WarRoom Battleground EP 739: Pressure From The Trump Admin To Clean Up Mexico; Corruption Of Boasberg...

Ben Berkhwam
I've been to some crazy places before, but this has to be up there as one of the craziest. This is a cemetery. These are all mausoleums dedicated to cartel bosses in Cuyacan, Sinaloa. These aren't houses. These are mausoleums. Tombs. Like the tombs of Egypt for the pharaohs. Except these hold the narco kingpins and each one built larger to one up their competitors. It truly is unbelievable the amount of money that the cartel makes. They have so much money, they don't even know what to do with it. To the point where they build millions dollar mansions to be buried in monuments to some of the most evil people that have ever walked the earth. Here in Sinaloa, Mexico, all propped up by a government that's as corrupt as they.
Stephen K. Bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime. Pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on these people. Christians, I got a free shot. All these networks lying about the people. The people have had a belly full of it. I know you don't like hearing that. I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that. But you're not going to stop it. It's going to happen.
Julie Kelly
And where do people like that go to share the big lie? MAGA Media I wish in my soul.
Stephen K. Bannon
I wish that any of these people had a conscience. Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose? If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
Oscar Blue Ramirez
War room.
Stephen K. Bannon
Here's your host, Stephen K. Bannon. Okay. Brought to you by Birchgold. Make sure you go to birchgold.com Bannon ended the dollar empire. Find out about macroeconomics. Also, take out your phone. Ben and 989-898, get the ultimate guide for investing in gold. Why? As you heard from Cortez and others, we're going to play some navarre here in the second hour. Things are going to get a little choppy. Times of turbulence. Gold's been a hedge, by the way. I want to play that gold. Clip the guy. One of the smartest guys on Bloomberg. He said it. Philip Patrick's never even said it. In the last 25 years, gold has outperformed the S&P 500. And that's not how it's supposed to be, folks. Gold is a store of value in a hedge. It's not supposed to outperform the S&P 500. I'll talk more about that tomorrow, but in fact, we'll play that later in the show. Go today to check it out. The great Julie Kelly is with me. So honored to have you in the war room. Julie, you've been over at federal court. We're going to get to that in a moment. Julie Kelly is shocked by what's going on in a federal court, and she knows it better than anybody. Julie Kelly was also with us today as kind of a team over at the Justice Department. And Tim Miller, our favorite Tim Miller from the Bulwark on msnbc. They had a meltdown. We're gonna get to all that, but we gotta go to Juarez, one of my favorite towns. We got Ben Berkram and Oscar Blue Ramirez. Sicario was filmed there. I think it's one of the greatest films ever made. We built the wall right there. And the reason we built it, Oscar and Ben Berkram, you guys know, because you were with us, is that that going up that mountain from the Rio Grande river up that one mile mountain, was one of the most dangerous stretches on the American border. That's where the cartels trafficked those young women and girls. And when you would go up that hill, on that plateau where we built a wall to jam into the mountain, it would make you sick to see what was left behind and know the human tragedy that was caused. While you guys, you're chasing the cartel, getting ready for the kinetic part of this war. What brings you to Juarez, which used to be a great little border town and now, as anybody who's seen the movie Sicario knows, is filled with bad hombres. Ben Berkhwam, Oscar Blue Ramirez, guys.
Ben Berkhwam
Yeah, Steve, it's to show you the truth, actually, we just came from the wall that we the people built. We build the wall. It was such an honor to be there with you. We were on the Mexico side. A little more dangerous on the Mexico side than on the US Side, for obvious reasons. But it was quiet. It's quiet now in that area because President Trump's in office. And that's what we're down here doing is showing the Trump impact, but also showing the reality of the evil that is the cartel. You just saw that video of the cartel cemeteries, which were just shocking. I mean, seriously, Steve, driving through there was incredible. But the other side to that is just how evil they are. Right down the road from that location leading up to where the cartel's headquarters were, the Chapito's headquarters were, was this massive monument to the devil, you know, this, this Santa Muerte. And everywhere you go where the cartel's in operation, you've got these Santa Muerte shrines. They're praying to the devil. That's how evil these guys are?
Stephen K. Bannon
Slow down, Slow down for just a dumb mick. What do you mean? They got things for the. Explain that, Oscar. Ben, they have monuments to the devil, to Satan. Is that. Is that like a symbol for these cartels?
Ben Berkhwam
Yeah, yeah. So it's called Santa Muerte. It's the saint of death. But that's who they pray to. So these guys will go out before they go and kill somebody or before they go and do their operations, they will go and pray. And it's directly praying to the devil. I mean, when you're going to go dismember somebody, who else would you be praying to? They are everywhere. There's one just right down the road from where we're at in Anapara. Everywhere you go, where the cartel's in operations, these shrines are getting built. And I'm seeing more and more and more of them on the Mexico side. But now you're starting to see them on the US Side as well, Oscar.
Oscar Blue Ramirez
Well, the Santa Marte has been a, you know, a statue, you know, some figure for the cartel to do their offerings and for them to ask her or to ask this satanic figure for a favor. And, you know, the cartels have put massive statues in the part of Culacan where there's this massive war between these two cartels. Also in the parts of Tijuana in the mountains, you know, right here in Juarez, you will see these statues of, you know, these satanic, you know, rituals and satanic offerings that the cartel massively does to this, to this statue. And it is just disgusting to see in a part of Culacan. You see children walking through these particular places and seeing these statues. And everybody's normalized to see this. And it is because the government has not done anything about it.
Stephen K. Bannon
Is there any. Is there any preparation? Do you get a sense the Mexican military or is anybody preparing? I know it's quiet because we've stopped the inflow of the invasion. And the New York Times was reporting because of Trump's tariffs. Write that down. Tariffs. The fentanyl has dropped 50%. But President Trump in this regard, saying, hey, you know, it's the labs. Is the cartels the partners for the Chinese Communist Party? You know, I don't care if it's dropped by 50% because of tariffs. I want to eradicate it once and for all. Is there any sense that either a paramilitary or a military operation or something is in the works? Not next week, but potentially over the next couple of months, guys.
Ben Berkhwam
Well, let me just show you what's going on here. Just to give you an update. We're in waters. This is the first time I've ever seen this. Oscar's reported on this down in Tijuana. But we actually have roadblocks, checkpoints going into. This is the port of entry going over to El Paso. Right behind us is a checkpoint being done by the National Guard. This is the first time I've ever seen this. This was never done under Joe Biden. They're actually checking vehicles before they even enter to go across the bridge. Now, again, whether this is, you know, for show, some of that we've seen in the past, how much of this has a direct impact on stopping the fentanyl. But this is one of those ports. You've got Laredo as well. You've got Tijuana, where huge amounts of fentanyl are going across. And the Mexican government at least, is showing this. And this goes directly back to the threat of tariffs. But going back to Culiacan, they've actually. The Mexican military has been down there. It's a mixed bag. So you've got two things happening. There's a reorganization of cartels happening right now. You've got the president of Mexico going after some of these cartels, but then protecting some of the other cartels. It's what we've seen in the past, back in the 80s, when you had Carlos Quintero being protected by the Mexican government, basically taking out his rivals. So you have some of that going on as we speak. But there's no doubt about it, there is a bigger presence, military presence, law enforcement, presidents going after the cartels. There's a war now between the cartels and cartels and the cartels and the Mexican government. And the question is, how kinetic does it get? And I have a sense, Steve, that it's going to get more kinetic rather than less kinetic very soon.
Oscar Blue Ramirez
Well, yes, they deployed more than 10,000 National Guardsmen, Steve, and one of the. One of the cities that they wanted to deploy is to Juarez. That right now is number two as the most dangerous cities in the world for violence and kidnappings and abductions. So this is what you see. You see a checkpoint. That's exactly what it was in Tijuana. And to go to the back to the topic of laboratories, just recently, the Mexican government seized the biggest laboratory and possibly in history in the whole world with more than 700 million doses of methamphetamine. And Zacatecas with more than 40 acres of property. Specifically, the Mexican government is attacking two cartels, the CGNG and also the Chapitos cartel. Those are the only two cartels that they're going after. But the speculation is strong that the Mexican government is protecting El Mayo Zambada, which is the campaign and drug lord that is under protection right now or in custody in the United States of America, and that he knows a lot of information of who politically funded the campaign of the past President Amlo and also a lot of Congress and a lot of senators that they are in office in the Mexican government.
Stephen K. Bannon
Steve, Oscar, hang on for you guys. Hang on right there. I want to bring Julie Kelly in. I'm going to get to the hearing today. But in this, these tactical decisions that have to be made, this is a war on our southern border. They've lied to us for years because in the first 60 days, Trump has essentially closed the border. Nobody's coming across. These two guys have put their lives at risk for years covering this. That part of it's quiet now. They're looking at military. Can a judge, can any judge insert themselves into an individual who has. Commander in chief is going to be directing forces about what happened. This is what's so insane. You see how chaotic this is. You see how dangerous this is. You see how it deals with relationships with another country, economics, another military, our own people. What type of ego has a judge to think that they can insert them things? And what is a live fire drill, ma'am?
Julie Kelly
Well, I think that that's the trajectory that these judges are on right now, and they're getting away with it because, of course, for the most, the Supreme Court won't step in the appellate court, especially here in D.C. in a few cases, has. But. And we'll talk about Judge Bossberg today.
Stephen K. Bannon
You just came from the hearing, so we're going to hold that for a second. But you just came for the hearing, correct?
Julie Kelly
Correct.
Stephen K. Bannon
And you've kind of seen it all in that courtroom. But you were a little even shocked by what you saw today.
Julie Kelly
Right? Because these judges are pushing the boundaries of their authority and intruding on The President's Article 2, as Mike Davis loves to say. I mean, that's what it is, Article 2 authority encroaching on that authority and really not testing the limits, but violating those limits. And now you have judges who. And this is what we'll talk about with Bossberg. The real criminals are not the illegals who are crossing the border, who are suspected members of terror organizations like tda. The real criminals, according to Judge Bossberg, are in the Trump administration for daring to defy one of his Court orders about turning planes around.
Stephen K. Bannon
We got blockbuster news we're going to get to in a second. Oscar and Ben, have you seen, on either the US Side or even the Mexico side, are people down there complaining about what President Trump has done to try to bring in the chaos on the border and try to bring some order to it? Have you heard, have you gotten a lot of negative feedback about what's going on?
Ben Berkhwam
00, Steve, in fact, you go to a place like Kuyokan that it was tragic. You know, this is my first time being in that city, but that's a city that's living with Stockholm syndrome. They are shell shocked. They have been controlled by the cartels for so long, they live with that fear. In fact, we were driving down the road where a kidnapping had happened just moments before. We drove past and nobody's out in the streets, nobody's saying anything, nobody's reporting it. They are silent because they are so afraid. They are terrorized by these organizations and if anything, they are thanking God that President Trump is in there and that the Mexican military and the Mexican government is actually doing something to stop these terror organizations, because that's what they are. If you live in Mexico and you live in a cartel area, you understand very clearly, very directly, many of your family members have been killed or kidnapped. These are terror organizations. You don't have to tell the people of Mexico that they live it. Zero to answer your question, Steve, zero. And back to Julie Kelly's point, the real terrorists, the real people behind this are just like that. The judges and these NGOs and these leftist organizations that are attacking President Trump, that are attacking America, that are attacking our sovereignty and putting our own people in danger, those people. And until that, until those people are held accountable, until these judges and these politicians that are inviting this invasion, that are inviting the destruction of our own country are held accountable, we're not going to see much change. And the same goes down here for Mexico.
Oscar Blue Ramirez
Completely the contrast, Steve. And more, more than that, what President Trump has done has created a sense of fate for the political party and the right wing political party of pin in Mexico. They have completely gone against the opposition and the left and they have completely awoken the conservative party to have the legitimate, legitimate statements to say, you are corrupt, you are a narco government. Since the just recent founding of the extermination camp, since exposing the government of Mexico and why the Mexican president doesn't want to label the cartels as terrorists from stopping the massive trafficking of fentanyl. And until now, they are finding and destroying and dismantling, dismantling laboratories. What took them so long is the question. And the question is because of the threat of a tariff and the pressure that President Trump continuously. It is putting on the Mexican government. And not only that, the right wing political party of Mexico, the awakening of the right wing political party of Mexico, the Mexican people getting sick and tired of this. It is what's pushing her to be exposed more and to basically know what is actually happening in the country of Mexico.
Stephen K. Bannon
Unbelievable. One man who basically represents and represents working class people. Like I said, not in the room, not in the deal. He's put the American citizens. But think of what he's done for the little guy in Mexico who's been completely abused by the government. It's just shocking. One last thing for a Oscar. A year ago, we had this huge debate in the Senate with Lankford and all these guys, this huge, massive bill, 2,000 pages long, hundreds of billions of dollars had to happen, give amnesty to everybody, because the border could not be secured. The border could not be shut down unless this went on. And they harangued President Trump. We stopped it with President Trump, made sure it didn't go forward. We were harangued. President Trump has arranged he'd given up border security. How many days, sir, after he was inaugurated, in your professional opinion, and you've spent more time there than any one individual, how many days was it before President Trump was able to essentially secure the border?
Oscar Blue Ramirez
It was not even days. It was just a minute after he was inaugurated. The CBP1 app was canceled and everybody was returned back. And it was a shocker for everybody because everybody was waiting for their appointment at 12 o'clock to enter the United States of America. There was hundreds of people waiting. And I was there with you, Steve. And it was 12:01 in the evening, and I posted that Image that the CBP1 app was canceled and that this was going to be eradicated and eliminated. 98% of the flow in the Darien Gap has slowed down. Authorities in Central America have said that the flow has slowed down. There's no caravan. Steve, with you in the war room. I broadcast 12 caravans. And until now, there's no caravans coming into the north. This is the Trump effect. And it was immediate. It was not even days. It was a minute after he got inaugurated as being president.
Stephen K. Bannon
That amazing picture in the New York Times, just a beautiful sweep of the border wall. I think it was actually from where is that mountain? And there was no people crossing. There was no Caravans. And I said. And they actually had. The New York Times said the border, the border is basically secure under President Trump in day 60, 65. And I said all quiet on the southern front. Trump did it by action. It's just absolutely stunning. Guys, you need to be careful. You're in dangerous territory now. It used to be a great little border town. Now it's quite a dangerous place. I don't want to tell people where you're going to go. I know you're down there on this journey to check out what's happening with the cartels. How can people follow you? Oscar and Ben, where do they go?
Oscar Blue Ramirez
Oscar Blue, Ramirez all around, sir. You know, in real America's Voice news. And thank you again for the invitation, sir.
Julie Kelly
Yeah.
Ben Berkhwam
AmericasVoice News on all social media ealamvoice and then my social medianberg we're posting those videos. I have a ton more that we're going to be releasing. And then obviously our next episodes of Law and Border will be coming out. Season five is happening now. The restoration of America under President Trump.
Stephen K. Bannon
Have we been doing this long? I remember we launched season one, season five. By the way, you guys changed the arc of history. You and the real America Voice investigative team remember all those years down in daring gap. Anyway, Godspeed and be safe until we talk to you guys again. Do we have a clip on the on the judge that we play for us? Bossberg, let's play that. And then we're going to bring in Julie. Julie Kelly just left federal court. I've been all day with Julie over the Justice Department. Then she slipped out to do her day job which is to report on the from these courts. I don't know how she does it. God bless her. Let's play the clip and we'll bring Julie in.
Tim Miller
Welcome back. A high stakes hearing just wrapped up where the Trump administration made its case as to why they didn't violate Judge Boasberg's order on deportation flights. It's the first step in Boseberg potentially holding officials in contempt or ordering sanctions. Kaitlin Poland joins us now. Caitlin, what do we learn in this hearing? We, Casey, the importance of this hearing is whether this administration is willing just to ignore a court's order. And what today was about is the judge hearing from a Justice Department attorney to try and nail down did they. Did they do that? And this hearing, it lasted about 40 minutes. It was primarily questioning of the judge, asking questions of the Justice Department lawyer, Drew Ensign. And I was holding my breath listening to this. It was so tense. We Also heard from reporters and producers over at the courthouse who were there. It was so intense watching Boasberg draw out the questions here, asking who was giving the order for planes to not turn around that had migrants that were being carried to an El Salvadoran prison at the moment that those flights were in the air March 15th. On that Saturday, Judge Boasberg was holding a hearing in court and saying you need to turn the planes around. So he's trying to establish whether there was an intention there. He didn't make a decision during this hearing, but he kept asking who was on the call from the administration, who was listening to the court's orders, who was talking to the Justice Department attorney. Who did the Justice Department attorney tell about the this order from the judge? Just getting those names of people in the administration. The judge ultimately said there's a fair likelihood that this administration violated his orders. And so now we see what happens next with him and also what happens with this case. Bigger issues of presidential power.
Stephen K. Bannon
If you notice the people that are contributors here that come in year in and year out, they have a urgency, a tenacity and expertise. They love what they do. You see Ben and Oscar and Mike Davis or dozens and dozens or more. Julie Kelly, what I'm so impressed. What I just heard, Julie Kelly told me the day of that hearing. He said, you watch, he's going to eventually have a hearing and he's going to go nuts going through a timeline to know specifically because what he's looking for is the word is the phrase president of the United States. He's out for a guy who went to a federal prison on a contempt charge. I can see where this brother's going. And you nailed it at first. When that first Saturday you said he's going to return back here and he's going to have the government and he's going to go through a timeline and what he's trying to do is trying to get to the senior most guy and what he's looking for is President Trump. And you called it. Am I wrong in laying it out like that?
Julie Kelly
No, you're exactly right. And I hate to brag, but that was exactly what not only we knew from the first hearing on March 15 when he issued two temporary restraining orders in writing. So let's talk about. I don't know if we have time.
Stephen K. Bannon
You got plenty of time. We're getting now to the end of the show.
Julie Kelly
What Jeb Busberg, we cleared the decks for you. Oh, thank you. What Jeb Bosberg did, I suspect and this was confirmed Today in the hearing. He set the hearing on March 15th.
Stephen K. Bannon
That was a Saturday.
Julie Kelly
It was a Saturday. 4 or 5 o'clock, I was downtown Chicago ready to do the St. Patrick's Day festivities, which normally Julie's not.
Stephen K. Bannon
By 4 or 5 o'clock, Julie's not camera ready.
Julie Kelly
Okay, that's not true. At 9 o'clock in the morning, I'm not camera ready. Okay. I don't wake up beautiful like Mike Davis. So I have to. So at any rate, here's the timeline. The ACLU files this lawsuit at 1:15 on the morning of March 15th. They are aware. A.m. a.m. They are aware. The night before March 14th, the president signed the Aliens Enemy Alien Enemies Act Proclamation.
Stephen K. Bannon
Yes.
Julie Kelly
That covered all legal Venezuelans, which sets.
Stephen K. Bannon
It all in motion.
Julie Kelly
Exactly. However, the proclamation is not active until it's posted on the website. Here's the timeline. ACLU apparently knows that the President has signed this proclamation.
Stephen K. Bannon
1:15, they get tipped off.
Julie Kelly
1:15, they filed a lawsuit. 7:30am, this lands on Jeb Bossberg's desk. This lengthy lawsuit seeking a temporary.
Stephen K. Bannon
This is a Saturday morning for a judge. You think he's playing golf or he's going to go and play tennis.
Julie Kelly
He said in the hearing later that day that he was out of town. So he apologized for his casual dress. He didn't even have a robe to put on for this zoom hearing. So 7:30, it lands on his desk. Now, it's only related to five plaintiffs who are covered by the Alien Enemies act proclamation that has been signed the night before but not posted. So they kind of twisted themselves in a little bit of a knot. Right. The plaintiff and the judge. At 9:40, Judge Bosberg enters a minute order, a temporary restraining order prohibiting the removal of the five unnamed plaintiffs. Now in the lawsuit, they already. They also asked to turn those five plaintiffs into a class action lawsuit.
Stephen K. Bannon
Remember that?
Julie Kelly
This would cover everyone. So Jeb Bosberg sets a.
Stephen K. Bannon
So the aclu, just to make sure they understand, is trying to take this entire criminal class of some of the baddest hombres ever.
Julie Kelly
Yes.
Stephen K. Bannon
Terrorist criminals that have raped, tortured, etc, and he is commander in chief in instituting putting out a proclamation to basically set in motion the Alien enemies Act of 1798. They want to come in immediately and protect, not just everybody, all of them. All of them.
Julie Kelly
Now these are members of Tren de Aragua, which has been designated a foreign terror organization by Secretary of State Marco Rubio. This is the basis of the proclamation. And the President said that because they are tied to the Maduro regime and they are a multinational criminal operation that they can be removed immediately.
Stephen K. Bannon
And he's doing this in his role. He's doing this as a role because the alien. Alien Enemies act, an invasion. He cites that. And he's doing this in his role as commander in chief.
Julie Kelly
Correct. And overseeing immigration policy, diplomacy, national security. These are all the arguments that the Trump administration has made in fighting Jeb Bosberg's ban on removing these. I hear music. Do we have time to.
Stephen K. Bannon
We got about a minute.
Julie Kelly
So Jeb Osberg leaps into action. 9:40. He says these five individuals cannot be removed. Then he said a 4:00 hearing in the afternoon of March 15th, but then he moved it to 5:00. And this is why this is important. The proclamation was not posted until 3:53pm on March 15, therefore making it active. But the judge had already entered the temporary restraining order for the five under the Alien Enemies Act. But why did he move it from 4 to 5? Because Bossberg knew and the ACL knew, ACLU knew that two planes were going to be taking off at around 5:30 in the afternoon. Wow. He helped. It appears he helped set up this contempt trap with the aclu, who had already indicated they knew these planes were taking off. Hang on and we'll get more to the timeline.
Stephen K. Bannon
We're gonna give a. We're gonna. This is a. This is like one of those podcasts, like a dramatic hold. This is. Yes, folks, I'm telling you, this is the pressure on Trump. Think of the tariffs, everything on everything he does. They put the biggest team to stop him in the snarkiest tricks to try to entrap him. They want Trump in a contempt charge. They want Trump and Dan Barry on contempt. I'm telling you, they're coming hard for him on every different aspect. Short break. The Julie Kelly's in the war room. Next. Like, get these bad guys out of here. What are you talking about? Due process? This is an invasion. This is a military operation. They're losing that narrative. So now they have to pivot to prove that, oh, Trump is defying the courts. Right. And Trump is. This is the autocratic breakthrough. Rachel Maddow. Every night is focused on this case. So walk through how they laid a trap for the Trump White House, ma'am.
Julie Kelly
So again, this is all unfolding on Saturday, March 15th. So now we're at the timeline. 11:00 in the morning or so Judge Bossberg has already, without any briefing from the government, from the doj, just unilaterally enters the temporary restraining order for the five unidentified anonymous Venezuelan illegals who are set to be deported under the alien enemies act that has not yet been posted. He set a 4 o'clock hearing for that day. The DOJ is scrambling. Obviously it's a Saturday. The ACLU is somehow already aware that planes are taking off around five tipped.
Stephen K. Bannon
From the administrative and deep state.
Julie Kelly
So what the DOJ admitted today and they have in filings is that before the Alien Enemies act proclamation was published posted, they were already collecting these men under the proclamation, putting them on planes set to be deported to El Salvador, Honduras. So the hearing is set for 4:00. Bossberg changes the hearing till 5:00 because aware that two planes are taking off around 5:30, the hearing begins now. This hearing relates to turning the five unidentified Venezuelan illegal gang bangers into this class action. Again, a huge decision by a judge without any briefing by the DOJ whatsoever. He originally set a hearing for Monday the 17th, then quickly set it for the 15th. The DOJ doesn't even have time to.
Stephen K. Bannon
Because he doesn't want the government to be prepared. He knows the ACLU always has a big team working on this.
Julie Kelly
Here's the catch. The hearing starts at 5:00. The DOJ attorney, Drew Ensign is there. He questions Drew Ensign Ensign and says, do you know if any of these planes are set to be departed carrying any of these individuals covered? Bossberg recesses the hearing at 5:22, directs the DOJ Drew Ensign, go make some calls and find out about these planes. 5:22, about four or five minutes before the first plane is set to depart southern Texas. You're telling me this is a coincidence of the time. He reconvenes the hearing at 6pm he grills Drew Ensign. Now two planes have taken off during this recess, during this break in the hearing, Drew Ensign comes back and apparently says I can't get any confirmation about these planes. Planes obviously again it's a Saturday night. Who's he going to call? Pilots in Texas? Who's he going to contact on a Saturday night? So he says he can't find out the information at about 6:48 in a verbal, what he calls an oral ruling. And this is in highly in dispute between the Department of Justice and the judge and the ACLU is that oral rulings aren't controlling because they're just that they're oral. They're, they're verbal and he might call it a verbal ruling, he said. So he turns it immediately into a class and then says anyone who's covered in this class, if they're on these planes, the planes need to be turned around and returned to the United States now, at this point, they're out of United States airspace. Correct. So he knows exactly what he is setting up. So he has trapped the DOJ attorney who is there. He appears to have set this break to coincide with the departure of these two planes so he can lure the DOJ and the White House and the Trump administration into a contempt trap on a verbal order that by 7:26, when he issued his second temporary restraining order, he did not mention returning any plaints.
Stephen K. Bannon
So why he wanted. Why did he drop that? Why is that not in the second?
Julie Kelly
I don't.
Stephen K. Bannon
He forgot. He forgot about it, or is it.
Julie Kelly
I think he just said. Because I said it. And he instructed that all attorneys there. You don't have to write this down, the verbal order. So now he's arguing that that verbal order is a court order, that it is controlling, and that because.
Stephen K. Bannon
And that is why he's trying to hold these people in contempt. On that oral.
Julie Kelly
On the oral.
Stephen K. Bannon
That he wants to know the exact time and who gave the command because that person has to be in contempt of this federal judge.
Julie Kelly
Correct. Although he did not again make that official in his 7:26 minute order that night.
Stephen K. Bannon
Right.
Julie Kelly
Then he held another hearing.
Stephen K. Bannon
But today. Okay, but today he did make a big deal about that.
Julie Kelly
So today was a show cause hearing. This is the fourth hearing in this matter in three weeks. This is how determined he is to make this an issue, a show cause hearing where the Department of Justice had to come and prove to him that they did not, as he calls it, disobey his order. But what he did today went even further and he grilled the DOJ attorney. Okay, who did you talk to during that break? After the break, did you email anyone after the hearing and let them know about this verbal command? That I did. Yes, I did. Who did you email?
Stephen K. Bannon
Well, they. Hold it, hang on. The government didn't give them any names. That's.
Julie Kelly
Yes, they did.
Stephen K. Bannon
How can that happen? That's executive. That's privilege only the President, the Attorney General has to talk to the President of the United States.
Julie Kelly
And again, this is nothing.
Stephen K. Bannon
That the lawyers just say, hey, we'll have to get back to you.
Julie Kelly
He did not.
Stephen K. Bannon
Are you telling me in an open court that the lawyer for the government, upon request of a judge, gave who they actually talked to by name and who they sent emails to, officials, a few names?
Julie Kelly
Yes, he did.
Stephen K. Bannon
We're not sending our best, I don't think. Well, first of all, am I, I'm not a lawyer, but I know enough about these procedures. You just hey, judge, I gotta get back to you.
Julie Kelly
I gotta get to.
Stephen K. Bannon
The judge says, no, you gotta give them to me now. Then guess what? I'm gonna. I guess I'm gonna take the contempt charge right here.
Julie Kelly
But on what basis is he asking for that? I mean, it's a clear delineation between. Between power, between authority. Where does a judge, an unelected judge, I don't care if he's the chief judge or who he is, demand to know.
Stephen K. Bannon
We were. These are heroes and warriors at the justice bar. And people, you have to understand, the White House staff is under tremendous pressure. Every department's under tremendous pressure because President Trump is moving with an urgency that we've never seen any president move in different verticals. Justice is under incredible pressure. And they're trying to hire. And of course, they're slowing down every. You know, I think Sawyer got approved today. I think he got confirmed today. But they've slowed down trying to get these guys in. They're under tremendous pressure. But do you believe that the Justice Department, the main justice, is taking this one seriously enough? Because this is probably the case, don't you think?
Julie Kelly
I think it is the case. And there are serious cases.
Stephen K. Bannon
Why do you think there's so many? But why do you think this is the case?
Julie Kelly
Because I think it goes right to what we talked about, about the heart of protecting presidential authority and power, especially immigration policy, foreign policy, diplomatic, national security. National security.
Stephen K. Bannon
This is him as commander in chief.
Julie Kelly
What Bossberg also did today, because the DoJ has invoked the administration state secret privilege to keep from Bosberg details about these deportation flights. This has nothing to do with Judge Bossberg wanting to know if these legals were denied due process or habeas or whatever. This is part of his crusade to create a contempt charge against him. They have invoked the state secret privilege. He laughed that off today, demanding to know on what basis have they invoked the state secret privilege.
Stephen K. Bannon
He laughed at all.
Julie Kelly
I mean, he was just like, well, I've never heard of this before. Is any of this information classified? On what basis are they saying the state secret? Why can't. You can't give it to me. He kept saying, you're telling me I can't have the information about these flights in an ex parte hearing. Like, he's like, how dare you say that? Me as the judge cannot get this information. Then he wanted to know who was listening on the audio line. Because all of a sudden, Steve, now, I covered these hearings, these trials for three years. They shut down the audio line right before they started the J6 trials. So if I wanted to cover a trial or proceeding, I had to come here. Then all of a sudden the lawsuits happen against the. All the audio lines are back on so everyone can listen to it. Judge Bosberg demanding to know who from the administration, dhs, doj, anyone was listening to the audio line, listening to the hearing. And the attorney says, well, I think I've got a name or two. I'm not sure. Who do you think might have been listening? And the DOJ said, well, I, I, I don't know. I can't speculate on who might have been listening to an open public line. This was so far beyond any judge's jurisdiction or authority. But what he's doing is intimidating this attorney. And as he said, I, he believed that there's probable cause that it could be held, someone can be held in contempt. Now, it's not just going to be, hey, here's a contempt charge. Here's a contempt contempt allegation. He's talking about depositions. He's talking about evidentiary hearings.
Stephen K. Bannon
He's talking about taking depositions of people in the administration.
Julie Kelly
Correct.
Stephen K. Bannon
He's talking about what else?
Julie Kelly
Evidentiary hearings, calling witnesses.
Stephen K. Bannon
Oh, cause he's moving down really, and he's moving in another direction of contempt here. It's a whole different thing.
Julie Kelly
He wants a whole process. Right. So today, not today, because we talked about this shortly thereafter, he, he was laying the contempt trap early. This is advancing the ball. So he said next month, next week, excuse me, he will issue an opinion, an order about the show cause hearing based on what he said today. He's going to say that he believes there's probable cause that the administration did violate his court order and perhaps could set out a whole new quasi trial judicial process, calling in top officials.
Stephen K. Bannon
Oh, he's going to go for, he's not going to go for civil. He's going to go for a criminal charge here. He's going to say, you, you, you crim, you, you disregarded my order from.
Julie Kelly
The bench and you've lied to me.
Stephen K. Bannon
Here and you lied to me afterwards and you shipped these guys out here and lied to me. That's a criminal charge. You watch, this is going to be. Now, just so the audience understands, there's also another part of this that may or may not go in the emergency docket of the Supreme Court. What is that about?
Julie Kelly
Well, here's the really, I think thing that Bossberg is doing and that is that both of his temporary, written temporary restraining orders are an emergency motion for a stay or a hold before the Supreme Court. And Bossberg's orders have all sorts of problems, not the least of which now.
Stephen K. Bannon
He turned out written clearly or they.
Julie Kelly
Just, they were, they were minute orders. There was no opinion followed up with that. There was one opinion that he issued denying their request for a stay. I know this is, this is complicated, but the temp, the initial temporary restraining orders, he didn't give any backup to either one of them. Then he said this verbal command is a temporary restraining order. Now he's basically turned the temporary restraining order into a preliminary injunction because he just extended the first 14 days of the TROs to another 14 days. But the Supreme Court has asked for briefings related to putting those TROs on hold. I think Bostberg's biggest problem is jurisdiction as the appellate court. One of the appellate court judges said this should have been handled in habeas in Southern Texas. There was no reason to bring this to D.C. well, we know why, but a good argument.
Stephen K. Bannon
The war room engine room legal department wants to ask Julie why no interlocutory appeals?
Julie Kelly
Well, I mean basically the emergency motion to the Supreme Court kind of acts that way. Temporary restraining orders are generally not appealable. So that's.
Stephen K. Bannon
But they're also not for long periods of time.
Julie Kelly
Right. And so in another case, the court, the appellate court said, well this TRO is acting as a preliminary injunction which is appealable and this is the next step in the TRO process there. But TROs generally are not appealable. Now the appellate court did take it up 2 to 1 decision though. They upheld Bossberg's temporary restraining orders, did not put a hold on that. And then that's how they got went.
Stephen K. Bannon
To the Supreme Court of the I think they have 90 some that every time he takes an action, like Kerry Lake was here the other day, Voice America I think already has seven. Every time they take an action, they're gang tackling these with a think about President Trump in the Oval, everything he has got going and the White House counsel and DOJ has to come over and briefing on these, on the complexity of them. Every time he takes an action, they understand to delay is to deny. They're trying to slow down the Trump agenda in every aspect of it.
Julie Kelly
And Jeb Bosberg repeatedly referred to January 6 as an insurrection, as an attempt to overthrow democracy, an attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. And here he is single handedly thwarting and sabotaging the president's agenda, especially immigration, which is wildly popular among Democrats. Independents and of course, Republicans. So here he is sabotaging the president, the elected president's top agenda Item, while for three years calling January 6th insurrection.
Stephen K. Bannon
And throwing people in jail and intruding into him being the commander in chief. Has anybody. One way to stop this is to have a hearing and bring Bosberg in. Have you gotten any sense of Judiciary? First off, are you briefing staff? Are you talking to staff? I know you can't. If it's confidential, fine. But is there any movement really in this town for judiciary to bring Bosberg and your, and your favorite burrow Howe in and have them deposed in front of the nation?
Julie Kelly
I mean, I know there were hearings this week about judicial overreach. I know that there is some proposed legislation to rein in these judges, but.
Stephen K. Bannon
That'S for the three. I love that. But that's a, that's a, it's isa. It's a process hearing about having three judge panel do it instead of just one. I think that's great. But that's not the problem we have right now.
Julie Kelly
That's not the problem. You need to bring these judges before impeachment hearings. What are they waiting for? What have they been waiting for? Now, I would argue very strongly that Beryl Howells, Jeb Bosberg's predecessor's chief judge, there's a much stronger case to impeach her because of all of her activity in the Mueller investigation, the doj, two criminal investigations into the president, her rubber stamping special counsel, Jack Smith. But Bosberg now is so out of his lane that what are they waiting.
Stephen K. Bannon
To have a showdown with us?
Julie Kelly
So if Jeb Bossberg can try to overreach into the presidential executive branch, what are they waiting for in doing the reverse?
Stephen K. Bannon
Okay, breaking news. Grace Chung just got to me. The first lawsuit has been filed against Trump's emergency tariffs on China by a conservative law group, the New Civil Liberties alliance, maybe one of these libertarian groups. Here's my point. Everything Trump is trying to do now with the reorganization of the tariffs and Day of Liberation, they're going to court. And by tomorrow, when we come back at 10 o'clock in the morning, I guarantee you there's going to be 50 lawsuits in different venues trying to get TROs to shut it all down. We got the judicial side is not, is not judicial supremacy. We have an insurrection and essentially a coup against the sitting president. About this, I want to play, Stephen. I want to play. We got Millers, Tim Millers. We were at the Justice Department. Real Quickly, Tax Network USA, tnusa.combannon get a free consultation. That day is coming. The IDEs of April. That would be 15th. 800-958-1000. Don't let the IDEs of April get you upside down. Talk to one of the most sophisticated group of tax experts in the country. Do it today. Do not panic. Don't sweat. They had a briefing at the Department of Justice and it was like Bannon.
Julie Kelly
Benny Johnson and it was just a.
Stephen K. Bannon
Whole rogues gallery of Loomer esque weirdos that were like having a briefing at the DOJ about the politicization of our government. So you know, Justice Department national security decisions are being decided by MAGA conspiracy bloggers. Shouldn't help you sleep at night. Yeah, Loomer got six mini scalps today. We got about a minute. Your work has been incredible. Are you in a camp out here to spend more time on these? And I take it people you see from the lawsuits on tariffs, this is just going to be a legal. We have to lance this boil, do we not?
Julie Kelly
Yes, we do. And so it's really in terms of this case sort of in the hands of the Supreme Court. See what they do in this emergency motion to put a stay on Bossberg's temporary restraining orders. Also Congress. Yes, letters are nice. Hearings are nice.
Stephen K. Bannon
You're saying start impeachment something.
Julie Kelly
Do something.
Stephen K. Bannon
You think it rises to the level of start an impeachment process now?

Bannon's War Room: WarRoom Battleground EP 739 Summary
Episode Information
[00:14] Ben Berkhwam
Ben Berkhwam opens the discussion by painting a grim picture of cartel influence in Cuyacan, Sinaloa, Mexico. He describes a chilling scene of mausoleums dedicated to cartel bosses, each more extravagant than the last, showcasing the immense wealth and power of these narco kingpins.
“These are mausoleums dedicated to cartel bosses in Cuyacan, Sinaloa... they build millions dollar mansions to be buried in monuments to some of the most evil people that have ever walked the earth.” [00:14]
Berkhwam emphasizes the corruption that sustains these cartels, highlighting the parallel between cartel wealth and governmental complicity.
[01:33] Stephen K. Bannon
Stephen K. Bannon discusses the Trump administration's aggressive measures to dismantle cartel operations in Mexico. He underscores the administration's commitment to eradicating these criminal organizations, despite resistance and media portrayal.
“If [the answer] is to save my country, this country will be saved.” [02:01]
Bannon asserts that the administration's actions are critical in restoring order and combating the pervasive influence of cartels, framing it as a battle for national sovereignty and security.
[04:37] Ben Berkhwam & [05:28] Stephen K. Bannon
Ben Berkhwam and Oscar Blue Ramirez provide firsthand accounts from Juarez, a city once thriving but now plagued by cartel violence. Berkhwam shares his experience visiting the newly constructed border wall and witnessing the aftermath of cartel activities. He points out the prevalence of Santa Muerte shrines, symbols of the cartels' deep-rooted evil.
“These shrines are getting built... they are praying to the devil.” [06:15] Ben Berkhwam
Bannon questions the symbolism behind these devout practices, probing into the cultural and psychological manipulation employed by the cartels.
[07:01] Stephen K. Bannon & [07:43] Ben Berkhwam
Bannon notes a significant shift in border security, highlighting the deployment of National Guardsmen and the establishment of checkpoints previously unseen under the Biden administration. Ben Berkhwam elaborates on these changes, attributing the reduction in fentanyl trafficking to these stringent measures.
“This was never done under Joe Biden. They're actually checking vehicles before they even enter to go across the bridge.” [07:43] Ben Berkhwam
Both emphasize that these actions signify a robust response to the cartel threat, reflecting the Trump administration's resolve to secure the border effectively.
[11:11] Julie Kelly & [21:48] Julie Kelly
Julie Kelly delves into the legal battles surrounding Judge Boasberg's actions against the Trump administration. She explains how Judge Boasberg is overstepping judicial authority by imposing restrictions that interfere with presidential power, particularly in immigration policy.
“These judges are pushing the boundaries of their authority and intruding on The President's Article 2...” [11:11] Julie Kelly
Kelly outlines the timeline of events leading to the current legal tensions, including the controversial use of the Alien Enemies Act and the subsequent temporary restraining orders aimed at halting deportation flights. She suggests that Boasberg is setting up a "contempt trap" for Trump officials, potentially leading to severe legal repercussions.
[25:05] Stephen K. Bannon & [37:19] Stephen K. Bannon
Stephen Bannon and Julie Kelly discuss the strategic legal maneuvers employed by the Trump administration to counter judicial overreach. Bannon highlights the immediate impact of Trump's policies following his inauguration, particularly the rapid implementation of border security measures.
“It was not even days. It was just a minute after he was inaugurated.” [16:12] Oscar Blue Ramirez
They argue that the administration's swift actions are essential in combating cartel influence and assert that judicial obstacles are intentional attempts to undermine presidential authority. Bannon emphasizes the need for robust defense against these legal challenges to maintain the administration's agenda.
[20:41] Stephen K. Bannon & [46:43] Stephen K. Bannon
Bannon underscores the importance of conservative media and legal support in defending the Trump administration's policies. He praises individuals like Julie Kelly and organizations that provide investigative support and legal expertise to counteract judicial overreach.
“These are heroes and warriors at the justice bar... They are trying to slow down the Trump agenda in every aspect of it.” [39:54] Stephen K. Bannon
Bannon also calls for legislative actions, such as impeachment hearings, to address what he perceives as unconstitutional actions by judges like Boasberg.
[50:37] Stephen K. Bannon & [50:44] Julie Kelly
In the concluding remarks, Bannon and Kelly reiterate the urgent need to uphold presidential authority and combat corruption both within Mexico and the U.S. They advocate for decisive actions to support the Trump administration's efforts in securing the border and dismantling cartel operations.
“If Jeb Bossberg can try to overreach into the presidential executive branch, what are they waiting for in doing the reverse.” [47:34] Stephen K. Bannon
Kelly calls for impeachment processes against judges who overstep their authority, emphasizing the necessity of maintaining the balance of power and protecting national security.
