This episode is a 2 parter! In the first part I'm telling you how you can re-wire your brain to not be negative. As a society we are almost wired to focus on the negative, to focus on what we don't have, but by doing that you are creating a negative life and no one wants that! Gratitude can change your life! Trust me! I also give you my tips on surviving the holidays! Spoiler: you can't do everything! Throw guilt out the window and do the things that bring you joy! The holidays should be fun! Don't make yourself crazy!

In this episode I talk about my recent trip to Italy. This year is the year of Bella Figura! In Italian that translates to beautiful figure. It's all about looking and feeling amazing and living your best life. It is also about dignity, hospitality, and politeness. AKA being a good person! We need more of those in this world. I'm telling you about some of the places I went and how different the culture is. Italians don't feel pulled to be busy all the time. The don't think being busy is a badge of honor. They enjoy taking their time and savoring life (and food! so much good food). In turn I came back and made a small life change to not feel so busy all the time. I also discuss the shame I do to myself when I don't feel productive of busy! I went to Italy SOLO, and that had been a fear of mine that I got to conquer. I booked a solo tour through Go Ahead Tours and I highly recommend them. If you need info shoot me a message Instagram: @beingfearlessjax

I took an abrupt hiatus and in this episode I talk about why. The short answer: I didn't feel I was inspiring and had nothing to say. Sometimes we just need a break. I fill you guys in on my on going pelvic floor journey and the fact that I have a new outlook on things. I also share why I started the podcast and what I strive to do! There is also a bit of a rant about Matthew Perry's new book. I am deeply disappointed in his portrayal of having an ostomy and in my opinion, what he says is not true. Or at least NEVER happened to me. Ostomies save lives and it saved his. Are they pleasant? NO! But as person who has had one and for a long time had a lot of shame around it, I don't want the IBD community to take a step back because a celebrity gave a horrific account of what he said happened to him. I'm sure everything he wrote, he feels deeply, but as someone who has been in the IBD community for over 30 years and speaking to a lot of people, some of the things he says in untrue. If you are a fan of his, maybe skip the end!

In this episode I am baring my soul. Expect crying. I share about my recent journey with pelvic floor therapy and how the outcome was not what I thought it was going to be. I also discuss blaming myself, even though I know deep down none of this was my fault but I need to blame someone, and if it's not my fault then whose is it? Spoiler: sometimes it's no one's fault. AND by holding on to shame and anger you are only hurting yourself. Although this episode deals with an issue specific to me, the messages can apply to lots of scenarios. I designed this podcast to help people face their fears and this one is my biggest one. It's true what they say, once your biggest fear actually happens, it's not so scary anymore.

My most downloaded podcasts are always about dating! This time I decided to mix it up and get the male perspective around dating and my guest does not disappoint. Lincoln Williams is a single man who is admin of the popular Facebook group New England Singles! He sees and hears all about dating in New England. I asked him every burning question I could think of in regards to me and he answered all very candidly. It's a great interview! I hope you listen and feel a little differently about dating in 2022. https://www.facebook.com/groups/810507232466954

This week on the podcast I have an amazing conversation with Amanda Carr. Amanda Carr is a multi-styled vocalist/pianist who began professionally as a teenager in the rock and pop genre playing in Boston area night clubs with later years including jazz and big band, focusing on fresh interpretations of the Great American Songbook and receiving critical acclaim. I have known Amanda most of my life and when I asked her to come on the podcast I assumed we would be talking a lot about music BUT you know what happens when we assume?! The conversation took a beautiful turn about life and being an imperfectly perfect human. I hope you like this conversation as much as I did! https://www.instagram.com/amandacarrlife www.amandacarr.com FB: Amanda Carr

This week I have an electric conversation with Amber Dolan-Bath! Amber is an Intuitive Goddess and she helps people release their inner wild child and step into their power. A lot of this conversation was centered around being enough for yourself and following the path of your inner goddess. Amber has an amazing energy and a great outlook on following your inner voice! https://amberdolanbath.com/ https://www.instagram.com/iamamberdolanbath/

What do you need right now? Do you even know? Years ago I did not. I had slowly embarked on a personal development/ self love journey but had no idea what I needed. All these books were telling me to "go for it" and I had no idea what "it" was. Maybe you don't either? I thought it would be helpful to tell you exactly what helped me. At first it will sound overwhelming but once you get into a groove and get consistent, it won't and you can make small changes in order to figure out what your "it" is. You will then find that when you keep doing the work, your "it" will change and evolve because you are! These are the books I recommend when first starting out" You are a badass by Jen Sincero Choose wonder over worry by Amber Rae Girl, wash your face by Rachel Hollis If you want to connect about the Fearless Intensive: @beingfearlessjax on Insta!
