This is Scott Becker with the Becker Business Podcast. We try each day to bring you one to two specific business insight or market insight episodes plus one to two interviews a day with business leaders. Today's discussion is Lululemon Ding Dong the Witch's dad and and I and I say that jokingly, but here's the deal with with Lululemon1 the CEO has left the the building. Calvin McDonald's, arguably due to poor results, arguably to due to fights with the founders. But Calvin McDonald is out. They're trying to figure out the next CEO. Now. This was way overdue. Used to be a store that everybody couldn't get enough of. Now it's struggling. Its stock is down, I think this year about 51%. It's down 53% over the last 52 weeks. It just really has been in the tank. Sales and merchants merchandising in the US Are languishing. Same store sales are in bad shape. They did. The stock is actually up today, both on the firing of the CEO and in the increased positive forecast for the next year. But at the end of the day, Lulu for a very long time held that spot in American culture as a must shop place. And now it seems like it is. Not that I find less and less the reasons to go to Lulu, but it is what it is. We'll be back with you today with episodes around unemployment and labor. We'll have discussions tomorrow on Robinhood dropping 9% yesterday. We'll also discuss a couple other issues. Thank you for listening to the Becker Business, the Becker Private Equity Podcast. Just a pleasure to visit with you. If you're the first person to text Scott Becker at 773-766-5322, we will send you a $25 gift certificate. You got to tell us that you're listening to the Lululemon episode. Thank you for listening.
