Thank you, Bill. It is Friday, June 26, 2026. Here's what's happening today in America. Temporary means temporary. Second Amendment wins again. Still searching in Venezuela and Caitlin Clark punched in the neck. It's all coming up. The bill's gonna be here with your message of the day. But first, the supreme court in a 6 to 3 decision overturned a lower court that blocked a practice that limited the number of people who could apply for asylum each day. Pro immigration anti border activists said this policy created a humanitarian crisis as thousands of people settled in makeshift shelters on the other side of the border awaiting their turn for days or months. The policy is still in effect, but so few people are coming to and even attempting to cross the border that this administration doesn't really use it. The court also said that the president can end a program known as temporary protected status. Lower court said the president can't end temporary protected status, emphasis on the word temporary. Well, the Supreme Court said they are temporary, but now we have 350,000 Haitians, 6,100 Syrians, among others, whose status is now in jeopardy. Haitians were granted six months of Temporary Protected Status back in 2010. The Supreme Court also ruled against a Hawaii law. Most states will allow you to carry a gun one way or the other, either concealed or open carry, but there's some places where you can't. So a gun free zone. Well, Hawaii passed a law that says you can't carry a gun anywhere unless you have express consent from the property owner. So every place is a gun free zone unless you have express consent for particular places. Six to three. Again, the Supreme Court said no, that is a severe restriction on the daily activities of lawful gun owners in violation of the Second Amendment. Venezuelans still searching for survivors beneath multiple collapsed buildings. Two earthquakes, 7.2 and 7.5. And the way the Richter scale works, that 7.5 earthquake is 2.8 times more energetic than the 7.2. At least 235 people have died in response to the earthquake, among other actions from our administration, the Treasury Department waived sanctions and to allow more relief to make it to the country. Caitlin Clark, the most popular player in the wnba, was playing a game against the Phoenix team. Who? Everyone, I mean, we all know the name of the Phoenix WNBA team, right? The Mercury, of course. And while she was laying on the court on her back, a player on the other team pushed down on her neck with a closed fist and put all of her weight right on Clark's throat. No foul was called on the play. The coach said it was egregious, clearly disrespectful. After the game, the Phoenix Mercury player was suspended for one game and fined $1,000. I'm Mike Slater from the podcast Politics by Faith, the great pill O'Reilly has your message of the day next.

A few weeks ago, I picked up Mao Zedong's Little Red Book. It's a first edition, very hard to get. 1966 printed in China, exported here. And there's a stamp in it by the US Customs authorities saying, yeah, it's okay for you to have it, but we don't endorse the communistic principles of Mao Zedong. Now in the House of Representatives, we are going to have at least 10 communists, probably more, as three very, very left wing people have just been elected from New York City. Now, most Americans, they hear Communists. It doesn't mean much to them. But if you really know what these politicians in Washington, the ones who were elected on the progressive platforms, if you really want to know, they are for seizure of assets. They want your stuff and they want to take it by force. In New York City, Mayor Mandani is doing that by regulations. He's making it almost impossible for landlords to buy and maintain apartments. There are so many rules and regulations, so many taxes, so many expenditures. So what's happening is that poor people might get an apartment, but nobody's going to clean it up or fix anything that goes wrong. I'm Bill O'Reilly. I approve the message by writing it. You can reach me billoriley.com bill@billoreilly.com Name in town. If you wish to opine now, let's go to the mail. Sue Messer, Henderson, Nevada. Mr. Oh, I heard the Obama library isn't considered a presidential library because they didn't want to follow the guidelines. Sue, that's not true. And if you would tell me where you heard that, I would be very interested. Careful on the social media. I should make a song about it. Careful, careful, careful. David Cash, St. Augustine, Florida. I've read many conflicting stories about the donation of final disposition of the aircraft from Qatar. What are the actual facts? How long will it be? Air Force One? Will it be donated to the Trump Library? I don't know. None of that's been made public. Planes in D.C. looks spiffy to me. It is a gift to the United States, so I doubt it's going to wind up in the President Trump's hands. Sherry Collins, Richmond, Kentucky. But I'd like you to clarify what using your credit card on the Internet means for fraud prevention. I believe most people pay their bills online. Don't, don't. Because if you do and something goes wrong and they don't receive your payment or somebody screws up your host, I write the check, physical check, but in an envelope. Send it out. Okay, though I got a record backed up by my bank. I mean, you're going to send do anything on the Internet financially, sooner or later you're going to get it right between the eyes in a moment, something you might not know.

Now the O'Reilly update brings you something you might not know. America's 250th birthday just a week away. Millions will mark the anniversary with fireworks, lab music, maybe a few libations. The day honors the signing of our founding document, the Declaration of Independence. Here are a few facts about our farewell message to King George. First, July 4th was not the day the Patriots voted for independence. The Continental Congress actually split from Great Britain on July 2, 1776. John Adams was so excited that he wrote to his wife, Abigail, predicting that July 2 would be celebrated by future generations with fireworks, parades and bonfires. So what happened to July 4th? That was simply the day Congress officially adopted the written text of the Declaration. Second, there is a secret message on the back of that document. While it is in a hidden treasure map, there is text on the reserve side. Written upside down at the bottom of the parchment is a line. Original Declaration of Independence, dated 4th July, 1776. This was likely added as a label to keep the document rolled up and organized. Third, it spent World War II at Fort Knox. After the attack on Pearl harbor, government officials worried that Washington, D.C. might be targeted to protect America's founding documents. The Declaration and the US Constitution were packed into a special container sealed with lead, shipped via a guarded train to the Fort Knox Federal Depository in Kentucky. They returned safely to the Capitol in 1944. Finally, the youngest and the oldest signers were 44 years apart. Benjamin Franklin was the oldest person assigned, cementing his legendary status at 70 years old. Edward Rutledge, a lawyer from South Carolina, was the youngest signer at just 26 years. Happy 4th of July war. 2nd of July. Back in a moment.

On Communism & Progressivism:
On Independence Day:
On Financial Security:
O’Reilly’s commentary maintains his trademark directness and skepticism, particularly regarding progressive movements and online financial practices. The tone is conversational, brisk, and occasionally sarcastic (“...we all know the name of the Phoenix WNBA team, right? The Mercury, of course.”).
This episode blends timely news, bold political commentary, and historical trivia, tailored for listeners seeking both quick current affairs updates and O’Reilly’s perspective on the American political and social climate. Notable for its clarity on key Supreme Court rulings, a warning about rising communism/progressivism in U.S. politics, and engaging, little-known Independence Day facts, it’s a dense, info-packed listen true to the "No Spin" brand.
