With a renowned reputation for finding talent, his past newcomers have appeared on Collegiate Baseball Newspaper's annual lists of the top recruiting classes in the country. In his 13 years of collegiate coaching, Brown has helped produce top talent that has advanced to the professional level. Brown has had 93 players drafted, including 36 in the top 10 rounds. Justin is joined this episode by the Head Coach at Washington University, Eddie Smith. He has coached 19 players who have gone on to play in the Major Leagues including All Star and World Series Champion Chris Taylor as well as rising phenom Dylan Crews. Nearly every position player on LSU's 2023 and 2025 National Championship teams was recruited and/or coached by Smith during his time as the hitting coach at LSU. In total, Smith has been to eight NCAA Tournaments and four Super Regionals. He reached the College World Series in Omaha while coaching at Virginia in 2009 and 2011.
