Donald Trump
Donald Trump has an agenda and he wants everybody to conform to what he believes. And that often would mean telling everybody as loudly as they can how wonderful Donald Trump is and how great all of his policies are. NPR and PBS say they're going to fight back. Do they have the wherewithal?
Chris Krebs
Well, first of all, NPR as a, as a news organization and PBS also has news programs. They are not for Donald Trump. They are not against Donald Trump. They are news organizations that, that report independently, like so many news institutions do in the United States, many of which have been attacked by the President for saying things that he does not agree with. In the same way that my close friend Chris Krebs, who you mentioned, who is an American hero, has also been punished for expressing facts that also the President doesn't agree with. Npr, PBS and the organization that actually funds them, the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, are fighting back hard against this order for good reason, because the President doesn't actually have the authority to defund those entities. Congress does. They are not an executive branch agency over which he has jurisdiction. So they are rightly saying that this will not stand. He does not have those rights and they're going to fight for it, fight for themselves and fight for what would it mean?
Steve Bannon
This morning I want to highlight several FBI emails that I'm making public this very day. These emails show Biden FBI agents planning and celebrating the indictment of Trump adviser Peter Navarro in 2022. Upon receiving news of Navarro's impending indictment, former anti Trump FBI official Timothy Tebow replied, wow, great. End of quote. Yet when a criminal referral was issued for Nellie Orr, the FBI and DOJ chose not to press charges against her. As many of you know, Orr was a fusing GPS contractor involved in the fraudulent Crossfire hurricane investigation against Trump. And Orr's husband was an FBI agent who also worked against Trump or was accused of lying to Congress. In the last several months, I've also released FBI emails about genesis of Arctic Frost. Arctic Frost was the FBI case against Trump that became one of Jack Smith's cases. Through records that I've already made public, the investigation's political origins are now firmly established. Anti Trump agent Thibault and his merry band of partisans started the case. Many of the FBI agents on Article Frost were also involved in the Navarro case. Like Special Agent Walter Giogardena. My Democratic colleagues have been warning us about quote unquote, weaponization of the FBI and the D.C. u.S. Attorney's office under Trump. They've told us repeatedly of the dangers of law enforcement being used against political enemies. Now believe me, we Republicans know because Democrats are reading us pages from the Biden playbook.
Stephen K. Bannon
This is the primal scream of a dying regime. Pray for our enemies because we're going medieval on these people. Reasons I got a free shot on all these networks lying about the people. The people have had a belly full of it. I know you don't like hearing that. I know you try to do everything in the world to stop that, but you're not going to stop it. It's going to happen.
Liz Yore
And where do people like that go to share the big lie? MAGA MEDIA I wish in my soul.
Stephen K. Bannon
I wish that any of these people had a conscience. Ask yourself, what is my task and what is my purpose? If that answer is to save my country, this country will be saved.
Liz Yore
War ROOM here's your host, Stephen K. Banner.
Stephen K. Bannon
It's Friday the 2nd of May in the year of our Lord 2025. Momentarily, Chip Roy is going to step out of CRA, the center for Renewing America. Remember Jeff Clark, Mark Paoletta, the great Russ Vogt. So many others are in, have gone into the administration, OMB and other places to assist. They're actually having their conference. I will speak at their conference tomorrow morning before the War Room. We'll do the show in its entirety, but before the War Room. Chip Roy is over there right now. I think Chip addressed the group today. Dave Walsh, who was with us, his co host yesterday morning, has been over there all day. The conference is obviously terrific and Chip is going to step out because.
Chris Krebs
We'Ve.
Stephen K. Bannon
Reached out to him about this budget and to take kind of a first shot at things. We've been talking a little bit about it all throughout the day. Liz Yorr is with me also. We're going to go back to Liz momentarily about this Vigano, Archbishop Vigano interview. It's an exclusive interview Liz and I talked extensively about. Hey, if we're going to get a shot to do an exclusive here and we want to make something that people pay attention to, what types of questions should we ask? And you know, Liz is my mentor in many different areas regarding the church, really helped craft these questions that were quite provocative. And he answered them and he answered them in a depth in an intelligence that will make people sit up and take notice. Remember Archbishop Vigano being the papal nuncia or the ambassador from the Vatican to the United States, gets to see how the system works. He refers to Pope Francis as the ventriloquist for Davos. He has been on Davos before a lot of people even knew what it meant the World Economic Forum. He has been one of the fire breathers to point out what Davos means and what Davos means and what Davos man is and what the Davos man's control, what they want in the clash Schwab's of the world. He was one of the first to go after the great reset and to really bring it to public attention and begin this great awakening. There's two ways to go after the deep state. A couple ways, but a couple primary ways. Number one, you have to defund it. That's the issue we've been talking about today with this budget. Does it defund it? And I've had people go through the World bank side and the IMF side. There's just too much here we're funding that can't be funded from the deep state. This is a separate topic from can we afford to fund certain of these things programmatically? Can we afford to do. This is a question that's being answered partly in this budget to basically get rid of programs. Also in this budget, there's a significant increase to the defense budget. It's now really going to be officially over a trillion dollars. And my question on the defense budget, it's not being answered is this defense budget line up with the new hemispheric defense as laid out by President Trump, which is essentially a naval strategy. And have we really thought through this aspect of, you know, getting out of the wars on the Eurasian landmass and having a military that's structured to fight those wars, kind of last century's wars that have rolled into this century and are burying us alive? By the way, just when he's ready, we'll take him. They're set. There's. Yeah, they're setting up Chip right now. We're just going to grab him as soon as we can get him. Okay, here's so Chip Roy, Congressman Roy, thank you so much. Particularly stepping out cra, which as you know, our, our favorite, our favorite think tank and action group, this budget. I'm kind of confused. I'm confused because it's a good first cut. It clearly doesn't have the, the cuts we were hoping for. But more importantly, I'm confused in that it looks like it's a dramatic increase to defense spending, yet the defense, you know, the Cardinals and the defense, you know, particularly Wicker of Mississippi and the Senate and others in the House are coming, are coming after MAGA and coming after people like you. Like you're trying to slash the defense budget in half. Just so step back for a second and make sure. Let's get the confusion out of here. What in the hell's going on?
Liz Yore
Yeah. Thanks, Steve. Hope to see you here tonight. We're here obviously supporting a great organization, but most importantly, an organization that was started by Robert Vote, who is obviously the head of the Office of Management and Budget for President Trump. And he has sent out today a very strong budget. Now, it's very complicated. Let me see if I can break it down really quickly. Number one, what are the principles involved? You and I, I think both agree the defense establishment, right. The defense bureaucracy needs to be cut significantly. Right. We need to stop, you know, building our defense based on whatever K Street says. So what we're trying to do now is do two things, fix that and simultaneously stop allowing Democrats and squishes and swamp creatures to drive up non defense using defense as leverage. So what we did this time, and I think it was pretty creative and smart, and I was working with Russ on this from the beginning, was that we said, look, we will put some money into mandatory into the reconciliation budget in the debate, right in the fight. So we've got 100 to 150 billion sitting there, depending on if we can get that done. But that money will be used and freed up for President Trump and Pete Hegseth and them to do it without all the swamp creatures getting their hooks into it. They can go modernize the military. They can do drones, they can do missiles, you know, golden dome, whatever the president believes is important to actually defend our country. Peace through strength, not endless wars, not whatever case we want. But importantly, in doing that, our part of the bargain was we would only think about doing that, and it hasn't done yet. If they would send up a budget that was responsible. And what is that? Flat defense spending. Hold it flat. Go find ways to use whatever you need for troops. And then number two, cut non defense. So Russ sent up a budget that cuts that non defense budget by 20%, which takes it back to pre Covid 2017 levels, slashes the woke and weaponized bureaucracy significantly. Now, we got to go through all that. We got to deliver. But that's the budget that he set up. That is an important step to reset this town and to frankly realign all the power structures. That's why Mitch McConnell hates it. That's why Wicker hates it. To his credit, Lindsey Graham has applauded it because we worked with Lindsey from the beginning as the budget committee chairman. Now look, he's a hawk. I disagree with Lindsey a lot. He likes a lot more war than I do. But Lindsey understands something here, that we're trying to change the paradigm, change the town. Russ is doing it. The President gets it, Lindsey gets it. A lot of us in the Freedom Caucus and conservatives get it. I don't want to spend more money on defense without getting actual, you know, assets and modernized military so we can stand strong and peace through strength. That's what this is all about. Beat the war hawks and the swamp creatures.
Stephen K. Bannon
So let me ask you, when you say flat, you take the, is that the 858 billion from the last defense authorization? You take that as a baseline and you hold that flat.
Liz Yore
Yeah. You take the number I think is 8, 70 something is the total number. But you take that defense number and you keep that flat. In this budget, the non defense get cut by $163 billion, which is 20%. That's a lot and that's good. We'd be cutting a lot of stupid crud. And when you do that, then simultaneously while we're doing reconciliation, we put 150 billion, probably it's 100 to 150. We set that aside without letting all of the, you know, lobbyists and all of the appropriators get their hooks into it. And we say, all right, Pete. All right, Mr. President, go do what you need to do to make sure our military is not woke, to make sure the battleships are battleships, the carriers are carriers, the missiles are missiles and that we can, you know, be strong against China in the future.
Stephen K. Bannon
The reconciliation being a one time good 150 billion, one time flatline on the 870 and that'll either increase or decrease going forward. But that's, that's the baseline for the, that's how you get over the trillion. But it's the 150s only one time. How so for the audience. How can Wicker, Wicker is like you and vote have pillaged him and pillaged the defense like we're defenseless now. But what is the logic? That's what I'm saying. What is their defense? What are they saying that, that you guys are doing?
Liz Yore
Well, two things. They prefer it to be on autopilot. Right. They want to have the baseline and the discretionary budget just be sitting there with the money rolling into the future rather than having to earn it. And we've kind of set it up so you have to earn it. Number two, they want to be able to control the money. Right. They want to go sit down with all their lobbyist buddies and all of the contractors who have been controlling our Defense world for the last quarter century and longer. I mean, going all the way back to the mid 20th century. Right. I mean, I think it was Eisenhower that talked about the defense industrial complex. The fact is all of those folks are the ones that have been deciding how this works. And what do we have now a military that is not modern, it's not up to speed. We're getting outpaced down in the South Pacific. We're woke. We've got a navy that is aging. We don't have missiles that are up to date modern. We don't have a golden dome Iron Dome equivalent that Israel has. We don't have the drone technology we need. So we need to do that while cutting the waste at the Pentagon. Pete says he's going to cut the waste. Great. We'll hold the budget flat. You go cut waste, take that out, use it for troop pay, move it to assets, and we're going to go put a pot of money over here that we're giving you to go modernize the military. And if they do that and we're moving along, then in two years we can revisit it. But right now we need to hold it down flat. That's why whickers mad. That's why McConnell's mad. They want their sandbox. They want all their lobby buddy money and to be able to sit down and they can bring home the bacon for the helicopters and the jets in their districts and all the stuff they always do to enrich their local folks at the expense of our military being as strong as it needs to be.
Stephen K. Bannon
If you go back, you take, let's just go back the last 10 years. I mean, so for the MAGA base to get their hands around this and also to have some sort of not assurance but at least comfort that there's some fiduciaries that are looking at this. If you go back and listen to go back 10 years and you just do an average and you know, we've spent, you know, excluding the operational things that were spent for Afghanistan because that was a side pocket. If you just look at running the building in the material commands and all that you spent, I don't know, five, six, seven trillion dollars over the last decade accumulative. And yet we're here and there's a consensus from, from the side that wants to spend more money and from the side of us, I don't want to spend more money, more bigger cuts that we, we have. The military's age, the equipment's age is not kept up. A lot of the Systems are wrong. There's a misfit between, there's a mismatch between actual capabilities and strategy. And particularly if you look at this hemispheric defense from Panama to Greenland, more of a naval strategy, the Central Pacific, the three island chain, all of that getting away from more as President Trump negotiates, you know, with the Russians, Ukraine, the Middle East, Persia, putting the guns down, that how, how do people then get assurance and say, hey, guys, you've spent six or seven trillion dollars over the last decade and we're here now in May of 2025, and you're telling me the reason we got to spend now a trillion dollars a year is that the systems are old, the systems are mismatched. How is anybody, there's no authority that can step forward and say, look, a group of wise men and say, hey, this is really makes sense, et cetera, because essentially everybody's law's been shredded on the credibility because it just looks like a money, it looks like almost a money laundering operation. Am I wrong in that, that the American people that should be asking about this, Sir?
Liz Yore
Steve, you're 100% right. The American people should be asking about that. They should be frustrated. The reason I voted against virtually every spending bill since I've been in Congress for the last six years is for this very reason. The reason I've been trying to highlight back in the McCarthy fight, right, when we forced the question, we got Conservative Freedom Caucus members onto the Appropriations Committee. We had Eli Crane, our good friend, who I know is a friend to you, he came in and offered an amendment, right, 18 months ago, in the fall of 23, to cut that USAID funding. That's pissing away taxpayer money for ridiculous international spending. Guess what? 102 Republicans voted for it, but 114 Republicans voted against it. That's what we're up against. So now you see the same thing happening at the Pentagon. I am counting on this administration with Russ, voted omb, with Pete Hegseth and what they're trying to do over at the Pentagon to go find savings. They've told us that. And we're going to have to make sure we follow up and ensure those savings are there. And then we've got to deliver. We have not delivered between endless wars, pissing away money, trying to build soccer fields in Iraq and continuing all the spending that we did in the Middle East. And then the bloated bureaucracy in the Pentagon, the civilian waste, the bloated programs, the contracts that are to get into the fat pockets of people in their home Districts, the K Street lobby. We have pissed away resources, and now our defense is not where it needs to be. The time has come to change that, and that's what Russ and I and some others are trying to do. And I applaud the president, Russ, for trying to change the paradigm. That's why we're doing it this way.
Stephen K. Bannon
So how are we going to avoid. I know you got to get back in the last question. How are we going to avoid? Because here's what's going to happen, audience, in the next couple of weeks. The actual individuals are trying to be patriots and stand up and say, hey, look for four strong national defense raw hawks in this regard. We don't want to be bombing everywhere. We don't be, we don't interventionists, but we want strong military. They're going to turn you guys into the worst humans on earth that you're, you're essentially trying to leave America defenseless and naked in a hostile world. Right? That's what, that's what, that's what the, that's what the people who are actually destroying the military are going to turn on the people trying to save it, because it's all going to get down to money. And they say, no, no, no, you need to spend all this money. Anybody that's looking to actually reasonably cut defense spending or just line it up with what our real strategy is is someone that's actually prepared to, you know, make sure the countries are going to have it, that the country's totally defenseless. How do you, how are you guys going to do the jujitsu to make sure that doesn't happen?
Liz Yore
Well, we're going to keep trying to message it to the American people. We're going to stand behind the president's budget that that Russ put out on behalf of the President. I would also note that a significant number of the fiscal conservatives are also veterans. Guys like Scott Perry, the former chairman of the Freedom Caucus. He's a former general. Andy Harris, he's a veteran. Eli Crane is a former Navy SEAL sniper. Andrew Clyde, there's a supply, you know, he was in supply in the Army. So we've got a lot of veterans among the fiscal conservatives that when we were fighting on, on the McCarthy fight, we were trying to get these guys onto the appropriations committees and on the committees that would matter. So now we're making a difference and we're forcing the change. We're having the conversations that we need to have. For all of the folks out there watching this, you're going to have to be watching it like hawks making sure we all deliver. But this balance of what we're doing and reconciliation and in the discretionary budget, it all has to come together. What I'm telling the administration is I'm not going to vote for your mandatory block of money for defense unless defense is flat. I'm not giving you a sandbox to go play in a mandatory while you jack up the discretionary spending. And if they try to do that, we'll be going to war with them on that. Look, I love the administration and Russ is a great friend. We're all working together on this. But if the Hawks try to get this derailed so they can get all the money they want with all of the goodies they want rather than doing what we need to defend America and make it lean and mean, then we're.
Stephen K. Bannon
Going to be fighting over Chip with social media. You're putting up great stuff all the time, Congressman. Where do people go?
Liz Yore
Chip Roy, Txipro ytx. That's my personal X or Twitter account. And then Rep. Chiproy is my official account. And then roy.house.gov is my, my website. And thank you, Steve. Thanks for all that you do. Really grateful. And I'm going to go out here and try to support Russ's good organization and try to make sure this budget gets out there for everybody to understand it.
Stephen K. Bannon
Yeah. Fantastic. See you guys tomorrow morning. Chip Roy all right.
Liz Yore
God bless you.
Stephen K. Bannon
Great. God bless you. Take your number two pencil out, folks. Write down. This is going to get gnarly. This is going to get nasty. I can already tell this is going to be, it's going to be nasty at 800. Think about it for a second. $870 billion and you sign off and as a baseline, and I'll raise you, I'll give you another $150 billion. I'll give you another $150 billion. And we buy all kind of other stuff because the stuff we bought before is, I don't know, not the right stuff. There's still not enough. It's, it's, it's. I'll talk about tomorrow. This is why I've asked Cain to join us. Kane is a brilliant guy and this is really the reason he's done Citizens Free Press. This is his issue. We're going to have Kane on tomorrow morning. We're going to address this even again. Ben Harold is going to be live in Rome with us. His warning to America is spiritual, but at the same time it's quite practical that there are enemies of Christianity, there are enemies of an ordered country, there are enemies of the spiritual life of man. And they are not lurking in the shadows. They're out there and they're actually in control. And you must not lose this movement this moment to address it. Liz, your yeah.
Donald Trump
One of my favorite lines in his interview with you is with the election of Donald Trump, the infernal machine of the New World Order has somehow jammed, putting into crisis a system of corruption, conflicts of interest and blackmail that seemed to work perfectly. But it's up to the citizens and the believers to support good rulers and good pastors so that they can finally bring justice to this global cool that threatens all of humanity.
Stephen K. Bannon
Unbelievable. Liz, just hang on for one second. I want to, I want to. We're going to come back. We're going to go through more about the conclave, the great work of the community of the present danger, China, because this ties right back to geopolitics, absolute geopolitics. Tomorrow I'm also going to try to drill down the situation in Texas, the Lone Star State, the railhead to the MAGA movement and the great patriots down there that have fought and fought and fought and delivered a victory for President Trump by 14 points. Think about that for a second. 14 points. Ted Cruz by nine total. Off the rails down there with these Democrats in the House and really the rhinos and the Bush faction. That's what it's about. Here'S your host, Stephen K. Band.
Stephen K. Bannon
Liz, any, any of the highlights. I'm gonna talk about this again tomorrow morning on the show. Harnwell's gonna be there in the Vatican and we got so much else that we're gonna talk about. Texas, President Trump's, some of the politics regarding this budget. All of it. So tomorrow morning is going to be absolutely jam packed. Any other thoughts before we shift back to this Chinese deal, the deal with the Chinese Communist Party? What Any other thoughts on the. This interview is explosive. We asked very tough questions, very pointed questions, and hey, guess what? He answered them and answered them in brilliant detail. Any other thoughts before we shift to another topic?
Donald Trump
No, Steve, you know, we were hurtling towards Agenda 2030 and with divine intervention, we got the blessings of a Trump election and in also, I might add, the death of Jorge Bergoglio. So it is a moment in time when we need, as you always say, you know, don't take your foot off the pedal and just keep pushing forward. But, you know, we need not only political muscle, but we need spiritual and moral guidance and we're not getting it for the time being from the Vatican, but I think people will get both political and moral guidance from this interview. He, he hits it all, from everything from a global coup to the traditional Latin mass to what we all need to do to make sure that the deep state is crushed. So it's a, it's a great read. It's a little dense in some places. Places, but it's fascinating.
Stephen K. Bannon
No, I think people, and here's what. And for our evangelical Christian brothers and sisters, for our Jewish listeners, Muslim, any faith, the Buddhists, all the Asians, everybody. One thing he's arguing here is that we need to have a great awakening, not just spiritually. You need to have a practical awakening about what this apparatus is that control so much and that this must be taken down. If it's not taking down, it's kind of the, I think his comment of the, the possibilities of the moment, but also the terror of the moment that you miss this. He makes this brilliant case that for, you know, and, and he is a believer that Donald Trump is divinely inspired, providentially that he does. If it had not been for Trump, if it not been for Trump in this time and place, it have been over. And then you've got to take advantage of that because you're not going to have Trump, even Trump running in 28 and winning again. We're not going to have Trump forever. And this, this is urgent work that must be done and must be done today. Nothing be a higher priority.
Donald Trump
He's reiterating everything you say in the war room, Steve, that this, if we've got to take advantage of this moment, it's important to pull back the curtain, expose and battle the evil ones who are pulling all the strings behind the curtain and really We've got to get tough, and we can't take anything, any of our victories for granted. Now's the time to double down because the global elites are doubling down. They're not going to back off. And as much as we want to back, it's not going to work.
Stephen K. Bannon
Another take. I actually misread her tweet because I only saw the first part. MTG comes as from a totally different perspective. She's got a tweet out about the party and about, you know, and Trump. You know, you got to read that. I'll put it up on my getter later. But it's. It's a different angle, but she's saying essentially the same thing. These are. People are warning us about the lack of urgency. Talk about urgency. Frank Gaffney, the comparison of the present danger. This is one of the central issues that must be dealt with by the Catholic Church now in regard to this conclave. We cannot go forward. Liz Yure with a secret deal with the Chinese Communist Party. You can have a situation where Ben Harnwell argues and this kind of cuts against a lot of, I think, traditional Catholicisms the way we think. The Protestant churches are much more driven by laity. The laity has a much more active role in their governance. The Catholic Church just has not had that. Ben Harnwell and others are saying, hey, given the corruption of these bishops, the incompetence of these bishops, you need to have a much more active laity. One issue that we point to is that the hierarchy of the church gave that power to the Chinese Communist Party over the selection of bishops in a secret deal. And we know they've crushed the. The real traditional underground Catholic church was one of the strongest branches of Catholicism. We had that must be unveiled. How high a priority is this of that? It's got to be laid out, publicly, discussed. And actually, people held accountable for how we had this deal with the Chinese Communist Party because this underpins really, the fiduciary responsibility of the church in just about every area. Liz, your.
Donald Trump
Steve. We're calling it the Vatican suicide pact with the ccp. We've been talking about this on War Room. Every time the pact came up to be renewed, we showed how it was violated. Steve, there are 10 Catholic bishops that have been arrested, detained and disappeared by the ccp. And the Vatican never did a thing. I mean, you know, it beautiful. That beautiful man, Cardinal Zen, 93 years old. He's at the conclave right now, and he is raising holy hell. This secret deal has before the. The ink was Even dry on the deal, the CCP was violating it. They were arresting, harassing, they were bulldozing churches, not only Catholic churches but Christian churches. And as a result, it has been violated to the T and we don't know what's in it. But now we know. Now we know. When Pope Francis just passed away two days later, the CCP appointed two new bishops, one from Shanghai and one from Xinjiang. And without any consultation. So essentially we have the Communist Party, the atheistic Communist Party, choosing the hierarchy of the Catholic Church in China. These are people who will be participating in the selection of the next Pope. And so we are putting a target on the back of every single cardinal in the conclave. But we demand a loyalty test. Are they going to decry this awful agreement? Are they going to stand up and say, one, it needs to be revealed, two, it needs to be repealed immediately by the next Pope. And three, there needs to be a three, a four, full throated, I believe, apology to the Catholics and Christians in China for this, this secret pact which has caused unimaginable, unimaginable destruction and pain and suffering. You know, when Francis signed the deal, he said, well, I know it's going to cause a lot of suffering. And guess what, he was right. It did. I mean, I said back then he should have read the art of the deal. But this, this has been, it's a playbook actually of how the totalitarians are going to capture the faith and religion. And of course the Chinese have shown us how it's done. They have negotiated and you know, Cardinal Zen told them, look, it's a suicide pact. It's a deal with the devil. It's going to be a betrayal of the Christian and Catholic Church in China. You were turning over the church to the enemies of Christ. And so to the enemies, turning over to the enemies of the devil. Excuse me. And in fact, it's happened. And you know what they did, Steve, is the CCP went to every other religion and said, look, the Vatican approves of our actions. We're a partner with the Vatican, so you have to follow us. We, they immediately, and this is what people don't realize. They immediately passed this law which prevents any child, any child in China under the age of 18 from going to a religious ceremony, a religious service, a religious school, a camp, a religious camp. They have in one generation eradicated all religion in China. And they did this.
Stephen K. Bannon
Why did they do that? Yeah, why did they do that? The most powerful church, the most powerful church in the world is the underground evangelical house churches. In the underground Catholic church in China. These people are under first of all, the scale of it is huge. The Chinese intelligence authorities talk about they may be up to 100 million practicing evangelical Christians and Catholics, traditional Catholics in China. Right. It's a vibrant, robust church. That's why the CCP is so adamantly focused on destroying it. This is what the Vatican walked into. And McCarrick and the people that made it Perilan are not to be trusted. McCarrick's one of the worst individuals of the 21st century. Right. And he was the mastermind and back of this. This whole thing stinks to high heaven. And you see this underground church of evangelical Christians and Catholics that are rooted out by the Chinese Communist party atheistic, you know, criminal class in Beijing. It's obvious why they were doing it. The church was getting too strong. The church actually threatened their regime. She talks about it all the time. He's less concerned about the American military and more concerned about evangelical Christianity and traditional Catholicism. They feel it is a direct threat to the regime. You know why it is a direct threat to the regime. They understand these are smart, tough people.
Donald Trump
So it is.
Stephen K. Bannon
Liz, go ahead.
Donald Trump
Yes. One more thing. People need to know that they are taking down crucifixes in churches and replacing them with Xi Jinping's picture. They are rewriting the Bible so that it aligns with communism. So everybody can get me@your children.com please. I urge you to go to action, Action action. Go to repealthedeal.org you can sign our petitions there even if you're not in the United States. It will go to the conclave to the Catholic Church. We want this deal repealed, torn up and exposed to the light of day. So thank you Steve and we'll in there you can watch the webinar on repeal the deal.
Stephen K. Bannon
Yeah, we're going to, we're going to Grace is going to put the webinar up. We're going to do all of this. Ben Harno with us live tomorrow from the Vatican. Liz, thank you for making this happen. Liz, your the great leisure, my mentor.
Donald Trump
Thank you, Steve.
Stephen K. Bannon
Okay, while we're talking geopolitics and on Sunday another I think two huge elections in Romania and in Australia. I'll do more about Romania tomorrow. In Australia, really a centerpiece of this is about guess what the Chinese Communist Party tariffs, trade, the international order. Stan Voight yet Watsky. I think I got that right. Close enough. From Perseus Group joins one, one of the centerpieces of this, one of the most hotly Debated. I was actually interviewed on Australian media about three weeks ago. This is the only question they wanted to focus on. Talk to us. What is the situation with these submarines, the, these American submarines for the Australian Navy? The construction. What, what, what is the issue and what's the controversy? Sir?
Stan Voight
Good afternoon, Steve. Thank you for having me on your show and elevating this topic. In 2021, a generational defense agreement was signed between the U.S. uK and Australia which provided for the construction design of a new class of submarines called Aukus class based on the Virginia class nuclear propulsion submarine. This is a 30 year $250 billion agreement and defense partnership which is meant to both reassure allies and partners in the region, but also give predictability to competitors. And our concern as of late is seeing the narrative and the sentiment, both political and in the public opinion in Australia shift dramatically to the point that with elections coming this Sunday, we are entering very choppy waters for Aukus, pun intended. And we, we submit to you that there is a good possibility that the Aukus deal be canceled unilaterally by Australia. This is where we are today and we thank you for elevating this topic.
Stephen K. Bannon
On your show too. But hang on for a second. In fact, the Virginia classic base plan, this is a series of fast attack submarines that would be delivered to the Australian, to the Australian Navy for their operation over a number of years, correct?
Stan Voight
That is correct. Three would be built in the U.S. and several would be built in the U.K. and Australia.
Stephen K. Bannon
Yes. Some built in the U.S. off of U.S. design, some in the U.K. some are. And they would, they would be on patrol as fast attack submarines in the Indo Pacific, which is the center of gravity of now our conflict and controversy with the Chinese Communist Party with obviously India and Australia as two of our central allies, correct?
Stan Voight
That is correct. And it's reaffirming American naval supremacy in the Indo Pacific, as you said. And it does so with a projected 30 year. 30 year program.
Stephen K. Bannon
A 30 year program is the controversy in Australia. The cost of this, given their defense budget, is that they don't want to tell the Chinese, hey, you know, we're actually an ally of America, but we don't be too up in your face because now we're building a series of fast attack submarines to basically patrol, to basically take the, the People's Liberation Navy to the bottom of the Straits of Malacca. I mean, what is the issue? Is it a money issue? Is that they don't want to tip their hand too much to the ccp? Why is this so controversial?
Stan Voight
So I think There are several elements that are playing into this, this perilous moment in Australia's destiny, should we say. The first one is a cost issue. $250 billion makes it a generational, perhaps the most, the largest maritime naval defense agreement in our modern history. Unfortunately, the, the cost of that program, which as I mentioned is $250 billion, is expected to rise due to a number of factors. But certainly recent announcement with regards to the global tariff regime would certainly drive that the cost per unit and the total cost of the program. And as a result this is affecting significantly the arbitrage in terms of the public defence spending in Australia and committing so much of the resources to this program that obviously a lot of other posts in social spending and elsewhere are being affected. The second element I think is a delivery schedule issue. That the first unit would be delivered from US yard by 2032 and with delays expected, we might be approaching closer to 2034. And the first unit built by Australians would be in the 2040s. And so that leaves a huge gap in the next six to eight years as to how to be able to enforce, if you will, this maritime domain. And that has obviously Australians very worried considering, you know, how we are lagging behind in our industrial output to turn around submarines even for our own US Navy fleet renewal. The third element I think relates to the shifting global dynamics and what is perceived by most allies and partners as a retreat on the part of the United States. Potentially also a notion of policy of unpredictability. And whether it is with regards to Ukraine or Naito, the Australians are looking very cautiously at how the Trump administration is really keeping to its long term commitments and wondering if the Trump administration will in fact be there by their side for the duration of the program. And I would, I would add a fourth element which is obviously that the French have a very compelling proposal on the table which answers both the cost issue and the delivery schedule issue.
Stephen K. Bannon
Don't they always the it's a Labour government. At first it was looked like they'd have a chance. How the labor government, where do they stand in regards to this program? Because you're right, one of the big issues is that hey, in all practicality, if you commit to this, it could be a decade before you get delivery of the first fast attack. Where does this labor government stand?
Stan Voight
So most of the issues during this campaign have been around cost of living and inflation and energy costs, housing prices, health care, insurance and welfare programs. The labor administration nevertheless has been probably more effective at answering elector's concerns about how to deal with President Trump's administration and policies. And in that, in that sense, the conservative they call in Australia, the liberals and coalition with the nationalists have not been able to make that case. And therefore we expect on Sunday a landslide victory for, for the incumbent with a 54, 55% margin. I would like to raise the fact that a few days ago in Australian Parliament, a petition was circulated which was signed by about a third of parliament members to immediately cancel Aukus. And I think this is relatively in line with also the popular sentiment which historically has been against anything nuclear, whether it's nuclear power, nuclear arsenal or in this case nuclear propulsion. And so there's always been a historic, you know, sort of resistance towards anything nuclear. And because this is a nuclear propulsion program, obviously this is one of the fault lines that may be used by some of the opposing.
Stephen K. Bannon
Stan, we had a hard out here. Where do people go for social media, your website, how they find out more about this, particularly between now and Sunday.
Stan Voight
So I think there's plenty of news. We don't see as much in US media, but certainly in the UK and France and a little bit more so in Australia there's been tremendous coverage and that's why we're a little concerned not to see the same kind of attention being given to the topic here stateside. But certainly any information regarding the vacillating position of the Australians or about the Aukus program. There's a great LinkedIn page and website called Aukus Forum and I commend its Australian CEO Michael Sharp, who's been at the forefront of trying to bring together all the small and medium sized businesses that are going to converge and orbit around this defense program and stand.
Stephen K. Bannon
Thanks.
Stan Voight
We don't have a west side.

Hey War Room. Hope you're all doing well. My name is Trevor Comstock, I'm one of the co creators of Sacred Human and I wanted to share just a little bit more about our brand. For those who may not know of us yet, but about six months ago we decided to launch Sacred Human with really the simple mission being to provide American made natural supplements without all the artificial nonsense. So unfortunately, as many of you know, a lot of these big corporate supplements will include things like preservatives, artificial ingredients and other additives that really aren't benefiting your health. So that's why we created Sacred Human, really trying to fill this gap of quality supplements and of course the beef liver being our flagship products. For those who don't know, beef liver is loaded with highly bioavailable ingredients such as vitamin A, B12, zinc CoQ10, etc. And because it is 100% grass fed and natural, your body is able to absorb these nutrients far better than taking any other synthetic multivitamin or any other synthetic vitamin in general. So we have some other amazing products, but if you'd like to check us out, you can go to sacredhumanhealth.com and cheers to your health.
WarRoom Battleground EP 760: Chip Roy Breaks Down New Budget Proposal – Detailed Summary
Published on May 2, 2025 by WarRoom.org
The episode of WarRoom Battleground opens with a commentary from former President Donald Trump discussing his agenda and the perceived opposition from major media outlets like NPR and PBS. Trump asserts, “Donald Trump has an agenda and he wants everybody to conform to what he believes... NPR and PBS say they're going to fight back. Do they have the wherewithal?” (00:14) This sets the tone for a deep dive into the current political tensions surrounding media independence and government budgeting.
Chris Krebs responds to Trump’s remarks by defending NPR and PBS's impartiality. He emphasizes their role as independent news organizations, stating, “They are not for Donald Trump. They are not against Donald Trump. They are news organizations that report independently...” (00:34). Krebs highlights the importance of preserving their funding through the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, arguing against the President's attempts to defund these entities.
Steve Bannon takes a critical turn by presenting recently released FBI emails purportedly revealing plans within the Biden administration and FBI against former Trump adviser Peter Navarro. Bannon states, “These emails show Biden FBI agents planning and celebrating the indictment of Trump adviser Peter Navarro in 2022.” (01:43).
He further details the selective prosecution within the FBI, mentioning the decision not to press charges against Nellie Orr, a GPS contractor involved in the Crossfire Hurricane investigation, despite her connections to the FBI and accusations of lying to Congress. Bannon accuses Democrats of "reading us pages from the Biden playbook," suggesting a systematic effort to weaponize federal agencies against political opponents.
The core of the episode revolves around Congressman Chip Roy dissecting the new budget proposal. Stephen K. Bannon moderates a discussion with Roy and Liz Yore, focusing on substantial increases in defense spending juxtaposed with significant cuts in non-defense areas.
Roy and Yore elaborate on the proposed defense budget, which aims to increase spending to over $1 trillion. Yore explains, “In this budget, there's a significant increase to the defense budget... [it's] really going to be officially over a trillion dollars.” (05:56). The primary goal is to modernize the military, emphasizing capabilities such as drones, missiles, and naval strategies aligned with President Trump’s hemispheric defense vision.
To balance the increased defense spending, the proposal includes a 20% cut in non-defense spending, translating to approximately $163 billion. Yore articulates, “We need to stop allowing Democrats and squishes and swamp creatures to drive up non-defense using defense as leverage... [and] slashes the woke and weaponized bureaucracy significantly.” (09:27). These cuts target programs deemed wasteful or influenced by lobbyists, aiming to redirect funds towards essential defense modernization.
Despite the comprehensive plan, Roy expresses confusion over the budget’s reception, noting, “I'm confused in that it looks like it's a dramatic increase to defense spending... like you're trying to slash the defense budget in half. What in the hell's going on?” (12:12). The budget faces opposition from figures like Senate Majority Leader Steve Wicker and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who are critical of the increased defense expenditures. Yore defends the budget by highlighting its adherence to flatlining defense spending while ensuring funds are allocated effectively for modernization.
A significant portion of the episode focuses on an exclusive interview with Archbishop Vigano, conducted by Liz Yore. The discussion centers on the Vatican-China relations and the controversial secret deal between the Vatican and the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
Yore introduces Archbishop Vigano, highlighting his critical stance on the Vatican’s dealings with China. She notes, “Archbishop Vigano... has been one of the first to go after the great reset and to really bring it to public attention and begin this great awakening.” (05:02). The interview reveals how the Vatican engaged in a covert agreement with the CCP, allowing Beijing significant influence over the selection of Catholic bishops in China.
Vigano exposes the severity of religious repression in China, stating, “They are rewriting the Bible so that it aligns with communism... people can’t go to religious ceremonies, religious schools...” (42:02). This agreement has facilitated the CCP's crackdown on underground churches, eradicating traditional Catholic and evangelical Christian practices. Vigano criticizes Pope Francis for failing to adequately address or oppose this pact, leading to widespread suffering among Chinese Christians.
The episode underscores the urgency of repealing the Vatican’s agreement with China. Trump echoes this sentiment, dubbing it the “Vatican suicide pact” and calling for a “loyalty test” for cardinals participating in the conclave to ensure they condemn the agreement (40:32). Bannon and Trump emphasize the need for accountability within the Vatican to protect global Christianity from CCP's authoritarian control.
The discussion shifts to the Aukus submarine agreement between the US, UK, and Australia, featuring insights from Stan Voight of Perseus Group.
Voight explains that the Aukus deal involves the construction of a new class of submarines based on the US Virginia-class design, marking a $250 billion commitment over 30 years. These submarines are intended to bolster naval supremacy in the Indo-Pacific region, countering CCP's maritime ambitions (45:01).
Several factors threaten the continuation of this agreement:
Cost Overruns: The projected $250 billion has risen, causing budgetary strains in Australia.
Delivery Delays: Initial deliveries are postponed to 2032, with subsequent units delayed until the 2040s, leaving a significant operational gap (49:11).
Political Climate: Australia's upcoming elections have sparked debates, with a strong possibility of the opposition canceling the Aukus deal due to public concerns over nuclear propulsion and economic implications.
Alternative Proposals: France's competitive proposal offers a more cost-effective and timely alternative, increasing pressure on Australia to reconsider its commitment (49:36).
Voight expresses concern over potential unilateral cancellation by Australia, which could disrupt the strategic balance in the Indo-Pacific and undermine US naval supremacy.
Stephen K. Bannon wraps up the episode by previewing upcoming discussions, including:
Live Coverage from the Vatican: Addressing the implications of the Vatican-China deal.
Texas Politics: Exploring the recent shifts in Texas elections and the strength of the MAGA movement.
Global Geopolitical Tensions: Analyzing ongoing situations in South Korea, Australia, and Romania, with a focus on US military strategies and international alliances.
Bannon emphasizes the urgency of these issues, stating, “...this is going to get gnarly. This is going to get nasty.” (22:04) He also teases interviews with notable figures like Kane, who will discuss the importance of media coverage in shaping public perception of these pivotal events.
Donald Trump (00:14): “Donald Trump has an agenda and he wants everybody to conform to what he believes... NPR and PBS say they're going to fight back. Do they have the wherewithal?”
Chris Krebs (00:34): “They are news organizations that report independently... many of which have been attacked by the President for saying things that he does not agree with.”
Steve Bannon (01:43): “These emails show Biden FBI agents planning and celebrating the indictment of Trump adviser Peter Navarro in 2022... weaponization of the FBI.”
Liz Yore (05:02): “We're going to have to make sure we follow up and ensure those savings are there... we need the military to be as strong as it needs to be.”
Stephen K. Bannon (12:12): “I'm confused in that it looks like it's a dramatic increase to defense spending... What in the hell's going on?”
Donald Trump (42:02): “They are rewriting the Bible so that it aligns with communism... you need to protect the spiritual life of man.”
In Episode 760 of WarRoom Battleground, WarRoom.org delves into the intricate dynamics of the new budget proposal spearheaded by Chip Roy, highlighting significant defense spending increases balanced by substantial cuts in non-defense sectors. The episode underscores the political battles surrounding budget allocations, the alarming revelations of potential FBI overreach under the Biden administration, and the pressing need to address the Vatican's compromising deal with the CCP.
Moreover, the discussion extends to global geopolitical strategies, particularly the Aukus submarine agreement, raising concerns over its sustainability amidst rising costs and shifting Australian political sentiments. With exclusive interviews and expert analyses, the episode provides listeners with a comprehensive understanding of the multifaceted challenges facing the nation’s budgetary and geopolitical landscape.
