This is Scott Becker with the Becker Business Podcast. The Becker Private Equity Podcast. Today's discussion is be a leader or be at risk. And here's the concept. We see so many people at young professional firms or professional services firms are in their first business, their first job, stuff like that, and they think they got to do what they're asked to do and sort of, sort of go through the motions, do what they have to do, and so forth. And the sad reality of it is it's a brutal world out there with inflation, with challenges at companies, with businesses, with everybody having too much debt and so much other. So my advice to young people, that when they start their job, they have to decide not that they're going to have a job, but that they're going to be great at the job. And what we basically say is, you know, we could say it in all these words that are used in Twitter. Be a beast, be a savage, be all these guys, but be a leader and figure out where you're going to be great. And then you're less vulnerable and less at risk. So we really view it as be a leader or be at risk. Be a beast or be at risk. So as you start your career, you can't just go through the motions. You have to be great. And I'm reminded this regularly as I see people that are always doing nice work, they're doing fine, they're doing okay, but then they end up in trouble at work, and they don't realize the game that they're playing, that they actually got to be great, not just go through the motion. So today's discussion, be a leader or be at risk. That's the discussion of the day. Thank you for listening to the Becker Business Podcast and the Becker Private Equity Podcast. I will for the inspiration today, I'm going to give a special shout out to one of the favorite people I love to work with, which is Carson Neely, who always has brilliant ideas and thoughts on so many subjects.
