here is Marxism? The core of Marxism is not simply atheism. It hates and detests Christianity above all other religions. So how can you unify around that when obviously the true Enemy here is a. Is something deeper than atheism. It's atheism coupled with a focus to destroy Christianity, ma'.
Steve Gruber
Am.
Pastor Laurie
Yes. Well, you know, the Bible says the devil comes to steal, kill, and destroy. And if I was him, the first thing I would do is try to divide the United States of America, because he can divide and conquer. So what we want to do is bring the nation back together in unity with faith, with family, with church, with the word of God, because that's where we started. And without the word of God, this nation can't succeed. We can't. We can't go on without going back to the roots. And that is the word of God, the gospel of Jesus Christ. That's what this nation was built upon. So that's where we start. We go back. We go back. We worship the Lord. We go to church. That's. That's how we start. And, you know, this song has unified, you know, the entire country. We have churches, we have pastors coming. They're playing it in their services. We have people outside that aren't Christians that are playing the song. It's unifying the United States. So that's where we start.
Stephen K. Bannon
Talk to me about the first verse from General Washington. What is that verse? How did you think of that?
Pastor Laurie
Well, I went back, actually. Steve. Steve was talking about prayers of the President, and me and Steve were going back and forth, and I thought, you know, what is George Washington's, you know, what did he do when he was praying for this country? Because we know that he was. And so the first verse of that song says, lord, hear my earnest prayer for these United States. Keep her in your holy protection. Cultivate the hearts of the people to unite in the faith. And what is the faith? George Washington was a Christian man, and he loved the Lord, and he was praying for the nation to unite in that faith. And you know what? We did? And that's how we became the United States of America. God's hand is on this nation. Look on our money. One nation under God, in God we trust. I mean, it's all over the place. If you just look, you can see God's hands on our nation.
Stephen K. Bannon
Steve Gruber, how do we get this song over? This weekend, on the 250th commemoration of the birth of this nation, the greatest nation on earth.
Julie Gonzalez
Where do.
Stephen K. Bannon
Where do people go get the song?
Steve Gruber
Well, we are the underdog, Steve. We're up against Sony and Universal, Netflix and all the big dogs that got big PR departments and their big machines. We're the underdog here at Real America's Music, we're fighting to get music and Laura's beautiful voice across this country. Download the QR code. If you have an iPhone, you just go to itunes. You Download it, it's 1 29. Your voice can be heard. If you don't have an iPhone, you can get it on Amazon. You can get it all sorts of great places. It's all over the place. And you can watch the official video all the way through on YouTube. It's Steve Gruber or Real America's Voice. And it's out there. And Laura's right. We're getting calls from all over the country now. I just cleared 42 radio stations that called me and said, we want to get this on as soon as possible. You know how hard it is to get radio play in America. Against the machine. It's a remarkable blessing, to be honest.
Stephen K. Bannon
You're. You're the Jimmy Iovan of this situation. I got to tell you, I thought you were Clive Davis. Now realize, Rob Sig, let's not bury the lead. So Sig says, hey, we're looking for some music. And Gruber goes, hey, I got a couple of things. Goes through his catalog, says, hey, I got something in. Sig says, hey, there's some real gold there. Can you get something? Can you come up with something new? The pastor then writes a massive hit in six weeks. Ladies and gentlemen, that's the music business. Rob Sigas, Clive Davis. Jimmy Ivan is. What you're doing in clearing radio stations is amazing. Once this is in the rotation, particularly of Christian music, it's going to explode even bigger. It's number one in Christian. Number two. Number two or three, tied with Taylor Swift. And back at Ella Langley on the charts of all music in the country. So just unbelievable. Steve Gruber. Great job, pastor. Amazing, amazing music. God inspired. God worked for you through you. Divine providence work.
Pastor Laurie
He sure did.
Stephen K. Bannon
Just incredible.
Pastor Laurie
Thank you so much.
Stephen K. Bannon
Thank you, guys. Okay, let's play a little song going out. Thank you, guys. We're going to push this song hardly. Let's play a little bit of One Nation, and we're. It's going to be the takeout music for the end of the first hour. Let's go and play it right now.
Pastor Laurie
Lord, hear my earnest prayer for these United States. Keep her in your holy protection.
Steve Gruber
Our first president. Pray, cultivate the hearts of the people to unite in the faith and form a bond of brotherly love to what no man could ever break. Lord, bless the fallen soldiers who have given up their lives to the Blood spilled in the battles and the family left behind. We honor the fallen soldiers who have have bought and given all 250 years we're still standing tall. One nation under God May we always be the home of the brave and the land of the free. For every battle blood was lost America sea to shining sea.
Stephen K. Bannon
War room.
Stephen K. Bannon (Host)
Here's your host, stephen k. Ban.
Stephen K. Bannon
Can we play? I tell you what we play now before we introduce our star. We're going to hang on.
Julie Gonzalez
We're.
Stephen K. Bannon
Can we play? It's July 2nd and I want to play. Let's play Joshua Lawrence. Chamberlain. Do we have that? Do we have that? We're going to do the second day at Gettysburg since this happened on July 2, 1863. One of the two moves on the second save by two one by the 20th Maine and the next day by Alonzo Cushing in the artillery battery that was right there at the copse of trees. We'll do that tomorrow. Let's go ahead and play this from the movie. My dear friend Ron Maxwell made a masterpiece. Gettysburg. Let's get. With Jeff Daniels as Joshua Lawrence.
Julie Gonzalez
Chamberlain.
Stephen K. Bannon
Let's go and play it. We can't hold them again, sir.
Stephen K. Bannon (Host)
You know that.
Stephen K. Bannon
Well, if we don't, they go on by and over the hill and the whole flank caves in. Sir, here they come. Well, we can't run away. If we stay here, we can't shoot. So let's fix bayonets. We'll have the advantage of moving down the hill. They got to be tired, the revs. They got to be close to the end if we so fix bayonets.
Legal Analyst
Ellis, wait.
Stephen K. Bannon
Ellis, you take the left wing, I'll take the right. I want a right wheel forward of the whole regiment. What do you mean, charge? Yes, but here's what we do. We're going to charge swinging down the hill just like we pulled back to this left side of the regiment. Now we're going to swing it down. We swing like a door. We're gonna sweep them down the hill just as they come up.
Jay Clayton
Understand?
Stephen K. Bannon
Does everybody understand?
Steve Bannon
Yes, sir.
Stephen K. Bannon
Okay, Ellis, you take the left wing. And when I give the command, I want the whole regiment to go forward swinging down to the right.
Jay Clayton
All right, sir.
Steve Gruber
Come on.
Stephen K. Bannon
Come on, dad.
Steve Gruber
Come on, dad. Let's go.
Jay Clayton
Move.
Steve Gruber
Quickly, boys.
Jay Clayton
Quickly.
Steve Gruber
Move. All right, done. Move, boys. Let's go.
Legal Analyst
Left wing. Right wheel.
Jay Clayton
Right wheel.
Julie Gonzalez
Charge.
Jay Clayton
Charge.
Marc Elias
Pistol.
Stephen K. Bannon
A prisoner, sir.
Pastor Laurie
Wait here.
Steve Gruber
You.
Stephen K. Bannon
My God.
Jay Clayton
My God.
Steve Bannon
My God.
Legal Analyst
My God.
Stephen K. Bannon
The boys are still advancing. You better go on and stop them. Yes, sir, but they're on their way to Richmond, sir.
Constitutional Lawyer
Richmond?
Steve Bannon
Not today.
Stephen K. Bannon
They've done enough for today.
Jay Clayton
Lawrence, why don't you meet this fellow from Alabama? Captain Hawkins, this is my brother, Colonel Chambers.
Julie Gonzalez
Sir.
Stephen K. Bannon
May I have some water?
Constitutional Lawyer
Yes,
Jay Clayton
sir.
Stephen K. Bannon
Tom, get this man a canteen. Yes, sir. Right this way. Colonel Joshua Lawrence Chamberlain, I think, made brigadier general. He was there at Appomattox with General Grant. Take the surrender of the Confederate Army. A side note here for the war room, the director, Ron Maxwell. I think one of the great directors did Gods and Generals. Gettysburg, a bunch of big films. Gettysburg being an absolute masterpiece. He was the guy that came to me years ago and said, hey, I've got a candidate. He was obsessed with beating Eric Cantor. He says, I think we got to take Cantor out because we can really lead a populist revolution. We take out this guy. And I said, it's never been done in history. You've never taken a seat sitting at the time. He was a majority leader under Paul Ryan. And I said, it's never been done in the history of the country in a primary. He says, no, I got the perfect candidate. I go, well, who would that be? He says, it's a pro tennis player, economics professor, like Chamberlain, Economics professor at Randolph Macon. And I go, let me. Let me see this guy. And I didn't believe him at first. And so it shows up and it is the Dave Brat. Dave Brat raised the entire amount of $100,000 for his race against 15 million and of course, for the first and only time in the history of this republic, defeated a sitting majority leader in a primary and I think beating by 10 or 15 points and changed the course of modern politics.
Constitutional Lawyer
Politics.
Stephen K. Bannon
Bratz victory one notch down from President Trump, but a forerunner of what was going to happen in Brexit. A forerunner was going to happen later in 2016 with President Trump, when President Trump stepped on the stage and saved this republic. Okay, we're going to take a short commercial break. Very special guest next in the war room.
Steve Gruber
One nation under God May we always be the home of the brave and the land of the free. For every battle, blood was lost, darkness of every cause.
Episode 5487: Underwriting Your Own Destruction
Date: July 2, 2026
Host: Stephen K. Bannon
This episode of Bannon’s War Room centers on rising electoral upsets led by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA), the evolving power struggle within both major U.S. parties, and a growing sense of political and cultural fracture. Bannon connects current political movements to long-standing populist trends, economic discontent, and American history—especially as the nation prepares for the 250th anniversary of its founding. The episode pivots between election analysis, economic commentary, concerns about foreign interference, and the launch of a faith-driven song as a rallying point for national unity.

DSA & Progressive Wins:
Stephen K. Bannon reviews dramatic primary upsets—such as Mehlat Kyros (DSA-backed) defeating establishment Democrats in Colorado, and the leftward shift that allowed Senator Hickenlooper to survive his own challenge.
Grassroots vs Establishment:
Bannon repeatedly emphasizes the importance of grassroots organizing, door-to-door canvassing, and low-propensity voter turnout, citing candidates like Mandami and the DSA’s success in New York and Texas.
Populism’s Growth:
He argues that traditional political machines are collapsing, and that activism is now the prime mover in American politics.
“Marxist jihadists… already control the biggest cities in the country. If you don’t think this thing’s going nationwide, you’re dead wrong.” — Stephen K. Bannon [14:22]

Constitutional Hurdles:
Discussion on Justice Kavanaugh’s “roadmap” for Congress and the difficult path for legislation restricting birthright citizenship.
Foreign Interference & National Security:
Bannon suggests a looming executive order might declare a national security emergency centered on foreign interference (specifically Chinese intrusions into U.S. electoral systems), foreshadowing significant coming legal and constitutional confrontations.
“By laying the predicate that you’ve had foreign interference in a presidential election in 2020… that’s when the fight starts.” — Stephen K. Bannon [33:30]
Timestamps: 16:42 – 19:14, 19:14 – 22:41
Weak Jobs Report:
Bannon details disappointing labor stats: sluggish job growth, low participation rates (only 61.5%), and underemployment at 7.9%. He connects economic struggles to political volatility—arguing that elites, both Republican and Democrat, have “sold the country out.”
“You, the working class and middle class in this country, in the United States of America, you underwrote your own destruction.” — Stephen K. Bannon [20:17]
Failures of Free Trade:
He criticizes “free trade” rhetoric, blaming the American business community and Wall Street for empowering China and weakening the U.S. military and working class.
Timestamps: 22:59 – 27:38
Transgender Ideology & Political Hybrids:
Bannon lambasts California legislator Scott Wiener, linking transgender activism with a broader “Marxist jihadist” agenda. He brings in the “Red-Green Alliance,” claiming an alignment between the far-left and radical Islam, especially in Texas.
Decline of Bush-era Conservatism:
He argues that “Bushism,” with its openness to immigration and Islam, has been co-opted by radical elements, and that both parties’ establishments are obsolete.
“The old politics is dead and it’s burning to the ground before our eyes. If you don’t want to get swept away by history, focus.” — Stephen K. Bannon [27:39]
Timestamps: 34:13 – 42:15
“One Nation Under God” Song Launch:
Bannon spotlights the new song by Steve Gruber and Pastor Laurie, positioning it as a rallying cry for national unity amid division.
Religious Foundations:
The song’s lyrics are rooted in George Washington’s original prayer for the nation. Laurie emphasizes America’s need to return to faith and unity.
“Without the word of God, this nation can’t succeed… The gospel of Jesus Christ—that’s what this nation was built upon.” — Pastor Laurie [38:04]
Cultural Impact:
The song is gaining traction across radio and digital platforms, competing with Taylor Swift and others. Its rise is taken as evidence of public hunger for messages centered on God and patriotism.
“We have people outside that aren’t Christians that are playing the song. It’s unifying the United States.” — Pastor Laurie [39:09]
Timestamps: 10:34 – 12:22, 44:18 – 51:42
Gettysburg Lessons:
Bannon draws parallels between key moments at Gettysburg (Chamberlain’s bayonet charge) and present-day political inflection points, lauding bravery and leadership in the face of overwhelming odds.
“The battle of Gettysburg saved the nation… Two moments at the Battle of Gettysburg, I think, saved the nation.” — Stephen K. Bannon [10:34]
Grassroots Power:
Bannon praises successful grassroots challenges to establishment figures as harbingers of a transformative political era—recalling Dave Brat’s upset of Eric Cantor.

On the Stakes of American Identity
“What they really want to do is essentially selectively strip American citizenship from literally tens of millions of people.” — Steve Bannon [05:00]
Economic Commentary
“Why do you think the Marxist jihadists are getting traction?… you underwrote your own destruction.” — Stephen K. Bannon [19:14, 20:17]
Song & Spiritual Appeal
“George Washington prayed those exact words when he founded the United States of America and became President… America needs to come back together.” — Pastor Laurie [36:45, 39:16]
On Roots of Current Crisis
“The problem in the United States… are not on the streets of Tehran. They’re on the streets of New York City. The enemy is inside the gate.” — Stephen K. Bannon [21:42]
The episode is passionate and combative, rich in historical references and alarmist rhetoric about existential threats to American identity. Bannon’s tone is urgent and apocalyptic at times (“This is the primal scream of a dying regime”), interspersed with calls for grassroots action, spiritual revival, and faith-based unity. Guests adopt a similarly direct approach, emphasizing activism, distrust of federal institutions, and the necessity of a moral, faith-driven renewal.
Episode 5487 blends post-election analysis, legal maneuvering, economic grievance, and faith-based cultural content into a pointed argument that America stands at a crossroads. With both establishment parties under siege, Bannon positions his movement as the inheritors of the Founders’ legacy, calling for populist activism, economic fairness, and spiritual revival against what he characterizes as Marxist and globalist adversaries—both foreign and domestic.
For those who missed the episode, this summary not only outlines the major topics but captures the urgency, language, and context of a pivotal War Room broadcast.
