This is Scott Becker with the Becker Private Equity and Becker Business Podcast. Today's discussion is a rebound day. So. So here's the deal. Often when we talk about rebounding, we're talking about the stock market. Today, I'm talking about something quite different. Yesterday was one of those days where had the most horrendous eating day I've had in a long time. It culminated with fried chicken at dinner where I also had a couple bites of the pizza. Late night, someone in the house had baked cookies. I ate the cookies. I woke up this morning, I said, I found the cookies that obviously some kind of cookie fairy made. It wasn't a cookie fairy. It was actually made by somebody in the household. And, and, and the question I got was, and it's so rude, was, did you eat all of them? And of course, there are only five to begin with, but I guess I ate all the five sugar cookies. And honest, sugar cookies aren't even my thing. I'd much prefer chocolate chips or something else, but you got to go with what got you to the dance. We ate all the cookies the day. Yesterday was no better. Drink way too much coffee, which leaves me in a spot where I could be impossible as a person, and also just wanting to ravish every food that's around. And this is what we did. So yesterday was what we call an unmitigated disaster. But a hope is not lost today. So far, it's been a salad, it's been water butter. It's going easy on coffee. We are rebounding today to greatness. We're making up for yesterday's disaster. Today is going to be a rebound day. I don't know who has to hear this, but there's hope for all of us. Thank you for listening to the Becker Private Equity the Becker Business podcast. Still got to get through until I get to bed tonight, but let's hope for a good rebound day. Thank you for listening.
Episode: "A Rebound Day 11-10-25"
Date: November 10, 2025
Host: Scott Becker
In this candid and humorous solo episode, Scott Becker shifts the focus away from traditional business talk and instead discusses the concept of a "rebound day"—not in the context of the stock market, but as it relates to personal habits, self-discipline, and bouncing back after a less-than-ideal day. Through the lens of his own experience with overindulgence in food and coffee, Scott offers a reminder that every day offers a fresh start, mixing relatable anecdotes with motivational undertones.
Anecdote: Scott humorously recounts his previous day’s food decisions, including fried chicken, pizza, and late-night cookies.
