For years, the rivalry between the Belvidere Bucs and the Boylan Titans has been THE game of the regular season. Now after a 3-game win streak, the Bucs host Boylan in a true must-win situation. It all comes down to this. If Belvidere wins, they earn a playoff bid. Lose - and the regular season is over.

You've seen the slogan "Once a Buc" on t-shirts. But what does it mean? For Homecoming 2014, BelvidereFootball.com thought we'd explore what that means. We interviewed Andrew Walters. Andrew is a Belvidere grad (2002), and was a three-sport athlete: football, where he earned an all-state honorable mention as a Defensive End, wrestling, and baseball. After college, he returned to BHS - as a teacher and a baseball coach. He was a fierce and talented competitor, and passionate about teaching to his students. Listen to his story and get inspired.

"Trainer!" To the fan or coach, it may send a chill if they hear that phrase during a game or practice. But that's when Belvidere's trainer-in-residence, Erik Smith, answers the call of duty.

Belvidere Bucs blanked the Jefferson J-Hawks 41-0 last week in Game 2 of the NIC-10 season, with much credit to the defense. Defensive linemen Austin Ziriaxe and Ron Paris join us on the podcast. Austin also wrestles and Ron plays wide receiver and during the winter plays basketball. Both are fans of the Chicago Bears.
