This is Scott Becker with the Becker Private Equity and the Becker Business Podcast. Today's discussion is saying no is a superpower. So here's the deal. So many of us find ourselves bombarded with calls and all kinds of levels. Potential business calls, potential other kinds of calls, people trying to sell you stuff, calls, all kinds of things. And I find myself over the course of the years being very open to taking a ton of those calls and sort of trying to do the right thing, trying to connect with people, trying to help, trying to advise. The challenge that you have is, is that you overextend yourself. You don't have time for true concentration and true intentionality. And then you end up doing half ass everything that you do because you're spread so thin versus being able to really focus and be intentional and be purposeful about what you're trying to do. So when I sort of look at this is, I think about it. You know, one of my core concepts is say no to business travel. It's written in my core notes. I see it every day and I do it when I have to, of course, but I do it when I really want to go speak someplace or really go visit people, really go meet somebody. But by and large, I try and save my travel for leisure or for seeing the family. But, but the context of saying no is a superpower I think is so important. It's a different definition, quite frankly, of intentionality and trying to be intentional about everything you do. So the concept today is saying no is a superpower. If you agree with this, have comments on it, please feel free to text. Scott Becker, 773-766-5322 I find myself, when I don't say no enough, just overwhelmed and not being able to be intentional and good at almost anything.
