
After a few years of the men's and women's Australian Opens running concurrently, Golf Australia has made the decision to revert back to separate tournaments for the first time since 2021. The concurrent tournament came under heavy criticism from Australian major winners Cameron Smith and Hannah Green with issues around scheduling and course conditions proving to be a bugbear for the golfers. Asian Tour pro Marcus Fraser told Quentin Hull the change back to the old format will be welcomed by his peers.
