This is Scott Becker with the Becker Business Podcast and the Becker Private Equity Podcast. We bring to you daily business topics, investment topics, technology startups, AI and a lot more. Today's discussion is of course, one of the more ridiculous, mundane topics. The quote or the title is are you seeing two cups? So here's the issue and this is a golf podcast, so bear with me and I will tell you I'm very excited about a month to get to visit with Jack Nicklaus in person, who's one of the great golfers of all time. I am not. So I had eye surgery yesterday, a minor, what's called a YAG laser procedure. And my ophthalmologist who did this as a follow up to a year ago detached retina, then a cataract surgery, then a cleanup surgery, then the YAG laser procedure to clean it up further. So said yes, you can go play sports today. It's okay. There's not really a sitting out time after doing that YAG laser procedure. So I was excited to go back to the course and play a quick nine holes with a buddy of mine that I usually beat like a drum. It's not a very good athlete, not a very good golfer. He'll remain nameless today. You know, it's, he won the last time we played and today he absolutely crushed me, which is actually soul crushing because it's towards the end of the season. I don't know if we'll get back out again. But of course my excuses that I had eye surgery yesterday and could barely see on some putt, my putt was so bad, he asked me, are you seeing two cups or one? This may be the ultimate insight insult for a golfer. I actually don't usually give him credit for a creative, for creative trash talking. But today, aside from playing the best golf I've ever seen him play and off, you know, again, usually the caveat is usually he's awful. The not only was his, his game good today, his, his trash talking was terrific today as well. We play for relatively small stakes. No one's going broke. But having to sell him $15 was enough to have me, you know, basically, yes, I'll go home, I'll kick the dog. Nobody's getting dinner tonight. We're not going out tonight. I'm going to be in a bad mood for a couple of days, but I will get over it. But, but again, I give him credit because for his level witness and his level golf, he played out of his mind today and trash talked better than he ever trash talks. So we give him. Great credit. That's today's podcast. Are you seeing two cups? Of course. I have no real excuse other than when you're not in the mental mood to play golf. It's an impossible game to play. Many sports are active sports and you're not in the mood. You could still play and be fine. Golf is one of those sports. Or if I've had six cups of coffee and I'm in no mood to play, I shouldn't be out there. No excuses. He played out of his mind. He trash talked out of his mind. He's. He's actually hook him horns. He's brighter than I give credit to. He's actually quite bright. I love his newsletter but I was so disappointed to get crushed today. Soul crushing. Spirit crushing. I will rebound to play another day. It is what it is. Thank you for listening to the Becker Business Podcast. The Becker Private Equity Podcast. We promise there will be brighter days ahead. Thank you for listening. Listening.
