This is Scott Becker with the Becker Business the Becker Private Equity Podcast. Today's discussion is Building Great Cultures. So here's one of the things we watch, and it's almost like the old Peter Winch thing of investing is you sort of watch what you see and see what's going great and learn from that. It doesn't mean that I'm investing from that, but but there's five local restaurant establishments that have just done an unbelievable job over the course of the last decade, some of them more recent than that. But the last several years, where you go into those restaurants or establishments, you see the same people. The customer service is remarkable and the experience is remarkable in this ability to retain great people and build leadership teams. It's a lesson I see on a micro level from these five establishments. But it's also so true of any business that you're in. Building sustainable teams and then pushing forward with a clear strategy are two of the biggest sites for winners in business. And we watch this closely and love watching it. So Here are the five we'll give a shout out to today. EJ's one of the great. And these are all local to Chicago, so some people will appreciate this, some will not. But I'll give quick five quick shout outs to some of the places we watch and have done an incredible job of maintaining and building culture. EJ's great restaurant Abigail's founded by Mike Paulson. Named after one of the kids, one of their kids. Fantastic place. Hometown Coffee and Juice. Literally amazing the culture they've built out at these restaurants. Again, this is Blue Rubin and Julie Rubin. Literally remarkable what they've done. Guild Hall, Jerry John and others. Amazing what they've done at Guild hall to maintain the staff, the team, the culture. You come in there, everybody greets you like you're at Cheers, like you're at a hometown place. It's really remarkable. And that's the same of all these places. And the last place I'll give a shout out to if I've got the fifth one is Three Tarts Bakery Cafe run by Kate. An amazing, amazing job. You know, you see the same staff all the time. They treat you like you're at home. Truly amazing what these businesses have done. There's a lot to be said for this. As general business lessons, I watched one of the companies I served on the board of Kelly Blair. Built a great team where she's at. I watched Jessica Cole at Becker Healthcare retain and build a great team. I see Jordy Ain constantly trying to get better and improve at what she's doing. It's that kind of greatness that we like to watch, that kind of cultural evolution and development. Thank you for listening to the Becker Business, the Becker Private Equity Podcast. I'll also give a quick shout out today to Andy Staffman and Jeff Staffman. One of the rules of life is if you're buying putters, you're buying lessons, you're buying chippers for David and Ellen. You're supposed to be buying them and bringing them for all of us. Thank you for listening to the Becker Business and the Becker Private Equity Podcast. Thank you very, very much.
