Hey, it's DJ Mike and welcome to Sasquatch Spring Break Spectacular. Live from Daytona Beach. Sasquatch Spring Break Spectacular. This is the most spectacular thing ever. Let's begin. Hey everybody. Welcome to an allnew episode of Bigfoot Collectors Club. The show where we talk to amazing guests about their personal paranormal history and share stories of high strangeness. I'm your host, Michael McMillan. With me always is the semanifique purveyor of French dialect, Remy Brie. Sorry I had to add his name. Even though Riley always announces himself, it was too good of an opportunity to miss.
Riley Bray
I think that work has been done for me. All right.
Michael McMillan
Hey everybody. That was submitted by Eric over on the BCC Discord, which you want to join the conversation, you can become an official member of the BCC clubhouse on bcc.supercast.com welcome listeners and guests who are about to introduce doesn't know that this is happening. Welcome to BCC's Sasquatch Spring Break Spectacular all week long.
Riley Bray
That's right here.
Michael McMillan
And on BCC the other side we are getting our Squatch on all Squatch all break. And what better time to declare a Sasquatch spring break when there is a Sasquatch outbreak taking place right now in the state of Ohio. Joining us today to discuss his work collecting eyewitness reports and to help us understand what the hell is happening right now in the Midwest Club scouts of all time lies the lines Please welcome fellow Fordian and host of the Bigfoot Society podcast, Jeremiah Byron. Welcome guys.
Jeremiah Byron
Thank you so much for being here. I am a super fan of the Bigfoot Collectors Club. You guys are great. I was like, oh my goodness, they're reaching out to me. Let's do it.
Michael McMillan
But yeah, this should have happened a long time ago.
Riley Bray
I can't believe it hasn't.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, it's happening. I think at the perfect moment.
Jeremiah Byron
It really is. I mean guys, it is un. Unprecedented times is a phrase that sometimes gets thrown around and if we're in it when it comes to Bigfoot, like this hasn't happen been since like the 70s where it's just like bam, crazy sightings in one small area, like 20 minute drive area. And it's like it has been a whirlwind for the last few days and I'm just like, I'm not even like I'm barely sleeping. I'm like gotta keep going, gotta keep going.
Michael McMillan
Like this is, this is incredible because it as of this record it has not come out yet. But as listeners hear this episode, on the previous Friday's episode of BCC the Other side over on BCC Supercast.com we actually quickly briefly covered the fact that this Bigfoot flap was happening right now in Ohio. And I said, I said the same thing to Riley which is like this hasn't happened not only in the lifetime of the show. I don't think this has happened in, since like the 70s. This feels akin to now. I don't know if you guys, are you guys having UFO signings that are correlating with this stuff? Anything weird?
Jeremiah Byron
I haven't done any yet. Not yet. And I'm surprised by that because there is a history of UFO flaps in this area. I believe. I, I think I, I saw that from one of my buddies earlier tonight. But I'm not really UFO, I'm a Bigfoot guy. 100 but like it's weird when they intersect, right? It's very strange.
Michael McMillan
Well you know, because you mentioned the 1970s and obviously we had the big Pennsylvania Bigfoot UFO like you know, we like to call it invasion back in 1973 and when you get a flap like this it kind of. I, I told Riley, I was like they're going to write books about this and Jeremiah, you might write a book about this. So what's it like we're going to get, we're g. He's like please don't put that on. We're going to get into it more in the second half of the episode. Obviously, we want to talk to you too, and get to know you a little bit about your work and all that stuff, but you said you're exhausted. What is it like being a researcher who takes eyewitness reports when something like this is happening?
Jeremiah Byron
So first off, I want to say is it's a great exhaustion when you figure out what you want to do in your life, and you're just like, I get to go for it 100%. And then it's like the universe is like, be careful what you wish for, because now this is happening. And you're like, oh, no, this is great. So how this all happened was so when I was a little kid, I used to watch In Search of and Unsolved Mysteries with my father reruns. And I was like, this is so cool. And I remember seeing the Patterson Gimlin film. And I was like, is anyone else seeing this? This is amazing. And they're like, yeah, yeah, we've seen this. And so then fast forward to, you know, late 20s, I'm working at, let's just say, a tech company, fruit stand, and I'll leave it there and doing my thing fixing computers. And I find out some of my buddies there, we're in central Iowa, and we're like, oh, there's like Cryptids around where we're at. We gotta check this out. So my buddy is doing some interviews for a documentary called Terror in the Skies by Small Town Monsters. And he's like, you should come along, see these interviews happen, because you love this stuff. And so I go along, is this Seth Breedlove?
Michael McMillan
Is this the same? Which we've not had on the show either. But, um, yeah, I'm familiar with it, with his work.
Jeremiah Byron
So my buddy Andrew is like, hey, at the last minute, I actually need you to be the guy who is, like, off to the side asking questions. I'm like, oh, okay. So halfway through, I fell in love with interviewing people. I was like, I want to do this forever. And so 2019, I started my own podcast, talking to people about cryptozoology stuff everywhere. And then, you know, what happened? So everyone was home. And it was really easy to get people interviewed.
Michael McMillan
Sure was a lot easier than it is now.
Jeremiah Byron
And then about a year and a half ago, that's a whole story in itself about I. One of my buddies, a Bigfoot researcher, was like, hey, we got to get you out in the woods so you can see what this is all about. And stuff got crazy. And then I switched it all over to Bigfoot Encounter. Bigfoot witness interviews. And, I mean, I'm well over a thousand episodes where I've just been talking to people nonstop about Bigfoot encounters and giving them a place to share where they're not afraid of ridicule, they're safe. And sometimes I just let them go for, like, 40 minutes, and then we talk about it, and it's like, I love it. It is the coolest thing. I get to go out to Oregon out in the woods and get freaked out, and, dude, it's. It's a wild time.
Michael McMillan
I. I love this, and I love that you are getting the actual eyewitness reports, getting them, you know, on tape or digital tape, whatever we want to call it on a file, whatever. Riley, help me out here. What do we call it?
Jeremiah Byron
Bit.
Michael McMillan
I don't know on bit, but let's walk back a little bit of this personal paranormal history, because there's some things in there that I thought were really exciting. One being, what was the interview for you when you were working with Seth Breedlove? What was the thing. What interview? Remember what cryptid you guys were. Were looking into or the interview that made you fall in love with doing this?
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah. So. And this is. Oh, man, this is such a good question, Michael. I mean, no one's. No one's asked me that.
Michael McMillan
Now it's my turn.
Jeremiah Byron
Jeremiah, I really appreciate that. Thank you. So I think more of it was so backstory. It was a documentary they made about winged cryptids. And so my buddy Andrew was doing the interviews in Iowa about the Van Meter visitor, because that's central Iowa. That's our homeboy. And so it's not so much the person I was talking to, but as an interviewer, there are times when you are playing a mental cat and mouse. And how do I get. What do I have to ask in order to get maybe this kind of. And it is such a weird chess game that you play in your mind. It's very hard to explain. And that's why I fell in love with it and then changed more into, okay, Now I'm giving individuals a spot where they. Where they can share what their experience was. And a lot of people have been like, hey, thank you. I can go to sleep now. That's how they talk to me after the interview. And I'm like that. I feel like, okay, I guess I am making a difference. At first I thought I was just having fun, but it is actually making a difference, I think.
Riley Bray
Yeah. Yeah. Interviewing can be part of that game. Part storytelling, part therapy. Kind of just like all wrapped happen yeah, totally. Sure.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. And I get the idea too, of, like, people getting this off their conscience because, as you know, you know, some of these stories we hear, people. I'm sure you get stories from eyewitnesses that aren't are telling stories that happened 30 or 40 years ago because they've just been afraid to talk about it, you know, there. I think people underestimate now in the age of tik tok and podcasts, just what a wild stigma coming out and saying that you saw one of these things had back in the day, you know? And it just makes me think about all the great stories we never got because people just didn't want to share them.
Jeremiah Byron
And the crazy thing is, that's such a good point because that's why I take what I do so seriously. Because, okay, the 70s were awesome for Bigfoot encounters, and those guys are checking out right now. So if I get an email where it's like, hey, I'm a guy who saw something in the 70s, it's like, drop everything and set it up immediately
Michael McMillan
because you have a big fat file that's like the 70s, you know, it's like, oh, yeah, yeah, exactly.
Riley Bray
So awesome.
Jeremiah Byron
I take it very seriously. But I have fun when I'm doing it.
Riley Bray
Yeah, it's an oral history, in a way.
Michael McMillan
You're chronicling something.
Riley Bray
Yeah, yeah.
Michael McMillan
You got to collect that lore. So then cut to 2019. You're getting more and more into this. What is the. Where were you when you said you. You went out in the woods? You went, you know, on a, I assume, Bigfoot hunt and some weird stuff happened.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, yeah. So my. My buddy shout out to Hieronymus Bigfoot researcher. He was pestering me and being. He's like, you gotta get out in the woods. You're gonna be able to interview researchers and experiencers better if you're out there. You'll get how it goes. So he takes me to this area around Iowa that is unnamed because I respect the researcher and it's really active. And so we go out there, and I'm sitting in a chair in this campsite in the middle of nowhere, and I hear a wood knock or when something hits a tree, which we usually say is Bigfoot, it's like to my left. And I was like, that's weird. And Tate was asleep, and I was like, oh, okay. And then stuff started happening. I mean, there's no wind out there. We're out in the middle of the woods. All of a sudden, a tree gets pushed over 30ft away from the campsite. Tate's like, all right, I'm getting up. I'm starting to do wood knocks. He gets wood knocks back. This area is so weird. I've been going there multiple times. I've heard whoops in my tent at 3am in the morning. I've had something walk around my tent when I've been solo camping out there, which is really not smart. But it's been walking around my camp on two legs. And I'm laying there, and my blood pressure is going through the roof, and I'm like, this is it. And the next morning, I get up. Michael, this is the weirdest thing in my life. So. Well, not the weirdest, but on the picnic table outside, something had taken a plastic fork and put a squirrel tail through it and left it there. And I was like, oh, no.
Michael McMillan
Oh. And, like, terrifying.
Jeremiah Byron
It just some really. Okay, here's another really weird, scary thing. So I take my son there. He's around 10.
Michael McMillan
Son, I got something you got to experience.
Jeremiah Byron
He loves it. He loves it. So corn sweat In Iowa, it's 100% plus humidity this last year. We're in August. Not a smart move. We're not gonna do it again. But so we're there, sweating in the tent, no rain. Fly up. He's got this little toy lantern that's hanging from the hook inside. And so we just pass out. We're like, oh, man, just get through this. I remember waking up at 2am and I look up, and I can see the moon and the stars. That lantern is. Is going back and forth like a crazy chandelier in the background. And this is, like, two or three in the morning. I hear something that sounds like a insanely angry chimpanzee monkey, and it's beating a tree like crazy. Just like, wham, wham, wham, wham. And the crazy thing is, is I immediately passed out and went to sleep. I just went right to sleep, which is so. Many witnesses say that. And the next morning, really, it was a big pattern, guys. And so the next morning, I was like, I'm not gonna say anything to my kid and see what happens.
Michael McMillan
Smart.
Jeremiah Byron
And he's like, dad, wasn't it weird when we heard that angry chimpanzee last night? And I was like, oh, my God. No, I'm not crazy.
Michael McMillan
Like, whoa.
Riley Bray
Whoa. Yeah, whoa.
Jeremiah Byron
I mean, I've had stuff like that happen. I go out to an area in the Willamette National Forest in Oak Ridge, Oregon. That's where the crazy stuff happens. I've had. I found 1617 inch tracks out there. I've been in a nylon chair at the edge of a meadow and not able to move for five minutes. I do wait a minute.
Michael McMillan
From just like fear or like infrasound, like psychoparalysis.
Jeremiah Byron
There was a documentary group that left a banana in a tree in that area. The next day we went. Something had taken it out of the bag.
Michael McMillan
Condescending, I have to say, but it
Jeremiah Byron
had taken it out of the tree and it peeled and eaten it. And there was a 16 inch footprint next to it. And this is 38 miles out in the woods in Oregon. And dude, like last, last July, I was out there and I went a little bit into the woods by myself, which is not smart. And I was like. I was like, I'm just gonna do a verbal thing. If there's anything out here. Can you make a noise? Half a second later, something was like, knock, knock, knock. And I was like, oh, no. So I was like, maybe that was weird. Maybe that just happened. So I tried it again. Another knock, knock, knock. And I was like, I got to go back. I can't handle this. And like every day I think, what would have happened if I just walked 20ft into the woods where I heard that knock response? And dude, like, the weirdest thing that happened to me out there was the first time I went out for Sasquatch Summerfest. Shout out is my legs had gotten really messed up in the woods. I either got a reaction or I got. Something happened.
Michael McMillan
Trump threw some poison oak. Poison oak swollen.
Jeremiah Byron
And I had to go to the ER and still get antibiotics. And I had to cancel all my interviews. But the last night, I was like, you know what? I'm just getting a burger and I'm just driving by the reservoir where everyone was having Bigfoot stuff happen that I heard during the festival. Yeah, no joke, guys. And then I'll shut up for a minute. No joke.
Michael McMillan
Don't. Don't stop.
Riley Bray
You won't.
Jeremiah Byron
One of the guys at the festival had been like, hey, are you ready to see one? I'm like, what are you talking about? He's like a Bigfoot. I'm like, well, I guess so. And he's like, here's what you do. You just say, in your mind, I'm ready to see one. And I was, in a way, as I'm driving to this reservoir and I'm gonna eat a burger, I was like, you know what? Whatever. I'm ready to see one in my mind. No joke. This is where like, the craziness happens. Like half a Second later, I drive by this pine tree that's covered in ivy and I see what looks like the silhouette of an 8 and a half foot tall Sasquatch there. And then it just disappears. And I'm like, what in the world is going on right now? Like, it's nuts out there.
Michael McMillan
All right, we have to. Okay, listen, listen. This is, this could not get gotten off to a better start. I. We're already over 15 minutes and I have. We have to take a break, but we're gonna come right back and pick up right where we left off.
Riley Bray

Okay, Jeremiah. So, buddy, sometimes guests come on the show and we really have to go. Okay, well, tell us more. And you've hit us with paralyzing infrasound. You've hit us with possibly telepathic communication with the vanishing Bigfoot, some weird antibiotic or by forest rash. Yeah, forest rash.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Let's talk for a second about this. Okay, let's. Let's break some of this stuff down piece by piece. Yeah, let's talk about the moment that you were paralyzed in the chair. What was happening? Where were you guys out? That was in Oregon. And then what was that moment like?
Jeremiah Byron
So I. There's this research area out there where it's called Oak Hole. In. Out in the woods in Oregon, in Oak Ridge area. And so we were out there with a group of individuals. It was a Sunday afternoon after the festival. It was really weird because everyone's electronics stopped working. And so usually when I go out there, I try to record stuff and I was like, wow, everything's dead. And I just charged it up. But I didn't make the pattern connect. Like, oh, that's because that's what bigfoot does. And so we're just sitting there waiting, and weird stuff was happening that day. When there's a certain female individual in that area with us, Something starts making a certain bird whistle noise from the woods where it's like. And so she does it back to it. Yeah, kinda. But it was going back and forth and back and forth, and we were like, oh, my goodness, this is so weird. But the same time is where I'm just sitting there and, like, I remember thinking I was like, I can't move. And then all of a sudden, it was like, some. Remember that movie where it's like dinner for schmucks, and it's like, I release you.
Michael McMillan
Not the movie I thought you were gonna reference.
Jeremiah Byron
That's exactly how it went down, Michael. So weird.
Michael McMillan
And obviously you're, like, taking note of that because you've talked to enough people now that you're like, this is what. This is.
Riley Bray
How long did it last?
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah.
Riley Bray
How did you. About five minutes. And then did you. Did it slow? Like, were you, like, kind of like move a toe, move a finger? Like, what, did you fight it?
Jeremiah Byron
Are you just sor.
Riley Bray
Accepted in the moment? Like, how do you.
Jeremiah Byron
No, it was just like. It was literally like someone had snapped their fingers. Was like, I release you, and then back. It was so weird. Guys. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Huh.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah.
Riley Bray
Did you hear anything in particular? Any. Anything corresponding with the. The paralysis?
Jeremiah Byron
It's more. That's. That's a great question, too. It's more that. What we didn't hear. And so what happens, Riley, in this area is that the woods all of a sudden go extremely quiet. And it's weird because so everything goes quiet, and then the pressure in your ears goes. And you're like, oh. And so the first time that happened, it's right before weird stuff kicked off. But then now I'm like, when that happens, it's like, all right, it's party time. Like, it's so weird when you.
Michael McMillan
It's the oz factor, that thing where reality feels like it's shifting a little bit.
Jeremiah Byron
Oh, 100%, dude.
Michael McMillan
I'm curious now. There's a couple questions I want to ask, but I think. I think. Let's just get a sketch here of it. Sounds like the door is open for you.
Riley Bray
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
For the. Some of the more high strangeness aspects of bigfoot, would you say that's. That's accurate?
Jeremiah Byron
I could say that's accurate.
Michael McMillan
So if you Were going to give your definition of what you think one of these creatures are, what would that be?
Jeremiah Byron
So I am going, guys, off of what I have experienced personally. And what I've experienced personally is there is something out there that can physically leave tracks and that can peel a banana and eat it and leave a track right next to it. But it can also do really weird stuff that science does not explain. And there's a great book, if I could shout it out, Dark matter monsters by Dr. Simeon Hein. And he tries to explain it with quantum theory stuff. It's wild. And so at this point, the weirder the better. I think it's so good. But at this point, I'm like, physical creature that can do a lot of weird stuff that science doesn't accept or understand. But, man, if I go to Oregon this year and I see one walk out of a portal, it's like, game over. I will change everything.
Michael McMillan
Okay, so you're. You're not an interdimensional guy.
Jeremiah Byron
Well, it's just because I haven't experienced it yet. Yeah, yeah.
Michael McMillan
But there's some sort of advanced techniques that this creature has that can, like, so much mess with things. It is. Have you read any of Joshua Kutchin's stuff? Did you read. Oh, great guy. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
Jeremiah Byron
Where the footprints end, right?
Michael McMillan
Yes, yes.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Because, like, the stuff with the. When we get to the stuff where it's, like, interfering with, you know, equipment and like, Riley, that all the time we experienced that doing the ghost quest at the Eldritch Hotel. Don't you remember that? The.
Riley Bray
That's true.
Michael McMillan
Your batteries were all drained for no reason or.
Riley Bray
Yes, that was turning on when it was off.
Michael McMillan
That was weird.
Riley Bray
Very strange.
Michael McMillan
So like that to me, I was like, well, why are we getting the same type of ghost, you know, interference that we're getting with. With this stuff? And I. It's funny because, like, listening to your. I mean, anybody listening this is going to say, this is weird. And I think it's all. I agree. I think it's all weird. But there's something about, like, when I will go through a phase where I think I'm kind of like right now, where I'm like, I don't know. I. I don't know. I don't know. I don't. I don't know what to think. I don't know what to believe. Maybe. Maybe people are wrong. Maybe this is something we don't. Maybe this is.
Jeremiah Byron
I don't know.
Michael McMillan
I don't know what this creature is. If it exists or not. And then I'll hear someone like you who's talked a thousand, a thousand people, different people who's experienced stuff. And I go, well, something is clearly going on. Like something is causing this phenomena and I don't understand what the hell it is. What, what do you get the sense of what are the patterns? You mentioned the falling back to sleep, which was the other thing that I had never heard of that people have an encounter and fall right back to sleep. What are the big patterns that you see in the eyewitness cases that you've gathered that make you go, okay, this is telling me this might actually be happening.
Jeremiah Byron
There's usually something I've seen a lot of is. There's usually. So the individual has almost always experienced other high strangeness. It's not just Bigfoot. There's usually a UFO thing in there or weird stuff at the home.
Michael McMillan
In the same encounter or just in general? Lifetime.
Jeremiah Byron
Just in general. Okay. Now a lot of times person has an encounter, they go into a charged, what I call a charged up area. Then they're like, they get home and then just weird stuff starts to happen. I've run into that a lot. One thing I'm starting to run into more and I'm not sure how to handle it is people that are getting healed by Bigfoot and that is coming forward a lot more. And I mean it's everything from. I've talked to a guy where he was having back issues, a guy where his heart was reset on him when he was like he literally had like his heart was going down. And then he went on a Bigfoot expedition and like he was conversing with the Bigfoot and like they reset his heart. And then like he went to the doctors and the doctor was like, ah, your heart is great, bud. Like, like I don't know how to explain that man.
Michael McMillan
Like talking telepathically with something out in the tree line that he can't talk about saying I'd like to heal. This is why I'm here. Because this stuff too, this all sounds for people. This is like very. And I'm sure for people in your field it's like this is getting a little too woo woo for me. But like the, this not for me personally, but like this also sounds like alien abduction stuff, you know, like yeah, stories of people being like, oh, they said that they cured me of something or they took something out of my body that was poisoning me or they put something in that that I think fixed me. So this is. I appreciate the broad spectrum of it sounds like eyewitness stories that you're gathering. How do you. How do you go. How do you discern these cases and these individuals without feeling judgmental?
Jeremiah Byron
So that is a good way to put it as well. So what I provide is an area for an individual to share and to get off their chest what they experience. And I honestly feel when I just let someone share that these individuals are experiencing something. And, man, it's everything from like, I saw Bigfoot come out of a portal to I'm a hunter, and I looked down from my tree stand and I saw something that looked like the predator that was 15ft tall walking the cloaking type stuff. Yeah, yeah, dude, I just got that one. And so, I mean, I feel like it's not my job to be like, this isn't real, or this is real. I'm here to give the person a place to get it off their chest and hopefully get control more of their life and be able to move on. And I hope that answers your question.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, no, it does. I think it's also like, I have a thing where, like, you know, we'll more on this next week, but I've had someone recently reach out to me with a story, and it's one that takes place back in Kansas, where I'm from. And I'm going to be hopefully talking more with this individual and then maybe even going out next time I'm in town and checking out the area. And I think there's always like, you know, there's that skeptic still doing the show. Nine years, you know, eight years, whatever. In. I'm always constantly not doing it right now, by the way, I don't want anyone to feel uncomfortable, but, like, I feel like when I'm hearing these stories, I'm like, there's a part of me that's like, okay, but. But how do I know? How do, like, how do I know? Like, how do I know they're not pulling the wool over my eyes? And how do I quiet the skeptic brain and just lead with a sort of. I don't want to say altruistic, but with that pure sense of like, tell me your story. No judgment. I'm going to take a look at this. And I. Because I would have to think in some of these situations. And again, this is a bit leading because I'm sort of getting this on my plate as well and trying to figure out what to do is like, sometimes I'm sure that you're like, I don't think that happened, you know, like, that must have happened sometimes. Or no. Or no.
Jeremiah Byron
Honestly. Honestly, I feel that the individual that had the experience, they believe that they experienced what they experienced. Now, now I will say this. There are individuals that reach out to me and I can tell, like, what you're sending me is AI generated, right? Or it's an individual where it's like, oh, you have a book to sell. Or like, it's very, you know, like that. And I'm like, so there are times where it's like spidey sense will be like, ah, maybe we won't have this conversation, but there are times when, you know, like, it is an individual that is genuine. And I feel like I have a pretty. I feel like I have discernment at times, hopefully.
Michael McMillan
But
Jeremiah Byron
man, and I get flacked out. I get flack for that. Like, sometimes people will be like, oh, I can't believe you let that guy on. Like, he's so crazy. But it's like, dude, like, I'm here to help that guy, you know, like, yeah, that's why I'm here, man.
Riley Bray
Well, and yeah, you're collecting stories and you're collecting experiences and you're not like, you know, the experience is. Is a thing in and of itself.
Jeremiah Byron
Exactly.
Riley Bray
Remains interesting whether or not you can pinpoint the cause of the experience. But even just collecting the stories and collecting the experiences and finding pattern and similarities across them is interesting enough in and of itself, whether or not you can be like, is this objectively, provably true based on a physical reality constraint or whatever, because there is the possibility that this all does come from our own mind and our own connection to this reality. And it's something even more abstract than we've even begun to sort of put a framework on. So true. In that way, just collecting the experience, it remains, you know, it's like a psychology study. It's the same. It's the same. We're getting at the same thing.
Michael McMillan
I think, I think the thing that I have come to doing the show is when people say to me, well, do you really believe this stuff? You know, I will say, similar to what you're saying, Jerem, I was like, I believe that the people. Because I've had experiences I can't explain. And I mean, stuff that people would roll their eyes at and, And I would say that like, like you people. I think, I think most people are, are. Are genuinely describing an experience that they've had. And I don't know what this stuff is. I don't know what the phenomenon is. I don't know if we can lump it all under one umbrella either, but whatever it is, it's part of the human experience. And people like you are going out in the woods with their son and hearing like a wild chimpanzee scream in Tree Knox happening and going, I this is happening. I'm here and I'm hearing it. It's wild, you know. Yeah, it happens. It's part of the human experience.
Riley Bray
Yeah.

Jeremiah Byron
One that I think about, guys, so I will tell you, I have so I have my own personal map. If you go to bigfootsocietypodcast.com I have a sighting map that has over a thousand dots of people I've talked to. There's so much on the map. So I'm trying to think about it. And there's some wild ones. So I would say, okay, so Mount Hood, Oregon, right? So out there east of Portland, there's a gentleman I was talking to once. He's with his buddy. They're kind of near the mountain. They're in this remote campground Having a good time. And so they decide they're outside the campsite. There's a creek nearby. It's dark. They take a glow stick, and they're just, ah, chuck it by the creek, right? And so they look. They're like, oh, we got to get that back. They look over there, and they see something that is crouched down near the ground. They're like, oh, is that like a cougar or something? All of a sudden it stands up. It's like 8 to 9ft tall. But he's like, no joke. It turned. We watched it turn into a cloud of smoke and then hover over the creek and then go away.
Michael McMillan
What?
Jeremiah Byron
And that, like, is in my mind every. A lot of days. I'm like, this is so weird. And the crazy thing, the wild thing is I interviewed a guy the next day from pocahontas county, west virginia, and he told me, like, the same. He was like, I saw a bigfoot that turned into a cloud of smoke. And then it made me move this way and this way. I couldn't move at first, and then it made my legs move a certain way, which the native Americans in their oral traditions. I used to talk to a guy named Henry franzoni, and he'd be like, dude, that they will make you walk off a cliff if they want you to.
Michael McMillan
No.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, dude. That's what Henry would say. So that's my. That's like one that comes to mind real quick is like. It's one of the weirdest things. I mean, I've heard. I talked to a guy where he was telling me that when he was in kirkuk, Iraq, during the gulf war, they saw what looked like a. A bigfoot type creature, but it had horns. Really weird stuff, man. Whoa. Those are the things, like ram horns,
Michael McMillan
like the lake worth monster kind of situation.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, I think kind of like that. But, I mean, out in those caves, I mean, that's a whole different discussion. I mean, Afghanistan and Iraq and stuff, man. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
We haven't even touched. I know the, like, war story, bigfoot stories that you hear. Like, you know, the rock apes and all that stuff. Like, there's so much. There's so much, like, giants and, like, bigfoot attacks that happen, and. And, you know, you hear these war stories, and we haven't even, like, touched on it on this show. It's so. There's so much.
Jeremiah Byron
Dude, I got a veteran. Dude, I got a veteran from the southeast. And he let it slip. He was like, oh, I was in Vietnam. And I was like, you know, just weird. Question. When you were in Vietnam, did you see any like walking apes or. And he was like, actually yeah, we were around this area and we would see him all the time. And like, here's what happened and here's what they looked. And I was like, oh my goodness. I can't, I can't comprehend. I'm getting this oral history right now because it's like those guys are really almost gone. It was awesome.
Michael McMillan
That is wild. That's such weird stuff. Okay, speaking of seeing things walking around, let's get into what's happening in Ohio right now.
Jeremiah Byron
Okay. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
So we're recording this not to date it, but, but, but we should since it's the middle of a, of a Bigfoot flap. This is March 11th and this episode will not come out for a week. So I'm sure a lot more is gonna happen between now and then. You're giggling because I'm sure you already know what's happening. You said it was in. You said it's been insane. Tell me about your week. Tell us a little bit about your week.
Jeremiah Byron
All right, so this, this happened, started a few days ago, where. So for my social media accounts, I will. When there's online Bigfoot databases and they'll get reports and I'll make videos of them, like, hey, this happened, blah, blah, blah. And usually it's not a huge deal, Right. And so there was one in Mana Mana. I gotta say it right, because the local Manitoua read me out. It's Mantua Manaway Center.
Michael McMillan
Manaway. Okay.
Jeremiah Byron
Ohio. Right. So northeast. And so this, this guy sees a. Let me get my map up here. He sees a nice.
Michael McMillan
And I'm going to put a map up on the YouTube video as well so people can reference this in. Riley, it's in the show notes right now on the doc if you want to take a look at the.
Jeremiah Byron
Thank you.
Michael McMillan
Updated map of what I'm calling the Bigfoot Ohio outbreak.
Jeremiah Byron
Oh, that's a great name. So, okay, so I make the first video. It's about a guy who in Manaway center has a sighting of a nine foot tall brown Sasquatch. And I'm like. But the weird thing is, so I make the video and then I get a person hit me up on TikTok right away and like, hey, same area. But the next day on the 7th, I had a sighting. We were walking around the trail near the edge of the woods. Heard heavy footsteps. Thought it was a deer, but it was slow, spaced out. We saw something that was 7 to 8ft tall, covered in Dark brown hair, long arms that hung low by each side. So that was.
Michael McMillan
Are these taking place in like a. More nature, like out in the woods, or is this like happening in like suburbia or like, give us what's the landscape.
Jeremiah Byron
So, yeah, Northeast Ohio, it's. It's wooded. It's. It's pretty wooded in spots. Absolutely. Okay. A little bit of America's heartland, but it's some wooded areas for sure. So the seventh, I take that report, then it all comes down on the ninth. So the ninth is where it gets wild. So I see another sighting on the Bigfoot mapping project, which Shout out, that's a great site.
Michael McMillan
Been there.
Jeremiah Byron
There's a sighting where a guy was like, hey, it's off 8 foot tall, black Sasquatch over in Garrettsville, which is a few miles east. And I was like, oh, that's weird. Okay. So I made a video about that. And then a guy reaches out on TikTok and he's like, hey, an hour ago, me and my buddy were around Garrettsville. We're hiking the Headwaters Trail and we see a 10 foot tall Sasquatch and covered in black hair. And I was like, okay, yeah, I actually called the guy up, which I was, I gotta start calling people to figure out if this is legit, so. Because I'm starting to put stuff out into the world and hey, there's consequences when you do that. So I was like, is there weird stuff that you notice? And he's like, well, the weird thing was when it grunted at us, it turned its head and it had to turn its shoulders instead of its neck. And I was like, oh, snap. That's a great. Wow, that's a great pattern. And the other thing he said, he was like, it was walking around like it was on stilts. And I was like, oh, that's weird. I've never heard that. Okay, so that's Garrett's sort of like
Michael McMillan
big loping, sort of side, side walking. That's kind of what I pictured, I guess.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, it's. It's so stilts. Later on in the day, a individual reach. People start reaching out to me in email because it's starting to pick up. And like, I'm starting to get a lot of email now. And it's all from the same area. I'm like, oh, no, what's going on? This is weird. This hasn't happened since the 70s. And so a lady reaches out to me on the 9th, and this happened an hour after they saw it. So they live in a wooded area in Windham. Ohio. Now we're going southeast a few miles. And so her mom, an older lady, is always looking out the window in her house and she sees a six foot tall brown sasquatch run out of the woods by the neighbor's property and then run back into the woods. All right? And so the cool thing about this one is that she is a skeptic. She doesn't believe in Bigfoot. And her quote to me was, I know what I saw, but I don't know what I saw. And I was like, that is so amazing. So 70 year old lady, she had nothing to lose. So there's that, right? And so then the next morning, so things are just like, I'm starting to get like a lot. I'm starting to have to weed through stuff. There's AI stuff in there. I get an.
Michael McMillan
When you say AI stuff, what do you mean by AI generated stuff?
Jeremiah Byron
Like people are just, people are using ChatGPT and they're like, write me a Bigfoot story. And it's very evident that that's what it is because it has the M dashes and it's like, not this but this. And it's like, okay, another one.
Michael McMillan
Right?
Riley Bray
But guys, don't do that, don't do that.
Jeremiah Byron
It's not cool. Guys, knock it off. This guy in Newton Township, the 10th, he reaches out, it's early morning, he's like, I got.
Michael McMillan
So this is yesterday morning as we record this.
Jeremiah Byron
We're on the 10th now. Exactly yesterday. So I'm like, okay, can I talk to you on the phone? He's like, yes, but I need to be anonymous. I'm like, that's fine, sir. So I talked to him. He's like, I was outside or I was out up at 4am Taking my German shepherd outside. We hit the door and the German shepherd starts freaking out and lunging towards the tree line. And this guy looks out there and he's like, I see something that's dark, a dark shadowy figure out there. And he's like, I've got bear on my property, but I don't have any bear that are 9 to 10ft tall. And he's like, we got back inside. And once my dog got inside, it was just like pretty much cowering and shivering in fear for a very long time. And he was like super shook up. He was like, this can't get out what my name is. I need to be anonymous. It will just destroy my life. Very emotional, right? So there's that. I also then later that day got a report from a lady from 8pm on the 9th. So the day before is when this happens. They were driving from Streetsboro over to Hudson. They're driving down the road. They just passed over this creek. There is a Sasquatch walking down the side of the road into oncoming traffic. And so they're like, whoa, what's going on? They had to swerve to not hit it. It was so close that the daughter could have reached her arm out and hit it. It was like, feet away. And the interesting thing. So that one was, that was Streetsboro, six and a half foot tall, brown. And it was walking a little weird as well. It looked kind of stilted. Right. So then, now we're up to, like, I just talked to this witness less than an hour and a half ago. And so this is Lake Milton. Okay? So this is further south. We've been going southeast. Now we're going south. This is Salt of the Earth, lady. I was able to talk on the phone. She's almost 70. You wouldn't want to mess with her. You'd want to have her on your side, right? She was looking out the window at her house. She saw something big, darkish, red, brown, rust colored, moving fast into the woods. Her quote was, it didn't seem like no deer. It was going towards her pond, went under a tree and underbrush, and then seemed to disappear into the woods. She said it was 6 to 7ft tall. She said it wasn't a bear because of the color, and it had big, fat, round arms that were muscular. She hadn't checked the area for tracks because she'd been too busy to do it. But the cool thing is that I have a boots on the ground researcher I'm partnering with. And if I get something where it passes the sniff test, I talk to the witness. And it's legit that I'm like, dude, go, go, go, go, go talk to this person now. And so we are getting updates, and I'm gonna have the guy on my show and get like, okay, what happened the last few days for you? And where are we at?
Michael McMillan
So, Jeremiah, how close are you just getting in your car and driving to Ohio right now?
Jeremiah Byron
That's a great question there. How do I answer this?
Michael McMillan
I mean, I know you have obligations as a family man, but I'm just.
Jeremiah Byron
Obligations at a family man as a family man. That only allow me to leave the state a few times a year. Okay. So it's probably best that I can't go out there because I don't know when I would come back. This could be A while. But thankfully, a guy reached out to me right off the bat, and he was like, hey, I'm local. I've been doing this for years. I can help you out. And he's got a whole research out there. His name is Jeremiah.
Michael McMillan
I know how these stories go. These people want to steal your glory. Don't let this man take your glory, Jeremiah. Okay?
Jeremiah Byron
I don't care. I don't care about the glory anyways. I'm just like, I don't care. Of course I didn't ask for this flap. Like, yeah. But it's like, at the point where I have to do. I do podcast work. I do regular interviews. And then my nights are like, okay. Figure out, like, what's going on in Ohio. It's nuts, dude. I love it.
Michael McMillan
So what do you think's going on in Ohio?
Jeremiah Byron
Oh, that's a good question. So if you look at the map which you're going to have posted. Yeah. Which is awesome.
Michael McMillan
I'll put it up right now.
Jeremiah Byron
Again, you can see that the reports seem to be moving east and then southeast. So then the question is, okay, why is this happening right now? And so there's some theories going around. Either it's because of the weird weather in Ohio right now. It is very weird, as it is weird everywhere else.
Michael McMillan
Nationally, it's been so strange.
Jeremiah Byron
Nationally, it's weird. There is a tornado that just went through that area where it was crazy and it messed up a lot of stuff. Some people are also saying, well, maybe it's the fault line near Illinois. And I'm like, dude, don't say that. Because I'm like, that means I'm gone if that goes. Like, I live out in Iowa, so I think, though. So it's either something's happening that we can't tell, or it's gonna happen, or some people are. Well, maybe it's like they're heading to, like, some mating area that happens every few years. Interestingly enough, someone actually put up a sign in Manaway Center. Someone sent it to me where it's like, caution, Bigfoot mating area. I was like, well, at least you guys are having fun with it. But yeah.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. What?
Riley Bray
I think they're headed to Lake Milton for spring break.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, Spring break at Lake Milton.
Jeremiah Byron
Rock and roll.
Michael McMillan
So is there. There is a river along there, like the Coyhoga river in that area? I think it is an article that I had pulled up and mentioned that. So do we know how closely they're following alongside the. Like, let me see the bodies of water this Is from. Let me see this article that I just pulled up that you are referenced in. This is from March 9th, and it taught. It's in Portage county. Talks about. Yeah. The Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Is that in that area?
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, so that is in the area. I think that's a little bit west. But there is a ton of Bigfoot activity that happens in that. And that's a national park. And it's like, very, very out in the open. That. Yes, there are. There are Bigfoot sightings in here. But yeah, that is as further west. So, I mean, potentially that could be related as well. I mean, if you look through it, Streetsboro is more into the urban area, and then you've got, you know, that connection there. So it's definitely worth. We're thinking about.
Michael McMillan
So I think. Yeah, I think this. They're saying that traditionally there are stories of the Minerva, obviously the Minerva monster.
Jeremiah Byron
Yes.
Michael McMillan
Cuyahoga Valley national park and Salt Fork State park all have, like, history of Bigfoot lore in those areas.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah. Yeah. Because I was just curious.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. So Manawa is a village with a population of 1000 people. Locate roughly 1, 000 people located along the Coyoga River. So, yes.
Jeremiah Byron
I'm just curious if they're. Man away.
Michael McMillan
Man away.
Jeremiah Byron
Thank you. And I don't want.
Michael McMillan
I. I don't want that. Apologize. Listen, I'm not a man away who wants to run away from y'.
Jeremiah Byron
All.
Michael McMillan
You know what I'm saying? So don't come at me. So I just wonder if they're, like. Can we tell if they're, like, moving along with a body of water? That's sort of what I'm curious about.
Jeremiah Byron
Oh, man, that's a really good question. There is a. I gotta look at the map real quick just because I'm gonna butcher. Butcher the name. It is down by Newton Falls, Mahoning River. Some people that are really digging into this think that they're following the Mahoning river, which goes through Newton Falls and Newton Township down to Lake Milton, I believe. And, you know, as the old movie says, they follow the creeks. They follow body of waters. That's, you know, like in Iowa, you've got. The Des Moines river is just full of sightings and towns by that river. But that's what I've heard. Some people are theorizing they're following the Mahoning river down in the southeast part of the.
Michael McMillan
And it seems clear if we're taking the eyewitness accounts at face value, that this is a they. This Seems to be either a family grouping, as your website had pointed out, or possibly or, or at least a group because we have 9 and 8 foot tall. We have the 10 foot stilted one, and maybe this 10 foot one is seen twice in Headwaters and in Newton Township. I mean, we have no way of knowing. Seven foot rust colored, six foot brown colored, six and a half foot brown. Maybe that's the same animal. Eight foot black, eight foot brown. So it seems like there are multiple animals or creatures that people are seeing based on the hair color here.
Jeremiah Byron
Oh, I would definitely agree. And so that's led other people to theorize where. Sorry, I was just thinking of the whole like ancient alien astronaut theorist thing. But it's different to theorize. Maybe it's some kind of migration route too. Because I've talked to people from this area and they're like, dude, we have to deal with this every year. It's just that we really haven't, you know, some. I think there needs to be better documentation about it, to be honest.
Michael McMillan
So, so that was my next question is like, are the people reporting this, does this feel unusual to them or is this about the time of year or every couple years that like, big. Because this definitely, like we said, feels like a flap of like, we haven't had this many cluster of sightings in an area like this in such a long time. But you're, you're hearing maybe from people that like, oh, no, we see these things every year around this time.
Jeremiah Byron
A lot of the locals have been like, hey, yeah, we see Bigfoot here, Bigfoot here, all the time in Northeast. Ohi I think that though maybe this might be a little bit unique in that it is a flap. And I think combined with the whole age of the Internet and it's so easy for social media and people to contact and be like, oh yeah, I had this happen and watch videos. But I mean, stuff like this really hasn't happened. I'm thinking of two times the late 1970s, 78 was a crazy year for Bigfoot sightings across the US and then my buddy Steve Culls was just telling me about a flap he had in the early 2000s in Whitehall, New York. Okay.
Michael McMillan
Oh yeah, Whitehall, which also has a history of, of stuff there. So what comes next? Like, you just watch and let the reports come in. Like, what do, what do, what do you do? What do we, what do we need to do about this Bigfoot flap?
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, so the thing that I'm. Because I'm starting to be interviewed a lot and I don't want it to be a thing where people are freaking out because it could so easily be that.
Michael McMillan
And so we don't want any monster posses.
Jeremiah Byron
We don't want any monster posses in man. We don't want anyone.
Riley Bray
Leave your pitchforks and shotguns at home.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, yeah, please don't. But it's like, what do I do if I see one? Well, okay, one, don't run. You never run. Because that triggers the predator, predator protocol where they're like, okay, chase them. Right? Yeah. So don't run. Just be like, okay, let's get out of the area slowly. Let's be safe. But I don't know like where it is going to end. I just, I'm a type of person where it's like this has to be documented so we can figure out what's going on. But it's definitely getting to the point where like the national eye is looking at it.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, I was going to say Ohio.
Jeremiah Byron
Okay.
Michael McMillan
So local news is already obviously getting involved.
Jeremiah Byron
It's way bigger than that now.
Michael McMillan
So what can you tell us? What if. Have you got any like national news places reach out to you and for comment?
Jeremiah Byron
I mean I've had stuff where my stuff is showing up in like the New York Post and I've been interviewed by a Fox affiliate and then that was on the main Fox News.
Michael McMillan
So the big national tabloid level stuff is definitely picking this up. So that's wild.
Jeremiah Byron
It's. It's also going to be like. And this will be out way past then there's a potential like there's going to start to be like national, nationally news stations where they're known and trusted and not like, you know, like you're saying there, that could be happening as soon as tomorrow, which will put a whole other group of eyes on it because it'll be. This is gonna definitely.
Michael McMillan
It sounds like this could get crazy and it'll be interesting to see what happens as people are listening to this a week into the future. Because this also is reminding me, Riley, and I'm sure Jeremiah, you've thought of the same thing of that, of the, of the UFO Jersey Drone UFO flap that we're having a year ago in January. And that kind of followed the same track of like starting on the Internet. Tick tock, people reporting these things. Then you're getting kind of your more sensationalistic papers who are always the first to pick up these stories because they love printing the stuff and talking about this stuff stuff. And then it really got like big national, like incredible news. So it Got real and people were suddenly like, what the hell is going on with this stuff?
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah. So, I mean, it's a thing where I did not ask for this. Like, I've been doing this for seven years and it didn't you.
Michael McMillan
Jeremiah, didn't. Just a little bit manifest.
Jeremiah Byron
I would rather just go back to talking to people from Oregon, you know.
Michael McMillan
But yeah, well, so, I mean, this is exciting times though, right? I mean, this is really is.
Jeremiah Byron
And.
Michael McMillan
And if you had to say, obviously you've, You've heard the rumors. What do you. What do you think? What is your gut telling you is happening here? And how long do you think this might last?
Jeremiah Byron
So easy answer is, is I. I don't know. I. I've heard some people from the area, well, it may cool down around May. It's like, oh man, that's a wild guys. So I really don't know. I am seriously, really trying to take the time to, if it's a legitimate witness, talk to them and then have it investigated. So I'm not just throwing everything out there. I mean, there is so much that is. And I'm prioritizing just visual sightings. Like there's so much where people are hearing wood knocks. They're hearing like trees get break broken, all sorts of weird stuff. But like, there's so much coming in that it's like you gotta prioritize the visual stuff.
Michael McMillan
You know, Is there any weird sound or visual thing? The stilt. The stilt stuff sounds weird to me. The style, the walking style is definitely one of those for me. Is there any other phenomenon that you're seeing repeating in these stories that you're like, okay, this is, this is like, I need to make note of this because this is maybe the second or third time I've heard this.
Jeremiah Byron
So I would say, excuse me, the stilt walking thing. And then the only vocalizations I believe that have been used have been people have heard grunting, which is weird. That's. That's not like normal. Usually you hear like whooping or like. Ohio is famous for the Ohio howl that was first recorded by Matt Moneymaker back in the 90s. And people aren't hearing that. I mean, they're hearing grunting, which is very, very strange. So those are the two patterns that come to mind for me right away.
Michael McMillan
Time to look at your history books, kids, because let's pick up some of those old, you know, John Keel books and all this stuff. Because Jeremiah's right, like. Like that Pennsylvania Bigfoot flap happened for almost two years that, you know, We. You could be getting weird stories out of this area for more than just a couple months. You know, it might get quiet for a little while, but as. As our history of high strangeness has taught us, like, you know, sometimes these things go on for six, seven months to, you know, up to two years before things really die down. So I'm very excited and I hope you will keep us personally updated as a correspondent as to what you're seeing, what you're hearing and seeing coming out of Ohio right now. Riley, what do you. I'm curious what you think about this stuff when we're getting mass sightings like this happening.
Riley Bray
I mean, it's really cool. It's like all these unrelated witnesses having a very similar experience, and the fact that you were then chronicling this and drawing the connections and maintaining the stories and putting it into a larger context. It's cool, it's exciting, and it is like, very much a product of the Internet age and the speed at which people can connect over these things. And it's sort of like, well, maybe this is sort of like tip of the iceberg kind of stuff where now that because all these tools exist and the ways that people can connect exist and people like you exist that are wanting to collect these stories and catalog them, we're starting to see these things emerge. And it's like, it's cool and exciting, and I'm excited for you to continue to gather all of this and present it.
Jeremiah Byron
Wouldn't it be awesome? And I feel like I can say this here because I don't want to freak out the mainstream news I've been on. Wouldn't it be cool if something like this, where it just gets a lot of eyes, and then eventually the government is like, all right, guys, let's have a chat about this. Turns out it's real and all cards are on this. That would be amazing, right?
Michael McMillan
Be great. It's not going to happen, but that would be great. I think it's more likely. I'm just hoping that we get some, like, really good lore out of this. I'm hoping someone take a photo. And that was my next thing. I want. I want a photo, I want a video. I want stuff that's going to come out of this that we're going to be talking about for the next 10, 15 years that future podcasters are going to be talking about.
Jeremiah Byron
That.
Michael McMillan
Jeremiah, you could write a book about or be interviewed about before we move on. I was curious. It's just a nerdy question. When did people start who were writing into start to become aware that other people were experiencing these things as well. When did they start to refer what was happening in the news?
Jeremiah Byron
That's really good. That's a man. That's a good question. I would say it was. It was either late on the 9th or it was late on the 9th. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Okay.
Jeremiah Byron
I started to notice that. Yeah, no, that's. I would say late on the 9th. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
I just think for local, you know, for the story, it's. It's always interesting to be like, when are people starting to be aware that, like, they're not alone? Because the first couple eyewitnesses, the first two days, it. It felt like independent eyewitnesses were just coming in and not saying, hey, I know this stuff's going on right now, but at a certain point, people. And this is also. I think it'll also lead to people either misidentifying or keeping their eyes peeled to see things that they may not have seen because now their peepers are out, you know?
Jeremiah Byron
Right, Exactly. So, yeah, 100%.
Michael McMillan
This is.
Jeremiah Byron
This is.
Michael McMillan
This is an interesting point in the story when the group hysteria might start taking over. And it is the time when, like, monster posses might show up. So as someone who's read these stories throughout history over time, and, you know, I'm like, okay, we can probably. You could probably look back at a few of these things and predict what's going to happen next.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah.
Michael McMillan
No, at some point, a sheriff is going to make a press conference and get upset. That's happening. I would say by the end of the weekend, there's going to be a sheriff telling people to get their shot, put their shotguns away way. And I'm excited for the sheriff moment.
Riley Bray
And hopefully mayor is going to show up in a costume.
Michael McMillan
Mayor's going to show up in a costume or something. Some local, rich eccentric is going to ask someone to capture one of these things. We're going to get some private, private parties out there investigating. The Bigfoot hunters are going to be there. By I mean ultimate. They're obviously, they're going to be there. They've got. They're.
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, yeah, yeah. It's overrun with Bigfoot researchers right now. They got there quick, like, from all. They're just like, oh, it's happening.
Michael McMillan
Let's go. Like, oh, man, the infighting, all this stuff, the plaster casts, all this stuff. This is the stuff that I'm looking forward to. It's exciting time. And let's keep our eyes peeled for extra phenomenon like UFOs, weird lights, other stuff that's going to be happening because orbs, orbs. So I, I think also like someone needs to be collecting that stuff right now. Let's keep our eyes peeled on, on UFO reports and this area.
Jeremiah Byron
I think that's a great, that's a great point. Actually. I think I will start asking that question as well.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. Cuz let's get it all, let's get all the weirdness. It's got to come. We got to, we know what to look for now, so let's look for it. All right, quick break. When we come back, we're going to close out with a game that we love to play with all of our guests. And Jeremiah, we, we will get yelled at if we don't play with you. By the way, amazing work. This is so exciting.
Riley Bray
Keep it up.
Jeremiah Byron
Thank you. Chronic migraine is 15 or more headache days a month each lasting four hours or more. Botox Onobotulinum toxin prevents headaches in adults with chronic migraine before they start. It's not for those with 14 or fewer headache days a month. It prevents on average eight to nine headache days a month versus six to seven for placebo. Prescription Botox is injected by your doctor. Effects of Botox may spread hours to weeks after injection causing serious symptoms. Alert your doctor right away as difficulty swallowing, speaking, breathing, eye problems or muscle weakness can be signs of a life threatening condition. Patients with these conditions before injection are at highest risk risk. Side effects may include allergic reactions, neck and injection site pain, fatigue and headache. Allergic reactions can include rash, welts, asthma symptoms and dizziness. Don't receive Botox if there's a skin infection. Tell your doctor your medical history, muscle or nerve conditions including als, Lou Gehrig's disease, myasthenia gravis or Lambert Eatin syndrome and medications including botulinum toxins as these may increase the risk of serious side effects. Why wait? Ask your doctor. Visit botoxchronicmigraine.com or call 1-800-44-BOTOX to learn more. I just got up there and I
Riley Bray
was just like, oh my God, thank you, thank you.

And then I heard someone, anyone, please help. He's like Superman being able to carry me off the mount. The award winning Tell me what happened podcast from OnStar is back.
Jeremiah Byron
New emergencies, new heroes. Find out what happens in season six six of Tell me what Happened. Out now.
Michael McMillan
Okay, Jeremiah, we can't let you leave without playing a game that we play with all of our guests. We're going to go down a list of phenomena. Rapid fire. You got to decide right now whether you believe it or not. If you're open to it, you're gonna say, believe it. If you're not open to it, you're gonna say, this is a game that we call Or Believe it.
Jeremiah Byron
Can I say bull crap? Because I'm like George Fly from Back.
Michael McMillan
You can also. I. I had a. I had a sixth sense. You can also say BS if you want to. You can say BS if that's okay.

Wow. Jeremiah. Now, this was the older list, but I threw this in here for you because it has more obscure monsters, and I knew that you would know what they are.
Jeremiah Byron
I didn't have to explain it to you.
Michael McMillan
Yeah. So if people are like, that's not. This year's list is like, yeah. Because I don't. I have to explain what Skunk Ape is to this guy. Everybody, okay? He's getting the expert list.
Riley Bray
You get the expert. Yeah, exactly. Dust off a classic.
Michael McMillan
Yeah, exactly.
Jeremiah Byron
Kids are gonna come after me. They're gonna be like, all right, buddy, let's talk about that.
Michael McMillan
By the way, someone wrote in saying, shouldn't it be La Chupacabra instead of El Chupacabra? And it's not feminine because the. Literally trans. I looked this up because I was like, good question. It literally translates to goat sucker. And there's no gender assigned to it, so it. It becomes El Chupacabra, even though it has the feminine ending. So that was a. A question posed by. If people. Give me one second, I'll tell you exactly who asked that question. It was our friend Martin. So, Martin, there's the answer to your question. I looked it up for you. If you have questions about what you've seen in Ohio or if you have a Bigfoot report that you want to talk to Jeremiah about? He's a little busy this week, so if it's outside of Manaway, I'd say maybe, you know, do it. You want to hear. Okay, great.
Jeremiah Byron
It might be a few days to get back to you, but still do it. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Where can people write to you? And also where can people hear and find your podcast?
Jeremiah Byron
So I would say best place to do both of those things. Bigfootsocietypodcast.com has a contact form and all the links you would ever need are on that website as well. So there you go. And also the sighting map is there so you can follow along with the Ohio locations and the over a thousand other locations I've taken and how to listen to those. So.
Michael McMillan
And if you want updates to the story, obviously we need to follow you on Instagram because you're dropping stuff over there. And that's what at Bigfoot Society?
Jeremiah Byron
Yeah, it's usually Bigfoot Society, except for TikTok. I think it's like Bigfoot Society. But again, the links are all on bigfootsocietypodcast.com and you can go there.
Michael McMillan
I'm going to put a link in the show notes to that that I'm excited to see what has happened between now and the time that this episode comes out. I, I really hope this is your, your glory moment, Jeremiah. I'm very excited. I, I, I'm, I'm. We're gonna figure out how we can get involved if we need to get out there ourselves. Maybe we do. You never know. You know, Bigfoot's calling us from Ohio. If you're listening in Ohio.
Riley Bray
Siren song of Ohio.
Michael McMillan
If you live in Ohio, and I know some of you do. Rachel, I know you're there. Find, get these stories, get them to us, we'll get them to Jeremiah. Or just get, go straight to the source and get your eyewitness reports. We want to hear.
Jeremiah Byron
Thank you. I appreciate that.
Michael McMillan
Jeremiah, Byron, thank you so much for being here. We're gonna have you back. We want updates as things develop, so. All right, kids, so, you know, bump our email up to the top of your, your inbox, because vip. Yeah, that's right.
Jeremiah Byron
Thank you so much for being here.
Michael McMillan
This has been a blast.
Jeremiah Byron
Thank you.
Michael McMillan
Now that is what I call Sasquatch spring break spirit. Okay.
Riley Bray
That's right.
Michael McMillan
Enthusiasm. Yeah. Like love. Sometimes, you know, we have a guest on the show that makes me fall in love with Bigfoot all over again. Yeah, you know, I'm excited. I'm very. It's hard, you know, when you're like, you know, this episode's not coming out right away. I'm just excited to see what happens.
Riley Bray
Yeah. I mean, it definitely sounds like a developing story. And he is the man for the job. To chronicle this.
Michael McMillan
He is the man.
Riley Bray
The man for the moment.
Michael McMillan
He is the man for the moment. I agree. He's been waiting for this moment.
Riley Bray
Yes. Building. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Bigfoot history has called upon him to step up and. And start. Start taking. You know, taking his place. Yeah. In the annals of Sasquatch history. So, hey, man, I'm. I'm gonna toast a Bigfoot beer to. At poolside right now.
Riley Bray
That's right.
Michael McMillan
To Jeremiah. Great work. Jeremiah.
Riley Bray
Break at Lake Milton, baby. Yeah.
Michael McMillan
Like, Bigfoot. Spring break at Lake Milton. Before we head out, Riley, is there anything you want to swing by Collector's corner? Anything that you're watching, reading, collecting? You just. You saw some elephants, obviously. So what's. Anything that you want to plug of yours coming up? Tomi, I know, is gonna have a bunch of shows this spring. I don't know if you have dates in front of you, but I'll make sure that those dates are happening.
Riley Bray
The only thing I want to plug right now is a movie that a friend of mine made and friend of the show.
Michael McMillan
Yeah.
Riley Bray
Mike Mitchell is in. It is called the Napa Boys.
Michael McMillan
I cannot wait to see this.
Riley Bray
It's in. It's in limited theaters right now currently. So please go see it if you can. It is. I. It's so funny, and it's so insane, and you cannot believe they got this movie made. And it's really. They're saving comedy, you guys. I love it.
Michael McMillan
I can't wait.
Riley Bray
It's a great movie. Armin is, like. Armin Weitzman is like, a co writer, co creator, co star. One of my favorite people in the world. I've known him since we were little children. I'm so proud. And this movie, I saw it at Tiff at the premiere, and it's insane. It's so funny. You will love it. Go see the Napa Boys any way you can, okay.
Michael McMillan
Figure it out. I love it. I love that plug. That's fantastic. I cannot wait to see it. I've been sitting out of going to a movie theater because I've had this cough, but I'm getting back. I'm gonna go. I definitely want to see Napa Boys. Top of my list. There's also a movie coming out soon called, which is, like, the opposite. It's got the big Hollywood machine behind it. Go see Napa Boys. But, but there's a movie coming out called Project Hail Mary, which is Ryan Gosling sci fi movie. I am reading the book. I'm about 80 pages from the end of the book. And this book is one of the most enjoyable books I have read. And I can't remember how long. Science fiction, speculative science fiction,
Jeremiah Byron
it's.
Michael McMillan
I don't want to give too much away, but it's one of those like, astronaut has to save the planet kind of storylines.
Jeremiah Byron
Big stakes.
Michael McMillan
It's written by Andy Weir, the guy who wrote the Martian, which I've not read nor seen the film of. I'm definitely going to read the book after I'm done with this because this book is so good. It's so entertaining. It, it's like a page turner. It's also one of the nerdiest books I've ever read. The lead guy is like a science teacher who's very, very smart. There's like, Riley, you would love this book. Sound plays a very important part to the heart of the story. It is just the nerdiest, most fun, very exciting book that I have read in a long time. I cannot recommend Project Hail Mary enough. Go check it out from the library. Go pick up a copy. And I would say I'm so glad I'm reading it before the movie comes out because I've heard the movie's great. It's directed by Chris Miller of Lord and Miller, the guys who did like the Lego Movie and Into the Spider Verse. But man, I love this book. So I highly recommend it for the Club Scouts and Riley. You would dig the fuck out of this book. It's so cool.
Riley Bray
So I saw the preview for the movie and yeah, looks good.
Michael McMillan
You would love this book and I can't tell you why without spoiling some of the big fun surprises, but I just implore you. It's a very easy read too. It's breezy, it's, the pace is so good in it.
Riley Bray
Yeah, it's good for spring break.
Michael McMillan
It's a great spring break, everybody. Spring break. All right, everyone. We will see you Friday for more Sasquatch spring break fun over on BCC, the other side of bcc.supercast.com three bonus episodes every month, ad free episodes and cosmic tracks from Riley. Riley Bray
We don't know what's going to happen.
Michael McMillan
Just like any spring break, we might extend this vacation. We're, you know, it's, it's having a Friday I think some of it's going to bleed over into next week. I'm going to talk a little bit about this story that's happening back home in Kansas. Got Bigfoot thing there. Anyway, love you all. We'll see you next week for an all new episode of bcc. Until then, good night and go get regressed and go send your Bigfoot stories to Jeremiah Sasquatch.

Bigfoot Collectors Club | March 18, 2026
Hosts: Michael McMillian and Riley Bray
Guest: Jeremiah Byron, Host of Bigfoot Society Podcast
This special episode of Bigfoot Collectors Club dives into the recent surge of Bigfoot sightings in Northeast Ohio—a bona fide Sasquatch "outbreak" reminiscent of legendary 1970s flaps. Paranormal documentarian and podcaster Jeremiah Byron details the week’s unprecedented cluster of reports, shares behind-the-scenes stories from his years interviewing witnesses, and discusses the nuances, challenges, and high weirdness of being at the center of a Bigfoot storm. The discussion is rich with stories—personal, historical, and from the breaking news—grappling with phenomena at the intersection of cryptozoology, psychology, and cultural folklore.
"A lot of people...have been like, 'Hey, thank you. I can go to sleep now.' ...I thought I was just having fun, but it is actually making a difference." —Jeremiah Byron (09:29)
Jeremiah’s Own Encounters
Multiple expeditions to unnamed, active sites in Iowa and deep woods of Oregon's Oak Ridge and Willamette National Forests
Experiences include:
"It's like someone snapped their fingers—'I release you'—then back. It was so weird, guys." —Jeremiah Byron, regarding paralysis in the woods ([21:13])
"Half a second later, I drive by this pine tree...and I see what looks like the silhouette of an 8 and a half foot tall Sasquatch—and then it just disappears." ([16:45])
Witnessing High Strangeness Patterns
Sightings Cluster (March 7–11)
Jeremiah’s Work During the Flap
Witness Patterns & Social Response
"The reports seem to be moving east and then southeast...some people are theorizing they're following the Mahoning River." —Jeremiah Byron ([47:30], [50:39])
"Her quote to me was, 'I know what I saw, but I don't know what I saw.' And I was like, that is so amazing." —Jeremiah Byron, on a 70-year-old skeptical witness ([41:12])
Possible explanations/projected patterns:
Distinctive Details
"Just collecting the stories and finding pattern and similarities... is interesting enough, whether or not you can be like, is this objectively, provably true." —Riley Bray ([31:15])
Mount Hood, Oregon: Pair throws glow stick in creek—witnesses see 8-9ft creature transform into a cloud of smoke and float away ([35:21])
Back-to-back “smoke” Sasquatches: Similar stories from West Virginia, with cloud transformation and manipulation of human movement at a distance—ties to Native American lore ([35:57])
Military Encounters:
Favorite Quote:
"I have my own personal map...over a thousand dots of people I've talked to. There’s so much on the map." —Jeremiah Byron ([34:10])
Patterns Across Reports
What’s Next?
Michael and Riley express genuine excitement for the major wave of Bigfoot reports, seeing Jeremiah as the perfect chronicler for this unfolding story. Both encourage Ohio listeners to report stories and keep an eye out for more high strangeness: “Let’s get all the weirdness. It’s got to come.”
“Like love. Sometimes, you know, we have a guest on the show that makes me fall in love with Bigfoot all over again.” —Michael McMillian ([71:45])
