This is Scott Becker with the Becker Business podcast, the Becker Private Equity Podcast. Today's discussion is My golf Game Sucks, Part 132. So here's what's going on with the golf game. And I know so many, so few people care about this, but it is my, my, you know, my daily struggle. And the struggle is very real. So what happens is I've been taken from a couple different pros. I know that in itself sounds stupid. I shot a record round on Saturday. One of those rounds where everything goes right. I hit, I hit horrible shots. One shot, a nine iron from way outside 120 yards out. I hit a horrible ball. I top it, it rolls into the hole for a birdie. Another hole hit, two horrible chip shots, and they made an incredible putt. I mean, just lucky stuff that led to a record round for me. So this is great. My golf game is looking in the right direction. Then I'm in a betting game Sunday with one of my favorite people in the world who is also a nemesis, and this turns into a disaster. He plays relatively awful. I play awful, awful. Literally a 14 swing between Saturday and Sundays. I just can't seem to do anything right. I'm thinking too hard. I'm in no mood to golf and just a horrible, horrible afternoon on top of it. I leave my gap wedge in my friend's bag and just horrible. Then I come out to play nine holes late, late yesterday with three guys. You know, one guy would play $5 a hole, one guy would play $1 a hole. All I could tell you is I lost more money playing $5 hole and $1 hole in a scotch game than you could ever think is possible losing in a golf game with those low a stake. So at the end of the day, my golf game sucks. I diagnosed it though. I'm trying to do too much, trying too hard to do certain things that one of these pros is teaching me. It's back to the drawing board, but. But we'll hopefully move in the right direction. Until then, my athletic skills suck. My golf game sucks. It's a depressing day in the neighborhood. Feel free to text me at any time with any golf tips or business tips or ideas of any sort. I need them. 773-76-6522.
