This is Scott Becker with the Becker Business and the Becker Private Equity Podcast. Today's discussion is the Best Founders the best leaders really know their Own business. So when I get a chance to interview or advise or work with founders, work with CEOs to discuss business with people. The thing that I'm struck by is those people that are great at what they do really know what drives their own businesses. They don't have 100 key performance metrics, they have three to four. They know who their best people are, they know who their best customers are, they know who they can't live without, and they know what their best service lines are. In contrast, when I deal with with with people and I deal with leaders and they can't tell me who the best customers are, who their ideal customer profile is, who their best people are, how they're doing on cash flow, I know that I'm dealing with a CEO or leader that's not great or not where they should be. So at the end of the day, we view this as one of the greatest compliments I ever heard about a and again, it's not that I'm a fan of micromanaging, but one thing that was said about this leader gentleman was named Bruce St. John, a great surgery center operator back in the day. What somebody used to say about Bruce, he might have been in San Antonio, but if a 2x4 drops at his surgery center in Albuquerque, he knows that it happened. And it's not that you have to be that micromanaging. But it is so important that you know the key things in your business. Who are the people you can't live without? Who are the customers you can't live without? Which are the profit lines or the service lines that pay the bills? What's really important and what's not. Again, those are to me, the best founders, the best CEOs, those that really know their own businesses. They know what's important. They can almost put it to you in a NutShell. Here's the three things that really counts in our business versus being all over the place and babbling and dawdling and so forth. In that even thank you for listening to the Becker Business and the Becker Private Equity podcast. We hope you find this helpful. Thank you very, very much.
