Narrator/Reporter
Trump once again this weekend said he canceled a planned attack against that country, citing, as he so often does, he claims, an emerging deal. Trump posted to True Social late Saturday night that the potential deal would, quote, include the immediate, complete and total opening of the Hormuz Strait and an end to Iran's nuclear threat. Now, Iran's Foreign Ministry has said this morning that Tehran is not currently holding talks with the U.S. oh, we're doing it again. Over the course of the five month long war, the President has threatened to escalate attacks on Iran, only to then walk back those threats. He's done that at least nine times by our count. Trump's latest move to cancel strikes followed a phone call with Saudi's Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman mbs, who raised concerns about the US Potentially escalating the conflict with Tehran. That's according to the ap. Here's what President Trump told reporters last night aboard Air Force One.
Donald Trump
What prompted you to call off last night? I was asked to by Saudi Arabia, by UAE and by Qatar and by Iran. We were all set to go just about at this time right now, and it would have been a massive attack. We're all set to go, but when the allies ask to call it off, you got to sort of say, well, let's see. And the reason they asked is I think there's a deal, there's a deal on hormones and then there will be a deal on the nuclear, or you might call it the denuclearization of Iran. Now, what we're doing is we're talking to them in the form of a negotiation. It begins tomorrow afternoon and we'll see if it's true. I'd love to do that. Save a lot of lives, save a lot of, a lot of unnecessary power.

Trump has lost control of this war. I don't think that when he walked into it, he expected it would be spreading across the region the way that it has. He's said as much. I don't think that this is what he wants to have. The Houthis have entered the conflict to begin to control, try to control the Red Sea. Already in the region, it's expanded beyond Trump's control and beyond Trump's reach. And then you have these other really ominous developments. You've had a Ukrainian strike on an Iranian boat that Ukraine claims was transporting weapons and other related war material between Iran and Russia. You've had information and evidence that Russia is helping Iran target US Bases, making Iranian strikes more comprehensive. At the same time, Russia continues to be undeterred, even though it's taking massive battlefield losses. You recently had a Russian missile landing in a Polish field which there have been drones that have crossed into Poland. First missile from Russia that we know of that's crossed into Polish airspace, impacting and Poland just again and again and again. You're seeing China supply missiles to Iran. Reportedly this war is not in his control. And right now, every combatant in every one of the major world conflicts is escalating. And so this is a, this is a situation I wanted people to begin to try to move their eyes just from focusing in on the in and outs of each ceasefire or false ceasefire or each deal or each fake deal, and instead take a bigger, broader view. These two conflicts to some degree are merging and they're expanding. And this is extraordinarily dangerous. In which of our world leaders. Which of our world leaders is serious about trying to reach a resolution? I don't see Anyone quite yet, Mr. President.
Interviewer/Host
Why is the US intervening to support the Japan yen at this time to support the Japanese currency?
Donald Trump
Because we have a good relationship with Japan. We're very strong, Very, very strong financially. They are, you know, they have a weakening yet and they wanted a little bit of help. And we're always there for Japan. Japan's been very good to us, with the exception, of course, of Pearl Harbor.
Interviewer/Host
What is the US Getting out of that arrangement?
Donald Trump
Financial benefit. Financial. Better. Did we also. It's also good for the world economy. But we make. Like when we did with Argentina, I got criticized. We made $25 billion on that deal. Venezuela, we make hundreds of billions of dollars. I make good deals. Intel, I made $75 billion for the country. I didn't make for me. I made for the country. Intel. I backed Intel. It's the hottest stock right now on the New York Stock Exchange, on the various stock exchanges. So we made about 75 to 80 billion dollars. And Japan wanted to. It was really more than anything else, it was a signal of friendship.
Stephen K. Bannon
You've said that the weakening and the
Donald Trump
dollar is doing great.
Stephen K. Bannon
You said the answer.
Donald Trump
The fact is our country is doing great. Everybody wants help from our countries.
Middle East Conflict Analyst
Back off. Because Iran has made it very clear that it is prepared to strike the energy infrastructure and other and other targets in Saudi Arabia, in Qatar, in countries that really don't want to see this escalation. And Iran has been broadening the front of its, the zone, of its activities, you know, to as far away as Egypt. There was a drone attack, an attempted drone attack on a US ship in Egypt. So Iran is not backing down at all. They're quite happy with escalation because they believe that ultimately this will deter Trump from pursuing this war. They're not backing down. Which makes it all the more odd that Trump thinks that these kinds of threats, that this will be the biggest bombing campaign since World War II, are going to deter Iran. It's not deterrable at this point because its reading of this war is that the higher the cost it imposes on Trump and America's allies in the Gulf and beyond the Gulf and on the world economy, the less likely this war is to be resumed in full by Trump. So this, this bluster is not working, but he keeps trying to throw spaghetti against the wall. One other point is that, you know, Israel was all locked and loaded and ready to join Trump in this, in this new attack on Iran and wasn't informed that he decided to cut it off.
Political/Military Analyst
All right, let's start with our roadmap this morning. It does begin with the US And Japan actually engaging in their first joint operation to support the sagging yen for the first time since 1998. Thoughts on this intervention because it is a major moment.
Donald Trump
Well, I do think that Japan is
Scientist/Medical Expert
in trouble because of the war. Right? I mean, I look, it's very interesting to see their LNG 22 versus ours to 2.8 dollars.
Stephen K. Bannon
You can't have a sustainable growth in
Scientist/Medical Expert
a country with energy is as expensive as this.
Donald Trump
I also obviously think that it's in our interest to have stronger yen.
Scientist/Medical Expert
They own a lot of our bonds.
Political/Military Analyst
We should point out, of course, it was a joint intervention after the currency did fall to decade lows. I think it was four decade lows, in fact, 40 years.
Stephen K. Bannon
Monday 3rd August in the year of our Lord 2026. Signal, not noise. We've warned for a long time that over leverage and massive deficits and having to finance these will lead to the world's largest margin call. And when that happens, everybody's going to have hell to pay. So let's talk about the signal today with this intervention into Japan. Yes. Did the president say everybody's looking for our help? Yes. Yes, Mr. President. They are looking for our help. Let's maybe, maybe the focus should be on the mass deportations to get these illegal alien invaders out of our country, that America and American citizens need help. But I'll get to that in a moment. I've got bowling and rickards. Jim, let me talk, let me start with you. This a major moment. We're not doing this because Japan's friendly, Japan's and, you know, part of it's an ally. Part of it's the military alliance. We have to make sure the Chinese Communist Party doesn't take over East Asia. But this bailout today, thank God you've got Scott Besant, a trader who over his career made a small fortune in trading around the Japanese yen. You've got him. Then Howard Lutnick as secretary treasury because you need a steady hand right now on global capital markets. But this is as serious as it gets. And we are. My theory of the case, we're in Japan for one reason. We're in Japan to save the US treasury market and also these potential investments, the $1 trillion that Japanese companies are supposedly going to invest or some of them already started, like Toyota, et cetera, in the United States. But principally we're there to save the global capital markets, particularly when we're so highly leveraged and we have to refinance. I think Scott's got to refinance
Middle East Conflict Analyst
eight
Stephen K. Bannon
or nine trillion dollars this year. In fact, the Wall Street, Bloomberg's had a great story up that will push out too. As War room has warned, you can't run 2 trillion dollar deficits in perpetuity. You just cannot. And the people think that we can, I think are going to get us into deeper and deeper trouble. Wall Street's actually pushing back on Scott with, hey, what is going on here? Are we looking at $2 trillion deficits that we're going to have to add on top of the debt you've got right now to refinance? Jim Rickards, we got you and Eric Bolling to kick things off. Tell us what you think.
Jim Rickards
Yeah, that's a good summary, Steve. It was interesting that in the clip you played before this, somebody said this is the first major government intervention in the yen market since 1998. What happened in 1998? Well, that was the Russia long term capital management crisis, September 1998. And I think United audience says I negotiated that bailout. So I have a little experience in this arena. You gave a good summary. Let me get right to the heart of it. The particular issue that's at stake and this affects the global financial system, it's something called the yen carry trade. Now, what is the yen carry trade? Well, it works like this. Let's say I'm a US Investor. By the way, it could be anywhere in the world, Euros, US Dollars. But I'll use us as an example. I'm a US Investor. I'm either a hedge fund guy or a banker. I want to do an acquisition or whatever US interest rates are around 5%, a little higher for private borrowers, but let's just say 5%. Japanese interest rates for 30 years have been close to zero. Even negative at times, but close to zero. Little higher right now. That's the problem. But I'll come back to that. So US rates are 5% or higher. Japanese rates are around zero. So as a borrower, you'd rather borrow at zero than 5%. How do you do that? Well, first of all, you go to Japanese banks and you take out a yen loan at 0% and then you take the yen and swap them into US Dollars in the foreign exchange market, that's a separate transaction. Then you take your US dollars and go ahead and invest in whatever you want. For hedge fund, but you're using leverage. Sorry. So for hedge fund, probably 2 or 3 to 1 leverage. For private equity investor, it could be 5 or 10 to 1, but it's a highly leveraged bet in US dollars. But you're paying 0% for the borrowing because you're borrowing in yen. So. And that 5% difference, or it could be higher, 7% or whatever you say. Well, that's a lot. Yeah, but if you're leveraging 10 to 1, that's 70 points. It's, you know, you know, 10 times 7 in my example, or 50 points 10 times 5 or whatever. That's where the leverage comes in. That is a huge. And all that profit drops to the bottom line, to the equity holder, the investor, the guy who's putting in the the equity or the general partnership. So I'm borrowing zero, investing at say 5 to 10%, leveraging between 5 and 10 to 1 and making a fortune on the cost. Now that's the yen carry trade. And it's all over the world. Every major currency, every transaction you can think of, it's funding China. It's basically global leverage is based on what I just described now, Sounds good. What can go wrong? What can go wrong quickly and it's happening is that Japanese interest rates start to go up. And when Japanese interest rates go up, then my profit disappears. So what do I do as an investor in that situation? I unwind the carry trade. So basically I take dollars, I swap them into yen, I pay back my yen loan, get out of that. And now one of several things happens. I'm either borrowing in dollars, but that may be okay because the spread is going away, that the profit of borrowing yen has gone away. So now I'm borrowing in dollars. What if I can't borrow in dollars? Well, what if the US Banks are Saying, sorry, no soup for you. Well, now what do I do? Well, I have to sell assets. So either you're basically putting pressure on the yen because I want to pay back the yen, or you're deleveraging the whole system. You're selling assets. That takes the stock market down. I can go on, Steve, but I think our viewers get the point. This thing permeates the global financial system. Everything you can think of, Chinese, foreign, direct investment, leverage deals, hedge funds, currencies. It's like trillions, trillions.
Stephen K. Bannon
This is why the world's elites, you know all this. Oh, we're capitalists. You're a bunch of, you know, low level scum. The system's kind of rigged. Don't bury the lead. Why is the Japanese 30 year at zero? That's not a natural law of capitalism. That's not Milt Friedman 101. That's because of massive interventions by the Japanese government. It's not that. It's not that. Investors throughout the world go, oh, the Japanese with their demographic implosion. The problem with the Chinese Communist Party and everything they've got going on, let's just give them free money. Well, we'll give them free money because we buy their business plan. That's, that's propped up by the Japanese government. This is, it's so interlocked. But the bottom line is. Well, we'll get to after. The bottom line is we have, I repeat this over and over again. Right now. This is one of the most dangerous things we've ever had. We have a highly leveraged bet through global markets, capital markets throughout the world, on artificial intelligence, delivering massive productivity increases without mass layoffs. And we still got $2 trillion deficits a year. Why do we have $2 trillion deficits? We're fighting wars everywhere and we've invited the world in here and we're going to pay for it. Short break. Back in a moment. You don't wait until your house is on fire to install a smoke detector. And you don't wait until the wind and rain hammer your windows and the power goes out to prepare for a hurricane. And you don't reach for your seatbelt after the impact because after the crash, the hurricane, or the house fire, it's too late. Similarly, you don't wait until the dollar goes to zero before you buy gold. It's too late. Then diversify with precious metals and diversify now because you never know what will threaten your savings next. Persistent inflation, a weakening dollar, unexpected financial disruptions. You don't know what's coming but you can take preventative steps, and you can take them today. Do that right now by requesting a free information kit on Gold from my friends at Birchgold Group. Just text my name, Bannon B A N N O N to the number 989-898. There is no cost and no obligation. Just straightforward information on how you can diversify your savings. Even an IRA or 401k with gold. I trust Birch Gold. You should trust them to text Bannon at 989-898. Take action and do it today. War Room, here's your host, Stephen K. Ban. Okay, folks, I realize a lot of this may sound very complicated. We're trying to. We're going to try to make it much more accessible, as we've done over at Birch Gold. Because one of the reasons this show spends so much time on capital markets and the global economy is that you cannot understand politics and power. You cannot understand the direction of your country unless you have a basic understanding of that. These shows that just go on and on. Like, just go on and on. It's all, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. It's money and power. Money and power. And to be dictated by. I also want to show you the phoniness of these guys sit there. Oh, we're capitalists and you're not capitalists. You want your tariffs, you want all this stuff. This system is totally and completely rigged. You're about to see some bailouts. Now, Scott's not. Scott is trying. Scott Bessant isn't. This is not a bailout at Japan because there are buddies. This is not a bailout of Japan because part of it is they are part of that incredible alliance that we need to make sure that the Chinese Communist Party does not run the tables in the three island chain and dominate the Pacific. And then America, you got a big problem. And this is not about the Persians. This is about the main thing. We're doing it to save the treasury market. We're doing it to make sure that we have the ability to stay as the prime reserve currency. Ever heard that before? You ever heard that? Oh, yeah, I heard that on Bannon's show one time a couple of years ago.
Middle East Conflict Analyst
Yeah.
Stephen K. Bannon
Long Term Capital Management. I'm gonna get to Bolling in a second because he's got a fabulous point to make. You go back to 1998, Jim Rickards, which is long before many of our audience were aware of anything like that or paid any attention to this. Long Term Capital Management, the implosion of that, which back, I think was only a It was relatively small compared to things we talk about today. But that happened. I think you should. 97, that almost took down all of Wall Street. This was a major crisis that needed intervention. Folks, you better strap in on this. If you saw what happened last week and what happened over the weekend, strap in Jim Rickards. Why are we helping Japan? Why is there any type of intervention? Why is Scott Besant using the balance sheet of the United States of America to help in Tokyo?
Jim Rickards
Sir? The reason, Steve, is that these crises, they use the word contagion. They spread. They start out kind of like, you know, small corner of the world and pretty soon it is global. And again in 1998, okay, that started in 1997 in Thailand. Thailand devalued their currency which made all those loans more dollar investments worth less. So people got. They sold everything in Thailand and got out. That spread to Malaysia, Indonesia, South Korea. People were killed in South Korea. There were riots in the streets. I spoke to the former Malaysian Prime Minister. He was the guy who stood up. It was a big fight at the IMF meeting in Hong Kong, 1997. I was there for that. But it took a year and a half to come around the world. I negotiated the LTC on bailout with 14 Wall street banks. I call them the 14 families and 19 international LE. Steve, no exaggeration that we were hours away, hours away from shutting every market in the world. That is not. And that is not an oversight.
Stephen K. Bannon
No, no, this was, this was, this was. This was the predecessor of 2008. And I've kept saying, hey, we're heading toward a 2008 and 2000 with the equity. Hang on one second right there, Jim. I'll come back to you because bowling's got a bounce. Bowling, this is about contagion. What happened, as you've been pointing out, what happened earlier in the. Really towards the end of last week that made this Japanese intervention into the Japanese capital market so important. Sir.
Eric Bolling
Yeah, I was, I was trading when, when Jim Rickards was. Was making sure that our financial system didn't collapse in 1998, I remember. And it was, it was a. It was a process. In 97, it started to fall. We started hearing about it. All of a sudden we hear about this Long Term Capital Management, a massive leveraged fund that was lose. Taking on waters underwater. And what were they going to do with it? If they had to bail out of all those positions, it could take the whole system down. And then the yen, the Japanese y puke. There were people dumping yen. And it was almost the Same thing happening Steven. Last Thursday we started hearing, we couldn't figure out for a week why there was so much tech selling that was like. It went from software companies then, then you know, more hardware companies. It was methodical. And we could not figure out why that was happening until Friday. We were Thursday, Friday we realized that their situational awareness. A 24 year old German kid who was some guru and AI had amassed $45 billion in a PE fund, private equity fund. And they were getting smoked. They were getting slaughtered. They were being liquidated by the banks. But they were selling.
Narrator/Reporter
Hang on,
Stephen K. Bannon
please don't bury the lead. The kid got $45 billion and leveraged it up unbeknownst to anybody. 400 he had 400% leverage on these trades. It was the leverage. It's not just the simple bets. He didn't know what he was doing.
Eric Bolling
He leveraged his ass.
Stephen K. Bannon
400 he had 4, 400% leverage. Totally unregulated. Nobody looking at it, nobody understood what was going on. And then these trades start hitting him. He has what, the world's going to go through a margin call, right? You got to put up more assets to back these dumb trades. Continue on. Sir.
Eric Bolling
He can't mean his margin calls. He start liquidating assets. He takes, he starts selling things he doesn't like best. He holds onto the things he likes the best and they're working with him and at some point they realized they're not going to be able, if it kept going, they weren't going to be able to hold prop this thing up. They weren't going to be able to get enough this stuff off the books. And so this $45 billion hedge fund starts shrinking. Then the yen happened and then the yen starts to fall apart. If you look at a chart on the end, it was almost simultaneous to when we started to realize this was a, almost a long term capital lookalike 30 years later. And that started to fall apart. 28 years later, whatever that started to fall apart. So Besson stepped up, propped up the end I believe because I think they were concerned about a replay of 1998. But also it kind of helped them in the second, the administration the second way because it helped help the interest rate market. So if The Japanese sold $1.2 trillion of our US treasuries, had their saw their currency slamming and they had to support it. They had to sell US Treasuries to buy their own currency back. And that would put downward pressure on our pricing of our, of our Treasuries which shoots the interest rate straight up. And if we had a higher interest rate into a falling stock market, you know, all hell could have broken, listen records can, can give you the, the macro economic effect of all that. But that was a, it was, it was turning out. Looked like it was going to be a replay of 1998 again. What did they save it? I don't know. I'm watching the yen continue to fall, but I think there was a lot of relief. Steve, last thought on Wall street that it was just one player who's caught the wrong way sideways on the AI trade rather than a group of players or the whole entire market. So I do believe that the kind of all clear has been blown as far as the stock market side of it is playing out.
Stephen K. Bannon
But let's put a pin on that. The people should remember. I'll go back to Rickardson moment I know you got a bounce is that the whole crisis in 98 started with the Thai baht and people thought what the hell, who cares about the Thai baht? This is totally irrelevant. It's so small. No, these contagions spread and sometimes they take a while, but they have major implications. Also the president used an analogy there that I think we have to take a second to look at. He used Argentina and used Argentina and hey, we made a great deal in Argentina. Remember on the show we were saying why are we jumping in to help Milei before these elections? But they did, you know, Scott was very smart. We did make substantial amount of money on the trade. But I would argue, Bolling, that Argentina is to Japan as Venezuela is to Iran. You're taking one very small, isolated, tiny problem and, and, and thinking that the same construct can work on a massive problem. Your thoughts?
Eric Bolling
You're not gonna like this. Maybe records won't like this either and probably most of the war room audience won't like it. I, I, I don't like any of them, Steve. I don't like bailing any country out. I don't that. Listen, I know markets can be violent, they can be deadly at some time. But I, I believe in free markets. I, I honestly believe in the free market. That includes not having governments intervene in other governments currency and that for me it's a very, very big problem. It doesn't allow, doesn't allow markets to clear. Steve, it's the old, it's the old adage, teach. Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach him how to fish, he'll eat for life. We're bailing these hedge funds and PE funds out. We're even bailing countries out. They're going to continue to leverage lever themselves up to get the big bucks until they can't.
Stephen K. Bannon
If your option, there's no one left
Eric Bolling
to buy and then the bottom falls out. Eric. And they come to us.
Stephen K. Bannon
Eric, Eric, I, I hate, I hate bailouts too. But let me just be practical about this. If you're seeing and we're going back to the financial crisis 8, the Internet crisis of 2000, the financial long term capital management of 98, the Thai Baht right before that. If you didn't intervene in Japan, isn't it the possibility they have to puke up all those Treasuries? Where would we be right now? And by the way, that's what I'm saying. We have $8 trillion a year. We have to refinance. A huge buyer of those securities are the Japanese government. Is it not sir?
Eric Bolling
The largest. Yes.
Stephen K. Bannon
So what. How you gonna. This is my point. We have $2 trillion. And why we have $2 trillion because we're fighting everywhere. Got a massive military budget but the social programs are out of control for the illegal alien invasion that we're still paying for. We haven't, Congress has not had the stones to do it. How do you, if your number one buyer of securities and kind of since the Chinese aren't around anymore because we're kind of at war with them and the continual buyer is going to have to blow out of all their Treasuries to save themselves. What do you do then? When you sit in the situation Room? What do you do? Mr. Milton Friedman.
Eric Bolling
Mr. Milton Friedman, you want to know what you do? You're thinking in the next two years. I'm thinking the health of the US economy me for the next 250 years. What you do is you stop bailing countries out. You stop supporting currencies that aren't ours. Certainly. And you stop, you stop directing rates and prices. I mean the government should never. Trump talked about owning Intel. When in the world do we think. I, I certainly think this is a bad idea. I don't care how much money you make on Intel. If he did or didn't government propping up individual companies is worse than propping up countries. You're picking winners and losers. I just like the free market, Steve. It's gotten us 250 years. The most prosperous powerful country on the planet. I think the only way to get the next 250 the same way get the.
Stephen K. Bannon
I think, I think, I think, I think, I think 2008 bailouts the audience will say it ain't a free market because we socialize the risk. We bailed out the wealthy and had the middle class and working class pay for.
Eric Bolling
We'll have it's becoming less.
Stephen K. Bannon
I got it. I agree with you.
Political/Military Analyst
Bowling.
Stephen K. Bannon
Where do people go? What's your social media? You got to bounce.
Eric Bolling
I gotta bounce. I'm just gonna be here and I'll see on on Rabbit 4 o' clock Eastern as well. Love doing, love doing this with you, Steve. Brilliant man.
Stephen K. Bannon
Let's do, let's, let's do it. Let's do a change a changer because Marcus will be closed by that time. We can report back to the audience. See you Eric. Thank you. Rick is going to stick with me. Tony Lyons also coming up, Bobby Kennedy went thermonuclear on CNN over the weekend. My God, was it beautiful. All next in the war room. Banner. Jim Rickards. From the time that we called the 14 families, the treasury called the 14 families in New York on that long term capital management got them down at the Federal Reserve in New York City and just told him, hey, boys, get the checkbooks out because you're gonna be writing some checks from this. I believe it was Bear Stearns. I think they were the ones that said, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. We're capitalist, free market capitalists, and we ain't bailing anybody out. That's your problem. What is it? Two decades later, when they came for a bailout, they, oh, no, we got long memories here, bro. You're on your own. So about. About. Am I not right on that? Is, hey, in theory, Eric's 1000% right. Is that the world in which we live? Jim Rickards.
Jim Rickards
It's not. I'll give you an example, by the way. In 1998, when bear. They went alphabetically to get the Commitments. And Bear Stearns was like, first or second alphabetically. He said, we're not. We're not in. So the chairman of Merrill lynch, this big guy put his arm around, went out in the hall with Jimmy Cayne, who was the chairman of Bear Stearns, said, jimmy, we got to do this for Wall Street. We're all in this together. And Cain said, when the F did we become partners? And that was never forgotten. Ten years later, Bear Stearns was done. So Wall street has a long memory. But to your point, Steve, the 2008 financial crisis, you mentioned that, that's another one. It started in August 2007. It took 13 months to get to Lehman Brothers. It started with the French Money Market Fund in August of 2007. So I went down to Washington. I met with the Assistant Secretary of the Treasury. This is the Bush administration. And I'd seen this movie before. I knew how it was going to end. So I laid it all out for him. I said, you need to get this information so that when it happens, you'll be prepared. Nice guy. You know what he said? He said, we don't do that. We're a free market. We don't intervene. We don't get involved. I said, no, you're not intervening. You're just getting information so you can do a better job. That was the end of it. So I said. I just sat back and said, okay,
Scientist/Medical Expert
they're on their own.
Jim Rickards
Because I tried, and it all came back. So now the answer is, pardon me. Eric Bowling made this point. The acute stage is preceded by warnings. We're getting the warnings right now. Excuse me. Situational awareness, the end carry trade and other events. We're getting the warnings. What are we going to do, sit back and let this blow up? So I think Besson's on the right track, but basically he's trying to bail out the US treasury market because if Japan selling Treasuries to get dollars to prop up the yen, that's going to raise US Interest rates and we know what happens then.
Stephen K. Bannon
Okay, where do people go right now to get strategic intelligence? I want to make sure they get an opportunity to get access to your thinking every day. And by the way, we got Rickards is nice enough. Jim's nice enough to come on back tomorrow morning where I give an update on where we are. Because folks, this is big league. This is adults only. This could turn into something quite awful. And the reason is we're too highly leveraged. We're too much debt and you can't have 2 trillion dollar deficits. You can't carry. You can't do guns and butter. And right now we've got a whole lot of butter and a whole lot of guns. And the world at the end of the day with all these interventions, the world is kind of an efficient market that we can't continue to pay for this. We have to borrow this money and we have to borrow this money from people that are not in that great shape when you really look at it. Rickerts, where they go for strategic intelligence.
Jim Rickards
Thanks, Steve. We have a landing page. It's rickardsintel.com that's rickardsintel.com for strategic intelligence. It's a flagship newsletter. We don't tell you what happened, we tell you what's going to happen. And we have a very good track record and predictive analytics, I'm glad to say my publisher has agreed to extend our patriotic offer. 1776. 17.76 for a three month subscription. Most readers love it. If you don't like it, it's okay. You get all your money back. Just call us and we'll give you a refund. But almost all of our readers stay with us and we put a lot into it. It's where you can find out what's going to happen next.
Stephen K. Bannon
We'll talk about Hormuz tomorrow too. The Persians and Hormuz and now the Omanis. Maybe we don't want Amman having a voice there. Anyway, we'll hold that for tomorrow. Thank you, Jim Rickards. Appreciate you. This is totally free on online. Go to birchgold.com ban and end of the dollar empire. We've kind of been warning you and you know, prepping you folks for this. Make sure you check it out. Slash Bannon. All free 9th free installments coming as soon as we get the graphics right, it's going to come eight free installments right now, starting from, I don't know, five or six years ago. Read it all. You'll understand. Better make yourself aware what's going on. This is why we cover this so much. We want to make sure you're not caught or it's just not tucked into the business side. There's a. Got all this other crap. They're covered in the news. Oh, to divert your attention. To divert your attention so you actually don't see what's going on and who's getting screwed in the process. I got the great Tony lines. Tony, thank you first for coming on to doing this yesterday. I couldn't have been prouder of Bobby Kennedy. It was just unbelievable. And of course, CNN melted down. But then this morning, our favorite Morning Joe really melted down. Bobby Kennedy. I'm gonna. I got cold opens on this all over. Let's start with one. I'm gonna have you come in and comment. Okay. This is from yesterday, the great Dana Bash, Bobby Kennedy throwdown. Let's hear it.
Interviewer/Host
Just quoting the Wall Street Journal that they. That the president wants you to go further to probe the link between autism and vaccines.
Scientist/Medical Expert
He certainly does.
Interviewer/Host
Okay, now, have you talked to him about medical research that have studied this for 25 years and found no link between autism and vaccination vaccines? And just this is my question here, because I don't want to litigate that. My question is, why not? Because you are HHS secretary now. Why not study what could cause autism, which scientists do believe starts with fetal brain development? Why not do some studies on that? Whether there is an environmental lawyer, whether there are environmental factors that go into contributing to a predisposed genetic situation.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Let me say that first we're doing all those things, and that's one of the ways that we found Tylenol. There's 73 studies out there and linked Tylenol exposure during later pregnancy and during the perinatal period to autism onset. But you are wrong when you say that this issue has been studied. It has been studied. And you're rolling your eyes, Diana, but
Interviewer/Host
I am, because I don't want. I don't want to have you use our air to say this. There have been more than 40 studies involving 5.6 million people to conclude there is no link between vaccines and autism. This is the head of the Committee of Infectious Diseases for the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Let me tell you what the Institute of Medicine says, which is the National Academy of Sciences, which is the ultimate Arbiter on vaccine safety in which it does not have an interest. In this debate, it says that none of the eight vaccines that are administered during the first six months of life have ever been studied for relationship to autism. It found two studies, one on the DTP vaccine show that it does cause autism and one on the hepatitis B vaccine and again suggests that it does cause autism. The Institute of medicine dismissed those two studies because they were based on CDC's database. The studies that you're referring to are all from one vaccine, MMR vaccine, or one ingredient, thimerisol.
Interviewer/Host
So you are using. You are actually looking at. You're starting new studies to try to link autism, but you're also telling me
Scientist/Medical Expert
trying to link autism to anything. I'm trying to find out why is autism caused it.
Interviewer/Host
Are you also trying. Are you also trying to find out how it interacts with people's DNA? What's predisposed to have an autistic child? Are you doing both?
Scientist/Medical Expert
Yeah. But, Dana, you probably don't understand this because you're not a scientist, but Genesis.
Interviewer/Host
Well, you're not either.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Genes don't cause apnea.
Interviewer/Host
I understand Genesis vulnerability. A gene provides environmental. That's what I'm asking. Are you studying the environmental.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Looking at all the different environmental exposures. But your statement. You have been fooled. Your statement that this has been studied is not true. It's categorical. It is considered any of this.
Interviewer/Host
It is considered
Scientist/Medical Expert
who?
Interviewer/Host
By every scientist who has studied this.
Scientist/Medical Expert
That is not true. I can give you hundreds of scientists who have looked at this.
Interviewer/Host
So on the one hand, you are.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Do you understand why people are Academy of Sciences. What greater authority.
Interviewer/Host
Do you understand why people are not getting measles vaccines because they're hearing you say that it could cause change of subject. I'm not. It's very much related.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Show me one of the studies that's been done on the first eight the vaccines during the first six months of life. You will not find them. The National Academy of Sciences.
Interviewer/Host
So if that's the case, why are you taking. Telling people to get the measles vaccine?
Scientist/Medical Expert
Because that is one of the vaccines that has been studied.
Interviewer/Host
Okay.
Scientist/Medical Expert
It's the only one that has been studied.
Interviewer/Host
Do you want people to get the. The MMR vaccine?
Scientist/Medical Expert
Yeah, I said that already. Okay, So I know you're flustered now, and it is.
Interviewer/Host
I. I don't. I'm not flustered at all. I am frustrated. And honestly, the reason I'm frustrated is because I. You are the h. You are the HHS secretary and you are talking about things that. That. That lead to vaccine hesitancy in this country.
Scientist/Medical Expert
And.
Interviewer/Host
And it is something that causes problems for people where there is not anything.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Let me ask you something. Do you see your job as ending vaccine hesitancy or do you see your job as telling the truth?
Interviewer/Host
I see my job as telling the truth. And the truth is that there is. Is study after study after study. It's one of the most studied things out there in science.
Scientist/Medical Expert
You're repeating it like a parrot. You're repeating it like a parrot. I've actually read the science.
Narrator/Reporter
Let's.
Scientist/Medical Expert
You don't want to. You don't want to hear and debate this.
Interviewer/Host
I'm not debating this view.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Of course you.
Interviewer/Host
No, because I'm not sure how to
Scientist/Medical Expert
do is repeat things that people told you and say trust the experts. That's what you did during COVID Now, we know that Anthony Fauci, who was the expert, was lying about everything. About masks, about social distancing, about natural immunity, about the transmission from the vaccine, about the source of COVID He was lying and you were punishing people for not trusting the experts. And now you're rolling out the experts again to talk about something that you have no personal knowledge of.
Interviewer/Host
Okay, well, guess what? That is my job to talk to people.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Your job is. Am I allowed to talk to the American public?
Interviewer/Host
Yes. And my job is to get as much information as I can.
Scientist/Medical Expert
And what we were doing.
Interviewer/Host
What we were doing. Skepticism, what we were doing in Covid and still with regard to these vaccines is getting the best information, the best science that we can, and putting it out there. And sir, what you are doing is causing information to be out there that is not accurate.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Who is lying to you?
Interviewer/Host
The National Academy of Sciences, which you just cited in November, said, we support the statement that vaccines do not cause autism. This is the National Academy of Sciences that you just talked about.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Look at the National Academy of Science most recent report. Okay.
Stephen K. Bannon
Boy, could.
Donald Trump
Could.
Stephen K. Bannon
Could Bobby Kennedy give Mark Wayne Mullins some media training? Oh, that's right. Bobby Kennedy actually believes this. Mark Wayne Mullins is an open borders embassy guy. Tony Lyons, we got about 90 seconds. Just give me a summary. It was so beautiful to watch. Walk me through it.
Tony Lyons
Yeah. So what we've got is that for a generation now, we've had every network, every TV show, every newspaper, every website, be totally corrupt, reading pharma, talking points to millions of Americans, mostly Democrats, watching CNN and using words like anti vaxxer, conspiracy theorist, all of those kinds of things. And those are just pharmaceutical company talking points. We know that when Bobby Kennedy's book came out on November 16, 2021, the real Anthony Fauci was the most censored book in America because this is a cultural war. Genes don't cause epidemics. Vaccines are connected to autism. Vaccines do cause autism. That is a fact. 50% of the parents of autistic kids say it happened right after their kids were vaccinated. This is an important subject that needs to be researched and researched and researched. And what's happening is that these people like Dana Bash continue to lie to the American public and they take somebody like Dr. Fauci and they still hold him up on a pedestal even though he spent 50 years making the health of the American public worse and working for big pharma and big criminal organizations.
Stephen K. Bannon
Tony, hang on for one second. Take a short commercial break. Do you owe back taxes or you haven't filed your taxes in years? Now is the time to resolve your tax matters. Take advantage of first mover advantage.
Tony Lyons
You move.
Stephen K. Bannon
Here's your host, Stephen K. Banner. Okay, let me keep this simple. We had a $40 billion hedge fund evaporated on Thursday because one of the reasons it had 400% leverage. We are now intervening in a joint effort with the Japanese to save them from selling massively selling US Treasuries to fund their problems with their own currency and their economy. Part of that driven by increased oil prices. We now know Wall street, everybody's warning that they finally woken up to the fact that the $2 trillion particularly we have a CR. See it's all inextricably linked. This is what we do here in the war room. Show you the pieces and how they fit together because the CR goes back to Biden and Pelosi spending. We're just kicking the can down the road because people on Capitol Hill don't have the guts to stand up and say hey we got to start to fix this. So 2 trillion dollar deficits, it's not sustainable. It's all on the US dollar and people needing US dollars as the prime reserve currency. Find out why you need a hedge particularly as you're getting closer to retirement. Right. Birchgold.com Bannon end of the dollar empire. It's all right there. Eight free installments. Nine coming back for your own self preservation. Read it, study it. Also hometitle lock.com Steve 90% of your net worth is tied up in that home folks. 90 80% to 9% if you're lucky enough to own one. And the younger generation don't own them but you do. You got to protect that title. Make sure nobody can get to it. It's hermetically sealed. You get a 14 day free trial of the 1 million dollar triple lock protection. Talk to Natalie Dominguez team. They'll tell you all about it. All about it. You see Dana Bash It's a hometitle lock. Com Go check it out today. Do this self preservation because we're going to go through some turbulence here folks. Already got turbulence now as these two kinetic conflicts in the Middle east seem to be merging and we can't let that happen. Tony Lyons you just saw there. Dana Bash knows she can be turfed out by CNN management for one reason. If you don't protect the money they are underwritten by big pharma. They will sit there and lie and obfuscate and spin but baby particularly this what I love. And Mark Wayne Mullen take a lesson here from Bobby Kennedy. Bobby Kennedy hit her right theoretically in the chops. Metaphorically in the chops. Right at the beginning when he said Tylenol and they freak. Nothing freaks them out more than the Tylenol oh my God, not Tylenol. These guys are a huge sponsor. You can't say that. He had her on her back feet right at the beginning. But then you ended by saying Big Ag, the big food industry, big Pharma. They're criminal organizations. What do you mean by that, sir? It's a pretty big throwdown.
Tony Lyons
Yeah, they're criminal organizations because they are taking steps that poison the American public. And they're bribing and they're blackmailing and they're threatening. They control the media, they lie, they censor, they de platform, they brainwash people. So we've got somebody like Bobby Kennedy, who was a folk hero for 19 years, being vilified by all of these organizations that are paid for by big pharma. So he then writes the real Anthony Fowler. She works 16 hours a day, seven days a week, and big and this is a book that has 2,194 citations and a blurb by a Nobel prize winning scientist. So this is the real thing. And big pharma just goes after him and they unleash the media on him and they unleash their lapdog Anthony Fauci on him. And he says, and he tells the American public, Bobby Kennedy's dangerous. So here you have somebody who's doing everything wrong, making every wrong decision, harming children by the millions. And then Dana Bash gets on and says that Bobby Kennedy's comments, Bobby Kennedy's views caused 200,000 deaths. And we know that that isn't true. We're 4% of the world's population and we had 16% of the deaths. We could not have done worse. And we did worse because our goal wasn't to protect American children and American families and the American people. Our goal was to maximize profits for these companies. And that's why we had to censor Bobby Kennedy Deplatform Bobby Kennedy deplatform his book. Keep it out of stores, libraries, keep it off bestseller list. I mean, Dr. Fauci's book on Call, A Doctor's Journey in Public Service, it was a number one New York Times bestseller. It sold something like 1/10 what Bobby Kennedy's book sold. And it was a number seven New York Times bestseller. So in every single way they keep the truth from the American public and they try to control what we do, what we think, what we put into our bodies and what we read. And this kind of blind faith, this is fascism. This is the ultimate fascism. And what Bobby Kennedy's doing now in Washington is an absolute revolution in health care. He's encouraging dissent. He's changing what millions of Americans eat every day by telling them the truth about meat, about eggs, about whole milk, about the food pyramid, about ultra processed food. So Dr. Fauci presided over health care where we got to a point where 70% of our food is ultra processed food. So think about that for a second. You know, we are eating the least healthy food of any of the 30 industrialized countries and then we wonder why we're sick. And it's because these criminal organizations have taken over the country and President Trump brought in Bobby Kennedy to end that real quickly.
Stephen K. Bannon
I'm going to hold you through the break. I got some more clips to go through. The audience is going to want to see and also your interpretation of them. The polar, the pollsters and the political class around President Trump try to get, put the brakes on after the great Roosevelt Room where President Trump is taking the lead from Bobby Kennedy. He's not providing air cover, he's like taking the lead. They said, you can't do this, you can't do this, you can't, don't speak about any of this. You can't talk about vaccines. Maha's not that important. They're going to turn out anyway, which is wrong. Bobby Kennedy, now the president's sitting there going, bobby, where's like the autism report? Where's the vaccine? Let's get on top of this, right? We're going to do it. Do you see a sea change with President Trump now backing Bobby Kennedy's play on this?
Tony Lyons
Yeah, I mean, people are starting to recognize, people who have a lot of power are starting to recognize that half of the country is on board. They're tired of being lied to, they're tired of being poisoned and they want a government that's going to protect their children.
Scientist/Medical Expert
Amen.
Stephen K. Bannon
Amen. Tony, stick around, will you? Just, just hang on. You're going to get some more clips to play for Morning Joe. And from the Dana Bash, was it throwdown? Bobby Kennedy was so amazing. This episode of Bannon’s War Room dives into two intertwined themes:
Bannon and his guests (including Jim Rickards, Eric Bolling, and Tony Lyons) break down international financial contagion risks, the artificiality of global capital markets, and what they describe as the media’s meltdown over Kennedy’s growing influence in the health freedom and vaccine safety debate.
“We were all set to go just about at this time right now, and it would have been a massive attack. ...when the allies ask to call it off, you got to sort of say, well, let's see.” — Donald Trump [00:57]
“This war is not in his control... These two conflicts to some degree are merging and they're expanding. And this is extraordinarily dangerous.” — Political/Military Analyst [01:50]
“Japan's been very good to us, with the exception, of course, of Pearl Harbor.” — Donald Trump [03:51]
“Financial. Better. ...But we make. Like when we did with Argentina, I got criticized. We made $25 billion on that deal. ...it was really more than anything else, it was a signal of friendship.” — Donald Trump [04:12]
“We've warned...that over leverage and massive deficits and having to finance these will lead to the world's largest margin call. And when that happens, everybody's going to have hell to pay.” — Stephen K. Bannon [07:31]
“Global leverage is based on what I just described...trillions.” [12:55]
“We're doing it to save the treasury market. ...to make sure that we have the ability to stay as the prime reserve currency.” — Bannon [15:49]
“We were hours away, hours away from shutting every market in the world.” — Jim Rickards [18:45]
“A 24 year old German kid...had amassed $45 billion in a PE fund...they were getting slaughtered...it was almost a long term capital lookalike 30 years later.” [21:01]
“I don't like bailing any country out. ...We're bailing these hedge funds and PE funds out. ...They're going to continue to lever themselves up to get the big bucks until they can't.” — Eric Bolling [24:36]
“Stop bailing countries out. ...certainly stop supporting currencies that aren't ours. ...this is a bad idea. ...We're picking winners and losers. ...I just like the free market, Steve.” [26:36]
“In theory, Eric's 1000% right. Is that the world in which we live?...The acute stage is preceded by warnings. We're getting the warnings right now.” [30:31]
Vaccine-Autism Debate Goes Mainstream
“You're repeating it like a parrot. I've actually read the science.” — Scientist/Medical Expert [40:15]
“Your statement that this has been studied is not true. It's categorical.” — Scientist/Medical Expert [38:23]
“Do you see your job as ending vaccine hesitancy or...telling the truth?” — Scientist/Medical Expert [39:55]
“You are talking about things that lead to vaccine hesitancy in this country. ...What you are doing is causing information to be out there that is not accurate.” [39:31, 41:12]
Tony Lyons on Media/Pharma Collusion
“We've had every network, every TV show, every newspaper...be totally corrupt, reading pharma talking points...Vaccines do cause autism. That is a fact.” — Tony Lyons [42:11]
“He’s not providing air cover, he's...taking the lead. ...Now the president's sitting there going, Bobby, where's like the autism report? ...Let's get on top of this.” — Bannon [51:46]
“People...are starting to recognize...they are tired of being lied to, they're tired of being poisoned and they want a government that's going to protect their children.” [52:28]
This episode provides an in-depth, often urgent, look at overlapping financial and political crises: a rapidly escalating Middle East war with global market fallout, systemic vulnerabilities highlighted by a new yen bailout and hedge fund collapse, and the intensifying battle over medical freedom catalyzed by RFK Jr.'s media appearances. Bannon and guests warn listeners about the risks of endless intervention, ballooning leverage, and what they characterize as a media establishment desperate to maintain narrative control — particularly as political heavyweights like Trump align with RFK Jr. on contentious issues. The tone is equal parts combative, conspiratorial, and prescriptive, urging “the War Room posse” to remain vigilant and self-reliant amid systemic turbulence.

This summary covers the critical policy debates and confrontational rhetoric, providing the main arguments, who voiced them, and the impact Bannon’s team believes these events could have on US politics, markets, and society.
