This is Scott Becker with the Becker Private Equity and Business Podcast. Today's discussion is Going for greatness. So here's the concept. We work with so many different people and watch so many different people, and there's this great divide at some point in their careers where they're choosing to sort of do their job and do fine at it versus going for greatness. And one of the things I would encourage people that as they try and assess their careers, at some point they have to decide whether they actually want to go for greatness or where they just want to have a nice career. And either could be fine. I do see some that are professionals in big law firms, big consulting firms, big accounting firms all across the board that are sort of, in an advanced way, doing a great job in going through the motions and trying to inform them that there's more to it than that. At some point, you have to decide whatever you want to call it, whether you want to call it, to get into beast mode and try and be just great at what you do and try and be exceptional what you do, or you try and build a practice there or. Or you try and. And become a manager there, you become a leader there, whatever it might be. But. But moving through this period of time where you unite around a concept that really going for greatness versus trying to be fine. And I think they're two very different things. You know, we highly encourage people at some point, whether with a career coach or themselves or sitting down deep with themselves. And I know that seems oxymoronic to sit down with yourself, but to really decide, what am I trying to do, what am I want to be great at, what is my plan? I think that's the concept is at some point you have to decide, am I going for greatness or am I not? And you can make your choice however you want to do it. But at the end of the day, I do think at some point young professionals need to decide, is that where they're going or not? Thank you for listening to the Becker Private Equity and Business podcast. And again, I encourage people make that choice. Go for greatness. You can do it, but you have to decide that you want to do it. Thank you for listening to the Becker Private Equity and Business Podcast. Thank you very much.
