If you listen to Katz and Cosby, yesterday, you heard the Assistant Secretary for Public affairs for the Department of homeland security, Trisha McLaughlin, really roast the Attorney General of New York State, letitia James. Now, Ms. James has made announcement that she is investigating certain law enforcement officials in New York State that cooperated with ice, with Homeland Security. Why is she investigating? Well, not many people know this, but in the year 2017, then Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an unbelievable executive order that restricts or bars New York State law enforcement from aiding and investigating, arresting or deporting illegal immigrants. Can you believe that? So Cuomo basically said, stand out, you're not to cooperate with the feds. Well, some counties like Oswego, saying, yeah, that's not happening. Nassau county, where I live, same thing that a vice requests help. The local cops, the sheriff's office, whatever it may be, gives them the help. And now Letitia James is investigating those law enforcement people. Here's what Ms. McLaughlin said on Katz and Cosby.

New York Attorney General Letitia James is probing local cops in New York for misconduct for working with the Trump administration and ICE and Homeland Security, according to, according to the New York Post. What do you make of that, Rita?

I just heard when listening to you all, so thank you for the breaking news. I mean, it's unbelievable. They have so many issues right now in New York City. Such a great city has been flooded with illegal immigrants, sanctuary city policies so that we cannot get these child molesters, get these rapists, get these convicted murders, get these gang members out of the city. And for her to spend her time, resources and New York taxpayers of dollars on this is absolutely ridiculous.

But no one is surprised because Ms. James is a far left person and she doesn't hide it. It's not like she snuck into office. See the Cuomo, when he signed this executive order, he wasn't parading this stuff around. He just did all this far left stuff because that's what he felt he his money men wanted and you know, he had Albany, very liberal and so he just did it. But James, totally different. She says, look, I am a far, far left public servant, so if you vote for me, that's what you're getting. I don't admire that because I think that the progressive movement is damaging New York state and the country in tremendous ways. But you can't accuse Letitia James of being furtive. Word of the day, furtive, Sly. She's up front, but the point is that she's using state resources to look at cops who are doing their jobs. So the federal law takes precedence over state law. And, and that's according to constitution because the founding fathers knew you could have a crazy state and we do. California, Massachusetts, New York, Illinois can have crazy states that simply will not obey Congress, the laws passed by Congress. And so in the Constitution it is federal law trumps pardon upon state law. So Letitia James is no case. Why is she wasting her time? Say she brought an indictment against somebody who helped die. It's gonna be thrown out. I mean federal courts could step right in and stop it. But this is all for show. So Ms. James believes that her career hinges on her far left bona fides, that she wants to be governor someday. I don't think it'll ever happen, but that's what she wants. And she's going to continue to play to that crew, hoping that her political career will continue. It's worked so far for her and that's why this is happening.

Episode: BONUS: Letitia James Targets Law Enforcement Who Cooperated With ICE
Release Date: June 19, 2025
In this bonus episode of No Spin News and Analysis, host Bill O’Reilly delves into New York Attorney General Letitia James' recent actions targeting local law enforcement officials who have cooperated with Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). The discussion explores the political underpinnings, legal implications, and the broader impact on New York’s law enforcement landscape.
The episode begins with an analysis of Attorney General Letitia James' announcement to investigate certain New York State law enforcement officials for their cooperation with ICE and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). This move has stirred considerable controversy and debate among political commentators and the public alike.
Political Commentator's Perspective ([00:29] – [05:22])
An unnamed political commentator provides a detailed breakdown of the situation:
Background: In 2017, then-Governor Andrew Cuomo signed an executive order that restricted New York State law enforcement from assisting, investigating, arresting, or deporting illegal immigrants. This order effectively branded New York as a "sanctuary state," limiting cooperation with federal immigration authorities.
Current Investigation: Letitia James is now probing local law enforcement officials in various counties, including Oswego and Nassau County, for allegedly defying Cuomo's executive order by assisting ICE and DHS.
Critique of Letitia James:
Notable Quotes:
"Letitia James is using state resources to look at cops who are doing their jobs." ([02:50])
"Federal law trumps over state law. So Letitia James is no case. Why is she wasting her time?" ([02:50])
“It’s an unbelievable executive order that restricts or bars New York State law enforcement from aiding and investigating, arresting or deporting illegal immigrants.” ([00:29])
The commentator further contextualizes the issue within the broader political and social climate:
Impact on New York City: Highlighting the challenges faced by New York City, including an influx of illegal immigrants and the strain on law enforcement resources.
Sanctuary Policies: Criticizes sanctuary city policies for allegedly allowing criminals, such as child molesters, rapists, convicted murderers, and gang members, to remain in the city, thereby exacerbating public safety concerns.
Federal vs. State Jurisdiction: Reinforces the constitutional principle that federal laws take precedence over state directives, supporting the argument that New York's executive order conflicts with federal immigration enforcement policies.
Bill O’Reilly wraps up the episode by underscoring the significance of Letitia James' actions within the current political landscape. He emphasizes the potential ramifications for New York State’s law enforcement and the delicate balance between state and federal authority. The episode serves as a critical examination of the motivations behind political maneuvers and their impact on public policy and safety.
