Things take time. A message we all hear. But one that took me too long to understand. What if it did take a while? What if there is no shortcut? The key is just accepting this and enjoying the ride. Just a little mental model I like to walk myself through in times when I tell myself I'm "working my a** off." A lot of the time we are too hard on ourselves. Other times, we may give ourselves too much credit. You may be doing under the required amount of work and still letting yourself slip, by saying you're "working hard." This is just what I have found in my own experience.

Here's why I roll out of bed and do my most important task of the day (one of them at least). This also goes into a rant about entropy and how it will destroy you if you just let the days pass.

This is how I was able to run 6 miles in less than a week. Simple formula, and I hope it leads me a lot farther than just 6 miles.
