All right, you guys, if you watched Maternal Instincts on Netflix, I'm sitting with Wade, Cody, and Stephanie, and there's a lot of questions and things that they want to clear up, as well as information that was not said on the documentary. But before you go any further, if you have not familiarized yourself with this documentary, please check your trigger war. Do not listen to this if you have not done that. Welcome to Barely Famous Podcast, y'. All. All right, Wade, Stephanie, and Cody, how are you?
C
Good.
B
So I reached out to Stephanie on Tick Tock a couple, like, maybe like a month ago.
D
Yeah.
B
And I. Everyone was tagging me in Wade's Tick Tock live, saying that y' all were on social media now, and Wade wanted to get on a podcast. And so I didn't. I couldn't find you right away, but I found Stephanie, and I immediately, immediately reached out and was like, I'll come down to Texas to see y'. All. So thank you for being here.
D
Thank you.
B
I got in at, like, one in the morning, and I didn't know that Texarkana was in Arkansas, and I had never heard of Mod Texas in my life, so if that tells you anything. And I've been in and out of Texas my whole life, and I was like, mod or Texarkana? Like, what is this? So that's the airport you all use around here?
D
Yeah.
B
Oh, Texarkana.
C
Yes, ma'. Am.
B
Okay. So I'm getting my hair done done here at this Airbnb, and I'm like, so what do y' all do around here? And she's like, hang out at people's houses?
D
Yeah.
B
Are you all all born and raised here?
D
Yeah.
B
You are. So what did you guys grow? How did you guys meet? You guys, Stephanie and Cody, y' all are married?
D
Yeah.
B
And then you're friends with Wade. How did you guys all meet?
C
I met Wade through hunting and stuff. Hogan.
B
Okay.
E
We've been.
C
That was probably 15.
E
Fifteen years ago, maybe more.
B
Okay.
D
And then we went to school together, Lived in Mod our whole life, so.
B
Well, and you had told me that you have kids and grandkids. How many kids do you have?
D
Four and two grandkids.
B
Oh, my gosh. I have seven kids. So it's like the same, right?
D
Yeah.
B
Chaos all the time. Do they also live in Mod?
C
Oh, yeah.
B
Oh, my gosh. So once you're here, you're always here. It does feel a little bit like Delaware, though. Where I live is three hours, top to bottom. No mall. Like, there's like, one good mall that you have to drive really far for. It's like, not. It's kind of like this.
D
Right, Right.
B
But I can't wait to see the Hogs, y'. All. If you guys stay tuned, I'm. I think I'm gonna go see the Hogs. Okay, so I want to get started with how did the Netflix documentary come about? Who did they reach out to? How did that even get into the works?
D
They reached out to you before me, Right.
E
Three or four years ago. I think they. They were touching base and trying to email me, call me, and I think they might have did the same thing with Stephanie, but I just wasn't ready to talk about it. And really, I mean, it just. It was too, too soon after it happened, after the trial, and I wasn't ready to open up about much of nothing. And then I think they had tried to contact me and him were the
D
last ones to do it, because, like he said, they kept asking, asking, asking them if they, oh, okay, we'll leave you alone for a little bit. Then it'd be two weeks later. Are you ready? And they had done. Came down here and done everybody else.
E
I think they. We were the last ones. Our. Look, my mom, them, me, my neighbor, they done. They done interviewed everybody else. I guess they're just waiting on us to either give them the go ahead or make it without us. One of the two.
B
I don't think it would have been what it was without all three of you guys.
D
Well, Reagan's mom had said if we didn't, like, she didn't pressure us into doing it, just said, don't do it if you're uncomfortable with it. If we didn't do it, they were just going to use somebody else to read court documents on our part. So she wanted us to be able to tell it, you know, because we were there.
B
Right.
D
And somebody just reading court documents. But they were doing it regardless.
E
Yeah, that's the way they presented to me. They was like, you know, we would like for y' all to tell your side of the story. If you. If. If you don't want to participate, don't want to talk, it'll be some stranger telling what you went through and what I said. No, the hell with that. I'll. I'll. I'll tell, you know what. What we all went through or what I went through, I don't want somebody else telling my story.
B
So, strange enough, I had seen the story kind of unfold on TikTok, I think, like a year or two ago, before Netflix ever was even.
C
Rotten Mango.
B
Yeah. And so I didn't know that there was ever anything in the works. And so when I was looking it up this morning, I didn't even realize that this. This happened 20, 20. This is like 6 years old.
E
Years old. Yeah.
B
Okay, so this has been in the works for some time then.
C
Right.
B
And before we started recording, Wade, you were saying that you interviewed for about five hours, but they ended up using few minutes of that.
E
Minutes. That's right.
B
Why do you think it was that they showed more of Stephanie and Cody than what you had to say?
E
I think they wanted to show that, you know, they. They had figured out her. Her lies and stuff, and they wanted to, you know, show people that was close to me that. That figured it out before I did, that I. That. That I wouldn't see in all the sign because I was living with her. You know, I think they showed maybe more of them because they were on the outside looking in, and they. They seen more about what other people might see. But when you live with somebody like that, you don't. You don't see that kind of stuff. You don't never portray that somebody would ever do that, you know?
B
No, I agree with you. I've actually gone to about gone to bat for you about it because I think the way that it happened so fast and maybe you guys could recognize it now or, or maybe you even did then, is like, when you're in the eye of the storm, you can't see what everybody else sees. And because of how fast the relationship moved, I mean, I've been in relationships where I knew the people and I didn't have sex with them for three, four, five months. Right. Like, sometimes you go through that in relationship. And so that wasn't a red flag to me at all. And because you guys were so new before she got pregnant, it's like maybe she was uncomfortable, like, you know what I mean? So, to me, I. I didn't see what everybody, like some of the comments that I read online. I'm like, wade isn't stupid. He's also in the field working all the time, so that also plays a part. And so I. It just. It kind of irritated me that people, I. I feel like, almost attacked you for what she did, and I don't appreciate that. So, like, looking back, who do you think, out of the three of you was the first one to, like, this isn't adding up. Was it you, Stephanie? It's always the women. It's always the women.
A
It's just me.
B
But then from the Netflix documentary. I. I think I remember. I kind of gathered that. But then, Cody, you're kind of, like, wanting to be more optimistic about it, right?
D
I wanted out of it, but he really wanted in it. You know, he wanted the tea, but he really didn't want the tea. Yeah.
A
Yeah.
B
No. And so at what point did you kind of come around to being like, okay, this isn't adding up?
C
Well, whenever she started, like, I don't know that, like that first line, you know, about the gameboard and stuff, I believed.
B
The what?
C
Well, where she said she paid the game warden off, you know, because I. You know, you're not supposed to have wild hogs or whatnot. I wasn't supposed to.
B
What's a game warden?
C
Game wouldn't. Law, gaming, fish, police.
E
That's.
B
You know, what do they do?
C
They're just, like, for hunting and stuff and fishing. That Right. You do. You got to go by the laws. Yeah.
E
Rules when you hunt.
D
Yeah. They got more power than anybody.
B
So she. So Taylor told somebody she paid them off.
C
Right. So. So what? It was the game. Warm. Drove by the house or whatnot, and he stopped or whatnot. Then, I don't know. Steph called outside. Yeah. She called me. I was like, oh, my gosh. This game ones, you know, or driving by the house and stopping and looking back there, and you're at your hog pin and stuff. And I was like, well, I was working for Wade. And I told Wade about it, and he was like, oh, I. Probably nothing. Well, I guess he told Tyler then. I'll be. I'll be damn. Tyler come over. I was like, oh, I paid him fifteen hundred dollars. You ain't got to worry about it no more. I even got her. He didn't give me a receipt.
E
No.
D
And then he tells me, and I'm like, okay, Cody, really, I love you so much. Even know what game warden it was?
C
Yeah.
B
Oh, there's more than one?
D
Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm like, how does she know which one it was. Did she just call and say, hey, who drove by Cody and Stephanie's house looking at the. Okay, I'll pay you $1,500 not to give him a ticket?
C
And that kind of threw me off right then.
D
I was like, no, she's got money. Like, she. That so.
B
But nobody paid off the game warden.
C
No, that burned lies.
B
So that was the. That was what raised the red flag for you?
D
Yeah, just a little bit.
C
Just a little bit, though.
D
Just a little bit.
A
Okay.
C
I mean, you know what I mean? But then Steph started figuring more stuff out, and I'm like, you know what? Damn. Some gun is a lioness on the gun, you know? Like, what are we doing?
A
Okay.
B
And so how long was the relationship from start to finish for you?
E
I'd say maybe 14, 13 or 14 months from the rodeo kind of talking. And until she moved in and then followed up with the I'm pregnant coming about January, February of 21.
B
Okay.
E
And then it lasts till, you know, October.
B
Okay.
E
Of 21.
B
And everything moved fast. She was. You and her. Did you guys. Did she kind of push her way into your life a little bit? Like, was, like, kind of over the top with you? Yeah, because that's what I gathered from the Netflix, but I wasn't sure if that was just because of the. The way.
D
Yeah, she. I meant just like me and you were sitting here talking. She was very nice, outgoing, and you know how girls can be when they get around other girls. You can't. Some of them are. But she was not like that.
C
Right. You could make a friend with her week, you know what I mean? Yeah.
B
So that's why y' all all trusted her, because she was super outgoing, friendly. It wasn't kind of standoffish.
D
Oh, no.
E
She never met a stranger.
C
Never met a stranger.
B
Okay.
C
Had a good personality, you know?
D
Oh, yeah.
C
I mean. Yeah, that's what. I don't know if she. I guess she had multiple personality allergies. You know what I mean?
A
I recently got diagnosed with celiac disease, and I didn't even know that. Absorption can be an issue, and sometimes celiac can cause that. Right. And so I was getting my iron looked at, found out I was never really absorbing my iron, and now I have a solution for that. Okay. The absorption company is singularly focused on solving the biggest problem in supplements, which is low absorption. Okay. So, yes, I have an extra. Another added layer. And while it may not solve that, it is a piece to the puzzle, which is nice because most supplements absorb less than 16% meaning over 84% of the supplements we are taking are completely wasted. Which if you're like me right now, you're trying to budget, you want to get more bang for your buck and also don't want to take supplements that are doing nothing for you. The absorption company will help, so they use cutting edge technologies to make supplements with pharmaceutical grade absorption up to 149 times better than the standard supplement. Okay, and absorption is one of the that affects all others. No matter how powerful the vitamin D is or the Magnesium or the CoQ10 or any other supplement could be, it only works if it absorbs. So keep that in mind. So whether you're looking for WLP1, magnesium, berberine, CoQ10 or dozens of other science backed supplements, start taking supplements your body can actually absorb. Go to absorb more.com and enter famous at checkout for up to 35% off your first order. That's absorbmore.com and enter famo us at checkout for 35% off your first order.

by Grainger for the ones who get it done. So prior to getting pregnant, did you know about all these like health ailments and Ms. And all of the things that she supposedly had or. No.
E
She told me about a couple things, but it just kind of went in one ear, out the other because it was like I wasn't looking. I wasn't really paying attention to something that happened in her past that, you know, I was just like, you know, you've been healthy the whole time you've been with me. I don't really see, you know, anything. No problem or nothing. But she had mentioned some stuff. She'd been the hospital or she might have had a stroke. She claimed that that was one of the reasons she didn't have custody of her youngest son was because she had a stroke early on and her ex husband ended up getting custody of the child because supposedly she couldn't take care of her oldest daughter and her youngest boy. So that's why, you know, her oldest daughter lived with me, and then Taylor lived with me. But the boy just come for visits, you know, visitation or whatever.
B
One of the biggest questions that I've seen online and people have asked me to ask you guys is what the situation was with her other two kids. So she had two kids, two different dads. Okay, so. But she did have custody of the oldest.
C
Yes.
B
And where was that dad?
E
I never. Never met him and never really heard
B
much about him, so he's completely out of the picture. Where is she now? That the little girl?
D
I don't know.
E
I think she's with the mom.
D
I think Tyler's mom.
E
Yeah, I think she's with the mom because whenever the mom come to pick up the rest of Tyler's belongings in her car, a couple weeks after all this went down, she. The daughter was with her, and then they got the rest of her stuff that was. That was needing to get back to her, you know, that didn't need to be in my house no more.
B
So then you got visits with the little boy, and then is he with the dad now?
D
I guess he's always lived with.
E
Yeah, he's always been.
C
Yeah, he's always. Always live with his dad.
D
But, see, she told me the reason she didn't have him. Same thing. Wade said she had a stroke, was in the hospital. Another thing that I told Cody, and she was like, I woke up, and a judge is sitting in my room, and he made me sign over rights because he said I was not medically fit. And I said, a judge came up,
E
so I never heard that part.
B
She told me that we're learning new things.
C
I remember telling Steph that.
B
Yeah.
C
Yeah, that was wild. Like, Joe's gonna come up in your. In your.
D
Yeah.
C
Room, get you to sign some paperwork.
D
He drove all the way up there and had the paperwork and made her sign it.
B
Is her family from Mod as well now, say?
D
We.
C
I.
D
She's a lot younger than I am, but I did not know her. Her family or anything prior to her.
C
And wait, what next county over there?
E
Muslims in Naples and Marietta. And then I think her mom is from the area, but she don't live in that area. But all her grandparents stuff, they're over in Naples, Omaha area.
B
And so what. What is your relationship like with her family during all of this time? You kind of were cutting them off slowly as she was telling you information.
E
Well, what's weird is we went to Thanksgiving with her family. Nobody said a word. Nobody opened up about anything. Even went to Christmas. And the first impression of her mom. I hadn't seen her mom, didn't know what she looked like. But I was already getting some of the messages. I was. Taylor was kind of telling me that the mom didn't like me being around.
C
That was about when she come back alive, wasn't it?
B
Come back alive? What do you mean?
D
Yeah, her mom was dead until Wade showed up at Christmas. And.
B
Yeah, you're lying. What do you mean? She told you all that her mom was dead?
E
Said that my mafia was after all the mafia was after Tyler over the
C
money, then killed her mom.
E
Yeah.
B
So how did she explain that her mom was not dead?
D
She.
E
I really.
A
This is not. You guys are pulling my legs.
C
No, no. It was so many lies. I'm telling you, if she was talking, she was lying.
D
What she told me was her mom killed herself in jail.
E
Yeah.
D
And she got. Her dad called her and told her, your mom is dead. She got killed in jail. So she said she's calling all these hospitals, trying to figure out where her mom is. She can't find her. None of the hospitals around here had her. Anyway, it ended up being the mafia. Or somebody got a message to her dad lying about it, and it was over money, and they were trying to hire a hitman to go after Taylor. So her mom set all this up. And then Wade shows up at Christmas, and her mom's sitting there.
E
Hey, her. So her mom is. Taylor didn't get to wrap a few gifts in time.
C
We were.
E
We were rushed. So when we got over there, she said, let's go in this back room. Let's finish wrapping these gifts. Whatever. I know where some wrapped paper is. Went in there. She kind of closed the door, but it wasn't always closed. She went to wrapping the gifts. Her mom blows in this door, kicks the door in.
B
Taylor.
E
Renee, what are you doing in here? And I'm like, who in the world is this woman? And she said, that's my mom. And she just glares at me and then looks over at Taylor. It was like, you need to hurry up what you're doing and get in here with the family. And she slams the door. And I said, is that your mom? And she said, yeah, I'm. I'm sorry. And I was like, wow. She is exactly who you portrayed to be that you portrayed her to be, and she's alive. I said, what in the world is going on here. I. I'll explain. I'll explain later. I'm like, we're over here at Christmas and your mom's here.
B
Your mom is alive. Wait, so why didn't this come. I don't remember any part of that in the documentary.
C
Oh, there was so much left out.
E
There's a lot that they couldn't include, literally.
B
I don't even know what to say about that. I wasn't prepared for that, so.
D
Okay, neither were we when she was alive. Yeah, we weren't prepared.
E
Wade's life.
B
Okay, so do you go and tell Cody and Stephanie? Like, did you after you told Cody?
E
I think I told Cody at work.
B
How did you. What did you say? You said, and Taylor's mom's alive.
E
Pretty much. I was like, hey, she's alive and well.
B
And what did you say? What was your reaction to that?
C
No, I don't want to know.
D
I have no words. Okay.
C
Oh, yeah.
B
So then she tells you this whole elaborate, intricate story, and you kind of move on, and then do you ever see her mom again?
E
No, not. Not until she comes and picks all of her stuff up from my house after she was incarcerated. That's the last time.
B
The messages that you guys or I. Did you guys all get messages from her mom or just Wade?
D
This one.
B
So you got messages from the mom. Was this before she was alive or was this after you found out she was alive?
E
Pretty much afterwards. I think I might. I was getting some emails through, like the oil company and stuff, pretending to be over overseer of the oils and. And the whales. But it was all tater and third person just making up stuff and then emailing me or text messaging me. Bank, bank ladies calling me. And it was her on this in the spoof app, you know, pretend to be an old lady talking about, hey, Wade, you're. You're in taters joint account. Y' all should be expecting so much on this whale at this certain day. That's where all the. The truck and the. The side beside and all that stuff was kind of coming into play because, I mean, at the time I didn't. I wasn't in debt with nothing. All my stuff was pretty much paid for beside my house. I didn't hardly owe anything on nothing.
B
So you were not in debt, and
E
I wasn't in debt at all. And I didn't need. I mean, she was throwing this stuff and every time we. She would come and eat with Cody and Stephanie, she'd be bragging about getting so much from this well or she's going to get so much land. It was like she pretty much forced push this stuff on. I mean, we, we live comfortably. It's not like we're needing any kind of money for anything. It was like she pushed this on anybody that hung out with her about how much she was getting or, well, you know, if you're friends with me, you know, we'll be living in luxury and this and that. I'm like, I don't really need to live in luxury. I'm happy the way I am.
B
Things are good.
E
But if you, that's just, I guess that's the way she wanted to move is, you know, if you're friends with me, you know, you, you know, you'll be getting some inheritance or this and that. That's pretty much kind of how all that.
B
Did her family have money? Like, did somebody have money? Was, Is there money in that family?
E
Who, who knows? But I mean, they like what she's talking about? No, they all, they all, they do have oil and gas wells on the. All along Red river because, I mean, we all, anybody that's ever hunted around there, fish around there. There's a lot of land up and down the river that's got oil and gas wells, and a lot of her family has, has a lot of that. But who knows? I mean, who knows how much money they had? And that was another thing. Me and her weren't married, so I didn't ask her financial stuff. We were boyfriend and girlfriend. It wasn't my business what she was getting from grandma or what kind of inheritance she was getting because I had my own stuff to worry about. We weren't.
C
We.
E
I mean, we weren't.
C
No, we're still not new.
E
We were fresh in a relationship. I'm not fixing to say, well, let me see your checking account, or let. I want to know what's in there. I wouldn't like that. I could care less.

I do feel really bad about how you were portrayed on that documentary. What was Yalls reaction to how he was portrayed on there?
D
Well, I'm like him. I wish it could have all been said. Kind of like what you're doing so people know because you know, they would bash him. Like, how do you live with somebody not know? Why didn't you yank her shirt and pull a shirt up? Why didn't you do this? Why didn't you do that? I meant me and him even got blamed at some point saying, oh, if y' all would have just told the law that girl today. I'm like, you can't told them what though?

You know, I don't think anywhere unless you have solid proof. And it's not what you know to be true, it's what you can prove. So lying is not enough, unfortunately.
E
But like, I don't. I don't mean to interrupt you, but.
B
No, no, no, you're fine. This is y' all show, not mine.
E
The. A lot of people don't really. They, you know, they exactly what you're saying. Why didn't they come forth and this and that. But another thing in the back of my mind was like she just explained while to go. They didn't know her no longer than I had. So when they went to telling me, red, you know, way something's not adding up. And Cody would come to work with me. I'm like, man, y' all don't know her no more than I have. Why would I believe. Why. Why would I believe y' all over my own girlfriend that I live with, right? I'm going to take up for her, right? And that's why I kind of shunned my own mom. Because, like, I was. I took up for her. She was my person.
C
She was.
E
We were in a relationship. She was telling me she's carrying my child. I mean, I had no reason not to believe her. A lot of people would tell. Why? Why? Just something just don't. Don't make sense. I'm like, well, y' all just don't want us to be happy is what it boils down to. And that's kind of why they got shunned, is because in the back of my mind, like, they don't know her. No, they don't know her family. They don't. They've met her the same amount of time that I had.
D
But every time we would tell him something and he would, like, confront her, she would have a document or an email and something to come to the clinic. Here. Here's a piece of paper. It said, this is confirmation. Taylor Parker is such and such weeks pregnant. She'd already have it typed up, put in her purse, go in the clinic, come out. But she would take his boss's wife
B
with her to, like, prove it or
D
to have, like, a witness to the clinic. Well, did you go in now this Covid.
B
So I also don't think that they really said that in the documentary that I can remember, like, the COVID time fr. And I mean, kind of, because I think you went to. But it was such, like, a small. And people don't read, so, you know, people aren't really truly listening. So there was one part where you, I think, mentioned that you went to the doctor with her, but she said the doctor had an emergency. I have seven kids of my own, and I have had that happen to me. So I was like, it's not. When you put it all together in hindsight, Obviously, hindsight is 20 20, but in the moment, you. You're like, okay, it's Covid. There could have been another birth. The doctor had to, like, I get it. But. So throughout all of this, did Yalls friendship kind of dissipate? Then, like, did you guys not be friends anymore? Or what did that look like for you guys?
D
All quit talking to each other? I mean.
C
I mean, we just. I don't know.
E
We just pretty Much. We quit talking.
C
Do I know.
B
Did you. Ever since. Ever since I watched that. That documentary, all I say is do what?
E
Do what?
B
And he laughs every single time I say it. Did you still work Wade, but not talk, right?
C
Well, I mean I had to because he's my boss, you know, I mean, but other than that, work. No, we didn't. We quit hunting together. We.
E
We just.
C
I don't know, we just.
B
For how long?
C
His way and I don't know, for three. About three months. Four months before that was. Right.
D
She did about five months.
E
But when a lot of thing the documentary didn't really portray on it. It portrayed me to be a hog trapper. And that's all I did.
B
So I was going to ask.
E
I was. I was a supervisor over the maintenance department at the. At a roof implant in danger field. That's why I was always gone trapping. Don't keep me away from the house. I can, I can trap whatever I want to. That was just a hobby. But me and Cody work for a roof and plant that, that, that plant has to be running all the time. Roger kept me out there so much that I was away from Taylor. I mean almost all the time besides maybe a day or two on the weekend.
B
Oh, like full days?
D
Yeah.
B
Like you weren't coming home every night?
E
Yeah, I was coming home. But it would like. There wasn't no time to argue about so and so or about a message that her grandma might have sent me that she was portraying to be grandma. I didn't have no. I didn't have the energy to argue or ask questions. It was like, how was your day? Your day?
C
Good.
E
She had dinner, cooked, I ate. I went took a shower and I went to bed. I was tired because it was sometimes after Cody had done left, Roger might make me stay out there 12, 14, 16 hours. And I'm like, I don't have. I don't have the energy to come home and argue or, or whatever. I said I'm just ready to go to bed.
B
Okay, so that also is an important piece then because I feel like I was. I talked to Stephanie. I'm like, I can't wait to see these freaking hogs. I thought this was yalls full time job. Like I'm like, do y' all eat them? What do you do with them? I called my, my friend who's a big hog hunter. I said, you got to come to Texas with me. We're gonna go see these hogs. And then I talked to Stephanie and she's like, well, she's like, hold on, because it's like. So I thought you guys were just hog hunters or hog gather. What do you them just hunt them or whatever?
C
You got a buying facility, sell them down there.
B
Okay. So there was a part of the documentary too, where not just Roger was. Yalls are. Do you guys still work for Roger or.
C
No, no, I.
E
They got. I was on salary and they pretty much got rid of me because they said I violated my FMLA rule. The two weeks I took off for, you know, to get ready for her to have the child or whatever. Since she didn't have the child, they said that I violated my. My time off.
B
But you thought she was having the child, right?
E
I mean, I had done told them. I said, hey, you know, I'll send y' all pictures and this and that, you know, and they're like, you know, we're excited. Just be your first kid, you know, Let us know how everything's going. Let us know we can help you with anything. But Roger wasn't in the picture at the time. It was just, you know, Cody kind of knew, but I think he know we weren't really talking. So I was just telling, you know, like, HR and everybody above me, you know, that I'm gonna take off because she's getting ready to be induced or whatever in the next week or so.
B
So Roger in the documentary, and I want to say his wife as well, talked about feeling the baby move. Is. Do you know if there was like. Like an electric fake belly or something? Like, is there something that would have made the baby move?
E
No, that was. They. They was touching her real belly.
D
She was doing.
B
What does she have, guys?
E
I have no idea. But I. I felt this. I mean, I felt the same thing. I mean, we was all over together. I mean, we'd eat over at Rogers Angels every Sunday. And this is. This is probably four months in. Four or five months in.
B
So she was just kind of like
E
making a little bump. I mean, I guess. But I mean, she wasn't just the skinniest petite girl. I mean, she was a pretty girl, but she. I. I mean, I guess she. She kept her stomach poached out the whole time. I mean, at that. At four or five months in, you know. And then whenever, like you said, Roger, Angela, both would touch her belly and was like, oh, yeah, I can feel it moving in there.
B
So she was doing something, right?
E
She was doing something.
B
Did y' all ever find a fake belly anywhere?
E
No, I never. I never.
B
Did you think she ever actually wore one or did she just.
D
Oh, she did.
C
She did.
E
She had to have wore one. But I don't know what she's.
D
When we got. When I got interviewed after it happened by the D. A and all that, they. She did have them, but where'd they go?
B
Maybe she burned them or something. Because how do you dispose of that? I didn't even know you could. I thought they only use those in, like, movies, you know what I mean? Like, I didn't even know how she
D
came up with half the stuff she did.
E
Just like they never found her clothes that she wore that morning. They never found. Never found Reagan's cell phone and never found the baby belly. Fake baby belly. So I don't know what she. I don't know if she tossed him in the river them in a dumpster somewhere. They never found it.
B
Oh, my gosh. How did you guys become friends again after all of this? And at what point did you guys become friends again?
C
Oh, it took.
D
Or you went over.
C
Yeah, I went over the data. All this. Well, I don't know if it's the same day or something.
E
Next day or the week after I
C
went over, I went over to his house, whatnot, and met with him.
B
From what I saw, she's. She rest in peace to Reagan unalived her and was driving with the baby to Oklahoma. Was that right? She had sent you away to go do something with the hogs. And then when you get called, what. What are you being told?
E
So when she calls me on the phone, I'm sitting there at the. At this. At the gate, this high fence ranch that's supposed to be buying my hogs that I've been texting all morning. Tell him, you know, have them certain hours away, this and that. And he done text me the day before, but it was Taylor texting me from. From a 580 area code number where everybody knows that's Oklahoma 580 area code. He dropped me the pin to his ranch, told me his name, said, I'll be waiting on you about 8:30 or 9. Well, that's about the time that she called me. And we're sitting there kind of going back and forth about, hey, I didn't. I didn't order no hogs this morning. I'm like, I've got. I don't know how, over 100 head back here on the trailer. And I'm four hours from my house, and I've been talking to y' all morning, texting you, and you tell me you don't need my hogs now. And then she calls me. It Was like, it just perfect timing that she called me right in the middle of all this. This scheme that I'm trying to figure out who in the world sent me up here. Rang a few times, went to a boy, he said, that's not my number. So then he called me from his real number. And I'm like, I don't even have your number saved in my phone. And then that's whenever, you know, she calls. And I'm like, hey, I'm. I'm trying to. Let me get these hogs figured out. And then I'll call you back. But then the trooper calls in about five minutes after me and that guys, you know, work out what we're going to do. The trooper calls me and he's like, hey, Wade, this is trooper so and so I'm here with Taylor and the baby or whatever. He said, can you meet us at Idabel Hospital? That's where we're headed. I said, yes, sir.
B
Where is that?
E
Maybe like 20, 30 minutes from decaf because she got pulled over.
B
So you're four hours away from home. Where is the hospital in relation to where I'm at? Yes.
E
Maybe two and a half.
B
So she was two and a half hours away from home when she goes into late when she has this baby.
E
She was maybe 20 minutes.
C
So she was in New Boston. Reagan was in New Boston. She went from New Boston, got pulled over by the state trooper and D cab for seating. Right. So decap to Idabel ain't but about 30 minutes. But where Wade was at, Wade was up north. Oklahoma. Way up north in Oklahoma. Four hours from. From New Mall.
D
She sent him far away so she could go do what she needed to do.
E
But if I come straight down, I would intercept Idabel before I get home.
B
Okay?
E
You see what I'm saying? So I was closer to Idabel Hospital than I am from Bent at my actual house.

B
so you don't know why you're. Be like, they don't tell you anything. Just. Can they. Can you meet them?
E
Pretty much, yeah. I. I said, you know, how's the. How's the baby? Or how's Ty? He said, well, we can't give you no information on the baby, but how soon can you meet us at the hospital? And I said, I can be there if I drive really fast, maybe in about two and a half hours. So he said, just. Just meet us there as quick as possible.
B
And where are you two in all of this? Do you know what's going on? Do you know?
D
Because we weren't, you know, y' all
B
were not talking at that time. Okay, so you guys don't know what's going on? Got.
C
Well, not that early. I mean, when did you find out all that happened?
D
When my mom called me.
C
I was upriver. We had a little bow camp or whatnot. I was up river hunting and stuff, and I. You ended up calling me that evening or what, not telling me about it.
D
His mom called me because me and her kept talking when we weren't talking. So she would call me and be like, well, we're another week over. You know, she. Wade's house caught on fire. There was a bomb threat at the. The day she was supposed to be induced. There was a bomb threat at the hospital.
B
Was there really a bomb threat?
D
Oh, yeah. She called it in on her little burner phone.
B
Did she get charged for that? Oh, but you guys know it was her?
D
Oh, yeah.
E
They already know. They traced it to her, yeah.
A
Oh, they did?
D
Yeah.
B
Okay. Your mom calls Stephanie and tells her what's kind of going on and how far. How long until. Cody, you talk to Wade then? Because I would imagine they called you in for questioning. I saw some of it on the NETFLIX documentary. But how.
E
A day or two later, I had to go to Boston and. And question with one of the police officers, and then the Texas Ranger.
B
Did they think that you were in on it?
E
Now, the one that was showed on the documentary, that was like, the day of. That was right after I. I went to the hospital. They detained me. They took me in there, and then that's whenever he pretty much was telling me what had happened and what Tater did. And my reaction is more or less I was in shock, but at the same time, I was pissed off because I'm like, this whole time she has it all made since she's been lying this whole freaking time.
B
Did you get to talk to her? After that?
E
No.
B
You never saw her again?
E
Not until court. Two years later, pretty much. When we all got.
B
You all went to court, did you all testify?
E
Everybody, My mom, Liam. I don't know how many other friends are.
D
There's a lot of people.
B
Was there more information that came out in court that even the three of you didn't know?
D
Well, we couldn't be like in there.
C
They would.
E
Yeah, we couldn't.
C
If.
E
If you went to. Was supposed to be on the stand. They did not want you being in any of the previous days coming up to. They didn't want you being there at all. So we couldn't. We didn't really know what was going on, you know.
B
Did they ask you anything that you didn't know, like you genuinely didn't know?
C
Well, I kind of. We kind of went over it with her lawyer and stuff. She was going to ask, you know,
E
her lawyer asked some off the wall stuff.
C
See, I never. He never even asked sitting to ask me anything.
D
He asked me something and I can't remember, but it was one question. Question.
C
Yeah.
E
He tried to make me look guilty a little bit on just some of the questions. And I'm trying to remember some of the way he asked about why did you let Tater use your car or you know, why. And I'm like, well, my car was behind a locked gate down there by my dogs. I said, she swapped cars that morning after I'd done left.
B
I was like, she used your car to go take the. To go have the baby.
E
That's why. That's why Homer was able to come after my insurance company and do a lawsuit, because that's who I had insurance on my car. So since you used the car, they, you know, him and I guess him and his lawyer went after my insurance company. Been driving erratic or being negligence over the child being in the car.
D
I didn't know that they dropped it.
E
No, I mean, they had to settle and she's coming out to settle with him. But I mean, this is. This was 30 days after the trial is whenever the lawsuit. Everybody's been sharing that it's still ongoing. It's been four years ago. The lawsuits already been settled and over with. I mean, me and Homer's talked, you know, before. Before the benefit. I mean, we don't really have no bad blood or nothing. And I'm sure he was probably mad at me after the. After the fact. But I felt bad enough over the whole deal. That's why I want to do something for. For. For Kinley. But I don't I mean, I don't really hate nobody on her side of the family. I'm just kind of disappointed that nobody really would come forward, you know, and like, call me out or call me and be like, hey, Wade, you know, this is so like her. Just like her dad, for instance. Her dad was at the gender reveal. Her grandparents was at the gender reveal. Her dad even come. Did an interview at the roofing plant where me and Cody work as a maintenance guy. He wanted to be hired in as an employee. But Roger didn't think it was a good look because I was dating his daughter. But at the time, you know, me and. Me and him talked all the time. He never once said not one thing to me.
B
Did her dad know about the hysterectomy?
D
Yes.
E
Yes.
D
Yes. Her whole family did. They were at our house. We did the general reveal, the dad's
B
videoing, because that was a big thing, that her dad was there. Her mom wasn't there, but her dad was there. So then people were asking, maybe dad didn't know about the hysterectomy and only the mom knew.
D
No.
C
He had to yell, though, didn't she?
D
No, she had. She had already had. Both of her kids had been married.
C
Yeah.
D
I mean, she wasn't. How old was she when all this happened? 20. What?
B
In her 20s for sure. Because I think, yeah, I wrote like 20.
D
But, yeah, they all knew. And her ex mother in law was at the gender reveal, and she was actually married. Taylor was married to her son when she had the hysterectomy. And she didn't tell us.
C
Right.
B
What? So has anyone offered an explanation for why they haven't told you guys?
D
She tried calling me. I was in nursing school, but she tried calling me and had finals that day. And I called Cody and she was like, I'm so sorry, I should have told you. And I was like, I don't have anything to say to you right now. Because all that could have been prevented. I mean, Wade standing. We're all there. Like, you could have said, Taylor. You know, let's go ahead and air this out. Tell Wade that you've had a hysterectomy. You can't even have kids. Why you got these people throwing a gender reveal?
B
Well, because online people are really upset that they. They feel like you didn't listen to the people that were around you, but they were saying kind of a lot of nothing. Like, it's like, oh, she's a liar. But nobody's saying flat out she had a hysterectomy.
E
I mean, the. These two were. Would, you know, come to the point to where I was like, you know, hey, Wade, something's. You know, we see this or you're not seeing it because you're living with her. So that was the point to where I was like, you know, y' all just don't want us to be happy no more.
B
But it was.
D
He was getting all those emails from her mom, like, which was Taylor, but she had an explanation for every single thing. And I meant emails.
B
The.
D
The phones, put mail in the mailbox, like she's getting mail from a lawyer, and this and this and this that she's done. So. And even when I said on that documentary, I told Cody, like, am I fucking crazy? Because we did the gender reveal. And then when we weren't talking, I had seen. She did the maternity pictures, had a baby shower. So I'm like, surely, maybe I'm. Maybe her mom is crazy. You know, I started doubting my own self. So I can only imagine how he felt.
B
I guess, like, my whole thing now, like, knowing what you guys are saying is just. People are questioning but not giving you something with proof, right? So obviously, I mean, I'm in a relationship, too, over a year in. And it's like, if someone came to me without proof, I'm. I'm also going to go to bat for them, right? Because just like you did without proof and paperwork with you telling me with absolute solid proof that she had a hysterectomy or something. I'm not going to listen to you.
E
It would have been better if a family member or her dad, her mom would have actually come to my house or found me at work and be like, wade, let me just let all out to you these two. I had pretty much just said, you know what? Y' all don't want us to be happy. Y' all don't know her no more than I do. If a family member would have come to me and just been like, hey, I know she's been doing it. She done did it to two other husbands in the past, or the previous husband that. That divorced her, he done did this. I did not know this at the time.
B
So she did this to other people.
E
The previous person before me, she has already did that. But when I would. Whenever they were telling me, you know, hey, something's not adding up, or whatever. Roger was. Was my boss. His office was right beside mine. I would confide with him about stuff that, you know, some so and so said this or what do you think? Think he would. He Loved her to death. Him and Angela protected her and took up for her. And he got on to me every time that I was like, you know, Roger, something's just not something don't really add up. He said, boy, he's, I'm so sick and tired of you thinking that girl's not pregnant. He said, come this, this date in September, you're, you're going to be, you're going to, you're going to have a child. He said, you just need to get ready. Ready. He's I'm tired of you coming to me every day and, and, and, and you not and you having doubts or whatever. He said, you just need to get ready. So I just pretty much to the point where I just quit bringing it up.
C
So he had Roger telling him this and you know, had me and Steph over trying to tell him this, you
E
know, and Roger prima shut it all down. He said, cody don't know what he's talking about, boy. He said, you live with her. He said, you know, she, that's your girlfriend. He said, just, but you know, that's, that's your woman. You need to, you need to protect her and take up her. I said, well I am, but Cody's been my best friend for forever, you know. And it was like he, I was in a, I was in a battle do I believe my own freaking boss that I worked for that I got this job or not to blame my buddy and his wife because they're coming to, you know, I was caught between, I didn't know really what to do. And then I had all these people message me and email me that she was pretending to be. I mean it was, this is every day
A
something that keeps me up at

Okay, so you learn later that she faked pregnancies in the past. Did you guys know that? Had you heard it?
C
I didn't know that she faked breaks before.
B
And then somewhere along the line she light somebody's house on your house on
E
fire Mine the week of yeah.
B
Did they ever find. So first of all, did it damage
E
the house pretty bad underneath? A little bit. But I mean, it was. It was fixable by the insurance.
B
Did they. Were they able to say how it. Like how she did it?
E
It said she used the. My mixing gas that I used for my weed eater and my. My weed eater and chainsaw. My mixed gas. It was found on the front porch over. Kind of hid by the. The cooker. And the inspector, when he come out there and inspected, he's like, why do you have mixed gas on your front porch when you don't have nothing else to put? I said, I keep that in a store to build. And he's like, well, there was a. A half. Half open can right here by your smoker or whatever on the front port. I said, I don't keep that there. He's like, I'm pretty sure it was. It was said intentionally, but he. He. He didn't show up until like a week after she was incarcerated. So then everything started making sense about. She actually did this intentionally.
C
Well, didn't she have a. Didn't y' all have a doctor for me that morning when way.
E
Yeah, that was the whole reason.
C
That was why she did it.
E
That was the whole reason of throw him off.
D
Oh, the house is on fire now. We can't go to the doctor day.
C
Exactly.
E
That was like.
C
That was one another one of the deals. Just like the bomb threat. That was another time they were supposed to go to the doctor or whatnot. And, you know, then she said, oh, we got the bomb threat, you know, so we can't go.
E
I really honestly think she was. She was trying to get rid of me in a way, because if she could get rid of me or just say, oh, my gosh, I ran out of the house. It was burnt. I wasn't able to say Wade. She could just say I was. I got stressed out, lost a child. Nobody would ever know nothing. She's. I miss I miscarriage. She had done drove this lie out for so long, she had to. She had to go through with something to say. Oh, you know, I'm. I have a baby or I'm bringing home a baby baby because she done towed this last so long. Same thing like with the Drano stuff. That's. That's been Ms. And Trino. Yeah. On one of our lives.
B
What about the Drano?
E
I found some in my. Underneath my sink, and then I found some in, like, a little low.
C
That's when we all got sick.
E
Bottle in my fridge.
B
You guys were poisoned too.
C
She come up like, bro, she brought cooked a dish and.
D
But she didn't eat.
C
She's the only one that did.
D
And I had been quit wouldn't she pregnant at that time that we all got sick? Wade?
E
I think so. She was.
D
So I was kind of questioning her every time she would tell me something like, oh, I'm having contractions about. You don't have contractions at four weeks pregnant. Say, yes, you do.
C
Stuff like that.
D
And I'm like, no, you don't. She's like, yeah, I'm on bed rest. They gave me medicine to stop contractions. I'm like, taylor, Taylor. If that was the case, nobody in the world would have a miscarriage. They could stop them all. Wait, so I.
B
Wait, wait.
D
Questioning her?
C
70.
B
Hold on, hold on, hold on. She told you she was having contractions at four weeks? So she knew she was pregnant at four weeks?
D
No, she. Right when she found out, she told me she was about four weeks pregnant. She wanted me to go to the. Her first doctor's appointment. But then she said that she was having contractions. So Angela took her to the doctor and she actually. Do you remember when she got the shot and Angela said that she fell. They went and ate at the Mexican restaurant in Naples, and she fell flat on her face because the shot made her so sick. And I'm like, so what I do you know, I called the hospital.
B
No, you didn't.
D
Yes, I did.
B
Wait, so you confronted. You confronted Taylor over and over?
D
Like, I would just at that time, I didn't know she had had a hysterectomy. Just the stuff like that. She was saying, I'm like, you don't have contractions at four or five weeks pregnant. And she's like, yes, you do. And I'm like, no, you don't.
B
Like, most people don't even know they're pregnant at four weeks pregnant. And you've had four kids of your own, so, you know.
D
Yeah, but it would just piss me off because she would make me. Me trying to make me feel like I'm stupid, like I didn't know. Oh, you didn't know that you could have contractions at four weeks? Yes. No, you don't.
E
What's odd is I told her early on, I was like, you know, I'm. I'm. I'm really thinking about maybe adopting one day or something.
B
You told her this, this is early,
E
early on, before she even tried to say she was pregnant. And she's like, oh, no, there's no need in that. I. I Can, I can still have a child? And I was like, well, you've already. You got two. I, I didn't figure you'd want any more. I said, I don't, I don't mind trying to look into adopting or whatever. She. Oh, no, I can, I can, I can, I can still have kids. But it was like she was very, very adamant about wanting to have another kid. Whenever I, I done mention, you know, I wouldn't mind adopting or something, but
B
you could adopt together and it could still be your child together. So it didn't. I don't understand. Why lie? Like, what you guys could, she could have. I guess I'm having such a hard time with the why.
A
Right?
B
And so I started looking online. I'm like, what is this? Is this a mental illness? Like, but when I looked online, it said, like, pathologically, lying is not necessarily like a mental illness. It can be connected to other mental illnesses. But I get, I, I just don't understand, like, just, even though lying about the mom dying or the money and. But you guys were content, why not just enter, you know, the relationship and be happy and be friends and like, it seems like y' all were a good group of people and you guys have good people around you. Why was that not enough? Why lie? To take things to the next. Like, what is it?
E
I never understood about the lies here. Like, we all got along. I don't understand. What was the point of forcing more lies on, you know, pretend about the money and about inheritance and, and I don't, I don't. I, I've never said.
C
They said she's been like that.
D
Yeah, I was about to say the, the girl that was on the documentary that went to school with her, apparently she's been that way her whole life. And when I finally reached out and got her mom's number when she was like, she's. Yeah, I was waiting on this.
B
Can we talk about that?
D
Yeah.
B
So how did I just for the people who maybe don't remember, for the documentary, you did get in contact with Taylor's friends from high school, the two friends that she. That were on the documentary.
D
The McKenzie.
E
Yeah.
B
Okay. And so how did you guys reach out? How did you guys get in touch?
C
Actually, his sister also talked to her aunt too.
E
Didn't.
D
Yeah. But his sister McKenzie had posted. So I wasn't friends with her, but had posted something on Facebook about being a habitual liar. Everybody, something about a friend goes by the name Taylor. Well, I had already been like, telling him and my sister in law, like, all the stuff that she would say that I know she was lying about. So she calls me. She's like, hey, you need to talk to her, like, because she's talking about Taylor and how she's a liar and this and this and this. So I had messaged her on Facebook messenger, and then she called me, and then it went from there. And we were like, oh, my gosh. She was the one that Taylor wanted her to be a surrogate or her friend. And they know she couldn't have kids, but. Yeah.
B
Did they ever tell you? Because I don't feel like we got real answers in the documentary. But did anyone ever say why they never came forward and said flat out she didn't get a hysterect or that she did get a hysterectomy. Did anyone friends, Anybody? Like, nobody came forward and said, well,
D
when I asked the mom. Yeah.
B
At what point was this.
D
Was it after the gender reveal? It had to be shortly after that because that's when I called Wade and I just talked to her mom.
C
Yeah.
D
It was because she just kept coming up with all this other stuff. So I asked her why she would not tell Wade that she's had a hysterectomy. Well, I'm not. If I confront Aunt Taylor or go over to Wade's house first, she's gonna have me arrested. Because prior to that, she had already, what, Called the law, acting like her mom had these hidden cameras or whatever around Wade's property. So she actually calls the law, and Wade's like, the mom's thinking, if she goes anywhere around Wade, Taylor's done made Wade think that she was a crazy person. Yeah. So she wasn't going to go over there because she didn't want to get arrested because Wade don't know that Tyler is doing all this.
B
So Taylor's the crazy one, not her mom.
D
Right, right, right.
B
Okay.
D
Yeah.
B
So she didn't want to further involve. So did. At any point, was Taylor's mom actually messaging any of you?
D
No.
B
So you finally talked to her after the gender reveal, and she tells you she had had his.
D
Yeah.
B
Taylor's mom tells you she has a hysterectomy. What do you do with that information?
D
You told Wade, but he's like, no, you don't understand. Her mom's crazy.
C
Crazy, Right.
D
Hey, she had all this.
C
Right? That's what a lot of people don't understand. She's brainwashing him, you know, saying, no, my mom's crazy, and all these kind of stuff.
D
Emails, like.
C
And then I'm trying to tell him, no, she's the crazy one, you know? Then he's like.
D
He said earlier her mom's, like, doing. She's emailing me saying all this business.
C
Yeah.
E
She's telling me the whole time, you know, mom is after me and don't want me in the picture no more because grandma is going to give you the.
B
Is going to give her the money, is siding.
E
Is siding with us and grandma's me a piece of property that Mom. Mom has always wanted. And mom does not. You know, she is after us every which way she can. She. If, If. If we're still in the picture, Wade, you know, mom is not going to be happy whatsoever. And we're not going to get this. We're not going to get that. So I'm just like, why. Why can't your mom just be happy for. And she's like, no, my mom wants everything. She just portrayed her mom just to be a horrible person, just a monster the whole time. So. So when Stephanie called me this information, I'm like, hey, you don't know her mom. I'm like, you know, Tater has not portrayed her mom to be the nice person to come. And I was like, she just feeling you full of bull crap.
B
So then you talk to the friend after that or you talk to the mom first or. Which. Who did you talk to first?
D
I talked to the friend first.
A
Okay.
B
She tells you that she also had a hysterectomy or no.
D
Yeah.
B
And.
D
But I don't know this friend either. So I'm like, I still got to get proof a little bit. You know what I mean?
B
Sure, sure. And. And still nothing. Like, everybody just goes on and. And that's it. Because you can't really do anything with it. Right, Right. There's a lot of discourse online saying that, Wade, you potentially stayed with her because you thought the money was always coming. Is that true?
E
No. The money pretty much went out the door, like, at the beginning of the pregnancy. The way that. The way the documentary kind of portrayed it, it made it look like. Because it kept bringing in Rusty Lowe, bringing in the. The realtor and all that towards the end in. Because it wanted to ask him, I guess, what he thought about the deal. But that all went out the door maybe probably even before the gender reveal, wasn't it? We all. We all pretty much.
D
When she gave your family the card, when was that? Christmas.
E
That was Christmas time. That was Christmas. That fell through, like in end of January, February. Well, that's whenever she announced. Announced she was pregnant.
B
So when did you. When did you go? When was the rodeo where you met Taylor?
E
That would have been like in July of 19.
B
Okay. And then by February of 2020 was when she said she's pregnant. Right.
E
And we pretty much all was on the same page. You know, if there is an inheritance or if she is getting anything, she ain't getting nothing right now.
A
Okay.
E
So you kind of pretended to this and that. The. The land fell through, through from pretty much February to October there. We all knew there was nothing.
B
I don't understand how the viewers don't understand that. It wasn't just you guys that was bamboozled, right? It was the bankers, it was Roger, it was the realtors, it was all these people.
A
But I.
B
For me, I mean, I. I'm a chicken with no head on a regular day. For me, like, I can't imagine keeping all these lies straight and so good and so like the emails and the phone numbers and keeping it all straight. I mean, I am. I'm awful liar so people can pick up on it. And so maybe that's why I'm also like, I don't understand how she didn't get caught or.
C
Well, Steph was Kitchener, you know.
D
Well, I was catching her, but she
C
was keeping up with all of them story.
D
Like, for instance, she had this tattoo right here, like this feather or it was something colorful. So, you know, I had asked her one day, I was at. What meaning? You know, because sometimes people get tattoos that mean something or they just like them, right? And I asked her, and she's like, oh. So I was in a terrible car wreck. And I went. She was like, what happened was me and two of my friends went out. My dad. I was staying with my dad. And he had said, if y' all drink, call me, I'll come get y'.
C
All.
D
Well, dad took pain pills that night and she kept calling him because they were all drunk. Anyway, ended up having a wreck. Well, she went through the windshield and all she remembers is being. Being airlifted and she was asking about her friends. Well, the friend in the back seat died.
B
Is this a true story?
D
No.
B
Stephanie, please, please.
D
No, it wasn't. None of it happened to someone else.
B
You're lying.
D
No.
B
How did you find that out?
D
It might have been her friend. One me and the friend that I contacted, we. After things were said, like, I would tell her stories and she was like. That happened to someone? Yeah. So the tattoo, she said her and the friend that made it got tattoos in remembrance of the one that died. Yeah. No.
B
Okay.
D
But she could tell you that story. And I meant look you dead in the eye, never miss a beat, never like stutter. You would think she was really telling the truth.
B
The interesting thing to me on this side of things, obviously I don't know Taylor from a can of paint, right? But like, she would have made a really good author. Like a fiction writer.
D
Oh yeah.
B
Like, I can't. Like, why not put that. I mean, I guess maybe people don't think like that, but I mean, the amount of stories that she could have made money off of being like a fiction writer and not bamboozling people and hurting people and putting people into debt and killing people, like, I just. Is heartbreaking to me. And I just. I mean, what. Where do you go from here? How do you even.
E
Like the. Just like the realtor, you know, on the. On the four or five million dollar property over there. He had. She had him so, so convinced. And he, he was on board for months because, you know, he, he looked very professional on TV and everything, but he was hooked. He can. He can say that he might have smelled a rat, but he was hooked because he was fixing to get a big lump sum of my money for selling that property commission. And, and she made it out to be. She'd sent him emails and follow up with. With, you know, all this and that and, and pretending to be Mandy Body. And that's the email name, that's the email person.
B
What was it?
D
Mandy Body.
E
That was the. That was the. The woman, I think over the. The oil account or whatever. She was messaging, you know, the realtor and tell him this and that.
B
How many phones did she have, do you guys think? Or was it just all done on one phone?
D
No, it was sa.
E
I think they get confiscated. Three.
A
Three.
E
Two or three.
B
I think I have no did. Has she tried to reach out to anyone since she's been in prison? Do you know if anyone. Has anyone gone to see her?
E
I think she tried to text me on a. Not since she's been where she's at now, but when she was in by state in Tershkana before the trial, she tried to reach out on a burner phone. And then I sent the message over to the D A and they was like, yeah, she had access to a computer. Computer where she. She has been able to have access to a computer or a phone and she probably just texted you on a burner phone.
B
What did she say?
E
I think it was online along the lines of, are you. When are you coming to see me? Or why haven't you Been to see me or something. I'm like, who is this? And then it was just kind of like feeding into, well, you don't know who this is? Can't believe you don't remember me. And I'm. I'm like, I don't know who this is. This is a. I don't have this number saved. And then they're like, well, just think about a pecan. And then you ought to be able to figure out who it is. And I'm like, that point?
D
Yeah.
B
Oh, is that the big $4 million property?
E
That was the, that was the name of the property, Pecan Point. And I'm like, okay, well, I know who it is. So I didn't respond. So then I screenshot and sent it to, you know, the prosecuting attorneys or whatever. And I was like, don't respond back to her. That's. That's her trying to. To communicate with you, I guess, through a burner phone or computer in the jail.
B
Did you have to get an attorney through all of this? Okay.
E
There was no. Really, no need to. I didn't really need one.
B
I just. How do you guys rebuild after something like this? I mean, someone was murdered. Actually two people. If you, you know, the baby. The baby was. And that was a whole other thing. Could the baby have been saved, do you think? Because it was like, what, a two hour drive she was in the car for.
C
They said it. They said they had a breathing in the ems.
D
Yeah.
B
And died at the hospital.
E
Yeah, I think it lost too much blood and like one. The. The doctor that said that she, you know, performed the C section all wrong. I guess if she would have performed it right, there might have been a better chance of survival, but I guess everything she did. Did.
D
Yeah.
E
Rose backwards. That she was, I guess, supposed to do a C section because I said she had done. You know, got on her phone and googled how to do all that weeks prior.
B
Stephanie, as a mom and as someone who was. Would you have considered her a friend at the beginning? At the beginning. What was your reaction when you found out, like the full blown details of everything?
D
Oh, I called him. I was like hysterically bawling, you know, but then I was thinking, what could I have done? But obviously there wasn't anything I could do. But I never ever still thought that she would done that. Right.
B
Like people thought that she was going to steal a baby, not.
C
I thought she was going to have a miscarriage. So she fell down the stairs or something, come up with this paperwork, you know, like she has on all the other things, and be like, oh, wait, had a miscarriage, you know, or something. Something simple like that.
D
Wait on him to go to work. And then be like, I lost the b. Like, I started hurting real bad. I lost the baby. And Wade be. You know, I'm just thinking all this stuff, and I'll tell Cody. I'd be like. And then Wade's gonna be like, well, okay, where's the baby? Well, I donated it. You know, science. Yeah. Or cremated it. Yeah, cremated it. And then bring a little ashes from fire pit.
B
From the hogs.
D
Yeah.
B
I just. Would you ever go see her? Would you ever ask her why?
D
You know, I'm kind of. No, I meant I don't want to see her. Don't get me wrong. But I still would like to just be like, did you really think you could have got away with that? And why did you carry some. Sent that that far when you just could have easily said. I mean, hell, just say you had a miscarriage.
B
Do exactly that. Like, fake something. Do the ashes.
E
I mean, that would have been. That would have been fine.
B
You were.
A
You.
B
It sounds like you were gone enough for her to be able to pull that off.
E
Yeah, she could have pulled that off. And that have been. I mean, it would have been hard about it. I'd have been. Heard about it because, like I said, I've been wanting to have a child, and she'd have been the first one, you know, that mentioned, and that's carrying one. But I got over it eventually. But it had been better than what she pulled in the long run. I mean, my God, has Reagan's family
B
reached out to y' all at all?
D
Yeah, I talked to her mom.
B
She. Is she doing okay? I mean, as she.
D
Yeah.
B
How can you be okay after this? I did see. And obviously, I'm not asking you guys to speak on anything that you don't know. I did ask. I did see some stuff online about Homer's new wife and some wild comments that she has been making.
D
We seen it, too. I don't know them.
C
I don't know.
B
I don't know what's true, what's not true.
D
Now, that I don't know.
B
But. And then I got a little bit of backlash because I had talked on a podcast episode about coming down here to interview y', all, and I had said that I hoped that now that the story was out, that maybe Reagan's family could do, like, merch or something in Reagan's name to collect money on behalf of their family. And maybe they had attorney I don't know. And people gave me. They ripped me a new one, saying, like, oh, my life revolves around money. And I'm like, no, no, that's. You misunderstood what I was saying, like, a little.
D
Did us that way with this shirt and hat. You remember that? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I want one of those hats. The whole thing was. It was. Somebody just, like, made it. I, you know, like, sent it to us, and we were like, you know, that was. Nothing about. This is funny. But it was kind of funny because how he says, do what?
B
Yeah, yeah.
D
I mean, so Cody got, like, bombarded with hundreds and hundreds of people wanting a shirt and wanting this hat. And Cody said, let's do it and give it to her little girl, you know?
B
Yeah, that's. That's more or less what I was
D
saying the same way, like, oh, I guess y' all now think that y' all are something. You know, you're trying to make money off of this. And we're like, we ain't got a dime off anything. I mean, we've been. We was born poor. We still poor today. I don't need no money off half.
B
Well, that's what I was trying to say was like, I mean, at the end of the day, Reagan still had another little girl. So that was my. It wasn't about making money. It was about to support a little girl who lost her mom and a family who probably had to pay for funeral services or probably had to pay. I don't know. I don't know what the situation was. That was more so where my kind of idea was, it wasn't to, like, capitalize off of it.
C
Right? We were just like, wade's got this bank, you know, benefit deal. And I even called Wade about it. I was like, man, you know, I'm thinking about doing that. And the money we make off, you know, selling those hats or shirts, you know, put it in there for, you know, little girl, whatnot, you know? I mean, it. I mean, I don't know. Then people started tripping out, but I was like, you know what? I just ain't going to jack with it.
E
That's why I had to. That's why I made a trust for Kenley's benefit, because I didn't want nobody else to be able to touch the money that is benefit to her. I don't want a family member thinking, well, we need to grab some of this, and. And, you know, we're having a hard time. We can always put it back. It is for her and her only.
B
Can you explain what this is what you did.
E
So I had a lawyer right out of trust that is only for Kenley Hancock. She can access it whenever she's 21. She can come. You know, she can had to have a trustee and a beneficiary on there. That's why we did the hog hunt. And because there was so much stuff going on at the time about, you know, well, if you do a benefit, so. And so is going to get a share of the money, you know, it won't actually go to Ken. So I wanted to do it to where only her can have access to the money. And they got it wrote up, you know, memo, lawyer.
C
She.
E
She suggested this, that, you know, when she turns of age to either get a car, that we can go up there and I can draw out a certain amount and give her whatever she needs, but she can actually have access to it herself until she's close to 30. Because she said by that time she don't think an individual matures.
B
Absolutely.
E
She said, I don't want to have her access to ungodly amount of money at only 20 years old. She said, you know, when she gets to be close to 30 and then. And she wants to have access, I think a person matures probably about 30, and then she might can say, well, I'm glad I didn't have it back then, because I'd have probably blew it on whatever in a car, you know.
B
Yeah.
E
So she's got topped up pretty good to where she can get a little bit out if she needs something for college and a car, but she can't have access to the whole dagum thing.
B
Absolutely. Where does the money come from? It comes from the hog hunt that you guys did to people that or
E
anybody can really donate. Donate to it. And that's what I'm going to work with Reagan's mom and dad about, is we're going to try to get it like a cash app or Venmo. If somebody wanted to donate whatever they can, we can link that up with the trust and it can go into that account. It's not like we have to say, well, I need this amount of Ms. Much Cash, so I can put in there. We can just link a cash app up, maybe put it into that account, you know, because the hog hunt, it was all just cash.
B
Could you do like an annual hog hunt?
C
Yeah, we're gonna do it every year.
E
We're gonna do it every year.
B
And then people would pay to do it. Right.
E
It took me a year to teams.
C
Yeah. So we have, like, teams like this year or, you know, we ended up getting second in the tournament or whatnot. You know, winning belt buckles, you know, collars for your dogs, you know, tracking collars and things like that. You know, you even win a little money. Like, we ended up winning money or whatnot and turned around and give our
B
money back to the trust.
C
Yeah. And put it back in the pot.
E
They got their belt buckles in the title that they won, but they donated their. Their cash money back. So that was some of the money that I got to put back into the trust. Trust, yeah.
B
And you just wanted to do that?
E
Pretty much. I mean, I've been, you know, I've felt bad ever since all this has happened, and it's just taken me a few years to figure out how I wanted to do it, how I wanted to what. What month of the year I want to do it in. Because there's so many other hog hunting tournaments during the month of February and January and March. So I had to pick when I wanted to do it where I wasn't interfering with any of my other. Other friends that put them on. I didn't want to do it the exact same weekend that another buddy or something doing, because that's a big deal. I guess in the south that there's. We got plenty of hogs and everybody wants to do competition with their dogs and stuff. And it's just kind of like a bragging rights, I guess.
C
Right.
E
And you can make some money doing what you like to do. So I just say, well, let's just do a benefit, you know, I do
B
want to check my Instagram really quick to see if I missed anything that people wanted me to ask you, y'.
A
All.
B
A lot of them is still. They don't understand how Wade didn't know. But I, like, I get it. I. I really. And also, I don't know. How old are you, Wade?
E
I just turned 40. I was 34 at the time.
B
And that was your first situation ever have potentially getting someone pregnant. And so you. And I think the biggest piece that was sort of missing was how often you were not home. Because that will play a huge part, in my opinion.
E
Like, they didn't really. They didn't really touch on what I was doing at the time. Time they. They did the documentary last year. So at the time, yeah, I did trap a lot because this was just last year. But at the time, you know, I was with her. Me and Cody was at the plant all the time, sometimes seven days a week if. If it wasn't running right. So she had all the time in the world to play on her phone and manipulate and. And do all her little scheming because I wasn't never hardly home much.
A
Much.
B
So there was a rumor online, and I don't know that it was in the documentary about. Well, the ex husband reached out to Wade, but before we started recording, you had told me that he never revealed himself. Is that true?
E
I don't remember if he actually said who he was behind the private message, but it was pretty much on the law, along the lines of, hey, Taylor's, you know, lying to you. She can't have kids no more. She's had this done this surgical. This. This surgery done. She's. She cannot have no kids. She's lying to you. But the way it portrayed it was like her mom was texting me, pretending to be, you know, the ex husband or something. And I'm just. So. When I told Tatter, but I said, look at this. Look at this message that I got today. And she was like, oh, that's my mom. She said she is trying her best to keep us apart and split us up. She said she knows that I can still have kids. She said, I don't know why she's trying to portray that. So it just made me believe, you know, it ain't nobody reaching out to warm me about nothing. It's just her mom, you know?
B
Okay, so the husband, the ex husband or the ex boyfriend or the exes at no point revealed themselves and said, I am Taylor's ex husband or Taylor's ex boyfriend. And this is what's going on?
E
No, never.
B
Okay, so what are y' all up to now? Did you. I hear somewhere. Do you own a cafe or you work at a cafe? Y' all own one? Well, are we gonna go eat there?
D
Well, look, we're not open today. I got you hooked up with the barbecue because we don't have barbecue.
B
Oh, okay. So we're gonna go eat barbecue. Is it. Is it the hogs? Because Stephanie said it doesn't. It doesn't taste very good.
C
Oh, no.
B
Do people eat those?
C
I mean, if you get sausage or whatnot, that it. That'll be.
D
No, we're not like. Like, taking you to Wade's house and going to open up and
E
not going to do that?
C
No.
B
Okay.
D
They're actually going to a restaurant that they have it all blocked off. You're not going to get bombard.
B
I don't think anyone lives out here, so I don't think anyone would. This is the craziest place I've ever been. I didn't know we were flying into Arkansas. Like, I didn't know it's on the line.
E
It's. I mean, like you got Tish Can,
C
Texas, Wall Cross, Black Top, Texas can, Arkansas.
E
That's why it's called Texarkana. It's Texas in Arkansas.
C
Right.
B
Oh my gosh.
E
It's split right down the middle. The state line is.
B
Okay, so we're gonna go eat and then. So what are you. What do you guys all do now? You work at the restaurant. Is that your full time gig?
D
Yeah, I'm a nurse.
B
Oh, you're.
A
That's right.
B
You did tell me that you're a nurse and you own the restaurant.
D
Yes.
B
Okay. And do you still work for the, the roofing?
C
No, I'm over at Tish Can Alexander Aluminum.
B
Aluminum, okay. And maintenance. Just to clarify for all the listeners, if you're listening, if you're watching, they don't do hogs full time. Okay. I thought this was like your bread and butter. You make money, you live and breathe, sleep these hogs. That's what I thought.
D
I love it.
C
Yeah. If we can make enough money to survive. Yeah, that'd be. That wouldn't. That'd be fun.
E
I mean, the, the contract that I have with the. With the processing plant down south, I have to supply them so many a month. Month. So I do the trapping through the hot, you know, hot days during the summer if they're needing us, so many during the winter time, they get flooded with so many. So I don't do it as much in the winter, but I still buy a fewer. We still do the tournaments and stuff to have some on standby. If they say, hey, we're short so many, can you send a trailer load down here? Or whatever. But the whole deal, I mean, I just, I do it on the side, but it's also, you know, a good little gig because who wouldn't like to do that all the time?
B
Well, I don't know that I would. Is there anything else that you would like to clarify to clear up rumors that you. You want to set the record straight for? Is there anything that you want to share that has not already been told?
D
Most questions you just get asked are how did you. You live with her every day. How did you not know that? Gets asked. That's why I quit doing, like I said, a lot of deals, I'm.
C
A lot of people didn't know that, you know that she'd always want to pick a fight with you. So you'd sleep on the couch and she's sleeping the bedroom and didn't know that y' all didn't, you know, oh, have sex for the last four months and things like that.
E
You know, we answered some of that, I think, on when we was going live. But, I mean, I have been. I have seen a lot of people ask the same thing, just about, why don't you lift her shirt up this and that. But it never come to the point to where I was that. That I needed. I had that many red flags that it was like, hey, you need to lift her shirt up just to make sure she's printed out. I was never at that point of doubting her, not one bit. There was some stuff that didn't make sense, but I wasn't drove to, like, you know, what she. She is. She has lied to me that I'm going to pull. And for one thing, I. I don't. I respect enough. I'm not just going to do that. You know, she didn't want to be touched during that time. So I was just like, well, maybe she's just being hormonal. I don't know. I've never had kids before. I just know by what Roger was telling me, you know, well, boy, she don't want to be touched or whatever. Just leave her alone.
B
You know, that's what I said.
E
She'll be. She'll be herself. But I mean, you can't. You can't sit on the outside and be like, well, if that was me, I'd have did that.
C
Oh, yeah.
E
I was in a different situation. You know, I. You can't say everybody would have probably did something different.
B
Absolutely. And I think it's so easy for everybody on the outside after the fact. Right. Like, they weren't in it in real time. And Stephanie, your mom, so you understand, I've been. I've had seven kids, so I. There have been times in my period, in my. In my period. There have been times in my pregnancies and times where I was not pregnant, where I didn't want to be touched. We didn't have sex for three, four months because life lifes. And sometimes you go through those periods in a marriage or a relationship or whatever. I mean, because then if you did lift up her shirt or you did question her, you did something like that, that could be seen as abusive.
D
Yeah.
B
So if you would have said that you tried to do that on Netflix, then it would have been like, well, how dare you put your hands on her when she didn't want to be touched.
E
The same Same reason everybody's like, well, how in the world could you go that long without having sex? Why would I, Why would I force anybody or push somebody to have sex with me during that time? What would that portray me to be exactly? I mean, I'm not fixing to force anybody to have sex, have sex with me. I mean, I can go without it. It ain't that big of a deal. But at the time, she would make excuses for like, you know, to, to be mad over the, you know, mom deal or emails or. So it was like if I questioned her about whatever it was another week of sleeping on the couch again or, you know, her standing. So we didn't hardly get to be intimate about anything that whole, whole three or four months leading up.
D
And then she told you that one time that she was just uncomfortable because she had gained weight, gained a bunch more weight because she was pregnant, didn't want way to see her.
E
You know, she was insecure over that. Yeah, she was insecure even before she got pregnant because she said she had the, the weight loss surgery, had major stretch marks and she, like, you know, we. She never even wanted to turn the light on whenever we did mess around or nothing because she was insecure about the way her body looked people. So it makes you do that. It made sense towards the end, you know, she didn't want to be. She didn't want to be me, see her naked whenever she was big and pregnant. So, I mean, I didn't, I didn't ask no questions. Let me, let me. I'm not an intimate kind of person. I'm not a, you know, lovey dovey kind of guy. So if, say.
C
That's good to the taste girl. Get over here.
B
Yeah, I feel like, yeah, I could get those vibes, like just that, you know, maybe you have to kind of dig deep to get into the core of Wade, you know, like not just her, but anyone. You kind of. You, you, you give that. Those vibes off. Not in a negative way, but I could understand it.
D
I know.
B
What about you guys? Do you have anything that you guys want to clear up or add or share that hasn't been already discussed?
D
Well, we did get asked a lot about why we never confronted her in person after.
B
Okay, words. But before you answer that, how often would you see Taylor in person? Because you guys were friendly in the beginning?
D
Whenever. I finally, she wouldn't. I tried to get her to come over one night and I made him go buy a pregnancy test.
B
No way.
D
Yeah, so he really went and bought one. So I called, and I said, hey, won't you and Wade come over and eat tonight? But I still swear to this day, she had my phone tapped. And I still believe that because every time I would get on the phone, it would click. I even called, like, AT&T, trying to figure out if my. You know, all this. But I had told him to go buy a pregnancy test. I called him, told him to get one on his way home, and he's like, oh, God, you know? And I said, this is what I'm going to do, because I'm going to make. Me and her and Wade are going in the bathroom. I'm going to make her piss on.
A
On it.
D
And then he's going, no. So I asked her to come over, and she said, oh, yeah, that'd be great. Well, she calls me back, and Wade's never even knew this till after all this. She's like, wade just said he's not coming tonight. Like he has a headache. He's worked really hard today. I'm so sorry. We're just not going to be able to come. But I swear, I know that she knew that I was about to do something, and I never seen her after that.
B
Are you serious? Where did that fall in the timeline?
D
We ended up getting into or not getting into it, But I, like, confronted about. I already know you've had a hysterectomy. This, this, and this. And she's like, no, just let me explain. It's my mom. She's, like, sending all these emails. And I was like, you know, how
B
far into the pregnancy was that?
E
For six months? Because it was after the gender reveal. Gender reveal was what, in April? Or was it April, or was it May?
D
Well, she.
C
Yeah, it was after Genderville.
D
Yeah. Yeah, it happened after that.
E
So it would have been. It had been probably four or five months, maybe six months, I don't know.
B
But she didn't end up coming over. Did you even know that y' all were invited over?
D
No, he did not even know about it.
C
I'm gonna say it because that's when we. That's when we kind of washed our hands. You know, we quit talking and all that. Because she had to be about six
B
months, so she wouldn't have. So you and Wade wouldn't have discussed it because y' all were kind of on the outs at that point, right? She was. I mean, she was kind of good at lying for a little while.
D
Well, then she made up to him saying the reason, because, see, I told her all that. Well, she didn't tell Wade That I had confronted her over the phone. I was trying to get her to the house, but she told Wade that we had a fallen out because. Because she did at one point, when she was the multi millionaire, ask how much we owed on our house.
B
Oh, yeah, because she was going to
A
pay off your house.
D
So she told Wade that I was
B
mad at her for not paying. For not paying it.
C
Right.
E
Because the money never kind of come through back when we were all real tight, you know, there we all kind of figured out there was a never know. She wasn't getting nothing at this time anyways. And then she used that. Well, Stephanie's just mad because I didn't give her that lump sum to help them pay off their house. Whatever. I didn't know if that's what it was because I never asked Stephanie or Cody about why are y' all mad or nothing. I just figured it was just I wouldn't listen to him, you know, I didn't know the. I didn't know the conversation her and Stephanie had had about the money deal.
B
So now just rebuilding, trying to keep going.
A
Right.
B
I mean, you guys have grandkids. You, I would imagine, maybe want to have a. A family with someone at some point.
E
At some point, yeah.
B
Yeah.
E
Like to.
B
Yeah, that would be. I think we do a dating show for you, Wade.
D
Hey, he does get a lot of people asking, are you single?
B
No.
A
I'm gonna vet them, though, for you
B
because I feel like we.
D
Me, Stephanie and Cody, you're probably too young. Love connection, addiction.
B
No. Yeah. I don't know what that is.
D
Yeah. Okay.
B
But I feel like we should vet them first. You know, like, we'll. We'll feel them out because I don't know you. And then they do. So it's like two different ends of
D
the spectrum now is probably thinking, oh,
B
you have a girlfriend now.
A
Wait, wait, you didn't say that you have a girlfriend.
E
I do.
B
Okay. How long have y' all been together?
E
Couple years, I think.
A
Years.
B
Are y' all gonna give me married? You'll see.
E
Yeah, we'll see what happens.
B
See what happens. Okay. Well, I'll leave it at that. I won't pry too much. Where can people find you on social media? Do you want people to find you guys on social media?

Host: Kail Lowry
Guests: Wade, Cody, Stephanie
Date: July 24, 2026
In this emotionally charged and revealing episode, Kail Lowry sits down with Wade, Cody, and Stephanie—the primary subjects of Netflix's "Maternal Instincts" documentary. Together, they candidly discuss the fallout of one of East Texas’s most disturbing true crime cases: the Taylor Parker/"Tater" case. This is a raw, honest conversation that answers lingering questions from the documentary, clears up misconceptions, and reflects on grief, betrayal, and healing in the aftermath of tragedy. Wade shares his perspective on being portrayed by the media and online, while all three recount the incredible deception that upended their lives, friendships, and community.
This episode pulls back the curtain on the emotional, logistical, and psychological manipulation at the heart of the Taylor Parker case. The guests’ resilience, regret, and hope are tangible throughout, and the group’s willingness to face hard questions head-on marks the conversation as rare for this genre. In clearing Wade’s name and offering fuller context, the episode is an essential supplement to the documentary—both a catharsis for the guests and a crucial service to listeners.
