This is Scott Becker with the Becker Business, the Becker Private Equity Podcast, Today's discussion and each day we try and bring you one to two business or market insight episodes plus typically an interview from a business leader. Today's discussion is it's when you get punched in the face, it's the time to double down. And I'll try and make sure I get this title right. But, but here's the concept. In any business effort that you're trying to work on, or quite frankly any life effort, you are going to come into obstacles and you really have a choice when you come to those obstacles. One is that you give up and move away or two is you push forward on it. One of the pieces of advice I got earlier on from somebody was this concept that when you get punched in the face that actually often means that you're starting to make progress. So recently got slammed by somebody in our efforts to try and move books and efforts to try and become a best selling book author of some sort. And I, I have two choices then we, we either give up or push forward. And we chose to, to, to push forward. It is what it is. But, but in, in my career so many times this has happened. When I first got got serious about the media business at magazine, you know, took shots at me and you almost have to view it as okay, you actually matter that people are taking shots at you. So get up and get back in the game and go after it. And quite frankly, anything I've ever done, and most people have ever done where they've had some success at some point they have got punched in the face and they've had to deal with getting back at it. And you have to choose at that point do you stay down or do you act like a force of nature and keep on going. We have another podcast topic that we've talked about often which is don't listen to the naysayers. And I think it plays into this concept too because anything you do, you get serious about it, you're going to get punched in the face. You're going to take shots and that's the time where you have to sort of decide that you're going to be a force of nature and keep on pushing forward. Versing versus letting it slow you down or stop you. In any event, I have to tell you, I am so appreciative for everybody that listens to the Becker Business.
