My name is Mackenzie and I started a GoFundMe for the adoptive mother of a nonverbal autistic child. The mother had lost her job because she wasn't able to find adequate care for this autistic child. So she really needed some help with living expenses, paying some back bills. So I launched a GoFundMe to help support them during this crisis. And, and we raised about $10,000 within just a couple of months. I think that the surprising thing was by telling a clear story and just like really being very clear about what we needed, we had some really generous donations from people who were really moved by the situation that this family was struggling with. GoFundMe is the world's number one fundraising platform, trusted by over 200 million people. Start your GoFundMe today at gofundme.com that's gofundme.com gofundme.com this podcast is supported by GoFundMe.

This is Scott Becker with the Becker Business and the Becker Private Equity Podcast. Today's discussion is four thoughts and concepts for the week. And again, these are more as sort of guidance or things to think about every day and how you do things and in life. And hopefully some of this you like. The first one is small, simple changes can make big differences in how you approach something. Whatever you do, you don't always have to look for the biggest change, the macro, big thing. But some of the small, little changes can make a big, big difference. I certainly have seen this a lot. I love this advice. Part of this comes out of Guy Kawasaki's book. I'll give him credit for this, though. It's a regular concept. The second concept, and this is, I think, a good thing to ask yourself periodically, am I doing the best work of my career? Did I do something today that I could be proud of? What did I do to help somebody else? And again, you know, periodically I feel like I'm doing the best work in my career, period. Okay, don't think I'm doing the best work in my career. I'm always thrilled those days where I feel like I've really prepared for something well and really done a nice job. Not every day, but. But it's trying to get closer and closer to that point where you feel like you're doing the best work of your career. And we could say to yourself, there's something I did today that I'm proud of. And where I help somebody today. Did I help somebody? They did I not. Third, never underestimate the value of deep commitment to trying to solve difficult problems and the high quality. So don't underestimate the value of actually trying to do something really well versus trying to get through it. I love that concept. It's a constant reminder to me to push myself towards deep work versus just trying to get things done. So that's the third concept. The fourth concept is this. And I'm always reminded of Janice Piso, the CEO of UCL Health, when I talk about this. The most impressive leaders that I know are highly focused on the very core of what their organizations need to do. So Jenny Spiso reminds me, she's the CEO of UCLA Health. She always comes back to are we doing great patient quality work at UCLA Health? Are we really taking care of patients really well? And I love that mindset because so many CEOs talk about we're building this, this, we're doing this, we're doing that. She always comes back to quality and what is really being done well. And I just love that thinking. So again, those are four thoughts for the week. Four things to think about. I love this concept of small changes can make a big difference. I love this concept of am I doing my best work today or am I not? And what can I do to adjust that? So those are some of the things to think about. You know, are you really focused on the most important things? Are you all over the place? Again, focus. For someone like me, the constant discipline and focus to be focused on the most important things is critical. And we love these reminders. Thank you for listening to the Becker Business and the Becker Private Equity podcast. Thank you very, very much for listening.
